In Torchwood, Cardiff it was 12 hours since the Doctor and Rose had been told to go and wait. It was nearing Midnight and the only people in the hub were Ianto, who was down in the archive, Jack and Rose were feeding Janet, the Doctor, who was sat at a work station with his feet on the table, and J.D who was busy tending to the growing TARDIS coral. He was baby talking to it and the Doctor couldn't help but grin at the way his twin was acting. It was like he was talking to a baby. Technically the coral WAS a baby. A baby TARDIS.

The Doctor stood up and walked over to the other workstation. "How's she doing?" The Time Lord asked noticing John jump at his voice. "Oh! This little baby is doing great. Growing steadily." The Half-Time Lord replied. The TARDIS coral certainly looked bigger than it did a couple of months ago. "Yes, she certainly looks like she's growing up fast." The Doctor commented. "You're doing a good job."

"Thanks!" J.D muttered. Then he suddenly grunted, sat back and dug around in his jacket pocket. "Woah!" He heard the Doctor utter as he also dug around in his own jacket pocket. John pulled out his Psychic Paper and looked at the message. "Co-ordinates." He said. "Yeah, same here!" The Doctor replied. "Doctor!" They looked up at Rose as she came from the cells with Jack. "I think I was just given some co-ordinates in my mind." She said. "What are they?" The Time Lord asked and she reeled off the numbers. "Same here too." He said. "And here." John muttered and his eyes widened. "Jaime! It's got to be."

"That boy did say he would call you once he found Jaime." Rose told them. "Allons-y!" The Time Lord said and they ran to the TARDIS. "Good luck guys!" Jack shouted as the door shut and the time ship dematerialised. He hoped everything worked out well.

In the TARDIS John was practically jumpy as he rushed around the console pulling levers and flicking switches. The Doctor had put in the co-ordinates but now he was looking at John warily. He was the one most affected by Jaime's disappearance and now he was working feverishly around the console, getting himself in a state. Rose noticed it too but they didn't stop him. The TARDIS soon landed and John was the first one out of the door followed by Rose and the Doctor. It was dusk and they were stood on a Grecian Monument that was bathed in orange floodlights but there was something wrong.

"What's a Greek Monument doing in the middle of the English countryside?" Rose asked. "What's a statue with plane wings doing in the middle of the countryside!" John snapped at the blonde. "Get a bit of perspective, Rose." "Alright, calm down." Rose held her hands up in defence. "Anyway, that's the Angel of the North. Everybody knows what that is!"

"It's a replica of the Temple of Hephaestus in Athens," the Doctor spoke up, ignoring the argument between Rose and J.D. "Officially known as The Earl of Durham's Monument it was built in 1844 and dedicated to John Lambton, 1st Earl of Durham." "Right, interesting bit of history! That means we're in the North of England...where exactly?" Rose asked.

"Somewhere between Houghton and Washington," the Doctor answered her. "Within the city of Sunderland. It gets it's name from the way the river Wear runs through the City..." "Doctor!" Rose groaned. "Split City!" John muttered, staring out towards the dark shadow of the Durham Coalfield. They could hear cars passing on the road below. "But she isn't here!"

"I'm still here," a small nervous voice croaked and there, stood next to the far end column, was Jaime, the floodlights giving her an orange glow. "She said you'd be arriving soon. She didn't say how long it would take!"

"Jaime!" John shouted, ran to her and gathered the girl into a hug. "You have no idea how much I missed you! I lo..." She grunted and went limp in his arms. "Woah! What's wrong?" The Doctor was there, scanning her with his Screwdriver. The results worried him.

"We need to get her inside." He said. John gathered her up in his arms and they all returned to the TARDIS where it disappeared with a noisy Wheeze/groan, leaving the Monument on the hill in silence once again.

The collapse was a brief one and when Jaime woke up again she was lying on one of the beds in the Med-bay. This was like some really bad joke. She'd already spent three days in a Med-bay, now she was in another for who knows how long. She rolled onto her side, curling up and shivered as she listened to the Doctors and Rose discussing what was wrong.

"No, it can't be! The Doctor uttered, staring at the results on the monitor. "She's got a minimal amount of Spider venom in her system. And even though its small its still highly toxic." "So where did she go to get bitten by a Spider?" Rose asked. "Jaime?" A worried sounding John asked...or was it the Doctor? "Are you okay?"

