Ch 70: Round one.
It was 8:00 in the morning in Kalos and the sunlight had began to rise over the side of the hills . Sunlight shined through the window of condo 3c and onto Serena. Serena slowly opened her eyes to see Ash and Pikachu were gone.
"Huh." She said.
Outside the condo Ash was sitting on top of the condo with Pikachu on his shoulder.
"I guess todays the day. We finally get to battle in the pokemon league." Ash said.
"Pika." Pikachu said. He could tell from his connection to Ash that he was feeling a little anxiety.
Though he could understand why, in truth Pikachu was also feeling a little nervous too. He and Ash , and well all of Ash's pokemon had been training for so long to do.
"Everything we've been training for starts today. I know it won't be easy, but we can do this." .
"Pika!". A few moments later he heard someone come up behind him.
"Morning Ash."
"Morning Serena." Ash said as she sat next to him.
"Excited for your first match?" She asked.
"Yeah I'm really excited. This is what I've been waiting for since we started. Still though I'm a bit nervous." Ash said.
"Oh come on, you faced stuff far worse when you faced Lysandre and his team Flare." Serena said.
"Pika." PIkachu said with Ash understanding him through their aura message say something along the lines of.
"She's got a point.".
"I suppose you're right Serena. But this has been my dream for a long time. I just want to prove that my pokemon and I have what it takes to be a pokemon master." Ash said.
Serena took Ash's hand.
"Ash it's just like you told me right before I entered the Grand Festival. You've beaten 8 gym leaders, the team rocket officers, the team flare officers, and even the leader of team Flare. I think you've already proven you are a master." Serena said.
Ash smiled.
"You're right Serena." Ash said before he gave her a short kiss. A few minutes later after giving each of his pokemon their proper breakfast he knelt down in front of each of them.
"Alright you guys we've come a long way for this and I know some of you might be nervous, but don't forget what we've accomplished. We've earned out way here and we're going to go all the way to the top."
"Pika!".
"Grouu!".
"Grauu!".
"Grauuhh!".
"Hawl!".
"Yena!". After finishing his pep talk with his pokemon , Ash joined Serena for breakfast.
"So who are you using today?" Serena asked.
"Well I can only choose 3 and I don't know what field on battling on yet. I think I'll wait to see before choosing." Ash said.
"That's not a bad idea." Serena said. Later Ash and Serena met with the others near the registration building.
"Morning Ash, morning Serena." Red said.
"Morning guys, sleep well?" Serena asked.
"Yeah and I'm ready for round one!" Red said sounding excited.
"Me too!" Ash said.
"Well let's head inside and see when are where you guys are battling." Clemont said.
After going inside they saw there were a few trainers in line.
"Looks like we'll have to wait. " Korrina said. They waited a few minutes before reaching the front of the line.
"Welcome to round one young men. Let me see your passes and I'll be able to tell you when you're first round matches." The woman said.
Ash and Red each handed her their pass. The woman put them in a computer and then took them out.
"Red you are competing in match 6 today against a Jake North on the grass field."
"I wonder who that is?" Red asked.
" Ash you will be battling in the first match of the day in the rock stadium."
"I'm battling in the first match of the Kalos league!" Ash said sounding nervous.
"Who is he facing?" Serena asked.
"The trainer asked to remain anonymous when he registered. He said he wanted to make a proper entrance for his first match."
"Is he facing a Gary Oak?" Red asked sweat dropping.
"No." The woman said.
"Well if it's the first match of the day we should head over to the rock stadium." Korrina said.
A few minutes later Ash stood in the entrance tunnel to his end of the battle field with his head looking at the ground.
"This is it, our first match." Ash said before taking a deep breath.
"Let's do this." He said as he raised his head and walked into the stadium.
Serena and the others sat as close to the front as they could as the match came closer to starting.
"I'm so excited to see him battle!" Serena said.
"Guys there you are!" a familiar voice said. The group turned their heads and saw Alexa, Delia, Felix, and professor Sycamore.
"We were wondering where you guys were." Delia said.
"You guys made it." Red said.
"We wouldn't miss it." Felix said.
"Plus Delia and I have to get the story down for the first match of the Kalos league! Who would have thought it would be Ash." Alexa said.
