A lot of wandering and hopping about and certainly a lot of deaths.
Tiaanamaat! She was on the asteroid Tiaanamaat which was part of the Akhaten System and it looked very familiar. Not only that but she could sense that it was 5198 in the 52nd Century. When Jaime arrived on Aridius after stepping through the Fire Portal she had no idea what year it was. She just knew it was a planet that the Doctor had previously visited. And so she spent a whole week on the dusty planet training herself in a bid to get all her known abilities under some sort of control, sometimes using the locals as target practice while 'scavenging from them. By the end of that week the teenager had managed to do more than she normally could, surprising herself when she realised what the year it was on Aridius. Now she could turn her Psychic Shield on and off with ease. Then there was her natural Perception filter the Doctor once called an Unnoticeability. It had been harder to control but once she managed it she could walk through a settlement without being noticed. Not only that but she could now Telekinetically fly and hover, walk through walls with ease. And with running she could use a combination of Aerokinesis and Pyrokinesis to make her go faster. She could still glide but could now do it with fire as well as air. As for jumping she was able to time them perfectly so that she would land on her feet every time. By the end of the week she only had a dozen or so painkillers left, the headaches and the nose bleeding becoming worrisome. Then she panicked because she could feel something coming even before it was seen. So she quickly connected to a nearby TARDIS and Teleported into it.
The console room was big and gadgety and the console was pale green in colour and the Time Rotor was still, which meant this TARDIS was not currently in flight. Jaime had never seen this style of console room before and she wondered if it was a future Doctor until she felt an inquiring from the Time Machine. Raising her Shield and turning on the Perception filter the teen walked out through the door without even opening it. A single clang of the Cloister Bell was heard and it was then that Jaime realised she was on the Asteroid Bazaar of Tiaanamaat in the Akhaten System.
Leaning against the TARDIS with a smirk Jaime spotted the blue glowing fruit and discreetly floated one over, grabbing it. The thing was heavy and it smelled...well it smelled quite fantastic. She remembered in the episode that Clara hadn't liked the taste of it. She took a bite from it and it did have an unusual taste. However it was better than what she'd been eating the whole week on Aridius. Suddenly feeling very hungry the teenager began to snaffle at it until it was empty. She was about to float another one over until she heard an excited voice of a girl.
"Grandfather! Grandfather!" The girl with short dark hair and what looked like traditional looking clothes ran past, stopped and frowned, then continued on to her Grandfather who was stood next to the Hoverbikes 'talking' to a dog-like creature. "Grandfather, look what I got for you!" She said. Her Grandfather turned to her and Jaime gasped in surprise when she recognised him. It was the very first Doctor, played by William Hartnell in her Universe, and his Grand-daughter, Arkytior. "What is it my dear Arkytior?" The Doctor replied. He wasn't calling her 'Susan' which meant they were yet to go to Earth. "I got you this," and she handed him a book. "It's a 500 Year Diary." She told him. The Doctor smiled at this. "Ah, thank you my dear. It's just what I needed." And he put the diary in his pocket before turning back to the dog alien thing. Didn't the Eleventh Doctor call her Doreen? Jaime giggled before pulling back her arm and throwing the empty core of the glowing blue fruit. Her aim was dead on and it hit the Doctor on the back of his head.
The old looking Time Lord yelled out in surprise. "Grandfather!" Arkytior panicked, holding him steady. "What was that?" He said before spotting the empty fruit core on the floor. "Who did that?" He demanded. Doreen the dog alien barked and pointed at the fruit stall. The alien fruit seller noticed and growled back defensively. In return Doreen barked back and the Doctor tried to calm them down. "Oops!" Jaime giggled mischievously at the scene. She really hadn't meant to cause a fight and she really didn't know why she threw the fruit core at the Doctor. "Come along, child. It's almost time for the Ceremony." He said and they walked away, presumably off to the arena or whatever it was. Jaime gasped, realising it was the Festival of Offerings. She decided to follow the Doctor and Arkytior. Only when she happened to look back at the TARDIS she got a surprise. It wasn't a blue police box but it was disguised as a part of the Asteroid. That meant her Chameleon Circuit was still working and she was yet to get stuck as a police box. "Amazing!" Jaime breathed in awe before chasing after Arkytior and her Grandfather.
They were already seated and there were no seats left so she just stayed by the entrance, hidden in plain sight. The Queen of Years came walking in with her guards and they gently persuaded her to take her place. She was twelve years old just like Merry. But unlike Merry, this girl was not nervous. Head held high the girl began to sing 'The Long Song' while the viewers in the arena gave gifts to appease the Old God. Closing her eyes Jaime sunk to the floor as she listened to the hauntingly familiar song. There was no bad feeling coming from this ceremony and all she could sense was that what would happen next was supposed to happen. So why would Clara and the Eleventh Doctor attempt to stop it twelve years later? Once the Long Song finished they all watched as the Queen of Years was caught in a beam and pulled towards the Pyramid. Resigned to her fate she didn't struggle and she stayed perfectly still.
