Titania swung her right arm; and the open; space-like environment of the centre of the Dream World changed into a rocky terrain; craggy and pitted with craters. The landscape was twisted and ruined; desolate.
"Her power is enough to even change the landscape?" Miko asked.
"Eh; all she's doing is helping me out!" Tenshi said; brandishing her sword; before she shot downwards to the ground like a rock; driving her sword into it hard enough to splinter the ground around her. "The Hinawai Clan is in charge of the Keystones which create earthquakes; while I don't have any keystones with me; my knowledge and the power of the Sword of Hisou lets me do this! Sword of Unletting Soil!"
Tenshi heaved; and ripped her sword from the ground in an upwards swing; causing a massive fissure to open in the direction of the arc; throwing up a massive amount of rocks and debris towards Titania.
The Goddess; simply put her hand out and the rocks fell to the ground.
"For a Celestial to try and strike me is like a fly attempting to do so. No less with something I created." Titania said proudly; before a massive blast of water rushed over her; Patchouli; Daiyousei; Toyohime and Buru all contributing to the blast.
Titania was unaffected by the torrent of water; and seemed to even ignore it for a moment; before Cirno cried "Perfect Freeze" and the torrent of water became a massive cylinder of ice; encased around Titania.
The goddess simply started to radiate heat; but Cirno fought back.
"Minus Kelvin!" she cried; as the heat radiating from Titania stopped; and the ice started to encroach further up her neck.
This time; the goddess let out a roar as she heated up again; but Cirno did not relent; this time upping the cold even more by throwing in her Cold Divinity. At this point; everyone around was feeling the chill of Cirno's power.
"I don't get it; she wasn't even this strong back at the waterfall!" Tenma shouted.
"I think it must be due to the sprite's connection to Titania; as she grows in power it makes us stronger too." Daiyousei explained.
Remilia first formed the energy version of Gungir; before she used more energy and formed the real lance again.
"We don't have time to worry about the fairy's power. You stopped this last time using your arms; let's see you stop this frozen solid!" Remilia said; throwing her lance.
The mythical spear rocketed towards Titania; but without warning; the ground under her ruptured; a literal volcanic eruption engulfing her. It was blatantly obvious the instant she was consumed by the magma and the cylinder of ice broke apart at each side of the eruption that she was freed. Gungir flew into the magma and rocks; before it flew back out at a different angle; Titania having caught the lance like before; and this time; hurled it back.
The lance shot towards Byakuren; most likely targeted because of her strengthening everyone else; and it flew right through her chest. The monk looked shocked; before she fell towards the ground.
The magma and rocks started to fall; like some twisted fireworks; and ash and soot started to rain from the sky. Titania laughed.
"Now then; what will you do now the monk is gone? You are even more insignificant than before!"
Everyone just looked at Titania; showing no concern. Titania looked confused for a second; before she looked at her left wings. The tips were still frozen. She was sure she completely engulfed herself in the magma however; but it was about fifteen centimetres off...
Titania shook her head; and Byakuren was in the air; perfectly fine. Her heart was fifteen centimetres to the side of where Gungir was aimed.
"It seems as if this is my limit; master." Reisen said; gasping and covering her eyes. "To use my power to effect someone as powerful as her is extremely difficult for me."
"Yousaved Byakuren from certain death just there Reisen. You did well." Eirin said, before looking at Remilia.
"Don't use Gungir again; she can just stop it and use it against us! There's no way we can pull what she pulls with it when she hurls it with all her power!" Eirin ordered.
Remilia made an annoyed sound; flapping her wings a few times, before she noticed Titania looked furious.
"Filthy rabbit; how dare you modify my perception of the natural realm!" she roared; before looking at Daiyousei and Cirno. "And you two... traitors! You were borne of my flesh and blood; yet you bear your fangs at me!"
"What you're doing is wrong!" Cirno said flatly.
"The Titania who created the fey in the legends to watch over nature was a kind goddess. You... you're not her!" Daiyousei protested. "Not fighting you would be betrayal to her!"
Titania fired a blast of cold air at the pair of sprites; but Utusho got inbetween them and launched a blast of flame to stop it. Meanwhile; a flash moved past Titania.
"I felt something..." she said; looking down to see a tiny cut on her middle right wing. The cut oozed a little bit of dark blue blood; which; when it hit the ground; caused the barren landscape to grow grass.
Konngara; with her sword over her shoulder; whistled from above Titania.
"Hey; your hide's pretty tough if all you got from Ol'Kabo." Konngara said.
"Wait a second; your sword can hurt divines?" Rumia shouted.
"Yeah. It's forged with a special ore that only exists in Hell." Konngara said. "And it's not quite true that only the divine can harm the divine... the deamonic can too."
Titania's wound closed; and Konngara smiled.
