Ch 60: The night before
Almost two weeks has passed since the grip arrived in Lumoise city. Since then Ash and Red had spent much of their time training with each other and training Serena. They would also take Diancie around the city after training.
One morning Diancie and her guards were with Sycamore and Alaina.
"Ok here I go" Diancie said as she glowed her eyes and made a heart diamond beneath her.
"Incredible" Alaina said.
"The legends are true, you're are incredible Diancie " Syacmore said.
"Thank you professor" Diancie said.
"So how old are you Diancie?" Alaina said.
"Well let's see. I was with my dad for about 400 years and it's been about 100 years since he passed on so about 500 years".
"500 years! You're 500 years old!" Sycamore said.
"So , that's not that old" Diancie said.
"Diancie I'm only 37 years old" Syacmore said.
"37 years old , but you look like you're at least 800 years old" Diancie said.
"Diancie humans and other pokemon don't live quite as long as your people" Alaina said.
" Really? How long do humans live for?" Diancie said.
"Well if they are healthy then usually 90 to 100 years" Syacmore said.
"What? That's so young" Diancie said.
Meanwhile elsewhere in the enclosure Ash and Serena were having a practice battle at the same time Red and Korrina did.
"Furfrou use Headbutt".
" Mightyena use Crunch, wait for him to get close". Mightyena waited until Furfrou got close then quickly lurched to the side as Furfrou's head came down. Once Furfrou's head was past her Mightyena wrapped her massive jaws around Furfrou's neck.
"Gotcha!" Ash said as Furfrou struggled to break free.
"Furfrou use Tail whip!" Furfrou began smacking his tail into Mightyena lowering her defenses.
"Now use Retaliate" Serena said. Fufrou jerked his head around and knocked Mightyena in the head , forcing her to let him go.
"Perfect now use Sand attack".
"Roar!" Ash shouted. As Furfrou splashed sand towards Mightyena , she unleashed a powerful Roar that picked up the sand and carried it back into Furfrou's face.
Furfrou whined as the sand came into his eyes and he tried to wipe it out.
"Mightyena Take down".
"Furfrou use Take down right in front of you!" Serena said.
"Come in low!" Ash said. Both dogs lunged forward , but Mightyena came in lower and gained leverage over her opponent.
Furfrou was forced backwards and onto his back as Mightyena came over him and pinned him to the ground.
Serena sighed.
"The grand festival starts tomorrow and I'm still messing up".
"It's alright Serena, you can't let a practice battle get you down. Let's keep going" Ash said.
"You're right" Serena said. Mightyena lowered her head and nuzzled Furfrou before both pokemon were returned.
" Go Totodile!" Ash said.
"Go Zoroark!" Serena said.
Zoroark came out and snarled as Totodile danced around. Zorark transformed himself into a Feraligator.
"Totodile use Water gun". Totodile opened his mouth and blasted a jet of water at Zoroark.
"Zoroark use Feint Attack" Just before the water could hit Zoroark he cloaked himself in darkness and vanished before the water could hit him. He reappeared behind Totodile and knocked him in the back.
"Dile" Totodile said as he was knocked forward.
"Aqua tail!". As Totodile went forward he pushed himself back off the ground with his hands and came back with his tail raised.
"Night Slash!". Zoroark turned his claws dark and hurled them forward at Totodile. Totodile knocked the claws away with his tail before smashing Zoroark in the face with his water covered tail.
Zoroark stumbled backwards as he reverted to his true form.
"Totodile use Water gun!".
"Zoroark use Agility into Night Slash". Zoroark quickly moved around with great speed as the water flew past him. As he moved closer Totodile unleashed another two Water guns, each missing.
"Totodile Aqua tail aim for the legs" Totodile came in low as he readied to strike with his tail.
"Jump now!". Zoroark leapt up and over Totodile just before he swung his tail forward. Zoroark landed behind Totodile just as his opponent turned to face him. Zoroark slashed Totodile across his face and chest with Night Slash before Totodile could unleash Aqua tail.
Totodile stumbled backwards as Zoroark came forward.
"Ice fang!".
