Welp. I can proudly say that this is one of my favorites. It's AU, and it's for a multi-chapter stor I wanna write someday, and I absolutely LOVE the AU. It'll be a while though; I still need a proper plot/subplot for it, and there's a few other stories I wanna write first. This one's pairings are a little... Different. Puzzleshipping and implied Peachshipping. Don't worry though, it ain't about Anzu. ;)

#23 - Loyalty

"Yami Mazaki! Behave yourself!" Yuugi yelled, making Yami pout.

"But Aibouuuuuu-"

"Don't 'Aibou' me!" The other boy snapped. "I've already told you, no! I like you, I mean, really like you, but-"

"-And I feel the same way!"

"-But we are NOT dating, we are NOT kissing, and we're definitely NOT having sex!"

Yami pulled a face. "I only asked for a kiss..." He sighed, and the other's eyes softened. Leaning sideways on the couch, Yuugi pulled him into a hug, burying his face in Yami's hair.

"I know, Yami, I know. But Anzu comes back from America in a week, and I refuse to break up with her over the phone. And I'm not going to cheat on her! Or betray her trust at all."

"..You still have feelings for her, don't you?"

The violet-eyed boy gave his closest friend an odd look. "Yami, she's my girlfriend. And your sister! I wasn't supposed to fall for you while she was gone! But my feelings for you are stronger. And we have more of a connection. Trust me, when she's back, I'll find a way to break it off in the nicest way possible. Then we'll be together."

"As long as you don't hurt her. You may be my boyfriend, but she's still my sister. I love you, but don't you dare hurt Anzu!" Yami reinforced his point with a glare, and Yuugi rolled his eyes.

"For the last time, I'm not your boyfriend!" He whacked the older teen on the head lightly. "Not yet. And don't you forget it. Dating two people at once, especially when one doesn't even know... That's cruel, and I'd still consider it cheating on her."

"But it's not like we're fuc-"

"Don't you dare even go there," Yuugi growled threateningly. "I'm not the disloyal type, and I think it's cowardly to break up with someone when you're not even in the same room."

Yami raised an eyebrow. "Instead, you've left her to stay loyal to you over in America for six months, which I know she will have been. She'll have lost any chance she might've had with some cute American guy, all because she's taken already. And what do you think she'll do when she finds out, after all that, that her boyfriend's leaving her? For her brother, nonetheless?! You really didn't think this through, did you?!"

Yuugi swallowed guiltily. "You're... You're right..." He hugged Yami tighter, refusing to let go. "What do I do? This was a terrible idea... I... I feel so terrible! She'll hate me, now! Oh, Kami!"

The taller's crimson eyes filled with sympathy as he felt his hair begin to dampen from the tears now silently rolling down his aibou's cheeks. Wrapping his arms around the boy, he kissed the other's forehead and stroked his hair soothingly.

"I'm sorry... I shouldn't have said that. That was really insensitive of me. I wasn't thinking straight."

A chuckle, stifled by a sniffle. "Do you ever?"

"Hey!"

"What?" Yuugi blinked 'innocently', but cheekiness gleamed in his eyes. "It's true! You never think straight!"

Yami huffed at the lame joke. "Like you can talk."

"Hey," Yuugi teased. "I'm bi, actually. Unlike you."

He snorted. "So much for me comforting you." A cheeky grin. "So... You feeling okay, now?"

Yuugi smiled softly. "I guess... But I still feel bad about keeping us hushed up from Anzu."

"You only confessed how you feel a few weeks ago," Yami reasoned. "So it's not that bad. Besides, love is love, and that can't be changed. I'll stand by you, no matter what happens. Well, as long as you let her down gently."

"That's at least the third time in the past five minutes that you've reminded me!"

"Whoops!"

...Is it odd that I like brother-and-sisterly!Revolutionshipping? But ONLY that. I love the idea of them being like a brother and sister to each ohter. But that DOESN'T mean I like them as a couple, because I'm sorry, I DON'T. Ehehe... XD

And... Yeah. Basically, in this, Yuugi was dating Anzu, but she had to go to America with her dancing course for quite a while, and Yuugi couldn't go and see her, but stayed in contact. Anyway, him and Yami were pretty good friends, so he ended up still visiting the Mazaki house, and they ended up falling in love. *Shrugs* I dunno, I just really love that plot and I really wanna make a proper fanfic using this.

In other news... A few days ago, I uploaded a new fanfic, which can be found on my profile. It's Puzzleshipping, and fem!Yuugi with a twist. I'll say now that I'm not a fem!YUugi fan myself, but... I bent the rule a little. You'll see. ;) IU'd appreciate it if you guys would check it out if you haven't already! *Hugs*
