Ch 68: Darkness cometh
Ash and Red stood on top of the ultimate weapon with their loved ones on the other side in front of Lysandre.
"You know I wanted you both to be here. You, your father, all of you the direct descendants of Vaeron the great. Fitting that you should stand where he stood. Fitting that I should assume my birthright as well." Lysandre said.
"Birthright?" Ash said in confusion.
"That's right, the dark King Aorzorka's brother is my ancestor. He went into hiding after his brother was dethroned. So now our bloodlines meet again. However, this meeting wouldn't be complete without him." Lysandre said as he revealed AZ in chains beside him.
"AZ?" Ash said.
"Yeah he captured him too." Red said.
AZ looked up and saw the two brothers.
"Look at them AZ, standing atop this tower. Bring back any memories." Lysandre said.
"What are you talking about?" Ash asked.
"You mean he never told you. Ha! This should be good. Did you ever wonder how AZ knew so much, why I was so interested in getting him. How he knew Vaeron. I assume you remember the story. The dark king was cursed to live forever, well the curse was never lifted. Which means." Lysandre said smiling.
Ash and Red's eyes widened as they realized what was going on.
"It's you! You're the dark king Aorzorka!" Red shouted. A look of pain and shame came across AZ's face upon hearing that name said twice now.
"That's right, he is the dark king. The one who destroyed so much 3000 years ago, the one your ancestor stopped. For years I went searching for him, when I finally found him I offered him a chance for revenge. For us to raise the ultimate weapon and destroy the bloodline of Vaeron. However, he refused. The years had changed him, all he cared about was protecting and preserving pokemon. Ironically it's all I care about." Lysandre said.
"Then why are you doing this?" Red asked.
"Because, the world is a dangerous place. People like Team rocket spreading suffering and pain. You guardians try to stop them, but you'll never stop the natural chaos the world has. For the longest time I thought the world could never know true peace. Until I learned about the ultimate weapon. I realized it was my destiny to wield it. To take my place as ruler of the world. I could lead all life into an era of peace and harmony, all I had to do was take control, and I have." Lysandre said.
"You're no better than the dark king!" Ash shouted.
"How dare you compare me to Aorzorka! He destroyed life simply out of desire and vengeance. I am preventing death and suffering across the planet. However, I can't have the likes of you trying to stop me. That is why I'm going to do what this man should have done three thousand years ago." Lysandre said smiling.
He raised both tears of Reduka up as the heart Diamond. Ash and Red could feel dark energy growing in power.
"What's happening?" Ash said. Red looked up and saw a dark cloud forming over the tower.
"He's using the weapon!" Red shouted.
"What!?" Ash shouted. Serena , Korrina, Delia, and the others slowly raised their heads as they saw a cloud of red energy form over them.
"NO! Lysandre please! Don't do this!" Aorzorka shouted.
"The bloodline of Vaeron ends here, today. All of you will perish before the weapon. But We will remain." Lysandre said holding the tears in front of him and his men.
"You will remain as well Aorzorka. I want you to watch." Lysandre said.
Ash and Red wanted to run, but they were paralyzed with fear as the energy shot up before coming right back down towards the top of the tower.
Ash looked over to Serena and saw a tear come out of her eye. A tear came out of his too as the power of the weapon bared down at them.
Red did the same with Korrina as Bonnie and Clemont came together and Delia looked at her sons. Moments later Delphox and Pikachu's eyes stopped glowing blue as their minds returned to their control.
"Pika?" Pikachu said before he and Delphox saw the weapons blast coming at them.
"And so , it ends." Lysandre said.
"No!" Aorzorka shouted. Using every bit of energy he had left he broke out of his chains and hurled the two Paladins away from him. Lysandre turned just in time to see the massive man's fist smash into his face.
Aorzorka snatched the blue tear of Reduka out of Lysandre's hand and hurled it towards Ash and Red.
"Catch it!" he shouted.
"No!" Lysandre shouted. Ash and Red dove forward both catching it in one of their hands. Not a moment later the weapon's blast hit the top of the tower. Ash and Red felt great power moving all around them, as a blinding light filled their eyes.