Of course she wasn't 'okay'. Her stomach felt bad and her fingers were tingling again like they had pins and needles. "She's really pale." Then she remembered what Dyna gave her and dug into her pocket, took it out and handed it to John. "What's this?" He asked. "She said it was a Medical File. Said it was modified to work on a Type 40." Jaime croaked. "She? Who's this 'she' you keep referring too?" But Jaime didn't answer him. She closed her eyes so she wouldn't feel like she was going to puke up. John gave the Doctor the Medical File and he plugged it in.

They expected to see something pop up on the monitor. What they didn't expect was a soft light hologram of a female with green eyes and flyaway ginger hair to appear. "Woah! What the..." John uttered.

"This is the Voice Visual Interface of Type 2000, MK 5 TARDIS designated 'Sky'." It said in a monotone voice. "Interaction on." Both Doctors stared. Stunned. "Type 2000?" The Time Lord spoke up. "There are no Type 2000's. it only went up to Type 500." 'Sky' didn't reply. "Doctor, is it me or does she look like that woman we met on...you know where!" Rose enquired and the Doctor frowned, thinking. "You mean the one who was travelling with a parallel me?" "They came from a different universe." John said. The Doctor looked at the interface. "Who is your pilot?" He asked only he didn't get an answer. "Jaime?" He didn't get an answer from the teenager either.

"Fine. Tell me what's wrong with Jaime." He spoke to the Interface. "Cerebral hematoma at 89%. Life expectancy 9 years without abilities, Two-Three years with abilities. Gemini Tree Spores at 0%: infection to the lungs eradicated. Eight Legs toxin eradicated at 95%. 5% remaining. Life expectancy minimal." J.D sucked in a breath, worry and fear washing off him. "I don't like the sound of that." The Doctor muttered. "What are the Eight Legs?" Rose asked. "They're Spiders, from Metabelis 3," the Doctor replied. "They grew to an abnormal size and then because of exposure to Metabelis crystals they developed Psychic abilities. Had a bit of trouble with them once."

Rose pulled a face, not liking the sound of giant Psychic Spiders. "And what's a Gemini Tree?" She asked next. "Rose, that would be those sentient trees on Gemini~9X7. They expel a cloud of mild toxic gas when they feel threatened." "Oh, okay." She remembered the explosion they'd heard when the ground shook. "So she jumped into the middle of a group of trees which caused them to feel threatened and blew Spores at her." The Doctor nodded at this.

"Then she came back to the woods and attacked the younger version of herself." John muttered and looked at Jaime, wondering how she could even do that to herself. She seemed older, different, compared to when he last saw her. And clearly more sicker than ever. The Time Lord grunted at this and turned back to the interface. "Is there any way to remove the 5%?" He asked it, "Telekinetic Self Healing," The Interface replied. "Life expectancy: six years." "What if she's too sick to fight it?" J.D asked the interface. At first it didn't say anything but it seemed to be calculating. "Life expectancy minimal." It said. "Yes, but for how long?" John shouted at it, losing patience with the Interface and sensing heightened fear from Jaime.

"One year." The Interface clarified. "One year?" Rose sounded shocked. "What's one year when we've got the TARDIS." John said. The Doctor grimaced, thinking. "Is there anything we can use to get rid of the Spider venom?" He asked. "Medicated Artron." The Interface answered back. "What? There's no such thing." The Interface was silent. "Is there an alternative? Like an anti-venom?" "Telekinetic Self Healing. Life expectancy: six years." John grunted in frustration. "We've already been through this. What if she's too sick?" "Life expectancy minimal: One year." It said. "Oh shut up!" He snapped at it. "Interaction off." The Interface and Hologram turned off. "That wasn't much help." Rose said.

It was then that J.D sensed a deep upset and when he looked over at Jaime she was crying. "Hey! What's this?" He asked, crouching to eye level. "It's going to be okay." Only his words just made her cry even more. How could anything be okay after everything she had seen, everything she had done? "Oh, come here!" He sat on the bed and pulled her to him where she instinctively snuggled close to him, continuing to cry. "Don't worry, well work it out." But she shook her head. That wasn't what was on her mind. "What is it?" The Doctor asked, sitting on the bed opposite.

"I...I'm n...ot a ni...ce per...person." Jaime cried. "I...I've done th...ings, re...really horrible t...things." He knew what she meant. They all knew what she meant. "No," John said. "You're not a bad person." He told her. "But...I've k...killed people. I've d...destroyed a whole planet and yo...you did..nt even tell me!" Jaime said through the tears. John sighed and closed his eyes, the Doctor rubbed the back of his head in utter awkwardness and Rose was looking down and shuffling her feet. The teen could feel the guiltyness wash off them all. "But you've saved lives as well haven't you? What about those people on Siren? Or even that little boy in the Boxing Day Tsunami?" She was looking at the Doctor with reproach and he could tell it wasn't making her feel any better. "The other stuff doesn't matter. You weren't yourself at the time."

