A/N: I came across this finished almost chapter sitting on my documents hiding under a different name and decided to finish it up quickly and post it. The writing is about four or five years old, but bear with it.

IMPORTANT: Reviewers, readers… It's obvious that I don't have as big of an interest in this story at this point. But my proposition still stands from before, depending if anyone is still reading this.

Whomever wishes to write a chapter please let me know, because I will take what you have written and have you as like a "guest writer" and give you credit as helping/writing with my story. Simply after reading the summary for next chapter, let me know if you'd like to write it in a private message or even the review.

And if you have plans or want to do an episode in a future chapter, let me know as well. I can have a list posted up on a chapter next if you so desire that. The next episode info is at the bottom of the page after the story. Please think about it - this is a good way to incorporate my readers and also keep this story alive if you all wish.

If there is a big turnout for this story once again though, I will take it on once more and try to keep the ball rolling.

Chapter 24: Titan Rising

"Azarath Metrion Zinthos… Azarath Metrion Zinthos…" Raven said monotone, repeating her mantra over and over again. She was on top of the roof and it was sunset. She was about two feet above the ground and breathing the evening air in deeply, eyes content with being closed.

Suddenly she felt her senses kick in and she stopped something that was charging right at her head. She turned her face to the side to see that it was indeed the volleyball that her team had been playing with for the past 25 minutes. She quickly flung it back with her powers and heard an "oofff" when Beast Boy caught it. She smirked.

"Raven, are you sure you don't want to play?" She heard Robin ask her.

Raven grinned when she heard Robin's voice. She couldn't believe that she actually was beginning to –

"Rae c'mooooon," Cyborg piped up. Raven's sweat dropped and without opening her eyes or moving a centimeter replied finally.

"No. I have to meditate."

"Rae, don't make me come over there," Robin threatened.

"I'm petrified. I think I'll manage Boy Blunder." She mocked him.

"You asked for it. Hold the ball for me," he said, placing it in Beast Boy's surprised hands once more and stalking over towards the edge of the roof towards Raven. As soon as he was inches from her and about to grab her she levitated quickly to the side. Robin gasped and teetered on the edge of the roof, almost losing his balance but was caught by Raven, her hand the only thing keeping him up.

"Well it seems that you're in quite a predicament here now," Raven said with a small grin. Robin glared at her under his mask.

"Dudes look out!" Beast Boy suddenly shouted and Raven whipped her head around in time to see a volleyball being shot right at them. She shot a quick death glare at Beast Boy before fluidly flying up in the air with Robin a couple feet, allowing the ball to fall down below.

"Smooth, Grass Stain," Cyborg mumbled to Beast Boy who sighed. Raven went back down to the ground, letting go of Robin's hand but neither moving from the other's side.

"I'll get it," Beast Boy offered when suddenly the ball flew up into the air and bounced once before plopping in the green boy's hands. Everyone's eyebrows rose in confusion and all looked out towards the roof past Raven and Robin where the sun was still setting. Suddenly a slim figure came up from below on a floating rock, blonde hair whipping around her face.

"Mind if I join in?" she asked with a grin.

Everybody almost gasped. After regaining their composures all approached her - all but Raven.

"TERRA!" Starfire, Beast Boy and Cyborg called out as they all crowded around her excitedly, giving her hugs, high fives and sheepish grins.

"It's good to see you again," Robin said, finally able to reach the blonde girl and shaking her hand.

"Is he kidding? It's not good to see you again. It's GREAT to see you again! I thought I'd never see you again!" Beast Boy shouted out loud, taking Terra's hand and quickly dragging her over to where Raven had resumed meditating.

"Raven wake up, Terra's back!" he declared. "Isn't that great?"

"Super," She said a bit icily, not turning around to look at the girl that stood before her and her teammates. "Just help yourself to anything in the fridge and don't forget to lock the door when you leave."

Terra turned away from Raven and looked at the rest of the team that was behind her. "Actually, I kinda wasn't planning on leaving this time. I want to take you guys up on your offer. I wanna be a Teen Titan." She finished happily with a smile, looking at all of their faces for some form of reaction. When she saw their blank stares she immediately felt self-conscious.

"Got it, sorry. Didn't realize the offer had an expiration date," She said sadly, turning away and beginning to leave. Robin put a hand on her shoulder to stop her, making her turn around to look at him.

"The offer didn't expire. We're just concerned," He clarified.