When their vision returned they saw perhaps the most painful thing they could possibly imagine. In front of them was Serena, Korrina, Delia, Felix, Clemont, Bonnie, Delphox, and Pikachu, all turned to stone.
Both young men felt like they had been stabbed with hidden blades. They wanted to scream but nothing would come out of their mouths. Tears streamed out of the twins' eyes as they fell back to the ground.
"NO!" Aorzorka said before he was grabbed by all 4 Paladins.
Lysandre got up and scowled at Aorzorka.
"I was going to let you live. Now, you will pay!" Lysandre said before drawing his sword and plunging it into Aorzorka's chest. The massive man grunted once before the Paladin's allowed him to drop the ground.
Aorzorka held his hands on his chest as he looked up at Lysandre.
"The boys still live. They can still stop you." Aorzorka said.
"They won't live for long. Besides I have the ultimate weapon, with it no one can stop me." Lysandre said.
"How about me!" Another voice shouted. Lysandre,his paladins, Aorzorka, and the Ketchum brothers looked up to see a massive Mega Charizard X fly up and above them. The Charizard X was bigger than any either boy had ever seen and his aura seemed very familiar.
Riding on the Charizard X's back was the aura guardian that had gone with team rocket to delay the Flare reinforcements. Only this time his hood was done and the cloth on his mouth was not on, revealing that the aura guardian was none other than Daniel Rian.
"You!?" Lysandre said in confusion.
"Yes me. Charizard Blast Burn!" . Charizard X opened his mouth as his tail flame turned massive and he unleashed a maelstrom of blue fire.
"Look out!" One of the Paladin's shouted as they all dove to the ground. The Blast Burn flew over their heads and hit the layer of gold over Diancie, Xerneas, and Yvetal.
Lysandre turned around to see Diancie and the other Legendaries free.
"What? No!".
Daniel took out a tear of Reduka and held it in front of him. Diancie's eyes stopped glowing blue as she looked up and saw Daniel.
"Princess, we're here to save you. I need you to jump off the tower now." Daniel said through an aura message. Diancie looked over the edge and saw how high up she was.
"But we're so high up." She said back.
"Please just trust me." Daniel said. Diancie closed her eyes and leapt off the tower just as Lysandre tried to grab her. Charizard X flew like lightning beneath her as Daniel extended his arms and caught her.
"Gotcha!" He said.
"NO! I the weapon is useless with out her! Xerneas! Yvetal! Get me Diancie!" Lysandre shouted as he used the other tear of Reduka he had embedded in his chest plate.
The massive deer and Eagle pokemon got up with their eyes glowing blue and flew after Mega Charizard X. Lysandre also let out his 2 Pyroars and his Malamar.
"I will get Diancie back!" Lysandre shouted. Ash and Red remained on the ground with tears streaming from their eyes. That was when the tear of Reduka in their hands started to glow. The two raised their eyes at the tear as they felt a very familiar energy coming from it.
Suddenly they were in a white plain alone, just themselves around them.
"What's going on? Where are we?" Red asked.
"Is this a vision?" Ash asked.
"It can't be, we're both here." Red said. Moments later Ash and Red saw an aura guardian approaching them.
"Who is that?" Ash asked. The man was wearing black armored robes and had a very, very familiar aura to him. When he got close enough they could see the man looked a lot like Felix.
"Wait a minute is that?" Ash said before he and Red realized the man in front of them was Vaeron.
"Vaeron!" They said in disbelief.
"Hello, Ash, Red." Vaeron said.
"How!? How is this possible?" Red said.
"Time means nothing to Reduka. His tears allow me to speak with you, even though we live thousands of years apart my descendants. I have contacted you because Reduka has told me what will happen and what has happened to you." Vaeron said.
"Vaeron, I don't know how we're going to go on. We've lost our parents, some of our closest friends, my partner pokemon, and the loves of our lives. What do we have left to fight for." Ash said.
Vaeron knelt down next to them.