She shook her head. How could he say that? People, lots of people had died at her hands. She'd even blown up the Time Agency. Then she remembered what Dyna told her. "What have B...ill Gates an...d Neil Armstrong got i...in common?" She asked. Rose looked confused. "Who are they?" She asked. "Don't you mean Lance Armstrong? The cyclist?" The Doctor grimaced and Jaime was shocked. "The...founder of Microsoft!" "Who is? What's Microsoft? Are they people in your Universe?" John also appeared to be confused.

"Rose, remember when I noticed there was over a hundred extra people having died in the Titanic sinking?" The Doctor asked the blonde and she nodded. "I said it might cause a Domino Effect. This is the Effect, from small things to big things." "Those names sound familiar, yet I can't remember what they look like." John said with a look of wide-eyed worry. Rose gasped in realisation. "Do you mean they've been erased from history?" The Doctor nodded. "So how come you and Jaime remember but John and I don't? And how did it happen?" "Because we were both in the middle of the event and they most likely had ancestors on the Titanic." He looked back at Jaime who's eyes were also wide. "When you were there how long did you stay for? What did you do?"

"I...I only wa...wanted to st..op them hurt...ing each o..other." She said in a small voice and it hit her that she'd unintentionally and inadvertently killed an Astronaut and the inventor of Microsoft. How many more famous people had she accidentally killed? The teen burst into tears again. The Doctor got off the bed and crouched in front of her. "Jaime, look at me!" He said but she wouldn't and when he looked at John it appeared she was affecting him too. "Jaime, look..." He put his hands on the sides of her face in order to make her look at him, but he frowned when he felt something cold brush against the back of his mind. John noticed it. "The only reason why we didn't tell you what happened is because we thought you'd find it highly upsetting. And clearly it did because you lost your mind when you were forced to see it. None of this is your fault. None of what you did could be helped, do you understand? I'm sorry, I'm so, so sorry. We all are." Jaime nodded, sniffling. "I'm sorry I left you and Rose hanging." She squeaked and the Doctor smiled sadly, remembering how she looked so angry. Now here she was looking more vulnerable and scared.

"it's okay, you don't need to apologise." That same coldness brushed against his mind again. "What is it?" J.D asked when he noticed the Doctor's discomfort and confusion. "I don't know...has anyone been in your mind recently?" He asked Jaime. She nodded faintly and said; "She went in and locked my anger thing away." "You mean your IED? How?" Jaime didn't know how. "Do you mind if I go in?"

She gave him permission so after re-adjusting his hands the Doctor went into Jaime's mind. The Doctor was surprised to find the place tidy and whoever came in last did a good job at cleaning up. He soon found remnants of the brick wall he'd built and it appeared to be obliterated. But the giant shimmering blue-orange fire interested more. It looked like Blue Fire but it was cold, which was odd. He moved closer to the fire wall and put his hand near it. He yelped in pain at the frost burn and the shock was so great that he was jolted from Jaime's mind. And that wasn't particularly pleasant for the teenager who yelled in pain before fainting, a trickle of blood coming from her nose.

"Hey! Do you mind?" John said rather indignantly, annoyed at how Jaime had been accidentally rendered unconscious. "Doctor? What is it?" Rose asked, helping the shocked Time Lord to his feet. "Cold Fire." He stated and now John looked surprised. "A wall of Cold Fire blocking the IED." "No way, you're kidding me!" The Half-Time Lord uttered. "No, I'm not." He handed John a tissue. "Doctors! What's Cold Fire?" Rose asked.

"It's a combination of Cryokinesis and Pyrokinesis making that person a user of Cryo-Pyrokinesis. Fire that is literally so cold it freezes but still burns." "Cryo-Pyro users are usually rare," John added. "You don't see many of them around." "There's also a legend that says a Cryo-Pyro user would become a Guardian of the Multi-verse." The Doctor looked at the pen drive where the Hologram had come from. "It can't be her. She was just a mare human travelling with a parallel me."

"If I remember correctly she said she had Cryokinesis," John spoke up. "And her multiple had Pyrokinesis." "Not to mention that she was half human, not just human." Rose said. "Well, whatever she is now she's powerfully Telepathic if she can send co-ordinates to all three of us." The Doctor mused.
