A/N: I'm back with a new chapter!
Patricia POV
Fabian screwed his eyes shut as Vallen twisted Nina's arm. After that first kick to Eddie's shin, I buried my face in Joy's shoulder. It wasn't that I was afraid or anything, I mean I'm Patricia Williamson for goodness sake. But seeing Eddie so defenseless like that just felt...wrong. Everything was silent as I lifted my head. Eddie was beside a tree, trying to keep his eyes open.
"Eddie," I uttered as I rushed over to his aid. "Come on, wake up you idiot!"
"Watch out Patricia, I've got this," KT spoke before rubbing her hands together and slapping Eddie across the face. He moaned ouch as I smiled.
"Won't get a scratch huh?" I mocked as he watched me.
"I didn't get a scratch. Some bruises and head trauma maybe but no scratches," he smiled a droopy smile as I sighed.
"Come on, let's get you home."
I placed the blue ice pack on Eddie head as he winced at the sudden contact.
"Sorry," I apologized sheepishly.
"Eddie, come hold me in place," Nina said from the living room. Walking to her, he grabbed her shoulder as she jerked forward, popping the joint back in place.
"Keep this on your head," I demanded, replacing the clothed bag. He gave me a face as he sank to the couch.
"Are you going to tell us a little more about yourselves now that we know?" Amber questioned quietly.
"KT why don't you, Eddie and I are concussed," Nina sighed. KT gave Nina a looked as I motioned for Eddie to sit up before letting him lay his head in my lap.
"You didn't hit your head," KT pointed out.
"I got a concussion from last time," Nina smiled brightly. KT and Nina had a stare down as Eddie stared up at me. He lifted his hand and delicately traced his fingers on the light bruise on my neck.
"It's not your fault," I reminded him. He was about to reply when KT gave a loud groan and sat on the arm rest.
"Gather around it's story time! Hear the life, well the parts I remember, stories of Nina Martin, Eddie Miller, and me, KT Rush!" KT exclaimed loudly. Everyone gathered in the living room, sitting anywhere possible.
KT POV
"So, where should I start?" I talked to myself. I got up from the arm rest and sat on the cushioned single chair as my face twisted in concentration. "Ok, I was born in Pennsylvania and moved to California since there isn't a lot of Supernaturals in Pennsylvania. Being a hunter is a family business for me. My great-great grandfather was actually Robert Frobisher-Smythe; he was a hunter too, he actually led the last Supernatural war. Since this was his house, he made tunnels under the house and whatnot. Then Nina is from Texas and moved to California for the same reason I did. At that time we were only, like what, four, so we all met at a training session and we've been best friends since. Nina's parents were hunters and Eddie's dad's side of the family has something to do with hunters. So once we reached middle school, we finally got to go on hunts, and then the whole Vallen thing happened. Um, fast forward. Mr. Felix sent us here to solve the problem and make sure everyone was safe. Then now we work for Frobisher Industries, founded by my great-great grandfather by the way, for the time being. Oh and Eddie's dad, Sweetie, is running the Industries."
"Ok," Alfie muttered as Nina got up.
"Speaking of the Industries, I'm going to go dump these ashes into the Beyond," Nina announced.
"Nina wait!" Eddie called after her as she turned around.
"Go get our pay check," he demanded as I nodded in agreement. She gave us a wink before disappearing.
"So now that you know I have two warnings: one, I wouldn't go roaming around at night or in the woods if I was you and two, be careful who you invite inside," I told them as they nodded.
"I feel dizzy," Eddie stated as Patricia rubbed her thumb in a soothing manner on his cheek. Willow handed me a cup of ice chips as I handed it to Patricia.
"This will make you feel better," Patricia sighed, shoving a spoon of ice chips in his mouth.
"Are you trying to choke me?"
"Maybe," she teased as his eyes drooped.
"Don't fall asleep on me," she whispered as she patted his cheek.
"I can't keep my eyes open," he told her as she turned around to face me.
"What should we do?"
"Eddie try to stay awake a long as you can, don't go to sleep until you have to," I spoke softly as he gave a tired nod.
