Ch 58: Diancie the Diamond princess
In an series of caverns beneath Kalos , lye a massive kingdom of diamond jewels running through the caverns as massive structures. Living in these caverns were thousands of small rock like pokemon with long ears, white foam like fur around their necks, blue eyes, and clear diamond around their bodies.
Dozens of these pokemon huddled up against a large diamond formation acting as a wall.
"Brace!" One of the pokemon shouted. He and his comrades braced before an explosion tore through the wall, hurling the pokemon back.
As the smoke cleared a team Flare officer walked up with a pair of Golduck beside him. The officer wore a pair of orange goggles, had a short tie on his uniform, wore a pair of blue latex gloves, and had 3 streaks of orange hair around his head with a flare like patch coming out of the back.
He smiled as he looked down at the pokemon.
"Water gun" He said as his Golduck blasted the pokemon with water doing a lot of damage. Moments later 8 team Flare grunts each with a Simisage beside them and a rocket launcher in hand.
"Keep moving!" The officer said.
The Flare grunts rushed forward and blasted through the diamond formations. After blasting through the diamond formations their Simisage would climb over the destroyed diamonds and blast the rock pokemon with Seed Bomb as the poor rock pokemon tried to scatter.
Deeper inside the cavern another one of the rock pokemon stood before a sylph-like Pokémon with a white chest and arms resembling a dress. Its headdress consists of pink crystals, four short ones cresting along top pointing upward and two long ones on either side of its head pointing downward, with a diamond-cut centerpiece framed by its slim gray ears. A smaller pink crystal is also embedded in the back of its head and a gold nugget is embedded in its forehead. Its eyes are red with pink irises. A gold crescent circles its neck, with the ends joined by a rhomboid gem. Its lower body resembles a large oblong chunk of stone, with a large pink crystal protruding from it.
The two pokemon stood before a massive pinkish red diamond attached to the chamber ceiling to a system of more diamonds.
"Princess Diancie our guards can't hold them back any longer. It's time for you to go now".
"But Dace this is my home, and these are my people I can't just abandon them" Diancie said.
"Princess I know why these humans want you. If they were to capture you then unspeakable things would happen not just to our kingdom but all of Kalos. Perhaps the entire world".
"What are you talking about Dace?".
"Oh princess I wish I could tell you , but there's no time. Your father made me promise to keep you safe and I refuse to break that promise. You need to leave now!".
Elsewhere in the cavern as dozens of team flare grunts continued to blow their way through the diamond city, the same officer marched up a pathway to a large diamond structure in the center of the cavern city.
Beside him were 4 Flare Paladins in full armor with swords, shields, and a Bisharp beside them. As they approached the doorway a dozen of the rock pokemon quickly came forward from the doorway and formed a line as a thick wall of diamond formed around the doorway.
The Flare officer raised an eyebrow at the pokemon.
"Begone foul intruders we will never let you break the royal sanctum!" One of the pokemon shouted.
"Move or be moved" The officer said. The pokemon all stood together.
"Together!" The same pokemon said as they all unleashed Stone edge.
"Confusion" The officer said. The two Golducks' eyes glowed blue as they halted the spiked rocks flying at the officer. The Bisharps began cutting through the rocks with metal claw as the paladins used their shields and broadswords to protect themselves.
"Metal claw!".
"Hydro pump". The two Golduck blasted the rock pokemon with 2 powerful jets of water that hurled them all back into the wall of diamond. As soon as the waters passed the 4 Bisharp sprinted forward and began slashing the pokemon.
Once they were all unconscious the Bisharps stepped back away from the diamond sealed doorway as a pair of rocket grunts with rocket launchers stepped up.
"Blow the doorway" The officer said. The two grunts aimed and fired at the diamond wall, blowing it open.
The chamber where Diancie and Dace were standing shook.
"Oh no they're breached the royal sanctum. Princess you need to leave now".
"You'll come with me right Dace?".