"Feint Attack!". Totodile snapped his jaws forward as Zoroark vanished and reappeared behind Totodile before smashing him into the ground.
"Dile" Totodile said as he tried to get up. However, Zoroark put his foot onto Totodile's back and kept him on the ground.
"Alright great job Zoroark!" Serena said. Zoroark got off Totodile as the small blue crocodile got up.
"Alright good strives out there Totodile" Ash said before he went over to the pond.
Meanwhile Red's Pangoro and Korrina's Machamp had their hands locked as they tried to overpower the other.
"Machamp use your other arms!" Korrina said.
"Pangoro use your arms!" Red shouted. Pangoro knocked Machamp's upper arms aside before grabbed Machamp's lower wrists and lifting Machamp up.
"Oh no" Korrina said as Pangoro held Machamp over his body.
"Hammer arm". Pangoro hurled Machamp up before jumping into the air and smashed his fist into Machamp's face hurling him into the ground.
When Pangoro landed he saw Machamp wasn't getting back up.
"Alright I think Pangoro won" Korrina said.
"Sweet great job Pangoro" Red said. As Korrina returned Machamp she noticed for the first time that Clemont and Bonnie weren't there.
"Hey where are Clemont and Bonnie?".
"I think Clemont said that they were spending the day with their dad" Red said.
"I see" Korrina said. After Serena returned her Zoroark Diancie came over to then.
"So what are we going to do today?" Diancie said.
"Well we've seen most of the city already" Serena said.
"Can you guys think of anywhere we haven't been?" Ash said.
"Not sure I" Red started before they heard a knock on the lab door.
"Huh I wonder who that is?" Syamore said.
"I'll get it" Alaina said. Alaina walked to the door and opened it to see none other than a soldier. The soldier had honey blonde hair and blue eyes. In the center of the soldiers beret was a silver leaf symbol and on his camo uniform's chest area to his right was the name Achille.
Standing beside the soldier was a woman around his woman had short brown hair with a gold colored hair clip in it. She wore a black short sleeve shirt, tan pants and a green sweatshirt wrapped around her waist.
"Hello can I help you?" Alaina said.
"Yes we were told that our daughter is here?" The soldier said.
"Your daughter? Korrina?" Alaina said.
"Who?" The woman said.
"No ,Serena" The soldier said.
"Oh well she's inside" Alaina said as she opened the door and let them in. Back inside the enclosure the group was still trying to figure out their plans.
"Well if we've shown Diancie most of the city then I suppose we could head to the Grand Chateau Castle and check it out. I mean we will be there for the next few days. It would be nice to see what the inside looks like" Serena said.
"But we've already been inside" Korrina said.
"Oh right?" Serena said.
"So you're really competing in a castle" Diancie said.
" That's right Diancie" Serena said. That was when Alaina came into the enclosure.
"Serena, there are some people here to see you" Alaina said as Grace and Alex came in behind her.
"Mom, Dad!" Serena said.
Serena rushed over and into her father's arms as as he lifted her up and into the air.
"Oh there's my little girl" Alex said.
"What are you guys doing here?" Serena said as her father put her down.
"Well after you told us that you made it to the rank of duchess we knew we had to see you compete" Grace said.
"But dad I thought you were on assignment and couldn't use your leave time" Serena said.
"I was until general Chairon got a promotion to Major General. He thanked me for all my hard work by letting me get off assignment to see you compete" Alex said.
"Chairon, do you think dad had anything to do with that?" Ash whispered to Red.
"It wouldn't surprise me" Red said. That was when Serena noticed the rank insignia on her father's combat uniform was no longer a bronze leaf but a silver one.
"Wait a minute, dad have you been promoted?" Serena said.
"As a matter of fact I have. Two weeks ago I was promoted to Lieutenant Colonel".
"Really! That's so great! I'm so glad that you two could come!" Serena said. Ash and the others came over. Grace noticed them.
"So this is the boy you're dating" Grace said.
"Mrs. Achille nice to meet you" Ash said.
"So nice I finally get to meet the young man who my daughter couldn't stop thinking about for all those years".
"Mom" Serena said.