Getting back to her feet and wiping her eyes Jaime stared at the sentient planet. It was forever hungry and fed on memories and it would take a real hero to end that thing. But there were no heroes here. The first to leave was the Doctor and Arkytior, for his grand-daughter was kicking up a fuss. "But Grandfather, it's barbaric!" She was saying. "She's going to be eaten." "It's a tradition of the Offerings," the Doctor replied. "We can't interfere on the Ceremony." He looked back at the giant sentient planet with a frown. "At least not yet anyway!" "What do you mean?" Arkytior asked. He was about to answer this when he suddenly smelled a random pocket of Artron energy emission. It wasn't another TARDIS but he could see something shimmering against the wall. "Who's there? Who is it? Show yourself!" Jaime held her breath, eyes wide. "What is it?" Arkytior panicked. "Smells like another Time Lord." He said and her eyes widened. "Oh! I thought I smelled the same earlier, outside the TARDIS." She said. "Show yourself!" The Doctor now demanded and he was becoming threatening with his walking stick. "You won't take us back, you hear me, you won't!"
"It's nothing but your imagination so move on!" A voice suddenly spoke up, echoing, and they blinked in confusion before turning and walking away. Jaime sighed in relief. That had been a close call but she had to wonder what that was about. She knew that travelling in the TARDIS gave the person background radiation. But what she didn't know was why the Doctor and Arkytior left Gallifrey in the first place. "Close call!" She mumbled, stepped away from the wall, opened up a Fire Portal and jumped in.
When the Doctor realised he'd been Mind Manipulated he returned to the arena entrance. Only to find the walls and floor scorched black and several aliens chattering away, sounding frightened. "How unusual!" He uttered. "Yes, very unusual indeed." He returned back to the TARDIS still non the wiser.
It was 1912 and she was on a ship. Not just any ship but the Titanic of all things. Seriously! When Jaime opened the Fire Portal she had no idea where the other end would open up to. It just seemed completely random. And this was random at best. The Fire Portal had opened up a few decks below, so she had to get on top deck because she was getting a really bad feeling and all her senses were telling her the iceberg collision was imminent. Hurrying through the corridors and even walking straight through locked gates Jaime noticed no-one was staring at her. Which meant her Unnoticeability was still up. And she was fine with that because she really didn't want people staring at her 'strange clothes'. Nor did she want to get arrested for not having a ticket. That would be rather disastrous. And even though she was rushing she was still able to get a look at things like the ball room. Everything was so old timey and she giggled a little madly. She was on the Titanic, the actual Titanic in the middle of the Atlantic about to hit an iceberg. She once again giggled and shook her head, not noticing one of the passengers she passed by becoming panicked.
Then she ran out of the room, through a door and out onto the deck where she was hit by a blast of very cold air. "Brrrr!" Jaime started to shiver and folded her arms. Even with a hoodie, jumper, t-shirt and cargo pants she still felt very cold. And she hissed in pain when that coldness seeped into her shoulder injury. No wonder Leonardo turned into a Jack-icicle. The very thought made her giggle as she headed to the front of the deck. In some sort of morbid way she really wanted to see it actually happen. And she wasn't sure why!
Now she was at the front of the ship staring into the murky darkness of night, teeth chattering from the cold. Instinct told her it was close and she really wanted to use her Telekinesis to blast it into bits, but all her senses told her it had to happen. Soon she got a bit distracted and looked up at the clear night sky. The stars were bright and shining and she could see all the shapes and patterns they were making. "Wow!" She uttered, her breath coming out in a cold cloud. Then she spotted the Milky Way and it looked so prominent. She wondered which Star in that Milky mess was Gemini. "Iceberg, Iceberg!" One of the ships crew was heard to shout from the observation nest. Well that was different, it was certainly no 'iceberg, right ahead' like in the movie. And when she looked ahead Jaime could see it looming out of the darkness and...holy cow! It was huge! Bigger than it was in the movie. No wonder the damn ship sunk! She could feel the ship moving to the side, struggling to avoid the giant white ice monster. Unlike the movie the iceberg didn't barely scrape against the side of the ship. There was a loud crunch, magnified in the night and it rocked slightly, causing Jaime to fall to the deck and yell out in surprise, chunks of ice falling to the deck and hitting her.
She yelped when a big one hit her hip. She watched through watery eyes as the giant white ice monster crunched past until it disappeared behind the crew quarters and then the ship righted itself. The whole thing lasted thirty seconds unlike in the movie where it seemed to last longer. The teen slowly and painfully scrambled back to her feet, wincing as she rubbed her right side hip. At least it wasn't broken but it would come out in a huge bruise.