"No Diancie I cannot. My place is here" Dace said as Diancie started to tear up. 3 of the rock pokemon came hopping over to her.
"Knight, Merrick, Joker you three are assigned to protect the princess with your lives. Do not let any harm come to her".
"Yes sir!" The shouted before Joker tripped over himself and tumbled to the ground taking the other two with him.
"Oh we're doomed" Dace said shaking his head.
"Dace where do I go?" Diancie said.
"Diancie you must find the Aura Guardians , only they will be able to protect you".
"But who are these guys and where are they?".
"There's no time to explain princess. You need to leave now!" Dace said. More tears came from Diancie's eyes as she turned and left the chamber with the other 3.
A few minutes later he heard an explosion behind him. He turned to see the sealed diamond doorway blown open and two of the guards unconscious.
The 4 paladins walked in followed by the officer and his Golducks. The officer stared into the eyes of Dace as he stared back.
"I assume you understand what I'm saying pokemon so I'm only going to ask this once. Where is your princess?" .
"I'll die before telling you" Dace said.
"That can be arranged" The officer said before his two Golducks blasted Dace with Hydropump and hurled him back into the wall. After nearly a minute of excruciating pain Dace was dropped to the floor as the water faded.
The officer walked over and picked up Dace.
"The boss doesn't like killing pokemon. But his goal is to preserve the beauty of this world and its life. He will accept collateral damage if it means reaching the goal" The officer said.
"I know what you people are planning. I would die before letting that happen again" Dace said.
The officer threw Dace back against a wall before taking out a communicator.
"Sir Diancie is gone".
"Xerosic Diancie is crucial to the operation. Without her we cannot hope to activate the weapon".
"I assure you Lysandre I will get Diancie. There is no where on this planet that she can hide from me" Xerosic said before deactivating his communicator. He then saw a pathway on the other side of the room.
He then turned to the Paladin's.
"You get a team of grunts and follow that pathway, the rest of you come with me. We're going to search this city for any pokemon who might talk if persuaded enough".
Elsewhere Diancie and her 3 guards rushed down the pathway as fast as they could.
"Hurry up guys I can feel someone else coming down the hallway!" Diancie said.
"We're going as fast as we can princess!" Knight said.
Diance turned around and saw in the distance a team Flare Paladin and 4 grunts rushing towards them.
"There she is!" The Paladin shouted.
" Oh no come on guys!" Diancie said. The other 3 tried to catch up but Joker tripped causing the others to crash.
"No guys" Diancie said.
"Just leave us princess, save yourself" Joker said.
Diancie looked up and saw the flare members only a few yards away from them.
"NO!" Diancie said as her eyes glowed red. Suddenly the cave started to shake as the Flare members were knocked over. As the Paladin got up he saw wall of diamonds form between them and the pokemon.
"No! No!" The Paladin shouted as he ran over just before the wall was completed. He smashed his sword against the Diamond, but it didn't even scratch the wall.
"No!" The Paladin screamed.
"Come on guys!" Diance said as she helped her guards up.
"Blow it!" The Paladin said as one of his grunts got up and planted an explosive charge on the wall of diamonds.
"Let's go!" Diancie said as she and her guards rushed down the path. 20 seconds later when the grunts got to a safe distance the charge went off and blew the wall of diamonds apart.
When the smoke cleared the Paladin and his grunts walked through only to find their target was gone.
"Come on, they can't give gotten to far".
Meanwhile Diancie and her guards continued down the hall until they reached the end of the cave and saw the above ground world.
"Woah I've never seen the world above, it's beautiful!" Diancie said.
"No time to sightsee princess those men are still a after us" Knight said.
Miles away in Santalune city a group of young men and woman were just outside the pokemon center. Ash and Red were on the battlefield with their Charizard's out.
"Charizard Air Slash" Ash said.
"Charizard after him with Steel Wing" Red said. The two Charizards kicked off the ground and soared into the air. As Ash's Charizard flew higher Red's Charizard quickly after him with his wings turned metal.