"Ladies and gentlemen, the first match of this year's Kalos league is about to begin. Will the blue trainer please step onto his platform." The announcer said.
Ash walked out onto the field as the group and crowd began an uproar of applause.
"In the blue corner we have trainer Ash Ketchum. "
"Go Ash!" Serena shouted as Ash stepped onto the blue platform before it raised up.
"Will the red trainer please step forward." The announcer said. That was when Ash felt an a somewhat familiar aura. It was hard to make out where it was from.
His eyes widened as he saw the other red platform raise up revealing the trainer standing on it.
"Chu." Pikachu said growling with his cheeks sparking as he and Ash saw a young man with long blue hair, dark brown eyes, with black sunglasses above his eyes, a pink shirt with a sleeveless vest over it.
"Damian." Ash said.
"In the Red corner we have Damian Brown." The announcer said.
"Damian!" Serena , Clemont, Bonnie, and Red all said sounding angry.
"Who is that?" Korrina asked.
"Remember how we told you Ash's Charizard was abandoned and left for dead by his old trainer. Well that's him." Serena said.
"What!?" Delia and the others except Felix said.
"I can tell from this young man's aura he's no good. Ash should have no trouble beating him." Felix said.
"Wells wells wells, what do wes have here. You's is one of those stupid boys who threw a fit cause I wouldn't go get me useless Charmander." Damian said.
"Yes it's me, it looks like you haven't changed at all Damian." Ash said.
"No I's gotten better. But by the looks of things you's haven't. Ha, I'm surprised you's even made it here. I mean you went through a rain storm to save a weak Charmander, for what? Nothin, that stupid Charmander didn't even survive." Damian said.
Ash grit his teeth in anger before he reached for a pokeball.
"I wouldn't be so sure!" Ash screamed as he hurled his pokeball forward. Damian's eyes widened as he saw a massive Charizard come out and roar.
"Yeah Charizard!" Serena shouted.
"Perfect choice for Damian." Red said.
"The blue trainer has chosen a Charizard for his first pokemon." The announcer said as a picture of a charizard appeared on Ash's side of the scoreboard.
"Wait is that?" Damian started.
"Yes Damian, he's the Charmander you abandoned and left to die." Ash said.
Charizard saw Damian standing on the other platform and felt his internal rage boiling like lava. There stood his original trainer Damian. The one who abused him, berated him, and left him to die, standing in front of him. He growled as every urge demanded that he fly right over and burn Damian to a crisp.
"Charizard I know you have a lot of anger towards Damian. I don't blame you, what he did and how he treated you is unforgivable. But we have to focus on the battle and beating him. You can't let your personal anger blind you." Ash said to Charizard via aura message.
"Grauu." Charizard growled. He knew Ash was right, he and the others had worked to hard to get to the pokemon league to let him mess everything up because he wanted revenge.
"I's don't believe it. You's got him to evolve, twice!" Damian said in disbelief.
"Charizard is an amazing pokemon. All he needed was love and real training Damian. Not just power plays." Ash said.
"Ha, doesn't matter if he evolved or not. If that really is me old Charmander then he's as weak now as he was then. This should be real easy. Go Heliolisk!" Damian shouted.
The electric lizard pokemon came out and danced around a bit before opening his frill.
"That's not good, a Heliolisk puts Ash and Charizard at a disadvantage." Clemont said.
"He can handle it. he's handled worse." Serena said.
"Heliolisk start off with a Thunda bolt." Damian shouted. His Heliolisk opened up his Frill and unleashed a powerful blast of electricity at Charizard.
"Charizard cloak yourself in dragon energy then get close and use flamethrower!" Ash shouted.
"Gar!" Charizard roared as he unleashed a short ranged Dragon pulse and then flew into the energy.
"What is he doing?" Delia asked. Ash Charizard flew close to the electricity, the dragon energy around his body kept the thunderbolt away from him.
"What?" Damian said.
"Flamethrower!" Ash shouted. Charizard blasted him with a thick jet of fire.
"Great job Charizard!" Ash shouted.
What? Eh , nothing Heliolisk use Parabolic Charge!".