"Listen to me, both of you. When I was your age my father dreamed of my brothers and I being great aura guardians , as did my mother. My two brothers loved the life of an aura guardian, but I did not. I was intemperate in my youth. I did whatever I pleased, lived carelessly. Much to my families pain, as soon as I finished my training, I ran off with my partner pokemon and stole a tear of Reduka." Vaeron said.
"You what?" Red said.
"I was in Lumoise city looking to sell the tear for money to support myself and Charizard. That was when I met the king, he offered me a fortune for the tear and I gave it to him." Vaeron said with a look of pain on his face.
"You mean you were the one who gave him the tear!" Ash and Red shouted.
"Yes, and two years later he used it to complete his ultimate weapon. The first thing he unleashed the weapon on was the brotherhoods enclave. This was before the guilds were set up. I rushed there with Charizard, but everyone was gone. I found my mother, father, and brothers all turned to stone with their pokemon." Vaeron said with a tear coming out of his eye.
"Knowing it was my fault drove me into a deep depression. I exiled myself and considered ending my own life many times. Only Charizard kept me from doing so. That was until he was fed up with me doing nothing. He left to try and stop Aorzorka himself. It was then I realized I was truly alone, I was at my lowest. But only after that did I realize that what had happened, happened. I could do nothing with who I was. When I found out Charizard was captured and due to be executed, I knew what I had to do."
Vaeron put his hands on the sides of the two boy's faces.
"I know how it feels to lose those who are closest to you. But you must always remember. Never give up, Never give up until the end." Vaeron said.
The white plain began to fade as Ash and Red opened their eyes and saw Lysandre and his men in front of them.
The two slowly got up with more determined looks on their faces than they had ever had before. Lysandre turned and saw this.
"Kill them!" He shouted. The 4 Paladins rushed at Ash and Red with their swords raised high.
As soon as the first one reached Ash, the young aura guardian kicked the man in his leg knocking him back before he slashed his hidden blade through the man's neck armor and into his throat.
He then slammed his shoulders into the next Paladin making him stumble before he Leap into him and plunged his hidden blade into the man's chest.
Red unleashed a blast of aura that knocked the other two Paladins off balance before he leapt into both of them and used both his hidden blades to assassinate them. Ash and Red then turned back to Lysandre who drew his sword.
"Malamar, Pyraor." he said as his pokemon turned to the young aura guardians. Ash and Red both sent out their Charizards and Mega evolved them. After being Mega evolved, both Charizards saw what had happened.
"Grauu!" They roared in disbelief.
"Charizard we know you can defeat those pokemon without us." Red said.
"Let's do this." Ash said. The two Mega Charizards nodded as they flew at the Malamar and Pyraors.
Ash and Red both ran at Lysandre as fast as they could with their hidden blades out. Lysandre slammed his sword into he ground as a burst of energy from his tear of Reduka hurled the boys back and onto the ground.
"I don't think so boys. Unlike Aorzorka I know the true power of the tears of Reduka." Lysandre said as he started to glow.
Ash and Red looked up in disbelief as they saw Lysandre make 4 copies of himself that each drew a sword.
Ash and Red used their aura vision and saw who the rear Lysandre was.
"I'll take Lysandre, you take the clones." Ash said. Red nodded before he sprinted into one of the copies, knocking it to the ground as he plunged his right hidden blade into the copies throat.
After doing so the copy vanished. Meanwhile Ash ran at Lysandre and hurled his right hidden blade at the dark king.
Lysandre blocked the strike with his shield , but part of the shield was cut off by the hidden blade. Lysandre thrusted his sword towards Ash only to have it be knocked away by Ash's other hidden blade.
Ash then smashed his foot into Lysandre's calf making the dark king lurch back. Ash the quickly came forward trying to plunge his hidden blades into Lysandre's throat. The dark king brought his sword arm up , but was only able to slowly redirect Ash's right hidden blade into his shoulder armor, tearing part of it off.
After doing so Ash slammed his elbow into Lysandre's face, making him stumble backwards again. Before Ash could take advantage of this, Lysandre unleashed another burst of energy from his tear of Reduka , hurling Ash back onto the ground.