"Woah, I can't believe I just witnessed that!" Spoke a familiar London accented voice. "Yeah, it'll not be long now." Spoke another voice that sounded sad. "Hey! Who the hell are you?" The first voice asked, surprised. Jaime realised the owner of that voice was staring at her. The Perception filter must have slipped during the collision. "You're not from this time!" Eyes wide she stared at Ace, unsure on what to do next. "Who are you?" The other female asked. Jaime's gaze shifted to her and she stared intently, reading her mind. Her name...her name was...Birn...Bernie...Bernice! Bernice Summer...Summerfield! And she...travels with the Doctor! Oh, that meant the Doctor was here too! But the bigger question was on her mind...who the hell was Bernice Summerfield and when did she start travelling with the Doctor? "Professor! Professor!" Ace started to shout. "What is it Ace?" The Seventh Doctor came running up. "Don't shout, it's unladylike. Especially on the Titanic." He looked at Ace who was looking at...a familiar looking girl with long brown hair and ruffled dirty clothes he'd last seen in his Fifth regeneration. "Jaime? What are you doing here?" He asked. "Where's John?" "Weeping Angels!" She croaked a lie and ran away from them...well, more like limped. "Who was that? Should we go after her?" Ace asked the Doctor but he shook his head. "Probably not. She's just someone from my future."
Jaime had managed to hide herself again and she really wished she could go some place that didn't have a Doctor. An hour and a half later Jaime was panicking because she could feel everyone else panicking and scared while scrambling for the life boats. It was mayhem and she tried her best to stay out of their way but she couldn't do it, she couldn't watch them all hurt each other. She somehow managed to calm them all down so that they were patient while getting into into the life boats. The worst thing about this though is that she could feel everyone trapped in the lower decks dying, drowning in the cold water and it felt painful. So many were dying and she couldn't do a thing about it. The Doctor had left long ago with his companions which just left her alone. By the time she got to the very top deck where the string band were she was wet, cold and scared. So very scared. Perhaps staying on the Titanic while it was sinking wasn't such a good idea...but she wasn't really thinking. Hadn't been since leaving what was left of planet Fiction. "Good Lord, girl! Are you wearing trousers?" One of the string band asked her. Great! People could see her again. "Yes." She said. "I am." She could hear a great creaking, cracking noise. "I'm sorry," she croaked. "I gotta go!" And she Teleported away right in front of them.
Jaime re-appeared in a harbour on the island of Manhattan and she noticed a harbour guard staring at her with wide eyes. Oh for the love of sanity! "You better call the Coast Guard," she croaked to him. "The Titanic just sunk!" And this time she Pyroported away.
In the TARDIS the Doctor was watching the monitor, keeping an eye out for strange things. They thought they might have found her on Aridius but the signal died pretty quickly. So they were still searching. And he was beginning to worry about his foster-daughter because if she was using Pyrokinesis then her wall had broken down letting that IED related anger out. And that was never a good thing. "Doctor!" He heard Rose shout. "Doctor!" The blonde came running in with a newspaper and placed it in front of him. It was a New York Times article on the sinking of the Titanic. "Look what I found." He frowned. "Yes, it's an article about the Titanic. Where'd you get it from?" "I found it in the library," Rose replied. "But look closer!" She pointed at the smaller article next to the bigger one. The Doctor put his glasses on and picked up the newspaper.
"Titanic sinking was predicted," he read, getting a sinking feeling...no pun intended! "A Mr James T Ross, harbour guard of New York Harbour was told the Titanic had sunk hours before it was reported. Describing the 'angel' as short with brown hair and wearing funny looking clothing, she told him to 'call the Coastguard because the Titanic just sunk' before combusting in a twirl of fire..." The Doctor groaned and put the newspaper down. "Jaime, what are you doing?" "What does it mean? Combusting in a twirl of fire?" Rose asked, thinking of Carmen's prediction. "She Pyroported," the Doctor replied, staring at the Titanic article. "Another form of Teleportation." "Like Aeroportation?" "Yes." He frowned at the article, sensing something wrong. "Wait a minute! That's not right." He said. "It says here 1,789 died on the Titanic." "Yeah, that's how many died." "No, Rose. You don't understand. 1,789 passengers didn't die. 1,635 passengers died. Somehow the number has risen. It's over a hundred more than it should be."
Rose looked shocked. "So how can you remember but I can't?" "Because I was there...and I remember. I remember Ace shouting for me and I thought she was in trouble but I saw her...Jaime was on the Titanic!" "Seriously?" "Yeah. Standing there with wide eyes, chunks of ice at her feet. I asked her what she was doing there and all she said was 'Weeping Angels' before running away. Actually she more like limped away. At some point she must have been injured." He looked worried. "If she was still on there while it was still sinking she could have ended up unintentionally causing over a hundred more to die." He groaned again and shook his head. "This is worse than I thought. It might just cause a Domino Effect." "So what now?" Even Rose sounded worried. "She won't be in New York." The Doctor replied. "We just need to be one step ahead of her."
