They had gone back to the courtyard. Joy had been given to the care of Affection ("They're like sisters," Joy had explained to Cyborg and Beast Boy. "Affection will help her heal until we can restore her realm.")
And now, incongruously, they were sitting around a campfire eating pizza.
As Beast Boy understood it (and whenever he tried to understand it too hard he got a headache) there wasn't really time in Nevermore, so there wasn't really night and day. Nor could he and Cyborg get tired.
This may have been true, but Beast Boy and Cyborg didn't feel that way. It was a long day, they were hungry and grimy with smoke, and they wanted to wash and rest before they did anything else.
So Raven had conjured a place for them to clean up (to Beast Boy's delight, it was the prefect's bathroom from Harry Potter) and gotten pizza and a campfire. She'd even made the sky above a deep purple-black, with millions of stars. There were rooms in the cathedral, she said grumpily, if they insisted on wasting time sleeping.
"You just said there wasn't any time here," Cyborg pointed out around a mouthful of double-pepperoni.
"You know what I mean," Raven said. She had refused any pizza and sat with her arms around her knees, staring at the fire.
"No, not sure I do, not around here." Cyborg swallowed another bite of pizza. "Humor us, Rae. We'll be all ready to go in the morning. Or whenever you make it morning. Slices?"
He passed the pizza box around and Brave took one from where she was sitting beside Beast Boy. Raven scowled at her. "You don't even have to eat."
"It's good," Brave said. "Now I know why Sloth likes those Doritos so much." She stretched her legs toward the fire and sighed happily. "I could sit here all day and eat pizza."
Raven's scowl faded and she studied Brave more closely. "Really?"
Brave burped. "Hell yeah."
Alarmed, Raven glanced at Cyborg and Beast Boy before replying, "That sounds really... sluggish."
Brave shrugged, and grinned, and took another bite of pizza.
Raven got to her feet and wandered over to where Wisdom was sitting on her bench. Beast Boy followed her, and caught up to them in time to hear Raven telling Wisdom "- and she's sitting there eating pizza and saying she could do it all day."
"In other words -" Wisdom said thoughtfully.
"In other words, she's getting lazy." Raven looked back at the fire, and even with her hood up Beast Boy could see the worry on her face. "It's like you're all blending together. But you're my Sides for a reason. What's going to happen if you can't contain the emotions I need you -"
Wisdom giggled.
Raven jumped, then groaned and sank down on the bench, burying her face in her hands. "No! Not you too!"
"I am sorry," Wisdom said, sounding like she meant it though she was fighting to not smile. "I have been feeling – strange."
"Strange," Raven echoed.
"I find myself wanting to – express things." Wisdom ducked her head, and Beast Boy saw with amazement that she was blushing. "Earlier – while you were gone – I sang. Only a little bit," she added quickly as Raven groaned again. "I am aware that I am not completely myself. I will help you as much as I can. But I am not sure, now, that I am wise." She hesitated, and added, "You may wish to rely more on the Sides who are still acting appropriately."
"But Affection is caring for Joy, and with Brave and you – that means -"
"Rage, Timid, Sloth, and Rude." Wisdom said apologetically.
"Dude," Beast Boy muttered, "We are so doomed."