Meanwhile Red forced one of the copies back with a burst of aura and then blocked the other two copies swords with his hidden blades. As the third copy came at Red from behind, Red forced himself forward pushing the other copies back.
Red then quickly kicked the other copies leg making him lurch back before he leapt into him, knocking the copy to the ground before being stabbed by Red's right hidden blade and vanishing.
Meanwhile Ash rolled to the side as Lysandre swung his Sword at him only hitting the ground. Ash got up and blasted Lysandre with a burst of aura, only to have the dark king shield himself with his tear of Reduka.
He then ran at Ash and tried to smash him with his shield. Ash ducked down avoiding the shield before smashing his foot into Lysandre's chest. As the king lurched back Ash came forward and locked his left arm under Lysandre's sword arm and then tried to hurl his other hidden blade into the man's neck.
Lysandre quickly brought his shield arm up , which stopped Ash's attack, but his hidden blade cut through Lysandre's shield and arm armor, tearing it part of the armor and the shield off Lysandre's arm.
Before Ash could strike again Lysandre hurled him back with another burst from the tear of Reduka.
Meanwhile Red dove forward in-between the two copies as they swung their swords where Red had been.
Red came from behind and plunged his left hidden blade into the right copies back making him vanish.
Ash quickly got up as Lysandre charged at him with his shoulders lowered at Ash. Ash waited until Lysandre got close then grabbed his shoulders and dove completely over Lysandre's body.
Once he was on the other side he smashed his foot into Lysandre's calf making him lurch back again. Ash leapt at Lysandre and tried to assassinate him. However, Lysandre brought his arms and sword up blocking him only enough to redirect Ash's hidden blade into his other shoulder armor, tearing it off like his other one.
Lysandre quickly hurled Ash back with another burst from the tear of Reduka.
Meanwhile Red blocked the sword of the last copy before unleashing a burst of aura, hurling him back. Red rushed forward and stabbed both hidden blades into the copies chest causing the copy to vanish.
Ash got up as Lysandre rushed at him with his sword glowing Red. Ash then realized he still had the tear of Reduka Aorzorka threw him. Lysandre tried to hurl Ash to the ground again with a burst from his tear, however, Ash blocked the blast with his own tear and got up.
Ash's hidden blades began to glow blue as he blocked Lysandre's sword then unleashed a relentless attack. Lysandre was barley able to keep the hidden blades from killing him. His armor was slowly torn to pieces by Ash's attack until Ash deliver a powerful kick to Lysandre's leg making him lurch backwards.
Ash then blasted him with a burst of aura that made Lysandre stumble. Seeing an opportunity, Ash charged forward and leapt into Lysandre, knocking him onto his back as Ash came down with his right hidden blade.
Ash stopped the hidden blade a fraction of an inch from Lysandre's throat before staring deep into the dark king's eyes and aura.
"Well, are you going to do it? Are you going to kill me?" Lysandre said in a mocking tone.
Ash could think of nothing he wanted more than to plunge his hidden blade into Lysandre's throat and end his miserable life. He wanted it so badly, but it was then he remembered something else he wanted more.
Ash sighed and shook his head before opening his eyes and looking back at Lysandre.
"What good will one more death bring." Ash said as he retracted his hidden blades, coated his fist in aura , then punched Lysandre in the face breaking his nose.
Meanwhile Charizard X and Y knocked out Malmar and the Pyroars at the same time Xerneas and Yvetal slammed into the top of the tower.
Red slowly walked over to Ash and saw what he had done.
"You didn't kill him?" Red said.
"No good would have come out of it." Ash said. That is when they remembered Aorzorka.
"Aorzorka!" They shouted as they ran over to him and knelt down.
"This isn't good." Red said looking at Aorzorka's wound.
"We'll need to act quickly to save him." Ash said.
"No, please. I want this, I've wanted this for a long time." Aorzorka said.
"Aorzorka, we can't just let you die." Ash said.
"No, for 3000 years I've roamed this world. Unable to move on into the afterlife, unable to be with my beloved pokemon again." Aorzorka looked up at Ash.
"You're so much like him Ash."
"Who?".
"Vaeron." Aorzorka said before tears came out of his eyes.