"Yeah…" Beast Boy suddenly piped in softly. "Cause well last time when you sort of ran away… you weren't exactly… you couldn't completely…"

Raven sighed and opened her eyes. It was impossible to try and commence meditating with such chattering. She floated down and walked swiftly towards the Titans and Terra.

"You couldn't control your powers," She stated simply, putting her hands at her hips.

"Hello, that's why I left!" Terra said back to the dark girl. "Robin said I needed more practice, so that's what I've been doing. Check it out."

In one single motion Terra had jumped into the air and onto the rock she had come on. With a flick of her arms three more rose from the air and soon they were all in a pattern with Terra in the front rock as lead. Starfire, Cyborg and Beast Boy watched, impressed. Raven stared at her skeptically and turned to Robin who seemed to be doing that as well.

"Look at her go, she's amazing!" Beast Boy declared as Starfire nodded her head in approval.

"Just because she's learned a few new tricks doesn't make her any less dangerous." Raven argued, her monotone expression never leaving her face.

Finally after some flips were completed and the rocks had done their part Terra landed gracefully on the ground, with everybody but Robin and Raven cheering at her.

"So…" Terra wondered, excitement in her voice. Before anybody could respond the ground shook and everybody looked around them worried before it settled 5 seconds later. When it did everybody looked at Terra whose sweat dropped.

"Wasn't me." She stated.

"The girl was right, that wasn't her. Those weren't natural shakes… something's making them," Cyborg stated.

"Or someone…" Robin said aloud thoughtfully.

Terra looked up at the screen. "There's a lot of locations, I'd suggest we hurry if we're going to do anything."

"Alright Titans, lets move out!" Robin called as everybody made his or her way out the front doors. Raven and Robin stopped side by side though once they noticed Terra hadn't moved from her spot, seeming out of place.

"We could use your help, you know." Robin simply stated. Terra nodded with a small smile and ran between the two birds. Once she passed Raven got flashes in her head of Terra and Slade she didn't understand, suddenly shuddering. Robin placed a hand on her shoulder when he saw this and she looked up at him, snapping out of it.

"Everything okay?"

She flushed. "I'm not sure… something just doesn't feel right. Are you sure it's alright we let her come along?" Raven questioned, not wishing to leak what she'd seen.

"Everybody deserves a second chance." He merely stated, squeezing her shoulder for reassurance as the two ran off to catch up with the team.

Downtown Jump City seemed peaceful enough, simply busy with dusk traffic on the streets with continuous cars coming and going. Nobody was prepared for the large, mechanical drill-like serpent to plow up through the concrete and start targeting people vehicles left and right. Just as a bus was about to teeter into a hole made by the large robot snake, Raven's aura surrounded the bus and pulled it back to safety behind her and the team, the Titans standing tall before the danger as people ran by frantically.

"You missed the bus," Robin said with a smirk.

"Looks like you'll just have to take a cab," Cyborg chortled, a parked car raised above his head as he threw it with brute strength to the robot's head. It impacted, exploding as a cloud of smoke billowed around it, only for it to rear itself back angrily and come forward again. Raven landed in front of Beast Boy and Robin, eyes glowing white as she raised her hands protectively.

"Azarath Metrion – "

"I got it!" Terra suddenly called out, pushing Raven aside next to Beast Boy as she threw her glowing yellow hands up, the rocky concrete below rising and hitting the large bot back into the middle of the road. Raven sighed and levitated back up as the team moved forward to follow, Beast Boy shifting into a mammoth form and hitting the robot in its' side, causing it to roll into a nearby building. The changeling proudly transformed back into his human form, all smiles just as a red light emitted from the cloud of dust around the robot and a laser hit him square in the chest, sending him flying back into a different building across the road.

"Beast Boy!" Terra cried worriedly just as the beast took aim again at Beast Boy, who was now lying on the side of the road. Terra encircled her power around his form on the street below and jumped beside him, lifting them up off the ground on the rock and to safety, narrowly missing the beam as it travelled up to follow them.

Swiftly, Starfire flew in front of them and began throwing a barrage of starbolts at its' head, but she too was chased down by the laser beam and had to fly for cover. Robin looked up to her before glancing at the side in time to see Terra land beside him and Cyborg with Beast Boy.

"Good job, Terra. Now help me get up there in his face."