"CHarizard close your wings and fall straight to the ground!" Ash shouted. Charizard brought his wings to his body and fell down tot he ground as Heliolisk opened his frill and filled the entire air with electricity.
Charizard , however, had gotten low enough to avoid the electricity.
"Re-angle your wings!" Ash shouted. Charizard quickly re-angled his wings and caught himself just in time before flying right at Heliolisk,
"Thunder!".
Heliolisk blasted Charizard with a powerful burst of electricity.
"Oh no, that's going to do a lot of damage." Korrina said.
"Don't give up Charizard! Fight on!" Serena shouted.
"Ha , I knew This would be easy." Damian said. Moments later Charizard flew out of electricity looking extremely determined.
"What?" Damian said.
"Dragon pulse!" Ash shouted.
"Grauu!" Charizard roared as he blasted Heliolisk with a powerful burst of dragon energy , hurling the electric lizard back.
When Heliolisk hit the ground he was unconscious.
"Heliolisk is unable to battle." The ref said.
"Alright! Great work Charizard." Ash said.
"Pika!".
"He got him!" Serena shouted.
"Grr." Damian said as his Heliolisk's picture darkened.
"Alright, just a bit of dumb luck. Let's see ya deal with this one!" Damian shouted as he sent out a large Graveler.
"A rock type. That's not good, if he lands an attack Charizard could be in real trouble." Red said.
"Not to mention he's already taken a Thunder." Korrina said.
"He can do it. He's beaten stronger pokemon!" Serena shouted.
"Let's take him down Graveler use Stone edge!"
"Charizard Dragon Rage!" Ash shouted. Graveler smashed his fists into the ground before using all 4 hands to hurl dozens of spikes rocks at Charizard.
Charizard opened his mouth and unleashed a powerful violet beam of dragon energy that tore through each of the spiked rocks.
"What now?" Damian said.
"Charizard get in close to him." Ash shouted.
"Graveler use rock throw!"
"Dodge it!" Ash shouted. Charizard flew in close using quick wing movements to avoid each incoming rock.
"Now use Stone Edge!. Graveler unleashed a furious assault of spiked rocks , too close for Charizard to avoid them and was raked across his body with Stone edge.
"Grauu." Charizard grunted.
"Hold on Charizard, Use Seismic toss!" Ash shouted. Despite his pain, Charizard fought on and snatched Graveler in his arms before taking him high into the air, flying in 3 air circles before heading straight to the ground and hurling Graveler in front of him.
"Oh no!" Damian said.
When the dust cleared the crowd saw Charizard standing over an knocked out Graveler.
"Graveler is unable to battle." The ref said as the picture of Graveler also darkened.
"He's done it again!" Bonnie shouted.
"Charizard is just one away from winning!" Serena shouted.
"This is unbelievable folks. Trainer Ash Ketchum's Charizard has now knocked out two of Damian's pokemon and is just one away from victory." The ref said.
"Awesome work Charizard, now you should get some rest. Pikachu can handle it from here." Ash said before Charizard turned around and shook his head.
Ash could feel Charizard's aura. He wanted to finish the fight with Damian. Ash understood and keep Charizard out.
"Grrr, I's won't lose to that stupid Charizard! Go Barbaracle!" Damian shouted.
The massive water rock pokemon came out and held his claws out.
"This isn't good, a water and rock type. There couldn't be a worse combination." Clemont said.
"Charizard has held his own, but now he must be getting tired after taking a Thunder and Stone edge. " Felix said.
"He can stay in this, he's strong." Serena said.
"Barbarically use Ancient power!".
"Charizard dodge and use Dragon Pulse." Charizard quickly flew in quick , evading each of the large rocks.
"Stone edge!" Damian shouted. Barbaracle unleashed a barrage of spiked rocks into Charizards beam of dragon energy. Both attacks met and canceled each other out.
"Now use Razor Shell!" Damian shouted. Barbaracle slashed Charizard across the face as he came to close to him.
"Ha!". Damian shouted as Charizard grunted in pain.
"Hold on Charizard come back around and use Seismic toss."
"Up into Ancient power!" Damian shouted. Charizard quickly turned around and flew at Barbaracle. However, just before he could reach him , Barbaracle leapt up and over Charizard before barraging him with a furry of large rocks.