"Now Charizard!" Ash said as his Charizard made a sharp turn and flew directly under Red's Charizard before slashing him across his stomach with his wings and claws.
"Great job!" Ash said.
"Charizard Dragon claw, grab his tail!". Red's Charizard quickly grabbed Ash's Charizard by the tail and pulled him back before clawing the other Charizard across the back with his claws.
As the two Charizards clashed Serena and the others watched from a table. Also sitting with them at the table was Viola who was taking a few pictures of the battling Charizards.
"It's nice seeing you again Viola" Serena said.
"It's nice seeing you guys again too, you wouldn't believe how busy i've been at the gym with so many trainers trying to get their last badge before the Kalos league in 2 months".
"Ash and Red just got their 8th badges from Wulfric" Clemont said.
"Really how's Wulfric doing?" Viola asked.
"Extravagant as always" Korrina said.
"Korrina I never would have guessed you would start dating some trainer you met on the road" Viola said.
" Me either, but meeting Red was one of the best things to ever happen to me" Korrina said.
Elsewhere just outside Santalune city Diancie and her guards were at the edge of route 21 when they saw Santalune city.
"Woah what is this place!?" Diancie said amazed.
"This is a city, it's a domain of humans and the pokemon that they raise" Knight said.
"Well if it's a domain for human's then maybe we could find an aura guardian here" Diancie said as they entered the city. Minutes later a Team Flare Paladin and his grunts approached the city.
"Santalune city, they entered the city" The Paladin said.
"Uh are you sure we should follow, if someone see's us the army will lock down the city until they find us" One of his grunts said.
"We're not leaving without Diancie" The Paladin said as he sheathed his sword.
Twenty minutes later Ash and Red had finished their practice battle. Red returned his Charizard but Ash's Charizard went alone under a tree.
It had been almost a week since Charizard and Delphox's relationship had ended and he had been depressed ever since. Every day Ash tried to comfort his pokemon and re-engergize him with battling and training.
Charizard seemed to show a new tenacity and excitement during training and battle but after training would end he would go back to depression. While Ash had managed to help Charizard some, his pokemon was still quite down.
"He's still not himself again" Serena said concerned.
"I can't believe Delphox would do this to him" Bonnie said.
"It's not the first time I've seen a pokemon heartbreak" Viola said.
"I think Charizard needs closure, he needs to know why Delphox chose Zoroark over him Serena" Korrina said.
"That's the thing, I don't know why Delphox chose Zoroark over Charizard" Serena said.
"Well just send her out and have her tell him" Ash said.
"Good idea" Serena said as she took out Delphox's pokeball. Delphox came out and saw the group in front of her.
"Delphox I need you to go over to Charizard and tell him why you left him" Serena said. Delphox immediately gave an uncomfortable expression as her face turned red.
"Phox" She said shaking her head.
"What? What do you mean no? Charizard is in pain because you left him. The least you could do is tell him why" Serena said. Delphox shook her head again before touching her pokeball and going back inside.
"What!? Delphox you get back out here and give Charizard closure!" Serena shouted.
Hearing this Charizard only got feeling worse as he let out a sigh.
"Oh no , I better go check on him" Ash said as he walked over to his Charizard.
Serena sighed as she sweat dropped looking at Delphox's pokeball.
"Well I guess Delphox doesn't want to talk about it" Viola said. Ash sat down next to Charizard and put his hand on his shoulder.
"Charizard you ok?". Charizard closed his eyes and shook his head.
"Charizard I know how you feel. You're feeling depressed, like you've lost something you truly cared about. I felt the same way after what happened with the team Flare grunt. I know it seems bad but you have to realize that you are an amazing pokemon with amazing abilities. I still care about you and so does the rest of the family" Ash said.
Charizard turned to Ash and saw Pikachu nodding.