Terra nodded, happy to oblige and be of help to her soon to be leader as she screamed out when the earth before them began to rise and a makeshift staircase of floating rocks was thrust in front of the Boy Wonder to climb up. The robot began beaming the rocks he jumped on one-by-one, but Robin was far too fast. Raven floated nearby watching, levitating around the robot just as Robin leapt up off the final rock before the robot's mouth and threw explosive bombs into it. Without hesitation, Raven swooped in and caught Robin's arms just as he began to fall and the bombs began exploding inside of the long green body. She flew them away and toward safety just as Beast Boy flew up past them as a pterodactyl with Cyborg in his grip, sonic-canon loaded. He shot at it multiple times, but to no avail, the monster's own laser beam made it near impossible to get close enough for a large attack.

Robin looked up at Raven who was still flying with him, about to set him down, when he called out to her, "Get us flying fast enough for me to run up along the rooftop of that building and grapple hook onto that thing!"

Raven glanced down at him and nodded, tightening her grip on his wrists as his hands tightened onto hers and she flew them up farther and faster. Just as she had picked up an adequate amount of speed and he had enough room to run on the building for a little while, she released his hands and flew up as he ran and threw out his bird-a-rang toward the robot, it latching around its neck area as he swung through the air, up and around its' body. The Boy Wonder noticed a closed panel where he now stood and whipped out his bo-staff, digging it into the tight edge, trying to pry it up, but it was locked tight and simply snapped the thin metal rod. The Titans watched as the robot began to flail around and try to throw Robin off, unhappy. Raven's eyes widened from her spot on the ground and she began to levitate, until she saw Terra from her peripheral vision rising up a large chunk of the whole street in yellow power. Her target could only be the robot Robin was standing upon, and crashing the rock into it meant potentially harming him. Raven planted herself back onto the ground and raised her hands, black aura surrounding them and the rock now as she looked at Terra seriously.

"No!"

Terra looked in her direction as the Empath spoke up, eyes hardening as she hissed out, "What are you doing!?"

"It's too dangerous, someone could get hurt," Raven called above the commotion, pulling the giant boulder towards her, her magic outweighing Terra's own control. The earth bender glared.

"I know what I'm doing Raven, trust me!"

Their powers clashed continuously, one gaining an up over the other in a back and forth manner. Their faces tensed, refusing to give in as the large mass began to crack under the pressures of both their powers. Just then, Robin leapt down from the robot and looked up at it, the beam on its' forehead lighting up as it aimed at Raven and Terra. His eyes widened and he looked back to them.

"Girls! Look out!"

The beam was shot and met the mark on the boulder the girls were fighting over, a red orb of light emitting from it as it exploded into multiple chunks and threw everything and everyone back, including the robot. Robin ran a bit and jumped forward as much as he could to catch Raven in the blast and take the brunt of the fall when they connected with the sidewalk opposite of Terra. They laid their for a moment and sighed, before Raven gently rolled off of him and pushed up on her hands to halfway sit up. He looked over at her.

"You okay?" he whispered.

She simply nodded, her eyes giving him her thanks as she pushed herself to stand and looked over at Terra, who was slightly glaring and pushing herself to sit up as well.

They got up and met each other in the middle of the street, eyes steely. "Way to go," they mumbled at the same time to each other.

"Dudes, it's getting away!" Beast Boy called out, pointing ahead as the robot began to dive into the street and burrow underground. The team all ran towards the large tunnel now in the middle of the street and looked inside just as Robin's communicator beeped softly. He flipped it opened and his eyes narrowed at what he saw.

"Slade…"

"Robin, good to see you again. I do hope I haven't called at a bad time."

"The worm… what are you planning?" Robin demanded.

"Well now Robin, if you're so very curious, why don't you come down here and find out?" With that, the communicator fizzed out to static and the team looked around at one another, knowing they were about to go down.

The Titans had been walking below ground for what seemed like ages in silence, Cyborg's flashing the only thing shining on them ahead and keeping them on track. Starfire finally broke in.

"That evil worm has left us a very long trail, this tunnel continues for at least 2 more plinthorgs."

"We're more than 300 meters below sea level, what's this thing doing down here?" Cyborg added questioningly.

"Whatever Slade tells it to." Robin affirmed, walking beside the metal man. Terra glanced over at Raven who was walking somewhat next to her in the back as the others discussed amongst themselves.

"Look, sorry about our little tug of war back there," the blonde whispered, "you know I wouldn't have let anyone get hurt." Raven glanced sideways at her coldly.

"Whatever."

