A/N Sorry for being away for like forever! I know I say that every time, but I've just been out of it for a long time, and honestly life has been suckish. :(

Hopefully I'll get back into this soon, and I know this is short (again), and sorry for splitting this chapter into two parts, but I just felt like one, I needed to update, and two, I like this ending. :)

Disclaimer applies as always.

Enjoy, guys, and thank you all so much for anticipitating this and being so loyal after all this time. (HP REFERENCE BOOYAH!)

"It's odd, isn't it?" murmured the aging witch, looking over her glasses to the headmaster of Hogwarts, "The Marauders have never pranked the school as a whole so much before. Perhaps, they are up to something…What do you think, Albus?"

The headmaster chuckled, "Minerva, this is James and Sirius. Of course they're up to something!"

Her nostrils flared, "Well? Aren't you going to stop them?"

Albus Dumbledore sighed, the spark leaving his blue eyes, "A war is approaching; perhaps a little laughter is what everyone needs."

She would lose. AGAIN. Obviously. She had lost every other time, and it befuddled her. For the past sixth years, Lily had won again and again against the Marauders. They'd shoot a comment at her, she'd shoot a snarky insult right back. Sure, they still made her angry—furious, even. But she had never lost over and over again, unsure of how to retaliate as the boys playfully strolled right past her. What had happened to her comebacks during seventh year?

She had partly given up. Of course, the other side was still Lily—the stubborn, righteous Lily. Still, a half of her, maybe even two-thirds, had given up and accepted the fact that she was going to lose every time from now on.

And maybe she kind of enjoyed the attention.

Just a little.

What is your favorite place in all of Hogwarts? Lily read.

The Marauders were going to transport them to their chosen place. She just knew it.

Lily was unsure of what to choose.

The library? She really did love the library, but recently all her teachers have been giving out tons of essays and homework, and to be honest, she was getting sick of being in the library. Yes, Lily Evans was sick of the library. What has the world gotten to?

What about the Gryffindor common room? It was a warm and cozy place, with a burning fire, squishy sofas, and…kissing couples. Never mind.

And all of a sudden it popped into Lily's head. How could she have not thought of it sooner? The Room of Requirement. It had everything, and sometimes, Lily could go there to relax when she was uptight. Nobody else knew about it, so it was like her little private paradise or refugee center.

With a smile and a flourish of her wand, the words The Room of Requirement appeared on the sign on the wall in Lily's cursive writing.

Being stuck in the Room of Requirement wouldn't be bad: she would have everything she needed: books, pillows, beds, bathrooms…

A day flew by.

Another one came and went.

Nothing.

Lily yawned. Still in a daze, she faintly heard the sounds of footsteps pacing back and forth. "Morning, guys!" she called through the curtain to her friends.

No reply. The only answer was the silence—the footsteps had stopped.

Something felt off, but still Lily cautiously brushed aside the curtains. She breathed a sigh of relief when she saw who it was, "Oh, hey Mary, what's wrong?"

"I forgot that there was a Transfiguration essay due today! I didn't even start it and I can't find my textbook!" The girl frantically dug through her cabinet.

"Relax, you can borrow mine." Lily handed it to her.

"Oh thank you thank you thank you thank you!" Mary cried, "I'm barely scraping an Acceptable in Transfiguration and—"

"Shut up, Mary. I'm trying to sleep!" Marlene grumbled loudly.

She always was grumpy in mornings.

Another day flew by; still nothing happened.

Lily yawned. Another morning, another day. Through her grogginess, she heard footsteps—again. Had Mary forgotten to do her homework again?

Lily pulled aside the curtains around her bed.

She screamed.

They whirled around, made a sudden movement, and Lily screamed once more as a pool of dark red gathered on her shirt.