"Pika Pikachu" Pikachu said. Charizard also noticed the part of the scar on Ash's face and remembered how Ash got the scar. Charizard realized that he still had plenty who cared about him and it made him feel a little better, but he wasn't all the way there yet.
Charizard licked the side of Ash's face before getting up and going back inside his pokeball.
"Well at least he's not moping around" Ash said before walking over to the others. Elsewhere Diancie and her guards were slowly moving through the sides of the streets without being noticed by anyone on the street.
"This place is amazing! I've never seen so many different things before. I wish we could stay".
"Well I'm sorry princess but we need to find an aura guardian before one of those flare humans find us" Merrick said.
"Aww that's no fun" Diancie said as they entered an alley. A few minutes later in the alley a pair of team Flare Grunts were carefully moving through the alley.
"See anything?" One said.
"No, I'm just hoping we can get out of here before" The other started before he saw Diancie and her guards.
"Hey look it's Diancie!". Knight heard the grunt and turned to see them.
"Oh no we need to run!".
"Why?" Diancie said before she saw the flare grunts.
"Run!". The 4 quickly moved down the alley as fast as they could.
"Sir we found them, come north of Elm street" One of the grunts said over the radio. Several yards later Diancie saw the Paladin and his other 2 grunts come out from a corner with his sword drawn, a Bisharp out and a pair of Simisages out beside the grunts.
"Oh no lookout princess!" Merrick said as he and the other 2 guards got in front of her.
"Metal Claw!" The Paladin shouted as his Bisharp rushed forward and slashed the 3 guards.
"Oh no !" Diancie said as she saw her guards getting slashed.
"Princes run!" Joker shouted.
"I can't leave you guys" She said.
"You're more important than us, if they get you all will be lost. Please just run!" Knight shouted. Diancie turned and saw the other 2 grunts coming up behind her.
As much as it pained Diancie she rushed down another alley path away from the Flare members.
"Forget these 3 we need to get Diancie" The Paladin said as he and his grunts rushed after Diancie.
"Stop her use Seed Bomb!". The two Simisages unleashed a furry of explosive seeds down the alley exploding as they made contact with the ground and walls. Diancie tried to create small amounts of diamond behind her to absorb the blows.
Eventually one got through and exploded as it hit her back.
"Ahh!" Diancie cried out in pain. Diancie tripped and fell over a ledge at the end of the alley before tumbling out onto the pavement making a large thud sound.
"Ouch" She said.
"Did you guys hear something?" Serena said. The group turned to see a small rock pokemon with diamonds growing out of her head and what looked like a small white dress.
"What is that?" Clemont said.
"I don't know but it looks hurt" Viola said. Serena rushed over and picked up the pokemon in her arms.
"Oh you poor thing, what happened to you?" Serena said.
"I was attacked".
"Huh?!" The group said in disbelief.
"Did, did you just say that to me?" Serena said.
"Of course" Diancie said.
Ash, Red, and Korrina could feel a very powerful presence around the pokmeon.
"How are you talking to us?" Clemont said.
"I don't know, I guess through my mind" Diancie said.
"Who are you?" Serena said.
"My name's Diancie, I'm the diamond princess".
"The diamond princess?" Serena said.
"I'm sorry but I can't explain right now, I'm being chased and I really need to find the aura guardians" Diancie said.
"What? Why do you need to find the aura guardians?" Red said.
"I was told they were the only one's who could protect me from those who are trying to take me" Diancie said.
"Who's after you?" Serena said. Moments later the team Flare Paladin leapt from the ledge and landed in front of the group with his sword drawn before his four grunts came up beside him.
"Them!" Diancie said sounding very scared.
"Give us that pokemon or die!" The Paladin said raising his sword.
"Team Flare!" Viola said. Serena backed up as Ash , Korrina, and Red stepped forward.
"You're not getting this pokemon" Red said.
"Very well" The Paladin said as he rushed at Red with his sword raised.
"Red look out!" Viola shouted. Just before the sword could hit Red, he brought up his forearm and blocked the sword with his hidden blade.