"Even after all this time, my sins have come back to haunt me. Now I have taken from you, what I took from Vaeron." Aorzorka said.
Ash and Red looked back over to their loved ones turned to stone. Ash and Red felt tears fill their eyes again. Ash and Red slowly walked over to their mother.
"Mom." Red said. They then saw Felix in stone and walked over to him.
"Dad." Ash said.
Charizard X and Y could feel the pain their trainers were in and felt their own eyes tear up. Ash then saw beside his father Serena turned to stone.
"Serena." He saw as he put his arm around her head and touched his forehead to hers.
The other Mega Charizard landed on the top of the tower ad Daniel and Diancie got off.
"Ash, Red." Daniel said. Neither turned to him. Red got up and walked over to Korrina turned to stone and put his head over hers as his tears fell down onto her face.
Daiance slowly made her way over to Ash and Serena.
"I did this." She said with her eyes tearing up. Daniel sighed as he lowered his head.
"We were too late Charizard. We couldn't save Felix or the others." Daniel said. His charizard also gave a sad sigh. Ash turned and saw Pikachu turned to stone and slowly picked up up as his tears fell onto Pikachu's back.
"Pikachu." He said holding his partner to his face. Moments later Gurkinn, Belloc, and Diana rushed up the stairs and onto the top of the tower.
"We made it here as fast as we could." Gurkinn started before he saw what happened.
"No, we're too late." Belloc said.
Gurkinn saw Red weeping over one of the stones.
"No, it can't be." he said as he slowly walked over to Red. When Red felt Gurkinn near him he slowly raised his head to Gurkinn's face.
"I'm sorry, I'm sorry I couldn't save her." He said as tears continued to fall from his eyes.
Gurkinn felt his legs grow weak. He fell to his knees as his tears came out of his eyes and he placed his hand on his granddaughters cheek.
"My baby. Nathan, Sara I'm so sorry" He said as his tears hid the ground. Belloc and Diana stood beside Daniel giving just as sad expressions. Xerenas and Yvetal's eyes reverted back to their normal colors as they raised their heads and saw what was happening.
Realizing what they had done yet again they also began to tear up. Ash continued to hold Pikachu in his arms, when he felt something strange.
He looked down and saw the tear of Reduka he had beginning to glow.
Daniel felt his own tear start to glow as the tear in Lysandre's armor also began to glow.
"What's happening?" Diana asked. All of the aura guardians felt a presences approaching them more powerful than any they had ever felt before. Even the 3 legendary pokemon were in awe.
3 pillars of light began to form a massive triangle around the tower in the sky above them. One pillar was green, one was red, and one blue. The sky began to grow windy as lightning and thunder could be seen and heard.
A massive beam of light hit the top of the tower as the aura guardians and pokemon looked on in awe.
Lysandre opened his eyes saw a massive pokemon above him. He had blue, red, and gold skin, with massive wings shaped similar to Zekoroms. The pokemon had jaws like a Tyrantrum and massive claws over 6 feet long.
The pokemon turned his white and blue eyes to Ash as he moved his head directly in front of him.
It was then Ash and Red realized this was the same pokemon they saw in their vision.
"Reduka? The creator of life?" Ash said in disbelief.
All of the guardians and pokemon fell to their knees as Ash stared into Reduka's eyes.
"You and your brother have done well Ash. Just as Vaeron had done, you have stopped the bloodshed and saved countless lives from destruction. You are so much like him." Reduka said.
"Thank you Reduka, but I still don't know how I'm going to go on. I've lost so much." Ash said as tears continued to fall from his eyes. Reduka could feel the pain and sorrow in Ash and sighed.
"Since the beginning of time, I have watched as my children lived on this earth. I have watched them grow, and perish. All the time I've convinced myself that interfering with you would cause no good, that I should leave you to your own affairs. I thought that my children the legendaries could protect you when needed, but it wasn't enough. You have sacrificed to much. I still believe that interfering with life on earth is not the right path. But perhaps, just this once." Reduka said before he took a deep breath.
