Kagome POV:

The Demoness that stood before me was just as all the other demons and demonesses, she was unearthly and beautiful. Her skin was pale, but unlike the other female demons, her pale skin was covered in bruises, not the kind from a fist fight, but the kind from war. She has two long claw marks running down the left side of her face from her hair line to the corner of her mouth. Her bright red hair was curly and wild, like her green cat like eyes. She was dressed in a short mid thigh kimono that had a slit up the right side of her leg and was red with white clouds on it, and she was bare footed. She didn't seem like the kind who would enjoy running a household, she seemed like the type of woman who enjoyed battle with her woman could not be a concubine...could she?

'So she is covering for him maybe?' I thought to myself, I tried to make my face blank, indifferent – as if I didn't receive the biggest shock of the era. I don't think it worked.

"Human you seem shocked, but I guess it is expected. Who are you and why are you here?" she sneered.

"Actually I was just leaving." I murmured as I tried to step around her to get through the door. 'Just get away from her. It won't do any good to purify her to death— especially when i don't know how strong she is or what her ties are to Sesshomaru.' I thought.

"No, you aren't going anywhere. Now you obviously aren't a servant—you're dressed too nice. You aren't a new concubine…hm. Why are you here?" She sounded more curious than hateful, which I couldn't tell was a good thing or a bad thing. But I did what any kidnapped high school girl would do..I lied my ass off.

"I have been sent by my father, the head of a very big and very wealthy village in the Middle Lands. And I have been sent to seek an audience with the great Lord of the Western Lands." I replied smoothly, my head held high and my back straight as a pencil.

"Why do you seek an audience with my Lord? And why was I not notified?" she yelled, her green eyes bright with anger.

"The reason of my request is to remain secret, and only I, my father, and Lord Sesshomaru are permitted to know, as for why you were not notified…perhaps there is a hypothetical snake in your hypothetical garden." I responded, but I don't think she liked it very much.

"How dare you! You may be from a wealthy family, but you are still a lowly human." She sneered in my face; she then raised a clawed hand ready to strike me across the face. "Give me one good reason as to why I shouldn't kill you right now." She hissed.

"Because," I started as calmly as humanly possible. "You wouldn't want to stain the floor with my blood."As I finished, the un-named demoness was too shocked to even realize that just as she raised her hand to strike. I had gathered a small amount of my power in my hands, and with my some of my power in my hand, I did the first thing I thought of.

I punched her in the face.