"Okay look, I don't know what your problem is, but get over it. If I'm gonna be apart of this team we have to get along." At this statement Raven stopped walking and fully glared over at Terra.

"You're not apart of this team, not yet. And if you endanger my friends again you never will be. The next time I tell you something is dangerous, take my word for it!" Raven demanded, leaving a stunned Raven behind as she walked back ahead, an irritated look on her face. Beast Boy hung back, Terra looking after Raven as she sighed.

"Um, why does she hate me?"

"Oh she kind of hates everybody, s'ept for Robin," Beast Boy said with a chuckle. "Don't worry, it'll be fine, Raven just needs to warm up to you some more and get used to you. I think she's still getting used to me."

"Guys, come here," Robin's voice called out and Beast Boy and Terra ran ahead to find a wide opening in the tunnel that lead to a large circular area.

"Dead end," Raven muttered, lowering her hood to her shoulders.

Robin's communicator beeped continuously, as if in protest. "Not necessarily…" he said, trailing off as he walked towards one of the far walls. "I'm picking up a signal from deep inside the rock."

"It's deep. Electronics, and a heartbeat," Cyborg affirmed with his own tech, standing beside Robin. His eyes narrowed behind his mask.

"Slade."

Terra stepped forward, hands glowing. "How 'bout we dig down there and see what's up?"

Just than the earth around them began to shake and the Titans looked around themselves as they tried to regain their balance. Raven shot Terra a look. Rave shot one back.

"Are you going to give me that look every time there's an earthquake?"

Before Raven could respond one of the robots drilled up beside them and hovered in place, looking at the team with its' drill still going. Two more popped up beside this one and everyone stood together, ready to fight.

"Titans, ready!" Robin ordered. Before anything could even take place though, the robots drilled themselves into different directions, completely disregarding the six teens.

"Helloooo, the good guys are over here!" Beast Boy called after one of them in its' tunnel. He looked back at everyone, "Dude, we got snubbed. What gives?"

"Beast Boy is correct. We are not their target," Starfire commented.

"Three of those worms together could wreck anything in the city," Cyborg muttered, a worried look on his face. Terra glared.

"We have to stop them!"

"No, we have to stop Slade," Raven corrected.

"Split up," Robin concluded, everyone glancing to look at him, "Starfire, Cyborg, Beast Boy, go after the worms. Raven and Terra, we're going after Slade."

Cyborg started walking toward a newly formed tunnel, "Star, BB, lets move!" The two nodded and ran off to begin their pursuit. Raven and Terra stepped up beside Robin, who was back to staring at the rock wall where he had originally detected an underground presence.

"I can make a tunnel on my own, shouldn't she go with – ?"

"No," Robin quickly cut Terra off, looking at her intently. "Raven's almost as good at moving earth as you are. We're digging through solid rock, I'm going to need both of you." Raven looked at Robin before her eyes narrowed, locking on Terra.

"Nice try."

"I've got coordinates on the signal. 40 degrees down, 600 meters deep," Robin confirmed, eyes on the communicator.

"No problem," both girls stated, hands rising with power as they began to clear out the wall. As Terra went ahead, Robin lightly grabbed Raven's arm to get her attention, looking at her seriously. She stopped to look at him right back.

"I know what you're thinking about her," Robin said in a hushed tone, smiling reassuringly, "This'll be fine, just don't look focus. I'm counting on both of you."

Raven nodded, offering a light smile back at his words before beginning again to catch up with Terra in their rock moving, the earth bender calling back.

"Am I too fast for you? That the fast you can go?"

Raven rolled her eyes and retorted back, "Not even close."

"Careful, this rock might not be stable, so just take it a little – " Robin glanced up again from his communicator to see them farther than expected before walking in after them, "slow…"

Meanwhile, the thrill drilling robots were side-by-side as they continued to drill sideways into the earth with the three titans hot on their trails. Without warning, they split up into three different directions, one up, one down, and the other veering right. The trio stopped to survey the area before turning to Cyborg. He looked at them both and pointed to himself.

"I'll take the ugly one. Teen Titans, go!" With that the three split up to pursue their own path, hoping to stop the robots soon and figure out their target.

Robin, Raven, and Terra looked around after just finishing their burrow through the ground, the wall they ended up going through revealing an underground lab of sorts with a large hologram in the center, multiple pathways leading to the circular center and above that what seemed to be a link of the robots with lasers above it circling the ground.

"What is this place…?" Robin breathed out.