He opened his mouth again as a small yellow spinning butterfly shaped light flew from his mouth towards Pikachu. Ash watched as the light slowly touched Pikachu's stomach and enter the stone.
Ash looked down as the stone began to fade into skin. Ash's eyes widened as he felt Pikachu's aura and consciousness again. Pikachu slowly opened his eyes and saw his trainer's face in front of him.
"Pika chu". Pikachu said softly.
"Pikachu!" Ash shouted as his tears of pain turned to tears of joy. He hugged Pikachu so tight that Pikachu almost couldn't breath.
Reduka took another deep breath and opened his mouth as several more of the lights flew out and towards the other stones. Each one made contact and slowly returned them back to life.
Ash felt Serena's aura return and turned around to see her alive again.
"Serena!" He shouted.
"Pika!". Serena opened her eyes and saw Ash in front of her.
"Ash!" She said. Before she could say anything else, Ash grabbed her and kissed her like he had never kissed her before.
Red and Gurkinn saw Korrina return to life and her eyes open.
"Red, Grandpa." She said.
"Korrina!" They both shouted. Gurkinn wrapped his arms around her and kissed her cheek. As soon as he moved his head away Red came in and kissed her on the lips.
Clemont and Bonnie opened their eyes and saw everyone around them.
"We're alive, we're alive!" Clemont shouted.
"We're alight!" Bonnie shouted as she hugged her brother. When Ash and Serena got up , Serena saw Delphox get up.
"Delphox!" Serena shouted as she ran over and hugged her. Delia and Felix opened their eyes and saw they were alive.
"Delia." Felix said as he rushed over and helped her up.
"Felix, what happened?" She asked.
"It doesn't matter, we're safe." Felix said. Ash and Red rushed over to their parents and hugged them.
Reduka took another deep breath and opened his mouth as thousands of the light butterflies flew out. Several thousand flew across Kalos while the rest flew down directly below the tower towards the Battalion of Kalos soldiers turned to stone.
One flew into Alex as he slowly returned to life and fell to the ground.
"Ohh." Alex said as he got up. He saw the rest of his soldiers return to life as he helped one of his officers up.
"Captain are you alright?" Alex asked.
"I think so, what happened?" The captain said.
"I don't know." Alex said. That was when Alex saw thousands of Flare grunts around the tower. He also realized that his battalion had them surrounded.
"Uh sir." The captain said.
"I know captain.". The grunts slowly turned around to see thousands of Kalos soldiers and army pokemon surrounding them with their guns raised and attacks ready.
"As I was saying, you have one second to comply." Alex said. The flare grunts all dropped their weapons and raised their hands above their heads.
"Ash, Red you did it." Felix said.
"Yes they did." Reduka said. Felix and the others who had been stone looked up and saw Reduka above them.
"Reduka!" Felix screamed before he went to one knee.
"The creator of life!". Korrina shouted as she also got to one knee.
"That's Reduka!" Serena said in disbelief.
"Xerneas, Yvetal I know you were forced into this. I don't blame you or Diancie." Reduka said as the 3 legendary pokemon gave looks of happiness seeing them alive again.
That was when Ash and Red remembered Aorzorka. They turned to him and saw a look of happiness on his face. Reduka turned to him and stared deep into his eyes.
"3000 years ago we met atop this tower Aorzorka now we meet again." Reduka said.
"Wait a minute that's Aorzorka, the dark king!" Felix shouted.
"You have done well Aorzorka, thousands of years have passed and it seems like you have changed. You have grown to love pokemon again, and sacrificed yourself to atone for your sins. You have earned my forgiveness." Reduka said before a sphere of light formed in his hands.
Aorzorka's eyes widened as he saw a pokemon slowly float down towards him.
"Wait is that?" Ash said as he and the others saw a Floette slowly move down into Aorzorka's hands.
A single tear came down Aorzorka's face.
"Floette." He said.
"Float." She said back. Suddenly Aorzorka and Floette were both lifted up by the same light that brought Floette down. The two slowly disappeared from where Reduka had come from.
"What just happened?" Serena asked.
"I forgave him. I lifted his curse and allowed him to move on to the afterlife and be with his beloved pokemon again." Reduka said.