"Now then; let the sword art of the Oni flourish; the Sword destined the challenge the heavens; the style of the Astral Blade!"
Konngara's sword wrapped itself in hellfire; and she brandished it above herself; before she flew towards the Goddess.
Titania just watched Konngara fly towards her; picking up speed like a blazing comet in the sky; before with a single swift movement; she swung her arm like a whip. The oni kept going; but her sword shattered into thousands of fragments.
"The damned or the dead are fools to raise their blades at me as well." Titania said. "Although I commend you for being able to wound me even the slightest with my guard down."
Konngara floated below Titania this time; and just laughed.
"Well; my sword reached you. Do you even realise the significance of what I've done?"
Titania remained silent.
"I've given them hope. If that's the best a dead old Oni like me can do; then that's all I can do. But I did enough."
Titania formed a wall of foliage and rock to block some blasts from Shou's pagoda and various other attacks before she scowled.
"Hope? There is no hope! There is only fear!" she roared. "I shall make you cower in terror; and I shall show your defeat to everyone trapped in nightmares to show their hearts that there is no hope so they completely sink into despair and fuel me more!"
The streams of energy from the corridors grew; inflowing into Titania.
"It's a crying shame that I won't get to have my way with you all; but you are angering me! Divine Art: Great Extinction!" Titania cried; before unleashing a rainbow wave of energy from her body in all directions; nowhere to escape.
Everyone was sent flying; and injured badly. The only thing that kept everyone breathing was the massive amount of fortification their bodies had received from Byakuren; who was now unconscious and badly hurt herself, out of energy.
Only a few people were still conscious at all. Rumia and Rika struggled up; as did Tenma and the Scarlets. The Watasukis seemed to have endured the attack in the first place; as did Eirin; while the Hourai Immortals just reincarnated; not bolstered in their durability by Byakuren due to there being no need. Tenshi and Buru were also conscious; although they seemed in pain. Yumemi had managed to hide behind one of her crosses; which had probably been re-created beforehand by Rika's drones. Marisa and Reimu had managed to withstand the blast as well; thanks to Reimu forming a barrier. Yuuka as well as up.
"Meddleing monk... this is why I saw you fit to die by the divine lance." Titania cursed; before she brushed herself off. "Regardless. How long can you survive the wrath of nature?"
Titania pointed to the ground; and a massive quake wrecked it; so strong that the ground tore itself asunder; massive chunks of rock being blasted into the air; magma blasting from the crevaices.
"Magnitude 13: Yucatán Peninsula." Titania calmly said; as the ground she created basically self-destructed; with her as a central point. When the ground was completely fragmented and ruined; her creation of earth and magma vanished.
"Hmm; maybe I went overboard." Titania said. "Magnitude 13 was too much for my construct to handle before it could kill you. That said; Magnitude 13 was the force of the impact that killed the Dinosaurs."
"She's not even fighting seriously…" Remilia said. "She's just making fun of us with her power…"
"I'm not even sure if I can cause that much destruction…" Flandre added.
Yorihime scoffed; as she lost her Lunar God form; and returned to normal; before she summoned Hakurei.
"I've had it with this fight. I'll end it right here. Earth Miko; assist me in sealing her!"
"Wait; you can call my god too…" Reimu said; dejected.
"Yes. And she's not happy with you." Yorihime snarked.
"I know that." Reimu replied; before she pulled out sealing tags from her pocket. "But if we can't overpower her we'll just have to seal her!"
Reimu began flying around Titania; spraying sealing tags in her path. The goddess just looked; amused. Yorihime started making hand seals as well; magical runes appearing around Titania.
"Divine Art: God Sealing Circle!" Reimu cried; unleashing a final barrage of sealing tags. The sheer volume she had used probably exceeding her own weight; summoning them with magic.
"Divine Contract: Great Hakurei Barrier!" Yorihime cried; as the seals she formed made a wb between themselves and Reimu's seals; making a mesh of purple light around Titania; and what seemed like a slight disturbance in the air between the meshes; clearly a barrier. Magical chains bound the god's limbs to the barrier; stopping her from moving at all.
"The strength of this seal should exceed that of even the Great Hakurei Barrier of Gensokyo." Yorihime boasted. "Seeing as it was created by channelling her powers through me; and not a lesser Earthling."
"Yeah yeah whatever." Reimu said.
"It won't hold her." Toyohime remarked. "Not for long."
"It dosen't have to!" Tenma shouted. "While she's restrained is the time to strike!"
"Right!" Remilia roared. "Heart Breaker!"
"Q.E.D: Ripples of 495 Years." Flandre said; touching the lance with Laevateinn; and muttering a quick 'Kyuu'; causing the weapon to pulsate with red ripples.
The vampire threw Gungir again; which phased through the barrier; it's godly power to always hit it's target ignoring that which would stop it.