Oops! She had really wanted to go jumping off the Empire State Building but ended up in 1930's New York. Only it wasn't fully built yet and now she had a cold. What was worse about this was that she was in a tent in Hooverville and she could hear the Doctor outside with Martha and Solomon. Why oh why couldn't she go someplace without the Doctor being there! She really had to get out of here. Jaime sat up and concentrated very hard.
Outside, Solomon was talking to the Doctor. "She was found in the park by one of our lookouts suffering from a fever. She didn't say much except to mumble that she was on a sinking ship in the middle of the Atlantic." The Doctor chuckled at this. "Oh, I know the feeling." "Sounds like she's delirious." Martha spoke up. "Obviously!" Solomon grinned. "Anyway she sounds English like you two and she's wearing some odd clothes like you." He nodded at Martha and the Doctor raised a brow. Both he and Martha looked surprised.
Suddenly the nearby tent they were stood at glowed orange followed by a whoosh. "What the..." The Doctor got to the tent first and opened the flap, smoke pouring out. After wafting it away he managed to look inside. Martha joined him. "Oh my god! What happened?" She was stunned. The whole inside of the tent was scorched black. "Did she combust?" Solomon asked. "I read that it happened once in 1912." "Hmm, looks like it." The Doctor replied, though he was suspicious. He could smell faint traces of Artron energy.
In Torchwood, Cardiff John David Smith was busy working on a computer. Jack had given him lots of work to do to keep him distracted from thinking about Jaime too much. It had been a week and a half and the Doctor had still not returned with Jaime. How can one person remain missing for such a long time? He heard somebody sneeze. "Bless you!" He muttered, not thinking. Again he heard somebody sneeze and looked up as Gwen passed him. "Don't tell me you have a cold, not in your condition!" Gwen just looked at him, confused. "What?" "You sneezed. You can't have a cold while you're pregnant." Only Gwen laughed. "I didn't sneeze. And I don't have a cold." "Well...it must have been Martha."
For a third time he heard somebody sneeze. John stood up. "Martha!" He shouted and Martha came up from the Autopsy/Medical wing. "Yes Doctor?" "Were you sneezing just now?" "No. Why do you ask?" But he didn't answer because he was staring at the break room sofa. "Doctor?" "She's over there!" He said, eyes wide. "Who is?" Gwen asked. "Jaime, she's lying on the sofa." But when Gwen and Martha looked at the sofa they couldn't see anything. "I'm sorry to say this but...I can't see her." Gwen said and Martha agreed.
"No, I expect you wouldn't. She's Projecting. Astral Projecting." "And only you can see her?" Martha asked. "It appears so." He sighed and looked sad. "She's got a cold, poor girl." Sure enough John could see her lying on the sofa, shivering with her arms folded, only she looked like a ghost, flickering. He approached the teenager. "Jaime, Jaime? Can you tell me where you are?" The Half-Time Lord urged. She didn't appear to be listening and she had her eyes closed. "Come on, darling. We need to rescue you. Please tell me!" Jaime opened her eyes and seconds later disappeared. John sighed and shook his head before sitting down. "Did she say anything?" Martha asked, watching as John shook his head again. His expression reminded her of when she first started travelling with the Doctor. She and Gwen sat with him.
It was the 51st Century, sometime around 5028 and she was in a holding cell. Jaime barely remembered much from the last 24 hours considering she'd had a fever. She thought she'd even seen J.D at one point but just put it down to the fever making her see things. As for the cell? Well this was interesting. The Fire Portal had dropped her into a building. And not just any building but the Time Agency building. Distantly she wondered if it was before or after Jack had his memories wiped, but her real thoughts were on who had tended to her fever? Or did she self recover?
Now that she was feeling fine she could just escape at any time. But she didn't want to. She wanted to see what they thought about her. When she stood up it didn't take long for a Time Agent to appear at the bars. "Up and about I see!" The young Time Agent spoke up. "Will you be telling us how you got here?" She was silent, staring at him intently and getting as much info as she could. "Okay. You keep quiet if you want but we have ways of making you talk!" Jaime raised her brows and a light warm breeze played at her hair. Oh, tortured people did they? A smirk came to her mouth. Well, she was going to have fun here.
"Why don't you come in here?" Jaime asked, voice echoing. He blinked and looked confused before opening the door. She would have thought they would've been trained against Mind Control, but perhaps this one was young he could easily be caught out. What she said next to the young man would most likely embarrass him and Jaime watched as he pulled his trousers and underwear down before sitting down. The teen laughed quite meanly as she left the cell, locking the door Telekinetically, then raising her Psychic Shield and Unnoticeability. The boy was really quite flexible!
Remaining hidden in plain sight she walked through the corridors, observing what the Time Agents were doing, even going into certain rooms and not liking it one bit. Suddenly an alarm went off and every Time Agent in the building was put on alert. Apparently a prisoner had escaped!