"I hope you kids have been keeping out of trouble since that power plant" Alex said.
"Right out of trouble" Ash said trying to hide his sweat drop.
"Hello my name's Diancie" Diancie said as she came over to Serena.
"Huh?!" Grace said.
"Did that pokemon just talk!?" Alex said.
""Sigh" Do we really have to go through this again" Korrina said.
"Mom , Dad , this is princess Diancie the Diamond princess. We're taking care of her" Serena said.
"Why are you taking care of a legendary pokemon. How did you find her?" Alex said.
"Well" Serena said sweat dropping as she tried to think of something.
"Well this is how it happened" Diancie started.
"Diancie!" Serena almost shouted.
"What happened is professor Sycamore found her when he was doing research in the southern part of Kalos" Red said.
"Right I was doing research when I stumbled upon her underground city" Sycamore said.
"But that's not who it" Diancie started.
"After he found Diancie he found out she was sick and took her back here to give her treatment. He was able to help her but Diancie didn't feel completely safe so we're helping her get back to her old self before she can go back" Korrina said.
"But team Flare" Merrick started.
"Right that's how it happened" Serena said trying to hide her sweat drop.
"But Serena" Diancie started before Pikachu stopped her.
"Pika Pikachu" He said trying to explain why they were not telling the truth.
"Well pleasure to meet you Diancie" Grace said as she knelt down.
"Nice to meet you mother and father of Serena" Diancie said.
"Well we were going to check out the Grand Chateau Castle" Serena said.
"Well we'd love to do that with you" Alex said. Thirty minutes later the group stood in front of the Grand Chateau Castle.
"Wow I've never seen a castle so big and not made of diamonds" Diancie said.
"It does look magnificent" Grace said. A pair of men wearing gray military like uniforms stood at the entrance with a third man wearing an expensive suit standing in front of them.
"Welcome to the Grand Chateau Castle. I'm afraid the Grand festival will be starting tomorrow and we are only letting competing members in" The man in the suit said.
"But I'd like to register, I'm a duchess" Serena said.
"Oh then, by all means" The man said as he allowed them in. The interior of the castle was just as the group remembered.
"Wow this place is amazing" Grace said. As they traveled through the castle the group noticed dozens of other dukes and duchesses in the castle.
"Well I didn't know so many servicemen were part of the battle chateau" Alex said when he saw all the soldiers and sailors in their service uniforms.
"So where do you go to register?" Ash said.
"I'm not sure" Serena said. Alex saw a 1 star admiral.
"Let me ask" he walked over to the admiral.
"Hello sir". The admiral turned to him.
"Oh hello Colonel. I'm Admiral Thompson, pleasure to meet you" The admiral said as he extend his hand.
"Pleasure to meet you too sir, my daughter is competing here and we're wondering where she should register".
"Oh, head to hall 4c registration is there".
"Thank you sir" Alex said before leading Serena and the others to the room. When they got there they saw several sets of knight armor along the walls with marble columns in between them.
"That's a long line" Serena said after she saw at least 40 people in front of a set up table.
"Well the sooner we get in the line the sooner you're registered" Ash said. The group got in line and waited before they reached the table.
"Hello and welcome to the Grand Festival, name please" a man wearing the same uniform as the men at the front door said.
"Serena Achille". The man looked through an tablet like device.
"Ash yes Serena Achille, just recently became duchess at Snowbelle city. Let me get you registered" The man said as he got onto a laptop.
"Alright you're registered in the grand festival. Let me get you you're room key" The man said as he took out a key.
"Room key?" Serena said.
"Yes contestants stay at the Castle during the Grand Festival".
"Wow that's amazing!" Serena said.
"Good luck" The man said as Serena stepped out of line with the others.
"Why don't your father and I find the room. Meet us in room 5a" Grace said as she walked off with Alex.
After her parents left Serena and the others went to one of the large lounge rooms in the castle.
"This castle is more extravagant than any of the other chateaus. I can't believe we get to stay here" Serena said.
"So Serena do you know what pokemon you're going to use for round one?" Ash said.
"I've been thinking hard and I'm probably going to use" Serena started.