Then it tore through Titania's chest; before the ripples of red energy flew through her body; causing a cry of anger and pain. Her god's head went limp.
"A direct hit!" Remilia said.
"Seems like it's over." Tenma remarked. "Good job!"
Everyone started cheering; but then; Rika noticed something. She turned around; before she shouted.
"Behind you!"
There wasn't time. A thin blast of rainbow light blasted through Buru; and she spat out blood.
A new figure was behind her. She was the size of a fairy; and looked like a much younger Yuuka. Like Titania; she had six wings; pure black; and they had five small crystals in them. She opened her mouth; revealing sharp teeth; and laughed manically.
"How many centuries has it been since I have not needed to hide away in that puppet of mine to conserve my faith! I applaud you mortals for forcing me to unleash my true form; but alas; there is no need for me to store up power any longer! "
The thin beam died down; and the Celestial fell. Tenshi rushed after her; and caught her; before checking her pulse.
"It can't be..." Tenshi said. "How can she be..."
"You think that a God can't kill a Celestial?" Titania mocked. "You think too highly of yourselves!"
Rumia looked at the shell that was Titania's body; which collapsed into vines; revealing the long-haired; trousers wearing Yuuka; who had a large hole in her back. She struggled up; looking exhausted, and pointed at the Goddess; before breathing in deeply.
"You... bitch." She rasped; before smiling. "Final Spark."
Rumia could see nothing but rainbow light; and hear nothing but the roar of energy. Marisa's Final Spark was comparable to that of the Gensokyo Yuuka. This was from the real Yuuka; and it's power was incredible.
Almost as suddenly as the blast had erupted; however; it died down. Titania floated; with both her palms in front of herself; unharmed except minor burns on her hands. She looked furious. Yuuka; on the other hand; collapsed.
Rumia looked around. Tenshi was cradling her dead friend; Maribel's half-sister. The Gensokyo Yuuka as flying over to the real Yuuka; clearly freed from Titania's possession after she left her body. Reimu and even Yorihime looked tired after attempting to seal Titania; and Remilia and Flandre also looked like they were starting to tire. Tenma could not harm a god; neither could Mokou; Toyohime or Kaguya.
"So; it seems like it's just us two." Rika said.
"You mean just me; Rika. You can't fight a God either." Rumia said.
"Hah; you think technology is natural? I'm like; her weakness or something!" Rika protested.
"Idiot." Rumia replied.
"Actually; she may be of use." Yumemi said; pulling out a familiar sphere. "I managed to repair one of these recently; for the most part. I'm sure Rika is capable of finishing the repairs. Even if she cannot harm the goddess herself; she may be able to protect you."
"No way am I letting Rika make those!" Rumia shouted.
"What? You don't trust me?" Rika asked. "Besides; you need all the help you can get. You're the only one in a fighting state who can actually hurt her anymore."
Rumia glared at Rika; before she looked at Titania and flew towards her.
"I don't need help." Rumia said flatly. "Because at this point; I'm ready to explode with rage. Have you ever seen me fight... when I am truly furious?"
Rika heard the tone of Rumia's voice; and noticed the shadows swirling around her.
"Usually I'm either only using power from Gensokyo or power from Makai. I'm only using half of my real magical power. But this world... this place; it's where the magic from all worlds collide... this is the place I can fight to my fullest potential!"
Red mists flowed from one of the tunnels; and blue from the one that the group came down; both flowing into Rumia as she breathed in.
Rumia balled her fists together; as her magical; dark energy wings erupted into form; larger than ever before. The left ones pulsed with red energy; while the right ones pulsed with blue.
"Duel Origin!" she roared; before she slashed towards Titania; forming a claw out of shadow; with lines of red and blue like veins to extend her reach.
The Goddess did not move; but suddenly scowled as a tiny cut formed on her cheek; golden blood trickling for a moment before it healed.
"... The combined power of two realms... in a single being designed to kill an omnipotent God. You are dangerous..." Titania said.
"No." Ruimia said; her voice brimmed with rage. "I'm not dangerous. This isn't me when I'm dangerous; Titania."
Rumia rushed past the goddess; causing another small cut; this time in her arm; which also healed quickly.
"This is me when I'm pissed off. "
Author Notes:
The final round is upon us. After everyone else forced Titania to abandon Yuuka's body and reveal her true body; it comes down to Rumia to defeat her; using the full power of her heritage from Makai and Gensokyo together.
Rumia was angry at Titania before; but seeing her kill one of Yukari's daughters in front of her; bearing in mind how much Rumia blames herself for Yukari; has pushed her even further.
Next chapter will be the end of the final battle.
Titania's real body being that of a fairy is a reference to her being the creator of the fairies; she created them in her own image because of her own ego.