"Charizard!" Serena shouted.
"Ha! Now he's done." Damian laughed.
"Look again." Ash said smiling.
"Huh?" Damian said as he looked back down. To his horror he saw Charizard with a very determined look on his face. Despite the rocks, he flew back up and snatched Barbaracle in his arms.
"Oh no." Damian said as Charizard made several circles before flying back into the ground and hurled Barbaracle into the ground.
When the dust cleared, Charizard , now looking very tired, stood over an unconscious Barbaracle.
"Gar!" He roared as he unleashed a jet of fire.
"Barbaracle is unable to battle. The winner is the blue trainer Ash." The ref said.
"It's over folks! The blue trainer has won using one pokemon!" The announcer said.
"We won, We won!" Ash shouted.
"Yes! They did it! They won!" Serena shouted.
"He was amazing." Delia said.
"He was." Felix said.
"But, how could I's lose to me old weak Charmander. It ain't right." Damian said. Ash leapt off his platform and ran over to Charizard before giving him big hug.
"Charizard , I'm so proud of you!".
"Grauu!" Charizard roared with a very happy expression on his face. Sitting elsewhere in the crowd was none other than Will Wood.
"Hmp, this Ketchum kid is better than I thought. His Charizard just beat 3 pokemon that all had a type advantage on him and he took 4 super effective attacks. He could be a real challenge to beat. I'll have to watch his other pokemon too if I want a chance of beating him."
Ash went right for the pokemon center and gave Charizard's pokeball to nurse Joy.
"He took a lot of hits nurse Joy." Ash said.
"Don't worry , I'll take good care of your Charizard." Nurse Joy said as she placed Charizard's pokeball on a tray her Wigglytuff was holding.
Ash turned around and sat down at a table before the rest of the group entered the pokemon center.
"Ash there you are." Serena said.
"Oh guys, sorry for leaving so fast. It's just after how many hits Charizard took I wanted to get him here right away." Ash said.
"It's alright I probably would have done the same." Red said.
"Ash that was an exceptional battle. You're Charizard battled like I've never seen before." Clemont said.
"I can't believe he beat all three of his pokemon. This is going to be on the cover of the Kalos press!" Alexa said.
"I'm really proud of you Ash. You're first battle went better than I could have ever imagined." Serena said before she gave Ash a short kiss on the cheek.
A few minutes later the group was having lunch as they waited for Charizard.
"So since you'll be battling on the grass field what pokemon will you be using Red?" Korrina asked.
"Since it's on the grass field I'll defiantly be using Gogoat. I could also use Pangoro and Noivern." Red said.
"Geez look at that, match 4 will be stating any minute. Come on Delia we need to get there and see if we have another show stopper." Alexa said.
"Alright Alexa, Red we'll be back to see your match." Delia said.
"Alright see you later mom." Red said. After finishing their lunch Ash and the others were sitting at another table as they waited for nurse Joy to finish with Charizard.
"So how much longer till your match Red?" Bonnie asked.
"It's another hour and twenty minutes before I need to head over there." Red said.
"Excuse me, Mr. Ketchum your Charizard has completed his treatment." Nurse Joy said. Ash got up and walked over to the counter and picked up the pokeball.
"How's he doing?" Ash asked.
"He's doing great. All he needs now is some rest, he should be able to battle again tomorrow."
"Ok thanks." Ash said. Moments later another two trainers walked up and placed their pokeballs on the counter.
One put two on while the other put three.
"Oh how did your matches go?" Joy asked the two boys.
"We both won." A familiar voice said. Ash turned to see Trent and Jason Pheonix.
"Trent, Jason." Ash said. The two turned to him.
"Ash, good to see you again." Trent said. After nurse Joy took their pokeballs, Trent and Jason followed Ash to the table the others were sitting at.
Trent sat down next to Ash while Jason saw Red sitting to the right of Korrina and Clemont to the left. That was when Jason saw an opening when Clemont's pokeballs fell off his belt and rolled onto the floor.
Clemont got up to retrieve it and Jason almost sprinted over and took his seat.
"Hey I was sitting there." Clemont said.
"Yeah , but you moved." Jason said.
