Previously: "This is so wonderful!" Esme exclaimed. "Bella, do you know when you'd like to have the wedding?" I went to respond but Alice did so for me,

"No more than a month after graduation."

"Why a month?" Jasper asked. Once again, Alice answered for me,

"She doesn't want to wait much longer than that to be changed."

"Wait, what?" Mom shrieked, finally letting her anger loose.

And Now:

"Mom, come on, you knew this was gonna happen sooner or later," I reasoned but her eyes were narrow and she looked far from reasonable.

"And why does it have to be sooner?"

I sighed. "I don't want to put it off."

"And why not? You're so extremely young. What does a few years difference really make?" Maybe a few years of college or something." Mom had turned from anger a sort of desperation and it was a bit scary.

"You know, that's not a terrible request, Bella," Edward stepped in.

"Hush," I told him. I could only handle one unreasonable person at a time. "Mom, I…" I trailed off for a moment, trying to find the right words to make her understand. I quickly realized there were probably no right words so I flashed Jasper a pleading look before continuing. "I've just made my choice, Mom. I don't want to delay what I've already decided any more than I have to."

"You realize we'll have to move," Mom said, considerably calmer. I'd have to remember to thank Jasper.

"We'd have to move soon enough anyone. Forks has been, well, it's been interesting but it'll be time to move on eventually and truthfully, I'd rather move now than later. It'll be easier."

"I suppose…Jasper, don't think I don't know what you're doing," Mom said with a bit of an edge. Mom stood with a huff and stomped away.

"Well, that was great," I muttered.

"Don't worry, she'll come around," Dad assured and I nodded.

"I guess," I replied. "It doesn't matter either way. She'll have to get used to it." I stood quickly, took the ring out of my pocket, and slipped it back on to my finger.

"Oh that ring is even more beautiful in person, Bella," Alice gushed making me blush profusely. "Now come with me." She grabbed my hand and began to drag me upstairs.

"What are we doing?" I asked. She didn't answer. "Alice!"

She stopped in front of her bedroom. "Okay, don't be mad. These things take time. He's a very exclusive designer and I wasn't sure exactly when Edward would ask-"

"Wait, did you already get a dress?" I asked, only mildly surprised.

"Yes, no go in there and look at it while I shoo Edward away."

"Why does he have to leave?" I asked. I was hoping to spend more time with him today.

"Because I've done a very good job at keeping him from seeing this dress and I'm not risking it. Now, go on." She skipped away and I hesitantly opened the door and what I found was a simply elegant dress that took my breath away. Gorgeous. Absolutely perfect.

Alice was soon back, Edward gone for the day, and I was trying on the dress. It fit. It fit! It was perfect and I couldn't help the bubbles of excitement building up inside of me. I was getting married! I had gotten so unbelievably lucky in life. I had an amazing family and a guy that was so much more than I thought to dream of and he wanted to be my husband and spend forever. Forever. I was going to have forever and I suppose in some way I have Renee to thank for that. Without her, I never would have gotten any of this. I just be a girl living in a small house in a suffocating town where I'd live what would no doubt be a normal, unsatisfying life. And now, well now I had everything it was beautiful.

My excitement continued through all of Alice's talk of the wedding even though I began to bore when she talked of colors and patterns and bridesmaid dressed…bridesmaids.

"Oh Alice! I almost forgot to ask you." I said as we sat on her large, white bed.

"Ask what?" Yes! I caught her by surprise!

"Alice, would you be my maid of honor?"

Her eyes grew and she wrapped her eyes around me with a squeal.

"Of course! Oh Bella, thank you!

"Well, you are my best friend," I explained.

She pulled back with a smile. "Back at you, Bella. This is so amazing. You're getting married. I mean, Rosalie and Emmett get remarried sometimes but we've all gotten used to thatas it happens so often. This is so exciting!"

I really had to admit it, this actually was very exciting.