"Huh!?" The Paladin said before Red pushed him off him the blasted the man back with a burst of aura.
"Oh crap they're aura guardians" One of the grunts said.
"Wait you guys are aura guardians" Diancie said.
"Those three are" Serena said.
"Bisharp use Metal claw!" The Paladin said.
"Simisage use Seed bomb".
"Go Charizard" Red shouted.
"Pikachu Iron Tail!" Pikachu leapt forward and blocked Bisharp's claws with his tail before thrusting it aside and smashing him across the face knocking him back.
"Steel wing into Flamethrower!".
"Thunderbolt!". Pikachu blasted Bisharp with electricity knocking him out. At the same time Red's Charizard turned his wings metal and absorbed the seed bombs explosions before blasting the 4 Simisages with his Flamethrower.
"Dam it!" The Paladin shouted before rushing forward and swinging his shield at Red. Red dove forward and kicked the Paladin's calf making him lurch back as he raised his sword. Red caught the sword with his left wrist blade before thrusting his right wrisrtblade into the Paladin's shoulder armor tearing it off before bashing his elbow into the man's face.
As the Paladin stumbled backwards Red blasted him with another burst of aura. Two of the grunts had already rushed at Ash with electric batons raised. Ash quickly blocked one of the grunt's with his forearm while slicing the other electric baton in half with one of his hidden blades.
He then crashed his foot into the left grunt's calf before kneeing him in the face as his head came down. As the other grunt tried to grab Ash he got a hold of the man's arm and forced it back against it's joint before smashing his palm into the man's neck.
Meanwhile the other grunts came at Korrina before she delivered a powerful kick to the first one's stomach and blocked the other one's baton with her hidden blades. She then locked her elbow around the man's opposite elbow before coming inside his arms and smashing her other elbow into his face.
As the other grunt rushed forward with his electric baton raised high , Korrina lunched forward and sliced it in half with both her hidden blades before plowing her fist into the man's face.
Meanwhile the Paladin slowly got up and raised his sword.
"Pikachu Thunderbolt!".
"Pika chu!" he shouted as he blasted the Paladin with a burst of electricity quickly conducting through the Paladin's armor knocking him out.
"You, you stopped them" Diancie said.
"It's ok you're safe" Ash said.
"So you three are really aura guardians" Diancie said.
"Yes, we're members of the brotherhood" Korrina said.
"Thank goodness" Diancie said.
"Ok can you tell us more about who you are now" Korrina said.
"Well I, wait my bodyguards!" Diancie said.
"You're bodyguards?" Clemont said.
" Yes 3 of my trusted royal guards who tried to protect me from these people. They're back in that cave over there" Diancie said pointing to the alley.
"Cave? You mean the alley?" Ash said.
"I guess" Diancie said. The group searched in the alley and found 3 rock pokemon lying on the ground.
"Knight! Merrick! Joker!" Diancie said.
"Princess" Joker said slowly opening his eyes.
"Oh no they've caught her!" Merrick said.
"No these aren't the bad people, these guys are aura guardians" Diancie said.
"You are?" Knight said.
"Yes" Ash said.
"Oh thank heavens" Joker said.
"You all still look hurt, the pokemon center is just around the corner. Nurse joy should have a look at you" Serena said.
Several minutes later after nurse Joy checked on Diancie and her bodyguards before they went back outside the pokemon center.
"Ok nurse Joy said that you guys should be ok. I suppose we never properly introduced ourselves. My name is Serena".
"I'm Ash".
"I'm Red".
"Korrina".
"Bonnie".
"Clemont"
"Viola".
"You know what my name is, but these are my bodyguards Knight, Merrick, and Joker" Diancie said.
"I've never seen pokemon like this before" Red said opening his pokedex.
"Carbink the Jewel Pokemon:Born from temperatures and pressures deep underground, it fires beams from the stone in its head."