"So you guys won your matches." Ash said.
"Yeah I won mine at the water field." Trent said.
"I managed to win a spectacular victory against my opponent at the Grass field. I was up against a really tough opponent. Apparently he made it to the top 8 of the Kalos league last year." Jason said almost directly to Korrina.
"Ash you're first match was unbelievable. You're Charizard beat all three of Damian's pokemon." Trent said.
Jason glared at his cousin for interrupting him.
"Well Charizard was properly motivated. I knew Damian before this, he was Charizard's original owner." Ash said.
"What? How did you get him?" Trent asked.
"Damian abandoned him as a Charmander and left him to die. That's when we found him and rescued him." Red said.
"By Reduka, that's horrible. I guess it was poetic justice that the pokemon he abandoned was responsible for him being knocked out of the pokemon league. I actually hope I get the chance to face you Ash." Trent said.
"Well as I was saying, he made it to the top 8, that's the quarterfinals. This is my first time at the Kalos league, I'd say that's more than impress" Jason started.
"So Red when's your match. We'd love to come and see it." Trent said.
"His match is in twenty minutes, and I can't wait to see him kick some butt." Korrina said as she leaned herself on him and rested her head on his shoulder.
Jason groaned as he put his hand under his chin.
Twenty minutes later Red stood on his end of the grass field in the red platform.
Ash and the others were in the crowd watching. Jason tried to get the seat next to Korrina, but Serena took one and Felix took the other. He sat next to his cousin and stared at Korrina.
Standing on the blue platform on the other side was Red's opponent Jake North. He looked about 16 years old with white skin, extremely dark brown hair, and green eyes. He wore black jeans and black shoes with a gray shirt that had maroon pockets. He also wore a blue back and black gloves. Red also noticed that there was an Umbreon standing beside Jake. He wondered if he didn't like pokeballs like Pikachu.
"The battle between the blue trainer Jake North and the Red trainer Red Ketchum is about to begin. Trainer's choose your pokemon." The ref said.
"Alright this is everything we've ever been training for. Time to shine, I choose you Gogoat!" Red shouted. His Gogoat came out and held his horns up high.
"And the red trainer has chosen a Gogoat for his first pokemon." The announcer said.
"A Gogoat huh, well alrighty then Go Umbreon!" Jake shouted. His Umbreon leapt off the platform and faced Gogoat.
"Gogoat barrage him with Seed bomb!" Red shouted.
"Umbreon use protect." Umbreon covered himself in a barrier. Gogoat unleashed a barrage of explosive seeds that impacted on and around Umbreon but were kept away from him by the protect.
"Vine Whip!" Red shouted. Gogoat hurled both his vines forward at Umbreon as fast as he could.
"Dodge it Umbreon." The Umbreon leapt up and over the incoming vines before Jake noticed Red and Gogoat smiling .
The vines made a sharp turn and came back before wrapping around Umbreon's stomach.
"Oh no." Jake said.
"Vine whip!". Gogoat hurled Umbreon into the ground.
"Great job Red!" Ash shouted.
"Yeah you got him!" Korrina shouted.
"Yeah, yeah amazing Red." Jason said sarcastically.
"Alright Umbreon use Crunch on the vine!". Umbreon bit down on the vine hard, forcing Gogoat to let him go.
"Shadow ball!.".
"Leaf Blade into Arial ace!" Red shouted. Gogoat used his leaf blade to slice the incoming Shadow ball in half before leaping up with his horns raised.
"Dodge it Umbreaon!" . Umbreon quickly leapt to the side, however, Gogoat's agility allowed him to quickly leap off the ground and back into the air before coming down and slashing Umbreon across the face.
"Geeze this guy's good." Jake said.
"He's doing great!" Delia said.
"Keep it up Red!" Felix shouted.
"We didn't come this far to be stopped in round one. Umbreon use Shadowball everything you have."
Umbreon unleashed 3 shadow balls at Gogoat as the grass Goat got ready.
"Leaf blade into Seed bomb!". Gogoat slashed each of the incoming Shadow balls in half before he launched his first seed.
"Hyperbeam!" Umbreon quickly unleashed a powerful hyper beam that tore through the seed bombs and hit Gogoat , hurling him back.