"Well it doesn't matter who you use, you'll never beat me" An all too familiar voice said.
Serena cringed as she slowly turned around to see none other than Sara standing there.
"Oh no" Red said.
"It's that girl I beat" Korrina said.
"Sara" Serena said.
"I see you somehow made it to the rank of duchess, ashamed you'll never make it to Grand duchess" Sara said.
"Why's that?".
"Because I'm in this tournament which means I'll be winning" Sara said.
"This girl doesn't seem very nice" Diancie said.
"She's not" Red said.
"Just you wait, I've been training hard with my pokemon and we're ready for anyone here. I have my boyfriend to thank for that!" Serena said as she pulled Ash over to her and started kissing him.
"Oh you think that bothers me" Sara said.
"I think so" Red said as Korrina laughed a little. Sara watched as Serena continued kissing Ash as his face turned Red.
Diancie noticed Sara looked very bothered by this.
"Why does she look so bothered?" Diancie said.
"Pika"PIkachu said putting his hand behind his head.
"Oh" Diancie said. Sara started grinding her teeth and tightening her fists in anger.
"Forget you I'll see you in the tournament!" Sara said before storming off.
"Uh Serena she's gone" Red said.
"I think she knows" Korrina said. Serena let go of Ash as his face turned completely red.
"So that girl wants to mate with Ash" Diancie said.
"Diancie please stop saying that" Serena said. Several minutes later the group was in another area of the lounge. They saw there was a line of paintings on one of the walls each with a golden frame. Under each painting was a name.
"King Arno Sigma".
"King Lance Sigma".
"Queen Anna Verra"
"King Thomas Verra" The names said.
"These must have been the past kings and queens of Kalos" Serena said. As they saw continued Diancie noticed that there was a slot at the end of the line that was empty and the name.
"Hey what happened to this king?" Diancie said. The others came to the slot and saw it as well.
"Huh it looks like there was one here. I wonder what happened to it" Ash said. As he moved his hand closer and touched the wall he felt a strange sensation inside him and his aura.
Out of almost know where Ash saw a flash of a hidden blade slashing a painting off that very spot.
Serena noticed Ash fidget.
"Ash are you ok?" Serena said.
"Huh? Oh yeah I'm fine" Ash said not sure what just happened. Several minutes later after Alex and Grace rejoined the group as a man stepped onto the platform. The man was wearing a Kalos Marine service dress uniform.
It didn't take long for the group to recognize him as the marine who had inherited the Castle.
"Attention please" he said into a microphone as the crowd turned to him.
"Welcome one and all to the Grand Festival. I would lie to personally commend each and every one of you for achieving the rank of Duke or duchess. That is no simple task to complete. Now tomorrow we will be be hosting the first two of ten rounds. So please head to room 6A or 2E to check the listings for who you will each be facing tomorrow morning. This will allow us to move the battles along much easier tomorrow. After you check your listings please make your way to the main battle theater. Our guests of honor will be arriving to start off the Grand Festival with a battle between them ".
"Well we should probably head over to the listings before the lines get too long" Serena said. After checking the listings Serena saw her first match was against a woman named Rachel before making their way to the main battle theater, the same battle room that they had watched Daniel Rian face Cynthia.
"I wonder who the guests of honor are?" Red said as they sat down.
"Maybe it's Malva since she said she was coming?" Korrina said.
"Maybe?" Ash said.
"Wow this room is amazing! What are we going to watch?" Diancie said.
"A battle" Serena said.
"Really? But this doesn't look like the fields you've been battling in" Diancie said.
"It isn't because in the battle chateau fighting is done in a more classy manner" Serena said.
"More boring" Korrina said to herself. Once everyone was seated the same Marine came in and walked to the center of the battle stage with a microphone.
"Welcome one and all to the kickoff event of the Grand Festival. To start this momentous tournament we have invited two Grand dukes to return and have a one on one battle. Introducing our first Grand Duke, General Bertrand Ract-Madoux" The marine said as an older looking man with gray hair and green eyes. The man was wearing a Kalos army service dress uniform with 4 stars on his shoulder ranks.