Jaime walked into a canteen and revealed herself, freaking out several of the Agents who were hanging out there. Suddenly she found a lot of guns pointed at her and she really didn't like the guns. With a twisted smirk the teen used her Telekinesis to blow up the guns, injuring several Agents in the process. Now she laughed in an odd insane way before igniting her Pyrokinesis and staring evilly at the Agents. "Hah!" She shouted, beginning her attack by throwing fire balls everywhere.
Her attack lasted a whirlwind five minutes and it ended when she caused a huge Psionic Explosion, destroying half the building. After the attack Jaime stood in the midst of the explosion looking very confused. She had one hell of a painful headache, her nose was bleeding and she was unsure what just happened. Quickly connecting to a TARDIS out of fright the teenager Teleported away...
...And hurriedly exited out of the door into an alley, hitting a wall and cracking it in the process before falling to the ground. Her head still hurt and she cried, still frightened. Those five minutes had all been a blur, the anger taking over. It was just so wrong yet it felt so right. Reaching a shaky hand into her pocket she pulled out her painkillers and took one. The headache died away and her nose stopped dripping blood. Feeling better Jaime scrambled back to her feet after wiping her nose and sauntered off down the alleyway and into a street. There was something unusual going on, a bad feeling making her jumpy, senses going into overdrive. And when she looked at the empty street, no lights and most of the houses boarded up she realised what it was. "Oh! It's World War II." She mumbled. "Bombs everywhere."
"Are you my Mummy?" A child's voice suddenly spoke up behind her and her heart skipped a beat, eyes wide. Oh no! No! Turning around she saw the gas mask boy from the two most scariest episodes of Series one. The empty child. And he was stood there in the street looking at her. "Mummy! Mummy! Mummy?" And he walked towards her. 'No!' "Get away from me you little shit!" She said and knocked him back with a Telekinetic Blast where he went tumbling across the ground. If it was anybody else they would have stayed down, but this was a zombie gas mask kid. He just got back up. "Are you my Mummy?" He asked again. "Mummy?"
Totally creeped out because she could feel no feelings or emotions from him or even be able to read him, she turned and ran away from him. However not only was he a zombie with strength like hers but he could move fast too. Jaime suddenly found the boy in front of her. "Woah!" That never happened in the episode. "Mummy!" He said and was about to grab her. Luckily she Teleported away from him and re-appeared a couple of streets away, bringing up her Perception filter. She didn't want the creepy zombie kid following her.
As she walked around feeling hungry and doing her best to avoid the Doctor, Rose and Jack in the train yard, the air raid siren went off again. Oh, the German Bombers were back. Well, she'd soon sort them out! Taking Telekinetic Flight Jaime used her body as a weapon, smashing through canopy's of German bomb planes one by one, making sure they didn't fall on any houses.
Soon the gas mask zombies were normal humans again and the Doctor and Rose left 1940's London. Jaime stayed though, using the Unnoticeability to take food without being noticed. With her hood pulled up over her head Jaime continued to use her Telekinetic Flight and Strength to smash the enemy planes to pieces. Sometimes she would sit above the pilots cockpit and laugh gleefully as the German pilot panicked, radioing to his control about a person sitting on his plane. What fun! She moved on when she felt an odd chill spread through her and the weird singing returned.
In Torchwood, Cardiff John came storming into Jack's office. "Jack! What's this?" John angrily threw the folder down onto the desk. It had been over a week since Jaime Projected to him and he'd still not heard anything from the Doctor and Rose. Jack picked up the folder and read the note on the front. "The Black Bullet." He said and laughed. "Oh yeah, I remember this. Caused a bit of a storm in the Government at the time. Apparently Churchill's secret weapon. It was nice enough to crash the planes safely, only no-one knew if it was alien or something cooked up by the Government. Torchwood One tried to capture it several times but it was apparently very wily."
John groaned though. "The Black Bullet? Do you not realise who that is?" Jack looked at him blankly. "The description of the clothes SHE is wearing. She was wearing those clothes the day she was taken from here." "What?" Jack looked down at the folder. "Are you telling me this is..." "Jaime? Yes! Which means she isn't being held or used by the Trickster and she's wandering around on her own!" Somehow that seemed worse than being used by the Trickster. John groaned in frustration and took his mobile from his pocket, phoning the Doctor. The phone just kept ringing on the other end.
It was the 63rd Century and the year was 6202. Jaime had left Earth via Fire Portal and found herself in a forest of some sort. And it didn't feel like Earth. It felt like another planet. But the sad thing about it, after a short walk through the grassy forest she found the TARDIS. Which meant a Doctor was here. And she really wanted to run away but she got the weird urge to approach her, sensing her worry. So she did. "What is it?" Jaime asked and put her hands on the door, closing her eyes. "Ah!" Turns out the TARDIS was here because the Doctor had followed a signal to the planet expecting to find Jaime. Only they'd arrived far too early and now they were in trouble. "I'm not here to rescue anybody!" She told the TARDIS. "What planet is this anyway?" She was told it was Siren. What an odd name! All she was thinking about was police car sirens. "Well, I wonder what Siren has to offer."