"Alright we finally got him!" Jake shouted.
"Gogoat Leech seed!" Red shouted. Gogoat turned his head and launched a single seed at Umbreon.
The black fox pokemon wanted to move but he had to recharge from the hyper beam.
"Oh no." Jake said as the seed his Umbreon and sprouted massive roots around Umbreon. Restricting him and draining his energy.
"Gogoat use Double edge!" Red shouted. Gogoat got up and sprinted at the Umbreon as fast as he could.
"Umbreon you have to move!" Jake shouted. Umbreon tried to move , but the roots restricted him and sapped his energy. Gogoat hit Umbreon with both his horns.
"Umbreon!" Jake shouted as his pokemon was hurled back and knocked out.
"Umbreon is unable to battle." The ref said.
"Alright great work Gogoat!" Red shouted.
"Goat!" Gogoat shouted as he raised his horns again.
"Red's taken the lead!" Korrina said.
"Maybe it'll be a washout like Ash's battle." Trent said.
"I doubt it." Jason said.
"Umbreon return. You did your best. Alright play time is over , Go Sylveon!" Jake shouted. The fairy Eevee pokemon came out of her pokeball and took a stance in front of Gogoat.
"The blue trainer has chosen a Sylveon for his second pokemon." The announcer said.
"Sylveon use Attract." Sylveon surrounded herself in a sparkling pinkish light tone and then winked at Gogoat.
Gogoat's eyes turned to hearts as he became completely infatuated with Sylveon.
"Oh no." Red said.
"That's not good, now Gogoat's fallen in love." Clemont said.
"Actually he's just infatuated." Trent said.
"Kind of like Korrina." Jason whispered.
"Sylveon use Moonblast." Sylveon opened her mouth and unleashed a powerful white blast of energy. Red knew that he couldn't get Gogoat to attack Sylveon when he was infatuated with Attract. But perhaps he could get him to defend himself.
"Gogoat use Seed bomb on the Moonblast!" Red shouted. While Gogoat was infatuated with Sylveon, he had no problem with attacking her move. He unleashed several explosive seeds at the Moon blast.
When the two attacks collided they exploded and kept Gogoat safe.
"Swift Sylveon and get closer to Gogoat." Sylveon unleashed a barrage of spiked stars before moving closer to Gogoat.
"Gogoat use Vine whip on the spiked stars." Red shouted. Gogoat raised his vines and whipped away each of the stars away.
"Draining Kiss!". Gogoat turned and saw Sylveon right in front of him.
"Leaf blade!" Red shouted. He hoped that Gogoat would be over the infatuation by then. He was wrong. Gogoat was still just as infatuated. Gogoat couldn't allow himself to strike Sylveon.
The fairy Eevee kissed Gogoat upon his lips and began draining his energy.
"Come on." Red said.
"That's not good." Clemont said.
"Come on Red you've gotten past worse than this!" Korrina shouted.
" Gogoat snap out of it, use Double edge!" Red shouted.
"Sylveon use Yawn." Sylveon let out a loud yawn that formed a pink cloud. The cloud floated over and hit Gogoat's face, making him feel very drowsy.
"Goat." he said as he struggled to stay awake.
"Fight it Gogoat!" Red shouted. Gogoat did his best, but the Yawn was too much and he fell asleep.
"Perfect, Sylveon use Moonblast!". Sylveon opened her mouth and blasted Gogoat with a powerful beam of white energy.
"Come on Gogoat you can still do this!" Korrina shouted.
"We've trained to hard for this Gogoat. You can get up." Red said. Gogoat's eyes shot open before he got up with a very determined look on his face.
"Alright Gogoat, now let's do this."
"Sylveon use Attract."
"Gogoat close your eyes." Red said as he took a deep breath. Gogoat closed his eyes and felt Red's aura guiding him.
"Trust my guidance Gogoat. I'll get you to her." Red said via aura message. The Attract hit Gogoat, but since he had his eyes closed and his mind focused elsewhere.
"Gogoat use Giga Impact! Straight ahead!". Gogoat rushed forward as fast as he could with his horns lowered.
"Sylveon use Swift!". Sylveon unleashed several spiked stars at Gogoat.