"That's General Bertrand Ract-Madoux! The Commanding General of the entire Kalos army!" Alex said.
"That's the highest ranking officer in the army" Serena said.
"Remember that other general was also a Grand Duke" Ash said.
"Oh right" Serena said.
"Now for our other guest of honor. He is world famous and known to be the best in the world. Daniel Rian!".
"Daniel Rian!" Ash and the others shouted. On the other side of the battle stage Daniel Rian walked forward as the crowd let out an uproar of applause.
"Who is that?" Diancie said.
"That is Daniel Rian, he's the best pokemon trainer in the world" Ash said.
"Why is he the best?" Diancie said.
" Because he's beaten every regional champion" Red said.
"What makes them champions?" Diancie said.
" Diancie let's just watch the match" Korrina said. Bertrand and Daniel came to the center and shook hands before each giving a respectful bow and returning to their end of the battlefield as the Marine went to the side.
"The battle between Grand duke Bertrand and Grand duke Daniel is about to begin. Trainers choose your pokemon" .
"Alright to arms! Go Tyrantrum!" Bertrand said as he sent out a massive Tyrantrum. The Tyrantrum was much bigger than either Ash's or Grant's Tyrantrum and roared as he came out.
"En-Garde Rian" Bertrand said. Daniel took out a pokeball from his belt and hurled it forward.
To everyones' surprise none other than a Tyrantrum came out. Daniel's Tyrantrum was even bigger than Bertrand's Tyrantrum. It also had more blackish skin rather than red like Bertrand's or Ash's.
"Two Tyrantrums!" Grace said.
"Wow Tyrantrums I remember hearing about those from stories passed on from my ancestors" Diancie said.
"Tyrantrum use Earthquake!" Bertrand shouted.
"Dig in" Daniel said. Daniel's Tyrantrum smashed his feet into the ground before holding his snout to the ground. As the entire room shook, Daniel's Tyrantrum ws held in place looking completely unaffected.
"What?" Bertrand said.
"Tyrantrum use Head Smash!" Daniel said before his titan like pokemon sprinted forward making the room shake every time his massive feet hit the ground.
"Tyrantrum Stop him with Ancient power" Bertrand said. His Tyrantrum's eyes glowed violet as he unleashed several massive boulders at the other Tyrantrum. Daniel's Tyrantrum used his head to smash each boulder into pebbles as they came at him.
"Dam , wait until he get's close then lurch to the side and use Dragon tail on his legs" Bertrand said. Tyrantrum waited until he darker Tyrantrum got close then went to his side and raised his tail.
The moment he did that, Daniel's Tyrantrym took a sharp turn and slammed his head into Bertrand's Tyrantrum's side and hurled him backwards onto the ground.
"Woah did you see that!?" Korrina said in amazement.
"I've never seen a pokemon that big be that agile" Alex said. Bertrand's Tyrantrum got up and snarled.
"Tyrantrum Suppress him with Stone edge and then use Dragon Claw!" Bertrand's Tyrantrum unleashed a barrage of spiked rocks at Danie's Tyrantrum.
"Dragon tail". Daniel's Tyrantrum hurled his violet tail forward and smashed the incoming spiked rocks into pieces. As Bertrand's Tyrantrum came in with his claws raised, Daniel's Tyrantrum hurled his head forward and into Bertrand's chest , knocking him back.
As Bertrand's Tyrantrum stumbled backwards Daniel's Tyrantrum raised his tail and smashed it across his opponent's face , hurling him back and into the ground.
"It''s like he's a legendary pokemon" Korrina said.
"Rian's pokemon practically are legendary pokemon" Ash said.
"No surrender ever! Tyrantrum we fight to the end!" Bertrand said as his Tyrantrum got up and roared.
"Tyrantrum Giga Impact!" Bertrand shouted. Tyrantrum lowered his head and sprinted at Tyrantrum as he started glowing red.
"Tyrantrum Head Smash" Daniel said. Daniel's Tyrantrum lowered his head and sprinted forward at Bertrand's Tyrantrum. Everyone watched closely as the two dinosaurs clashed and shook the entire room.