Reduka then turned to Lysandre as he regained consciousness.
"Ohh." He moaned.
Gurkinn got up and took out his hidden blades as he walked over to Lysandre.
"Don't." Felix said stopping him. Reduka moved his head directly over Lysandre.
"You have brought death and destruction to my children Lysandre." Reduka said in a firm tone.
"Great Reduka, I am not Aorzorka. I meant to preserve the beauty of this world. Not destroy it." Lysandre said.
"Perhaps, but you used the same methods as him. Any who wield this weapon must be punished. But I have a special punishment for you." Reduka said.
The creator pokemon opened his mouth and blasted Lysandre with a beam of light.
"Wait is Lyandre going to live forever now?" Bonnie said. When the beam of light was gone so was Lysandre.
"Farewell my children." Reduka said before he rose back up from where he came and the legendary Deer and Eagle flew off.
"Wait where's Lysandre?" Serena said. Ash and the others looked closer and saw Lysandre's armor was still there, and something else.
"Fennekin." They heard.
"What the?" Korrina said. Daniel walked over and reached down into the armor.
"Well how about." Daniel said as he came up with a Fennekin in his arms.
"A Fennekin?" almost everyone said in confusion.
"Guys , this is Lysandre. Feel his aura." Daniel said. Ash and the other guardians flew the Fennekin's aura and realized it was Lysandre's aura.
"He turned him into a pokemon?" Ash said in confusion.
"Yup, he's done this before. Lysandre has no memory of his old life. He's got the instincts of a Fennekin now." Daniel said.
"Fenn!" Lysandre said smiling.
"I know he turned us to stone and tried to take over the world. But he's king of cute." Serena said.
"I'll keep him, give him to my fiancee as a gift." Daniel said.
"Let's round up any remaining flare members and then burry this dam tower once and for all." Felix said.
"Serena you're alive again!" Diance said as she leapt into Serena's arms.
"Diancie, I'm so glad your safe ." Serena said.
Miles away in the Kalos guardian enclave, Chairon opened his eyes and realized he was alive again. He slowly got up and saw the other guardian get up.
"What happened?".
"Reduka, he must have done this. I don't believe it." Chairon said.
Back at the tower Ash and the others met the guardian at the base of the tower as they saw thousands of flare members being cuffed and arrested by the now revived Kalos army soldiers.
"Wow I guess Reduka revived these soldiers too." Ash said.
Felix and Red watched as the flare officers were loaded into an army truck.
"What about the Steel mercenaries?" Red asked.
"No one found them, they got away." Felix said.
"Wait a minute , if he revived these soldiers. Then that means." Serena started before she sprinted forward and into the battalion.
"Serena wait!" Ash shouted. Serena desperately looked around until she found a few officers by a mobile communication center.
"Yes sir we've detained them but still no sign of their leader. We're continuing out search and." Alex started before he heard an all to familiar voice.
"Dad!". Serena screamed. Alex turned just in time to see his daughter almost jump into him as she hugged him as hard as she could.
"Serena what are you doing here? Oh forget it." Alex said as he hugged her back. Ash and Pikachu saw Serena hugging her father and a tear came from Ash's eye. He and Red had stopped Lysandre and everyone they loved had been saved. He couldn't be happier than he was.
Back in the sky Reduka was looking down at Ash and the others. He took another deep breath before returning to where he came. Back on the ground Ash and Red felt something strange, it felt like Reduka's presence.
They both looked and saw something had appeared in their hands, they were some kind of golden scales.
"Thank you, for everything" They heard as they held the scales. Both boys look up at the sky.
"No , thank you Reduka." Ash and Red both said.
Author's note: Well it wasn't easy , but I got the chapter done.
Truthfully I've been wanting to do this chapter for ages and now I finally have it done.
Yeah I planned on having those turned to stone come back all along.
Sorry it wasn't Xerneas but having Reduka do it was my plan from the start.
So starting next chapter we will get into the Kalos League arc so I hope you're excited.
Also if any of you have ideas for trainers Ash or Red could face I am willing to listen as I only have a few decided so far.