"Diancie the Jewel Pokemon: It can instantly create many diamond by compressing the carbon in the air between its hands."
"You pokemon are amazing" Viola said taking a picture of Diancie.
"Huh" Diancie said.
"I just took a picture of you" Viola said showing Diancie the picture.
"Wow it's me, how did you do that?" Diancie said.
"With the camera".
"What's a camera?".
"Diancie we need to know who you are and why those Flare grunts were after you" Korrina said.
"Ok I'm called the Diamond Princess because I am the princess of the underground diamond kingdom".
"Diamond Kingdom?" Serena said.
" Wait a minute I've heard that legend before" Korrina said.
"Our people have lived underneath Kalos for hundreds of thousands of years. Our cities our made of Diamond carrying the life energy and life-force of our people" Knight said.
"Diancie is our princess, the current in a long line of Diancies that rule all Carbink and the underground kingdoms" Joker said.
"Why does Diancie rule?" Viola said.
"Diancie is able to create the gems that fuel our cities and sustain our people. The energy in the diamonds. But most important of all is the gem of life".
"The gem of life?" Ash said.
"The gem of life if the heart of our civilization. A massive diamond created by Diancie that provides the energy and life-force in every diamond structure in our civilization" Merrick said.
"That's amazing" Serena said.
"Our city was attacked by an army of those men and the lord of our civilization Dace told me I had to leave before they caught me. But before I left he told me to find the aura guardians. That you would keep me safe" Diancie said.
"Well Diancie we are aura guardians and we will keep you safe" Ash said.
"He's right, we won't let anything bad happen to you" Serena said.
"Wow thanks you guys" Diancie said.
"Hold on you've met us but you haven't met our Pokemon" Ash said as Pikachu leapt down and he let his other pokemon out. Serena and the others soon did the same.
"Pika Pikachu" Pikachu said to Diancie.
"Hello nice to meet you too Pikachu" Diancie said before she greeted each of the other pokemon.
"So what exactly do aura guardians do?" Diancie said.
"Well Aura guardians are an ancient organization of humans with aura powers that create special bonds with our pokemon. We then use that bond to strengthen our aura abilities to protect pokemon and people around the world from disasters and groups of people who would bring them harm" Korrina said.
"So you use aura" Diancie said.
"Let us show you" Ash said as he took deep breath and formed a sphere of aura in his hand before letting it burst into a wave that blew around the group.
"Wow, so if you three are aura guardians then why are the rest of you with them?" Diancie said.
"We may be aura guardians but we're more inactive members. We help when we can but we have lives outside the brotherhood. Clemont and Bonnie are our friends, and Serena is my girlfriend" Ash said.
"But wait why is Bonnie your friend and not your girlfriend if she's a girl?" Diancie said.
"Uh Diancie that's not what girlfriend means" Ash said.
"It doesn't?".
"No" Korrina said sweat dropping.
"You see girlfriend is someone you have a special romantic relationship with" Serena said.
"Oh so you're mates! Do you have any children?". Ash and Serena's faces instantly turned red.
"No we're not mates!" Ash said.
"Oh but I thought you said you were in a romantic relationship?" Diancie said.
"Yes, just not like that" Serena said.
"Grauu" Charizard growled in an irritated tone. All this talk about relationships kept reminding him of Delphox.
"Oh sorry Charizard" Ash said.
"So if you're not always saving pokemon then what else do you guys do?" Diancie said.
"Well we're pokemon trainers. We train our pokemon so they can grow stronger and defeat other pokemon in gym battles" Red said.
"Gym battles?" Diancie said.
"A gym is a place in a city where a gym leader like me challenges trainers and their pokemon to test their abilities. If they beat me then they get a badge, if they get 8 badges they can enter the pokemon league where they face other trainers who won 8 badges" Viola said.
"Wait Ash , Red , Serena do you have gym all 8 gym badges?".
"Ash and Red do, but I don't pursue gym battles. I'm part of the battle chateau" Serena said before explaining the battle chateau.