After the collision Bertrand's Tyrantrum was hurled backwards and landed hard as he made impact with the floor.
"Tyrantrum!" Bertrand shouted. The dinosaur tried to get back up but fell back to the floor.
"Bertrand's Tyrantrum is unable to battle. The winner is Daniel Rian and his Tyrantrum".
"Well done" Daniel said as his Tyrantrum roared so loud that Ash and the others couldn't hear the audiences applause.
Bertrand returned his Tyrantrum and walked over to Daniel and shook his hand before each gave a respectful bow.
" How did Daniel get a dinosaur. It had to wait until I was a Lieutenant Colonel before I finally got one" Alex said.
"You have a dinosaur pokemon?" Serena said.
"Yes I finally got one earlier this week. A Cranidos" Alex said.
"Do you think we could try and meet Daniel again?" Red said.
"Well considering I can't even see him now" Ash said. Red looked back down and saw Daniel was gone.
"What?" Red said. Later that night as the sunset a dinner was served at the castle. The group sat at one table as a waiter cleared their plates.
"Well it's getting late we should probably head up to the room" Serena said.
"Right so make sure you all get here by 8:00 tomorrow" Grace said.
"Huh?" Serena said.
"Well we checked out the room and it's not big enough for all of us. Besides there are only 2 beds" Alex said.
"Right" Serena said.
"Well alright I guess we'll see you guys tomorrow" Ash said as he got up with Red and Korrina.
"Wait who will I stay with?" Diancie said.
"Well it's obvious we need to stay with the Aura" Merrick started.
"She'll stay with us" Serena almost shouted.
"Alright" Diancie said. Later that night Serena was in her room with her parents. The room that they were staying in was much like the rest of the castle. It was well furnished and maintained while still having an older castle essence to it.
Serena was staring out the rooms window at the rest of the castle as Diancie came up behind her.
" Serena what are you looking at?" Diancie said.
"Oh I wasn't really looking Diancie I was just thinking" Serena said.
"Thinking about what?".
"Well the thing is the first round of the Grand Festival starts tomorrow and I'm nervous. Ever since I started the battle Chateau I've longed to make it here. Now all I can think about is how hard it's going to be just to make it past round one. Even if I do it's only going to get worse as I get father on" Serena said.
"Well think of it this way Serena, you wouldn't have made it this far if you hadn't shown you were good enough to get to duchess. Everyone else here is at the same level as you which means that you can't be that in over your head" Diancie said.
"Thanks Dianicie that makes me feel a little better" Serena said.
"Having trouble sleeping honey" Serena heard behind her. She turned to see her mother standing there.
"Oh hey mom, I've just got a lot on my mind about the first round tomorrow " Serena said.
"I remember when I first competed in the Kalos National Ryhorn races. I was so nervous that I had to call my mother to read me a story over the phone so I could sleep" Grace said.
"I want to get this anxiety out of my mind. But I keep thinking about everything that cold go wrong and how I could lose" Serena said.
"Well Serena even if you don't win the Grand Festival just by making it here you've made it to the Grand Festival. I'm sure there were many people who didn't" Grace said.
"I suppose that's true" Serena said.
"You know the first time I competed in the Kalos National Ryhorn races lost in the 3rd round. But even the day I lost was one of the happiest day of my life" Grace said.
"Why?" Serena said.
"Well your father and I had been dating for a long time and he had just graduated front he academy and was commissioned as a 2nd Lieutenant. After I lost the race in round 3 I was in tears until your father came to comfort me and asked me a very big question" Grace said.
"He proposed?" Serena said.
"Let's just say I wasn't quite as sad after the question and I said yes to it" Grace said.
"So just remember that no matter how this ends you've earned your place here" Grace said.
"Thanks mom" Serena said as she hugged her mom.
"Alright try and get some sleep" Grace said. Grace walked back over to another section of the room and got into bed next to Alex.
"So how's she doing?" Alex said.
"A little nervous but I told her a story that might calm her down" Grace said.
"You mean the one where I proposed to you" Alex said.