"Gogoat use Vine whip right in front of you!" Red shouted. Gogoat's eyes were still closed, but he listened to what Red said and whipped his vines in front of his body, knocking each of the stars away.
" Moonblast! Hit his side!". Sylveonran to the side trying to blast him.
"Gogoat sharp right and use Seed bomb." Gogoat made a sharp turn right and unleashed three bombs that flew forward and exploded. Keeping the moon blast away from him.
"Giga Impact!". Gogoat lowered his head and smashed his horns into Sylveon as hard as he could.
"Sylveon!" Jake shouted.
Sylveon lay on the grass unconscious.
"Sylveon is unable to battle." The ref said.
"Incredible, trainer Red Ketchum and his Gogoat have now knocked out two the blue trainer's pokemon." The announcer said.
"Alright! Just one more Gogoat." Red said.
"Goat!" Gogoat shouted.
"He's just one away from winning!" Korrina said sounding very excited.
"He hasn't won yet." Jason said to himself.
"Sylveon return. Ok last chance, Go Blaziken!". A tall Blaziken leapt out of his pokeball and did a front flip before he landed on the ground in an aggressive stance.
"A Blaziken, alright we can still do this. Gogoat use Seed Bomb!" Red shouted.
"Blaziken dodge and use Flamethrower!". The Blaziken leapt up high as the explosive seeds flew under him. Blaziken then quickly unleashed a powerful jet of fire at Gogoat.
"Dodge it!" Red shouted. His Gogoat quickly leapt over and away from the fire.
"Double kick!" Jake shouted. His Blaziken came down on top of Gogoat and smashed his foot into Gogoat's face , then his other foot.
"Great work." Jake shouted as his Blaziken did a backflip and landed on his feet.
"Dam , that's quite a Blaziken. I'll have to be careful here." Red said.
"Blaziken Fire spin." The Blaziken opened his mouth and unleashed a spinning burst of fire.
"Gogoat Seed bomb around you then dive forward!". Just before the fire could reach him, Gogoat unleashed 3 explosive seeds around him that kept the fire away long enough for him to dive forward and away from the fire.
"Blaze kick!" Jake shouted. The Blaziken ran forward and leapt up with his leg raised.
"Vine whip on his leg!" Red shouted. Gogoat wrapped his vines around the Blaziken's leg, however, it didn't go like Red hoped. The Blaziken did a front flip and dragged Gogoat onto the ground before Blaziken smashed his burning leg right into Gogoat's face.
"Gogoat!" Red shouted. Gogoat hit the ground again hard with his eyes swirly.
"Gogoat is unable to battle." The ref said.
"And trainer Red has lost his first pokemon." The announcer said.
"So much for a 3 to 1 knock out." Jason said smiling.
"Don't let this get you down Red , keep going!" Ash shouted.
"Gogoat return, I'm really proud of you Gogoat. Alright I choose you Pangoro!". Red's Pandora came out and snarled as he took an aggressive stance against Blaziken.
"Pandora use Hammer arm." Pangoro sprinted forward with his arm raised ready to clobber his opponent.
"Blaziken get behind him and use Blaze kick." Just before Pangoro could reach his opponent, Blaziken leapt up and did a front flip over and behind Pangoro.
"Catch his leg!" Red shouted. Just as Blaziken raised his leg , Pangoro quickly turned around and snatched Blaziken's leg in his arm, smiling as he did it.
"Hammer arm!" Red shouted.
"Flamethrower!". Blaziken blasted Pangoro right in the face with a powerful jet of fire, forcing him to back up and let go of Blaziken's leg.
He then leapt up and smashed Pangoro in the face with Blazekick.
"Geez , this is one good Blaziken." Red said.
"I guess Jake isn't beaten just yet." Ash said.
"Come on Red you can beat him!" Korrina shouted.
"Blaziken use dig!". The Blaziken burrowed his way underground and out of Pangoro's sight.
"Pangoro feel the ground for moments." Pangoro slowly moved his feet across the ground and felt moments directly under him. Pangoro lurched back just in time to avoid Blaziken as he burst out of the ground.
"Karate chop!"