"So you and your pokemon must really be close" Diancie said.
" We are" Ash said as Pikachu climbed on his shoulder.
"So Diancie how long do you need to stay with us?" Korrina said.
"I don't know, Dace didn't say for how long" Diancie said.
"I assume until Team Flare is dealt with" Red said.
"Well we're heading to Lumoise city. When we get there our dad could take you to the guardian enclave. You'd be much safer there" Ash said.
"What? But I thought I was staying with you guys?" Diancie said.
"Well Diance it's not that we don't like you, but you'd be much safer at the enclave. There are hundreds of aura guardians at the enclave" Korrina said.
"But you guys are my friends. I feel safer with you" Diancie said.
"Please princess if they say you'd be safer at that enclave you should go" Knight said.
"Aww, but I like you guys" Diancie said.
"We like you too Diancie , we just want to keep you safe" Korrina said. Pikachu noticed Charizard was mopping in the corner again and saw Delphox nuzzling Zoroark. Pikachu finally had had enough of this and ran over to Delphox.
"Pika Pikachu!".
Delphox turned to him.
"Phox" She said sounding uneasy.
"Pika Pikachu!" Pikachu said pointing to Charizard. Delphox turned to Charizard and saw how heartbroken he looked. She sighed before turning to Zoroark.
"Phox" She said.
"Zor" Zoroark said nodding. Delphox walked over to Charizard and sat next to him.
"Phox" She said. Charizard turned to her and let out a sad growl.
"Phox" She said putting her hands on his shoulders. Charizard turned to her.
"Wait Ash look!" Serena said as she saw what was happening.
"What's going on?" Diancie said.
"It's a long story" Red said.
"Phox, Delphox" Delphox explained to Charizard that she was sorry about the way she ended things with him. That she didn't think any less of him as a pokemon. She explained that the reason she chose Zoroark over him was that as she spent more time with Zoroark she found they had more in common and more chemistry. That a lot of their relationship had been built on rushed feelings and infatuation.
The more Charizard thought about it , the more he realized she was right. They hadn't built a complex relationship on feelings on a deep level.
"Phox" She said trying to apologize for not wanting to say this to him and end it right, but she was so ashamed of the way she just went to Zoroark that she could face him. She wanted it to be right between them.
Charizard raised his head and took deep breath.
"Grauu" He said in a more confident tone. The two got up and gave each other a short hug.
"Phox".
"Grauu" Both saying "Friends". Ash could feel from his connection with Charizard that he had finally gotten closure and was ready to move on. Just like Ash had last week.
"Well that' another problem taken care of" Ash said. Later that night in the pokemon center Ash and Serena were in their room with Diancie.
"So you humans sleep in rooms like this" Diancie said.
"Yes we do" Serena said as she tied her hair up into a ponytail.
"I really love it up here" Diancie said as she looked out the window at Santalune city.
"Up here?" Serena said.
"The above world, I've spent my entire life underground. As much as I love my people and my kingdom. I always wondered what the world above would be like, and it's even better than I imagined. The trees, the rivers, the sky, and the pokemon I saw in the forests were just amazing. Then I got to see the city, all the buildings, made of things other than Diamonds. It was unbelievable!" Diancie said.
"Well I'm glad you like it up here so much. Maybe someday I could see your kingdom" Serena said.
"I would love for you to see my kingdom! But then again it's in ruins right now. Those team Flare people ransacked it to try and get me. All I could do is run away" Diancie said sounding hurt.
Serena heard this and came over to her.
Diancie it's going to be ok, I'm sure when the other guardians find out about what's happening they'll head down there and force them out" Serena said.
"I suppose" Diancie said.
"Diance you don't have to be afraid. I know Ash better than anyone and he's a protector. He won't let anything bad happen to you. It's one of the reasons I love him" Serena said.
"But wait if you love Ash then why don't you two have any kids?" Diancie said. Serena's face turned red again.