"Yes, you just best hope she doesn't loose or maybe her boyfriend will pop the question to her" Grace said.
Alex smiled for a second before his face turned more serious and he turned to her.
"Did she say that, does she think he's actually going to ask her. She's 15 how could he!".
"Calm down overbearing father I was just joking. Besides I like Ash, and apparently she's in love with him" Grace said.
"Love, did she actually say that. Those exact words!" Alex said.
"Well actually, yes" Grace said.
"Oh god" Alex said putting his hands on his temples.
"Calm down, you know she's know him since she was a little girl and has thought about him since he left summer 've been together for over a year and I think it's beautiful" Grace said.
"But she's my little girl" Alex said.
"And she still is, just because she's found her love doesn't mean that she's any less your daughter. Alex we raised her well, you have to trust her" Grace said.
""Sigh" Maybe you're right" Alex said.
"Good now get some sleep " Grace said before giving him a short kiss on the cheek. After Diancie made herself a bed of Diamonds and the 3 Carbink came around her, Serena laid down in her bed and starred up at the ceiling.
It wasn't just the first round tomorrow that made it hard for Serena to sleep , it was the fact that she didn't have Ash's warm body next to hers. After months of sharing a bed with him it was hard to sleep alone.
That was when she heard a knock on the window. She slowly went over tot he window and opened it to see Ash standing outside.
"Ash!" She said before covering her mouth.
"Hey Serena" Ash said.
"What are you doing here?" Serena said.
"I wanted to wish you good luck and before tomorrow" Ash said.
"Well thanks, I'm still a bit nervous but my mom has calmed me down a little" Serena said.
"Well I won't stay too long, you should get some sleep. But before I go" Ash said before he put his arm around her head and kissed her. Serena's face turned read before Ash withdrew.
"I'll see you tomorrow" Ash said before climbing down. Serena got back into bed and was eventually able to fall asleep. Twenty minutes later Ash climbed back into his own room and saw Pikachu was already asleep.
Ash quietly got into bed trying not to wake Pikachu. He closed his eyes and was about to fall asleep when he felt the same sensation he had felt earlier that day. He saw an aura guardian wearing black robes was on top of a crystal like tower standing in front of a very large and familiar looking man wearing knights armor only red.
The Aura guardian leapt into the knight and knocked him onto his back at went over him with his right hidden blade held out.
"It is over your majesty, your rein of terror ends now king Aorazok!" The guardian shouted. Ash's eyes shot open as he slowly got up.
"Was that a dream? No it couldn't be, it happened earlier" Ash said to himself. He realized that the guardian he just saw was the same one he saw at the castle knocking the painting down. He never saw the guardian's face but he heard his voice. He didn't have a Kalos accent like Serena, Clemont, or Korrina. But his voice was more Kanto like his , Reds, and especially his fathers.

Well I'm sorry I didn't include Clemont, Shauna, Lysandre, or Malva in this chapter but don't worry they will all be in the next chapter.
Some of you have asked about Red and Korrina in the sequel. They will be in Kanto with Red competing in the pokemon league like Ash, however they will be traveling on their own. They may meet up with Ash and Serena occasionally, but the focus will be on Ash and Serena.
Also Misty may not be traveling with the group but that doesn't mean there won't be another girl in the group. Like I said before Brock might have some LUCK and get SHIPPED. However , as I said last chapter if I get enough requests I'll put the poll back up to include include Misty or not. But if I don't get any by next chapter's posting then Misty will just be a gym leader and nothing else.
Also like I said before no one will catch any more pokemon in this story, sorry to disappoint you but it's what I have planned.
Now I'm not sure exactly how many more chapters the movie will encompass but at least a few more
Now apparently you guys NEED to know more about Charizard's new love interest. I really don't want to spoil it but you guys are really determined. So I am forced to give you too big of a hint.
Charizard's new love interest will be much younger than him but will mature as the story goes on. Serena won't actually catch her like she caught Furfrou or Corsola, but she will be given to her by a certain professor from Kanto early in the story kind of like she was given Fennekin by another certain professor. If you guys really can't figure it out with that let me know and next chapter I'll let you know.