Jaime turned away and continued walking through the grassy forests, but soon got distracted by some very overwhelmed emotions. Almost like they were overloaded with...pleasure? And those emotions got more prominent. The teen stopped suddenly, senses on alert when five pale green alien women with bright red hair stood in her way. "You look lost and hungry." One of them said and held out what looked to be a peach, only it had a glowing gold hue to it. And she could smell it from where she was stood, tantalising. Yes, she was hungry. Starving even. Despite all her senses telling her this was bad, very bad, she stared at the fruit and walked towards it. The alien women walked backwards so that Jaime was following them, her eyes remaining on the fruit. They were luring her to their hive and she could feel their emotions along with dozens of other emotions and she wasn't sure why she could feel passion. It wasn't a happy passion, more like an artificial passion.
The alien women stopped and all five surrounded her. One of them stood in front of her, leaned in and, while putting her hands on Jaime's shoulders, kissed her on the lips passionately. Forgetting what her senses were saying the teen kissed back, surprising herself. In all her young life she had never been kissed and she liked it, really liked it despite her instincts telling her it was wrong...all wrong! Then suddenly she felt one of their hands on a place they shouldn't be putting and now she followed both instincts and senses. This was wrong. Wrong, wrong, wrong! Jaime roughly pushed the alien woman from her, angry at being violated in such a way, then smacked the alien Telekinetically. The five alien women also became angry and before she knew it they'd shot tree-like vines out of their hands and had her well and truly tied up. Hmm! It was interesting...sort of! She wasn't sure what the hell was going on. But it appeared these aliens were also plant-like. One of the alien women held up the glowing fruit to her but she no longer felt hungry. "Eat!" The alien woman told her but Jaime refused. "Eat it. You must be hungry!" One of them smacked her in the face with their vine and Jaime snarled.
"I think you may have underestimated me!" She said. Turning on her fire she burned the vines holding her and the five alien women screamed in pain. Their vines loosened and returned to their body's. meanwhile Jaime Pyroported so she wasn't stuck in the middle of them. Then with a twisted giggle Jaime slammed her fists together which caused a very powerful Shockwave that spread out through the forest. Now the alien women put their hands on their head, still screaming in pain. Jaime was now laughing manically and continued to slam her fists together, watching as the Shockwaves spread out, and gleefully watched the alien women scream in pain. When she was sure they had enough the teen caught one and brutally forced her way into the alien's mind...
...The alien woman, she was a Siren. Sirens of the planet Siren. How odd. The fruit, the glowing fruit. It was an Aphrodae, a very strong Aphrodisiac fruit that was addictively sweet and when eaten would cause some very strong sexual fantasy's which would lead the victim to crave sex or stimulation. The Sirens would capture their victim and either feed them the fruit willingly or force them to eat the fruit and once...
Her mind couldn't take anymore and they both collapsed to the ground, one unconscious, the other dead. Through sheer willpower Jaime opened her eyes and slowly struggled to her feet. Her head hurt so much and her nose bled. But that didn't matter because she was angry. Very angry. These alien bitches were sexual deviants and she was going to teach them a lesson. She called on a storm, one of the fiercest storms yet which got the four remaining Sirens cowering before her, begging for their lives. She struck them all dead with lightning then set fire to their hive with the same thing.
Once it was over the smell of electricity hung in the air and Jaime sat on the grass, crying. She wasn't sure what was happening to her or why she even kept doing it, just that her mind thought it was the right thing to do. After taking a couple of painkillers and wiping her nose of the blood she was about to leave when she realised she could still feel those other emotions. Curious, she stretched her mind out to one of them and then looked up at the trees in surprise. There were dozens of green things hanging down. "How did they get them up there?" She wondered aloud.
Using Telekinesis Jaime hovered up to one of the green things. Turned out they were vines covering their victim from head to toe and the only thing visible was their eyes and nostrils. But...this one was dead. She could tell by looking at his eyes that they were dull and lifeless. With a sad sigh she cut the top of the vine Telekinetically where it spurted green, white and red. The rest of the 'pod' came tumbling down to the forest floor, landing with a thud. Jaime grimaced. "Sorry!" She mumbled.
Hovering to the next one she saw that this one was alive. Only she didn't seem very aware. Almost like she was being... Jaime looked down at the 'pod' and gasped. "Oh my god!" She uttered in realisation. This was horrific, truly horrific. She cut the vine, growling angrily when it spurted green and white. Using Telekinetic grip Jaime gently eased the woman and the pod back to the ground, doing her best to ignore the growing headache. She flitted from 'pod' to 'pod', cutting them down and rescuing the victims. Several times she came across a dead one and it only got more upsetting. Especially with that dried up one.