"Diancie I'll explain this to you later" She said.
"Alright". Moments later there was a series of knocks on the door. When the door burst open , Knight, Joker, and Merrick came in.
"Princess we need to stay with you. Don't abandon us so lightly!" Knight said.
"Sorry Knight" Diancie said. Moments later Ash came out of the bathroom in his black gym shorts.
"Ash I was just asking Serena why you two haven't had kid's yet, but she wouldn't tell me" Diancie said. Ash's face turned red.
"Diancie that's a discussion for another time" Ash said.
"Why are you two so squeamish about this?" Diancie said.
"Another time!" Ash said.
"Alright, alright I'm pretty tired anyway" Diancie said. She went over to the corner and her eyes started glowing as she formed a bed of Diamonds under her.
"Woah is she making diamonds" Ash said.
"Diancie has the ability to create diamonds. Like she said her abilities to create diamonds is what spawned out civilization" Joker said.
" It's incredible" Serena said. Diancie laid down on the diamonds and closed her eyes.
"Goodnight". Knight, Merrick, and Joker went over to Diancie and formed a circle around her.
"What are you doing?" Serena said.
"Me must stay vigilant. This Flare monsters could come at any time" Knight said.
"Pika" Pikachu said yawning before jumping off Ash's shoulder and onto the left pillow.
"Well we're going to get some sleep. You may want to do the same" Ash said.
"What? While the princess is still in danger. No we must" Knight stared before he saw his two companions sleeping.
"Oh my" He said shaking his head. Ash and Serena laid down in the bed as Serena cuddled next to Ash.
"Well I guess we have another pokemon to look after" Ash said.
"I know but she's really sweet" Serena said.
"I know, I'm not complaining. Besides I'm just happy that Charizard is finally over Delphox" Ash said.
"Yeah he's over her, and you and I are over our fears. Everything is back to normal".
"Except the fact that we're taking care of a pokemon princess" Ash said.
"I suppose, but in a few more weeks I'll be competing in the Grand Festival for a shot at the rank Grand duchess. I'm so excited" Serena said.
"I'm excited too, I know you're going to do great. You and your pokemon put the work in and you're ready to perform". Serena turned her eyes to his.
"Thank you Ash, for everything. I never could have gotten as far as I have without you. I love you so much" She said before kissing him.
Elsewhere in a hidden fortress Lysandre was looking out a view screen towards something below. Behind him the door opened as Xerosic walked in.
"Report" Lysandre said.
"Sir, we scoured the entire city and there were no signs of her. However, a team I sent after Diancie said they almost had her until a group of young aura guardians in the city stopped them".
"Young guardians. Was one raven haired with a Pikachu?" .
"Yes sir".
"Dam that boy, he's interfered with my plans for the last time" Lysandre said. He turned around and faced Xerosic.
"I'm through sending grunts and Paladins to stop him when he clearly is above their abilities. If I want to get Diancie and end that pesky boy's interference I'll have to do it myself".
"Sir?" Xerosic said confused.
"Ash Ketchum still believes me to be a friend. I shall use that to my advantage when I meet him in Lumoise city. Diancie will be mine and he will no longer be a threat" Lysandre said before turning back to the window.
"And once we have Diancie, then we will have everything we need to ensure the protection of the worlds beauty. No one will ever foul this lovely world again. Never" Lysandre said.

Yup the movie 17 arc has started, however, if any of you have seen Diancie and the cacoon of destruction you probably know that this is loosely based on it.
Also if any of you haven't seen movie 17 check it out, it's pretty good.
Diancie will temporarily be part of the group but no one catches her. Sorry to disappoint you. Also know that the Grand festival will happen before anything too major with team flare happens.
Also Charizard is officially over what happened with Delphox and is ready to move on.
I'm also proud of myself as this is the 3rd chapter i've posted in one week. I hope you guys appreciate the extra time I have, because I sure do.
So anyway I hope I can keep updating this fast until vacation is over.
