Hey guys. How have you been? I had a hard time with this chapter so please excuse its suckiness.

To the guest reviewer who asked: Usually, I update on Saturdays, but since it's break, there really isn't a schedule.

Chapter 50

-The Next Day-

Unfortunately, Tobias couldn't come with me last night. Bella didn't know that we knew the truth. We had to keep up the charade until today, but it's not like much had to happen. Bella just had to wake up and see that Tobias was still there. This morning at breakfast is when Bella's plan would be put to an end.

I was sitting by Christina and Will when they walked in, hands laced. As soon as Tobias saw me, I saw a small flicker of a smile that he had to contain.

"Excuse me for a minute," he said to Bella.

I stood up and Tobias came over to me. His arms wrapped around me and our lips connected. As assumed, Bella came stomping over.

"What the hell?" she shrieked.

"Oh, hey Bella." I said. "How are you today?"

"Shut up! Tobias, what is going on?" she demanded.

"I've decided that I really don't want to be with a liar."

"Wh-what do you mean?" Bella stammered.

"Why don't you show us your baby bump? I've been dying to see it." I chimed in.

Bella looked terrified. Her mouth was moving but no words were coming out. She was on the verge of tears. Then her face hardened.

"How did you find out?" she asked.

"We had a very good actor." I told her, gesturing towards Tobias.

I was surprised to see that Bella actually looked hurt. She honestly thought that Tobias wanted to be with her. If she hadn't tried to break up my marriage with Tobias, I might have felt sorry for her.

A single tear slid down her cheek as she backed up, trying desperately to get the attention away from herself. When she finally got herself out of the cafeteria, I turned to Tobias and smiled.

"It's finally over." I said.

"Finally."

-A Few Months Later-

There was a furious knocking at the door. I groaned and looked at the alarm clock. 4:30. Who would need to wake us up this early?

"I got it." Tobias murmured.

He swung his feet off the bed and stretched before standing. I could hear him shuffling towards the door. There was an anxious voice that I couldn't put a name to, though it sounded really familiar. I blamed it on my drowsiness.

When Tobias came back in he flicked the light on. I blinked several times so my eyes could adjust.

"What's going on?" I asked groggily.

Tobias helped me get out of bed before he said, "Christina is having her baby."

"Now?" I exclaimed.

"Well, she's in labor."

"Close enough," I grabbed his hand and waddled out into the hall. Will was waiting for us.

Without saying a word, the three of us took off towards the infirmary.

"You ready, dad?" I asked Will. He nodded nervously.

We pushed through the infirmary doors and Will left to be by Christina. I eased myself into a chair in the waiting room and Tobias sat next to me.

"Aren't you supposed to be a bit bigger?" Tobias asked me.

I looked at my very swollen stomach and thought about what the doctor told me last week.

"I should be." I told him. "But the doctor said that it's fine. Our baby is just a little smaller than they should be at the moment."

He rested his large hand on my bump. Whenever he does that, the baby kicks me really hard. This time was no exception. When I winced, Tobias removed his hand.

"Sorry."

"It's alright. Baby loves their dad."

Tobias kissed my cheek. "I can't believe that she'll be here soon."

I glared at him. He knew that I hated it when he called the baby a girl. So that means he did it often.

"If the baby is a boy, I'm going to tell him how you called him a girl almost every day." I threatened. "Then he's going to hate you."

"Go ahead." Tobias laughed.

Will came back out into the waiting area.

"Did she have the baby?" I asked.

Will shook his head. "Not yet. It'll still be a few hours. You two should go home. Tris, you need to sleep."

"Alright Will." I said. "Come and get us when it'll be soon."

He nodded and went back to Christina. Tobias pulled me out of the chair and snaked an arm around me.

"How has Marlene been?" He asked me.

I immediately felt upset. "I think she's been dealing." I answered, but I wasn't sure how right my response was.

About two weeks into her pregnancy, Marlene went in for her first appointment. While she was there, the doctor told her some devastating news. She has a carnivorous uterus. Her baby was no longer there. There had only been a ten percent chance that the baby would have survived. Marlene was crushed. It was her dream to have a baby, and now it would probably never happen.

"I just feel so bad for her." I told Tobias. "Christina and I are getting the thing that she wants most."

When we got back, we went straight to bed. Tomorrow would be full of people and babies, and I needed some sleep.

-Page Break-

Will didn't need to come and get us that morning. We were already awake and I was just anxious to go. When we got there, Will was talking to the doctor who was covering for Doctor Hart. He saw us and nodded in greeting. Once he was done, he walked over and said it'll be any minute.

Tobias and I sat down and waited. Christina would probably want me to come in alone and Tobias knew that. I told him that he didn't have to come with, but he insisted. He said that he wanted to watch Will and see how he reacted. That way, he would know how to act when it was our turn.

I had told him that he wouldn't be able to keep up an act. He'll react as he goes, not according to what he thinks he should do.

About half an hour later, I was called in. I was surprised to see how exhausted Christina looked. I didn't think anything could ruin that girl's hair and composure. But it was obvious that she didn't care. In her arms was a bundle wrapped in a light blue blanket. Grayson.

I smiled at the sight, thinking about how that would be me in about two months.

"How are you feeling?" I asked my best friend.

"Wiped out." She admitted. "But it was worth it. Every minute was worth it."

I didn't know what else to say. The sight made me long for my due date to come quicker.

"You want to hold him?" Christina asked me. I nodded, accepting baby Grayson from his mother.

Grayson had a small patch of black hair, but other the resemblance to Christina ended there. "He looks just like you Will."

"I was hoping that he looked more like Christina." He said.

"Can Four come in?" I asked as I handed the baby to Will. "I'm sure he wants to meet the son of the annoying Candor from initiation."

"Shut up," Christina laughed. "And bring him in. He needs to practice holding a baby."

As I left, I heard Will complain. "You're letting Four use Grayson as practice?"

Tobias was staring at the ground when I came out to get him. "Come on in." I invited.

"Are they sure?" He looked nervous even though this wasn't his kid. I grabbed his hands and led him to Christina's room.

"Hey Four," Christina greeted.

"How are you?" Tobias asked.

"I'm alright. Just excited that Grayson is finally here." Christina smiled. "Come here and hold him."

Tobias, obviously uncomfortable and looked like he was about to refuse, slowly went over to Christina and retrieved Grayson. He smiled at the baby in his arms, all anxiousness gone.

When we had left, Tobias looked very thoughtful.

"What are you thinking about?"

"I just can't wait for that to be us."

Yeah, sorry for the bad chapter, I just really need to skip ahead a lot. I just don't know what else to put in this story at the moment. If you have any ideas, please PM me. I'd appreciate it. Love you!