When she got to the fourteenth pod Jaime hovered back in surprise. Those brown eyes looked very familiar. It was the Doctor! Despite them looking rather glazed over they were aware and they were following her movements. Now she heard muffled words behind those vines. At first Jaime giggled until it turned into a full on mad laughter, which distracted her and she fell to the ground. Luckily she caught herself and hovered back up, still chuckling. "How did the almighty Time Lord get caught out by a couple of Sirens?" She laughed again quite madly. "I should leave you up here." Her mind wanted her to do that but instinct told her to rescue him. The Doctor was heard to mumble furiously until his eyes widened when Jaime turned her fire on, looking threateningly scary. "Why didn't you tell me?" She growled angrily. "Why didn't any of you tell me?" Instead of cutting the vine Jaime set it alight so it would burn through and the pod would drop. There was an odd squeal from somewhere further in the trees. Ignoring it she moved onto the next pod and found Rose there. She set this vine alight as well. After cutting own the last four pods Jaime conjured a Fire Portal in mid-air and zoomed through it without a second thought about the Doctor.
Jaime Teleported into a greyish white console room of a TARDIS, complete panic on her face, hazel eyes wide and harsh shaky breaths. That wasn't the only thing though, her face was scratched and most of her clothes torn. She fell to the floor, sobbing. When jumping through Portals she didn't know where she would end up. It was to her total surprise she found herself in the Year That Never Was, millions of Toclafane flying everywhere, a really bad feeling overpowering all her senses and far too many hateful emotions to keep count. It was painful. A whole world frightened to its core. When she tried a quick escape all she could find was the Paradox Machine TARDIS and nothing else. Connecting to that had certainly been painful too. Unable to disconnect from the Paradox Machine things just got worse from there when she was spotted by a group of Toclafane. They attacked her but she fought back as best she could before Teleporting...and ended up inside the Paradox Machine. It was even worse and even more painful than she imagined. Conjuring another Fire Portal Jaime jumped into it. But what was at the other end was the stuff of nightmares. Utopia! Just how Lucy and the Master described it. Quickly finding a TARDIS she Teleported into it and here she was sitting on the floor of the TARDIS, crying after witnessing the worst of the Universe.
She felt the TARDIS try to comfort her, meanwhile the TARDIS was quite intrigued by the strange future companion. The door opened and a panicked Jaime scrambled under the console, turning on her Perception filter. It was the Fifth Doctor and he came in carrying Peri. He dumped her on the floor before giving her some white fluid from a vial. He had just enough time to send the TARDIS into the Vortex before collapsing to the floor. Jaime noticed he looked a mess and realised she'd seen this episode before. 'The Caves of Androzani'. The Doctor was going to regenerate.
"Is this death?" Jaime heard him say while Peri began to stir. The American looked around, confused and went to the Doctor's aid. "Doctor, what's happened?" Peri asked and he muttered on about Professor Jackij and bats milk. "Where is it?" She asked him. "Where's what?" Came the confused reply. "The bats milk!" Peri sounded frustrated. "Finished." The Doctor lamented. "Only enough for you." "There must be something I can do. Tell me!" "Too late, Peri. Going. Time to say goodbye."
Jaime wiped her eyes, continuing to watch the scene before her. That was so typical Doctor, sacrificing himself to save a companion. It wouldn't be a first either! "Don't give up," Peri continued to panic. "You can't leave me now!" Jaime narrowed her eyes when she could feel an adoration from Peri. Oh! She fell for him, hard. Talk about awkward! "I might regenerate. I don't know." He said as Peri scooted away from him and began to sob. "Feels different this time." Of course it was going to feel different, he had Spectrox poisoning.
Watching very closely Jaime noticed a faint goldish glowing that wasn't highlighted in the episode. "Adric?" The Doctor suddenly muttered. Oh yeah, and he had different companions and the Master spinning around his head. The Doctor grimaced and the goldish glowing intensified into a bright white. When the bright white died down and the goldish glowing settled down there lay a different man, all curly blonde hair and green eyes. Suddenly he sat up, looking around with a smug expression. "Doctor?" Peri asked, stunned. She was understandably frightened. "You were expecting someone else?" The Sixth Doctor, known as Colin Baker in Jaime's universe, answered smugly. "I...I...I..." Peri stuttered. "That's three I's in one breath. Makes you sound a rather egotistical young lady." "What's happened? The Doctor stared into space and said; "Change, my dear. And it seems not a moment too soon."
Normally that would be the end of the episode but the Doctor was suddenly sniffing the air with a frown and then stood up, inspecting his face. Jaime watched this in amazement until he spoke up again. "And whoever is hiding in my TARDIS they better show themselves this instant." Jaime grimaced and felt confusion from Peri. The Doctor ducked under the console. "I know you're there!" Continuing to grimace Jaime scrambled out from under the console and dropped the Perception filter.