Cyborg watched as suddenly his robot began moving straight upwards after chasing it and hanging on for quite some time, checking his arm to see where they possibly were in comparison to the sea level.

"Star, BB, we're almost to the surface," he told them through the communicator," Whatever their target is, they're about to hit it with everything they've got."

Just then in turn, each robot rocketed up through the surface of the earth followed by the three teens that came up just in time to see the three of the drills disappear to make way for different parts that connected each bot. The now linked together robots formed a circle and their speed picked up in their spot. Cyborg, Starfire, and Beast Boy's face paled when they realized the whole picture.

"Titans Tower!" Cyborg called out as they watched the robots circle around it from above, and without warning three large red lasers beamed down, striking the ground around their home and narrowly missing the teens as they ran to the side to evade the cluster of rocks that were thrown at them. As quickly as he could, Cyborg contacted Robin through his arm, yelling into the communication, "Robin, isn't the tower! They're attacking Titans Tower!"

Robin shown concern as he and the two girls had just made this discovery in the lair they had found, speaking back quickly, "It's not just under attack, it's about to be underground."

Starfire frowned when she heard this from Cyborg's communicator, fists clenching. "Our home!"

"Slade's trying to sink it," Beast Boy said in disbelief.

"If this drill breaks through, we're gonna need to find a new place to live!" Cyborg affirmed after cutting the communication between him and Robin. Starfire's eyes glowed green at the thought of this.

"I like where we live," she stated, quickly flying up into the air as Beast Boy followed, carrying Cyborg up. They had to stop the seemingly indestructible robots by all means necessary.

Below, Robin, Raven, and Terra were also trying to stop the link of robots beaming the ground from underneath the Tower, hoping to stop or at least slow the process to no avail.

"Not even a scratch," Robin said in frustration, running back towards the computer with the hologram. The girls followed behind. "If we can't break the drill, hacking this computer is our only shot at shutting it down."

Just then, Slade ran in and jump kicked into Robin, hitting him back away from the computer and across the floor. Raven and Terra looked on in surprise as he charged at the leader alone, going for a roundhouse kick that Robin jumped out of the way from with a back flip, defending and backing away as Slade continued pursuing. The two, now engaged in their usual game of cat and mouse, backed into an elevator across the path they'd been fighting and flipping across. Raven's eyes widened and without thinking she took off running towards Robin.

"Robin!" she called out. Terra hesitated before trailing behind her.

"Forget about me, shut down the drill!" he ordered, eyes focused ahead on Slade alone.

"Good, Robin. Now I have you all to myself," Slade sneered as he hit the up button with his fist, the gate behind them closing and all Raven and Terra could do was watch helplessly as it lifted up, Robin and Slade throwing punches at each other left and right. Raven watched worriedly before Terra's voice jarred her from her focus on Robin.

"Looks like it's just you and me."

The two looked up at the rock ceiling above them that was still getting drilled into, it becoming more and more unstable by the second as the slice grew deeper. Raven exhaled and quickly began to walk back towards the computer.

"We have to hack in," she reasoned, knowing Robin's orders were right. Terra smirked as she simply levitated a large boulder and began to move it in the same direction.

"Why hack when you can smash?"

Raven's eyes widened and she turned away from the computer momentarily, hand rising as she surrounded the boulder in her aura to stop it from moving any closer. "No! We don't know how this thing works. Destroy the controls and we might never be able to stop it."

"Or we might stop it sooner, and save our home!" Terra contradicted, not giving up her power on the boulder either. "Why can't you just trust me? Raven's eyes narrowed, talking in a strained voice.

"Because you don't deserve it. I have to meditate everyday to keep my powers under control and I'm supposed to believe that you can suddenly control yours? Trust is something you have to earn!" Terra's eyes gained realization, almost looking pleadingly to Raven.

"How? How do I earn it?"

"You can start by trusting me," Raven urged. Terra's eyes softened and she released all hold from the boulder, and it dropped to the ground between them. The two finally turned their attention fully to the large computer, differences aside for the moment. But just as Raven began typing away, the ground shook around them again as the beam drove deeper and rocks fell all around them, one smashing into the controls they were working on. The girls fell to the ground and looked up, watching as the thin red beam became even larger, the robots speeding up in the rotation around and around, making the ground shift more. Raven glanced at Terra, eyebrow raised as the blonde smiled at her.

"Okay, maybe smashing the computer was a bad idea."

