You ever get the feeling your being watched? Yeah, I know.
As I walked out of the shower, I noticed a neatly folded pile of clothes. I walked over to them and saw a note on top. It read, Hey. Here are you new clothes. Hope you like them. P.S I didn't peek, don't worry. I chuckled when I read that last part.
After drying myself, I looked in the mirror. My hair was now almost completely white and was just a bright grey. It was also growing outwards in spikes. Looking down to my chest I noticed that the iron white skin had spread to around the middle. I touched it and got the same feel out of it as I had with my arm, the metallic skin. Now I went down to my stomach to notice some muscle that wasn't there before. My legs were also much more muscular than before.
Then I saw my new scars. I had a small one running on one side of my neck and a medium sized one on my upper arm. I turned around to inspect my back and gasped. Running in a squiggly line from my right shoulder to my left hip, was a deep scar with smaller cuts along the same path. I touched it and it felt cold. Turning back around I took a deep breath and thought, they are going to pay.
Now then to the task at hand. I looked at my new clothes to find that they looked pretty good and fit me almost perfectly. I was now wearing a long white coat that that went outwards slightly from my waist. It was tightly wrapped around my torso with broad black straps. My white silver rimmed sleeves made a point over the top of my now fingerless black gloves. My somewhat puffy pants were high on my thighs because the rest of my legs were coated with long silver/white boots with thin black straps.
Well, they certainly have style.
"How is it?" Came Swarmia's voice from the other side of the door.
"Perfect, but how did you know my size?" I replied.
"Um...after I knocked you out, I checked to see if you were injured and I just saw the tag."
"Oh. So did you see my sc-"
"Yes I saw them. I'm truly sorry."
I sighed and walked out of the bathroom to find Swarmia sitting atop the bed. With a nod of our heads, we walked into the hallway.
The first thing I noticed were the other doors around me. The hallway was more of a hall with 4 doors on the right and left. The floor looked like a mix of gold and spruce. A massive glass chandelier hung from one chain on the ceiling. That kinda made me nervous.
"So how many people live here?" I inquired.
Before she answered, she looked around nervously as if it was a secret. Then in a voice just above a whisper, she answered, "including you, eight."
"Why are you whispering?"
"First of all Swarms, I am the ninth so don't pretend otherwise. Secondly she's whispering because she doesn't trust me to listen to reason." Came a deep voice from down the hall.
Just as I was turning to look at who had spoken, I was pushed onto my back, a blade nearly piercing my throat. I looked into the yellow eyes now above mine and gulped.
"So tell me" he started very calmly, "who are you?"
After a moments hesitation, I felt a pain in my head and saw only darkness.
So there is your chapter folks. Sorry for the abrupt ending but I have some cousins coming over that I need to prepare for. But who is the mysterious man with yellow eyes? Find out next week. Read, review, follow, favourite, whatever! Just don't hate. Keep flashing, I'm out!