Peri gasped at the sight of the other female's bruised and battered form. "Who are you? What happened?" The Doctor didn't seem too bothered about her appearance and smiled smugly. "Jaime! So nice to see you again!" He looked at the two females and asked; "Well, Peri, Jaime, what do you think!" "It's terrible." Peri replied. "You look okay." Jaime replied and sighed as Peri and the Doctor continued to talk to each other. Of course, now they were in the 'Twin Dilemma' episode, one of the few classics she'd seen and remembered the Doctor going to the wardrobe. She needed a fresh change of clothes and once she was sorted she'd wipe their memories and move on.
It was the year 5 Billion and on Platform One down in the Space Port was a female with dark ginger hair. It was waist length and tied into a plait. She wore a green military jacket, orange and blue shirt, dark olive combat style trousers and sandy coloured boots. It wasn't what she normally wore, just part of the undercover role she'd been in. She was talking to the Face of Boe and they'd been here to watch the Sun expand and blow up the Earth... Well they would have been able to do that had they not been threatened by a talking trampoline. While the Doctor saved the day all she could do was stand back and observe as the events played out.
"So, I take it you just didn't call me to this universe to watch Earth blow up." Dyna spoke up, her accent a mix of Gallifreyan, North-East English and American, "I kinda saw the same thing happen in my universe." "Yes," the Face of Boe spoke up in her mind. "Can you feel it?" The blue eyed human hybrid Time Lady frowned and closed her eyes, shivering second later. Gasping she opened her eyes and stared at Boe. "That's a Paradox. I've felt one of those before, but this one is..." "Faint? Yes. For now. But it's only going to get more prominent, stronger." Boe replied. "Well, can't the Doctor do anything about it? This is his universe after all." "He can't. Because he is part of the Paradox."
Dyna cocked her head and then crouched in front of Boe, a very serious expression on her face. "What's the Doctor done then? Because I'm pretty sure the last time I saw them they were doing okay." "The Doctor didn't do anything." Dyna groaned and stood up, pacing a little. "Right. There's a Paradox that involves the Doctor but doesn't involve the Doctor? For Rassilon's sake, Jack! You're not making much sense!" Boe smiled at this. It seemed even Time Ladies have short tempers.
He was about to answer when they heard the creak of a door opening and they looked across the Space Port at the blue police box. This Universe's Doctor's TARDIS. Out stepped a familiar brown haired girl who looked around curiously. To her surprise Dyna noticed she was wearing Chameleon Clothes. They were often worn by Time Lords/Ladies in the Celestial Intervention Agency when out in the field. So why was she wearing them? "That's Jaime!" Dyna hissed, following the teenagers movements until she disappeared in a blink of an eye. She looked back at Boe. "What's she doing here? Shouldn't she be with the Doctor, Wolf and J.D?" "Yes, she should be." The Face of Boe sounded sad in her mind. "But something happened. She was taken from Torchwood by a Hydra..." Dyna growled. "Tell me they didn't take her to Volag Noc or the Shadow Proclamation?" But the Face of Boe shook his head. "The Hydra are different in this Universe. They work for the Trickster." "Oh no!" "They took her to him but she must have escaped. We never did see her again."
The Time Lady Hybrid raised her brows. "What do you mean 'never saw her again'? She was with the Doctor and Co when I last..." Dyna gasped, eyes wide. "Dear Rassilon!" She stared at Boe. "Are you telling me Jaime is the Paradox?" Boe smiled grimly. "Oh bloody hell," Dyna groaned. "This is such a mess. Do you think the Trickster could have done this? Caused a Paradox around her?" "It's possible. That's why I asked you here, to this universe for your help." Dyna laughed and paced. "You've got my help alright. I think I might be able to track her." The Doctor tried the same thing..." "Yes. And came up with nowt. The Doctor's TARDIS is a TT MK 40. Mine is a TT MK 2000. He's got a Sports Car. I've got a Speedster." She heard the Face of Boe laugh in her mind, reminded of a similar conversation he once had.
"What will you do?" He asked. "Jaime can connect and Teleport into a TARDIS. The Doctor's TARDIS," Dyna replied. "I can make mine mimic a Type 40. She Teleports into it and I can sneak a tracker onto her in some way." "You can do that?" "Indeed!" They watched as Rose and the Doctor walked to the blue police box TARDIS and entered it. Seconds later it dematerialised with a wheezing groan. "She's very reliable she is." The Dynacracker ran to her TARDIS that was disguised as a small Space Cruiser. "Don't worry Jack, I've got it all in hand." And she opened the door, stepping inside. "Good luck, Delta!" Boe said. Her TARDIS even zoomed out of the Space Port like a Cruiser and once it left Platform One it dematerialised with a quiet hum.