"Flamethrower and kick off him!". Just before Pangoro could unleash his attack , he was engulfed in more fire and forced back as Blaziken kicked off him and did a backflip landing on his feet.
"Finnish him with Flare Blitz!". Blaziken covered himself in fire and soared forward at Pangoro before he could even recover from the fire and smashed into his head unleashing the full force Flare Blitz.
"Pangoro!" Red shouted. The massive bear hit the ground with swirly eyes.
"Pangoro is unable to battle." The ref said.
"Incredible folks, the blue trainer Jake North has completely turned it around. All he needs to do is knock out trainer Red Ketchum's last pokemon and he'll win.".
"Come on Red you can do it!" Ash shouted.
"Give it everything you've got!" Korrina shouted.
"Come on, just beat his last pokemon." Jason said quietly ,but sounding very excited.
"Pangoro return, rest up. Alright I didn't come all this way to lose in round one." Red raised his head and hurled a pokeball forward.
"I choose you Noivern!". Red's massive black and violet dragon came out and roared as he faced Blaziken.
"And the red trainer has chosen a Noivern for his final pokemon."
"Noivern, well that would give Red the type advantage." Ash said.
"Blaziken use Brave bird!" Jake shouted. His Blaziken rushed forward and hurled himself into the air glowing blue Noivern.
"Noivern use Gust!" . Noivern unleashed a powerful wind that hit Blaziken and forced him back towards the ground.
"Air Slash!" . Noivern quickly flew at Blaziken as he fell towards the ground.
"Stop him with Flamethrower!" Jake shouted.
"Agility!". Blaziken opened his mouth and unleashed a jet of fire towards Noivern. The might Dragon , however, used his agility to move out of the way and continued on to slash Blaziken across his chest.
"Shoot, he got him." Jake said. Blaziken did another backflip before landing on his feet.
" That didn't work, So we need to force him to come to us. Blaziken use a speedy Flamethrower!". Blaziken sprinted across the ground before he unleashed a massive jet of fire.
" Agility into Dragon claw." Red said. Noivern moved towards the ground using his agility to avoid the flamethrower. Once he reached the ground he continued avoiding the fire.
"Brave Bird!". Blaziken leapt up and soared at Noivern glowing blue.
"Catch him!" Red shouted. Noivern raised his talons on his feet and caught Blaziken in them.
"Free yourself with Flamethrower!".
"Dragon Pulse!" Red shouted. Just as Blaziken opened his mouth and let out a jet of fire, Noivern opened his own mouth and unleashed a powerful typhoon of dragon energy that tore through the fire and hurled Blaziken back.
"No." Jake said.
"Alright! It looks like Red's turned it around again." Ash said.
"Keep it up Noivern!" Korrina shouted.
"Come on Blaziken." Jason whispered.
"We've trained to hard to be beaten now. Blaziken Into the air then Brave bird!". Blaziken leapt back onto his feet and jumped up high as he turned blue before coming down at Noivern.
"Noivern use Hurricane." Noivern used his massive wings to unleashed a massive hurricane around him that swept up Blaziken.
"Oh no." Jake said.
"Air slash!" Red shouted. Noivern roared as he flew forward and slashed Blaziken across his chest.
Blaziken hit the ground hard with swirly eyes.
"Blaziken is unable to battle. The winner is trainer Red Ketchum."
"We won, We won!" Red shouted as he ran out onto the field and hugged Noivern.
Noivern gave a triumphant roar as the crowd began to applaud.
"Yes he did it!" Korrina shouted.
"Alright! Way to go Red!" Ash shouted.
"Great." Jason said putting his had on his hand.
"Amazing folks, trainer Red Ketchum turned it around and won the match!" The announcer said.
"Blaziken return. You have everything you had out there I couldn't ask any more of you." Jake said.
Red and Ash had now both one their first matches and would be moving on to the next round. Ready to face the challenges that awaited them.

Round one is over, as with the Battle chateau I probably won't cover every battle they go through and even the ones I do I may not show all 3 on 3.
Like I said before if you don't see your character doesn't mean I won't use them. Right now I want to let you guys know that I don't want to have to make up any characters for the Kalos league.
I want to use trainers entirely from you guys, so keep sending me suggestions.