Robin dodged as Slade threw another punch his way. He followed up with a sweep of his leg toward the older man's feet, only for him to also evade with a side jump, feet planting firmly in the floor before he sprang back at Robin, hitting him into the side wall. The Boy Wonder huffed, wind knocked out of him slightly before leaning toward him again just as the ground shook again, sending him off balance and to his knees. He looked over to the robots beaming the earth above him, eyes widening. The ground was beginning to come down slowly.

"The Tower," he whispered out. Slade seemed to take pleasure in this, merely looking at the boy before him.

"Going down." With that, Slade leapt out of the elevator shaft, disappearing as Robin looked over the railing for him. He realized how close he was to the ceiling, impact about to strike as he managed to leap out himself, firing a grapple hook toward a nearby landing and swinging to it. Where were the girls? Suddenly his communicator beeped, Cyborg's voice heard from it.

"Yo, Robin! We stopped the robots, BB got in and shut it down, we did it, we took out the–"

Before Robin could respond he heard the beam grow louder and the rest of his team scream from the other line, it breaking through the surface from below and striking. The trio watched in horror as the island their Tower stood upon began to sink into the water below, flying for safety. There was nothing else they could do.

"We have to go," Raven said above the noise from the shifting rocks, eyes up, "there's nothing we can do now." Terra's eyes glowed yellow as she confidently looked to her fellow girl teammate.

"Yes there is, trust me."

Raven watched as Terra threw up her glowing hands and a beam hit the falling ground above, making it stop in its' movement downward as she pushed back up against it. Raven hesitated, clenching a fist as she watched the earth bender struggle under the weight, before finally standing right beside her and saying her mantra, throwing her hands up as well and aiding. With the two's power combined, suddenly it began to steadily move up again. Robin saw this and smiled to himself.

"Robin, the Tower, it is saved!" he heard Starfire's voice come through on the communicator. He picked his up from his belt.

"Terra," Beast Boy said confidently, arms crossed over his chest. Robin nodded.

"And Raven. Working together."

Raven and Terra were walking together in the hallway to the Tower, talking lightly amongst each other. Terra looked over to her.

"So, friends?" she asked hopefully. Raven allowed a small and rare smile.

"Close enough."

"Sorry we got off to a rocky start."

"Actually, I thought things went pretty well. It took me a year to stop hating Beast Boy," she commented as they stopped in front of a door, laughing lightly before opening it. Terra peered in as Raven walked ahead, curious.

"Where are we…?"

Raven stood in front of the light switch, flicking it on. "Your room."

"SURPRISE!" The rest of the team cheered, gathered around in the desert theme room. Terra's eyes widened, taken aback.

"You guys did all this for me?"

"Yeah, since you did help save our home and all. You deserve your own room," Beast Boy said nonchalantly, playfully raising his eyebrows at her. Robin pulled a communicator out of his belt.

"And you also deserve one of these." Terra's eyes widened.

"So I'm a – "

"Teen Titan. Welcome to the team," Robin finished, smiling warmly. Everyone else gathered around, giving their congratulations and praise, happy to have a new member and friend. Raven finally approached the group again and smiled as well.

"Congratulations Terra, you earned it."

"And now to commemorate such an occasion, it's time for waffles!" Cyborg called out, him and the rest of the team making their way towards the door. Terra looked after them with a small smile and clutched the communicator to her chest, trailing behind.

"They trust me… they actually trust me," she whispered.

"You seemed extra happy tonight," Robin called across the rooftop to the meditating girl. She opened her eyes and glanced to the side when he was next to her. She shrugged, a small smile returning.

"I had my hesitations, but… it's nice, having her around. Having a new friend…"

Robin nodded, looking at her levitating figure. "You're a lot more open now these days, Raven…" he commented, smirking, "I'm glad."

"Don't expect little miss sunshine all the time, Boy Blunder," she remarked back, before shutting her eyes and inhaling calmly. His smile grinned as he lightly took her hand nearest to him and placed a small kiss on the back of it playfully before walking away. Raven's eyes flew open but she didn't turn around to look back at him.

"In time, I suppose," he whispered over his shoulder before disappearing back through the door and off the roof. Raven's cheeks slightly reddened at his action and she could barely keep herself levitating properly, feelings bubbling over inside of her. So perhaps their small first kiss a few weeks ago hadn't been odd for him, hadn't been wrong of her. The thought and memory of it made her insides swell and she landed slowly on her feet once more, unable to concentrate anymore. She wouldn't want things any other way.