"Stay up, come on, stay up with me," Patricia cooed, shaking his shoulders every now and then.
"Can't," he groaned. I went into the kitchen and leaned against the counter.
"Rough day at work?" Jerome questioned as he entered the small kitchen with Fabian.
"Um yea, usually it's Nina getting the concussions," I laughed bitterly. Fabian stiffened a bit but quickly recovered.
"Why's it bothering you so much?" Fabian asked softly. I sighed and gave a small smile.
"That obvious? I don't know, I mean I'm a great hunter but I'm just not much of a leader. Like when Nina's hurt, Eddie takes charge and knows exactly what to do. I'm just not used to being in charge. I need Nina to come back soon, she always knows exactly what to do," I explained quickly.
"You're a better leader than I am," Fabian said with a warm smile.
"Please, everything's a better leader than you. Even a chair," Jerome scoffed.
"Hey!" Fabian exclaimed, clearly offended.
"Accept the sad, cold truth," Jerome teased. I patted Fabian's shoulder as he gave a frown.
"There, there," I uttered as Jerome laughed.
"I'm going to go somewhere I'm appreciated," Fabian spoke, walking off.
"I'm sorry you know, I didn't mean for any of this to happen," Jerome apologized.
"It's ok," I brushed off. He gave me a look as I went to grab something.
Patricia POV
"Eddie, stay awake, come on," I spoke softly as I gave him another spoonful of ice chips.
"Babe, I wanna sleep," he moaned, not noticing that he called me babe.
"Eddie."
"Sorry..." he trailed off, now noticing he said babe.
"It's ok," I smiled widely.
"You don't care?"
"Not really, I mean I prefer you not to call me that, but it's ok every once and awhile," I spoke softly.
"You don't want me to call you babe but you let me call you Yacker, even though you say it annoys you," his voice is thick with tiredness and laced with confusion. I shrugged as his smile widened.
"You like when I call you Yacker," he teased as I rolled my eyes.
"No I don't," I scowled as I looked away. He pushed my face softly to face him again.
"Yacker," he whispered.
"I like when you call me Yacker," I spoke in a voice so soft you could barely hear it.
"Why?" he spoke in the same soft voice as me.
"It's silly..."
"Tell me."
"It makes me feel special, like I mean something to you. Something unique," I spoke softly. He gave a smirk as he sat up from his spot on my lap, into a sitting position. He brought his lips to my ear, making me shiver.
"Yacker. Yacker. Yacker," he whispered slowly as his hot breath sent chills down my spine. "Did I make the Patricia Williamson shiver?"
"Shut up," I muttered, refusing to turn and face him.
"You're blushing!" he teased.
"Am not," my voice was small as he smiled teasingly. Turning my face to his, he edged closer, his lips touching mine every time he spoke.
"Yacker, Yacker, Yacker," he tsked. His lips were a chilling cold every time they brushed against mine.
"Stop teasing me," I spoke softly as I tried to pull myself away.
"You want to kiss me, don't you?"
"Eddie..."
"Admit it." I don't know why I was letting him do this to me. He clouds my judgment and all my senses. I can't think straight around him.
"I want to kiss you," I whispered as he grinned.
"Yacker, Yacker, Yack-" I grabbed the back of his neck pulling him into a kiss.
"Don't ever tease me," I muttered against him lips as he hummed in response. He brought his hand to my cheek and rubbed his thumb softly. His hand slowly moved from my cheek to my neck. He brushed against my lips with his thumb before delicately running his fingers across my neck.
"I'm not going to let anyone hurt you again," he said. I didn't know if he was talking to me or himself so I remained silent as his eyes squinted shut. His forehead creased in a worry line as I frowned. I kissed his forehead, wanting him to stop stressing.
"You can't change the past, you can only prepare for the future," I bit my lip as he smiles.
"Thank you for your words of wisdom, Yacker," he thanked as he laid back in my lap. "I'm exhausted."
"Come on, I think you can sleep now." I got up, making him fall of the sofa.
