I'm so sorry! School has just been so hectic, but I'm on break this week, so I'll try to update as much as possible, I'm for definite updating again tomorrow, so please review and tell me what you want to see:)
As Finn drops her off that night, Rachel cannot get rid of the beaming smile from her face, she has never had anyone be so thoughtful and sweet when thinking solely of her, it's weird for her to think that only a couple of weeks ago Finn Hudson was just a concept to her, that he's just the QB destined to marry the head cheerleader whilst everyone else looks on in envy.
But now he's dating her.
She literally cannot believe it. Taylor Swift strums in the background and Rachel begins to subconsciously sing along, never having been so at ease and relaxed. It's a strange idea for Rachel, to open up to someone after knowing them for such a short period of time, Finn just understood her in a way no other had.
"You should sing more in glee, they're really missing out, and that's not even my biased opinion. You really are talented."
"Mercedes deserves the front role, she's amazing and can sing like I've never heard, she's one in a million, so it's only logical to use the star and let her shine, she also laps at the attention, so she definitely is in the right role, I'm happy at the back, I'm not unused, I just have a different role."
Finn makes a noise of indifference, clearly not agreeing with her way of thought. She is happy with where she is because she gets to be up there without the beady eyes searching for imperfections. She subconsciously shivers at the thought.
"I'm just saying they're missing out on real talent."
Rachel just shakes her head and continues to listen to Taylor, swooning about having a girl at home and closes her eyes letting the melody wash over her. This was one of her favourite songs. It is only a minute later, that Finn is pulling up in front of Rachel's home. She opens her eyes and turns to the driver's seat only to realise he is already out of the door and walking around the car to open her door. I guess chivalry isn't dead. Finn offers his hand and they to her porch.
"I had a great time tonight, I honestly couldn't have thought of a better date."
Finn scratches the back of his head.
"Thanks, I guess I've never done anything like this, so I was kind of freaking out about whether you'd like it."
"well I thought it was very sweet."
They draw closer to each other, staring lovingly into each others eyes, they lean in closer and share a slow, passionate kiss. This continues for a couple of minutes before they both pull away.
"Now that we've had our first date it's a countdown till Kurt is asking us to double date."
Finn lets out a low chuckle, and Rachel gives him an incredulous expression.
"I'm being serious, he asked me the day we became official and now I can't use the excuse that we haven't had a date together yet."
"It won't be so bad, as long as I'm with you."
"Aww, you are too sweet."
Finn leans down and kisses her once again.
"Rach, I wanted to ask you something."
"yes, Finn?"
"Would you like to meet my mom Friday?"
"Really?! You want me to?"
"Of course, She already loves you."
"How? I've never met her."
"Yeah, but you make me happy, so she loves you already."
"Okay."
"Okay?"
"The invite is still there right?"
Finn begins to chuckle.
"Of course it is, I'll see you tomorrow at school okay."
"Yeah, see you."
Finn gives her a final chaste kiss and heads to his truck, waving as he backs out Rachel's drive.
Reviews are Love:)
