It's two weeks till the homecoming dance and Finn has yet to ask Rachel to go with him as her date, she was beginning to think he has no plans of asking her, and she kind of wanted her first school dance to be with the guy she thinks she has fallen in love with, has fallen in love with.

It's two weeks till the homecoming dance and Finn has yet to ask Rachel to go with him as her date, he's planned to ask her for the the past 6 weeks but he can't think of how, he knows that sounds stupid because they're relationship is stronger than it's ever been and he knows she'd say yes, but he doesn't want it to seem as though he's putting in zero effort because he knows what the outcome will be.

That's why, on Thursday night he texts her and tell her to be ready Friday at 8 for a surprise. She texts back instantaneously questioning what he was up to, but he wanted to keep her in the dark.

Friday at school, Finn waited for Rachel at her locker and as soon as he saw her walking down the hallway his face lit up and as soon as she was in front of him, his arms were around her waist and his lips attached to hers, she began to giggle and pushed against his chest.

"What has gotten into you?"

"We'll I haven't seen my beautiful girlfriend out of school for a whole 4 days and I've missed you."

"Aww, babe."

Rachel kissed the side of his mouth and smiled happily. They've been dating for 5 months now and Rachel is now able to show her affection around school because she knows that people now accept she and Finn's relationship. They've become rather secure with their private affections also, but they haven't done it yet. Rachel being a little scared about the whole thing and Finn too gentlemanly so respectful of her wishes.

"I'm very excited for tonight, even though you won't tell me what we're doing, I know it will be wonderful."

Rachel was smiling up at Finn and he looking down at her, he had been planning this night for months now, because even though he knew Rachel would say yes to being his prom date, he wanted her to feel beautiful and special and not that being his date was an assumption or an obligation.

"I know you're loving the surprise of it all, don't lie miss berry."

Finn tickles up her sides as he says this and Rachel explodes in giggles.

"S-stop Finn."

"On one condition."

"W-what, I'll d-o anyth-ing."

"Kiss me."

Rachel leans up and locks her fingers into his hair pulling him down into a passionate kiss, both forgetting they were in a school hallway.

"Get a room you too."

"I do not need to see my best friend and my brother making out at school."

They break the kiss and see Tina and Kurt staring at them, one with a pointed look and the other trying to contain their laughter.

"It's your fault Kurt, you've been keeping my beautiful girlfriend from me."

"I'll have you know that the time I've been with Rachel has been necessary for the grand makeover I have planned for prom, which might I add you have yet to ask her to."

"Kurt!"

Rachel was cut off by the bell so reserved herself with a glare in Kurt's direction, she turned and kissed Finn, said she'd see him later and walked off to her lesson. Finn turned to Kurt and looked him directly in the eye.

"If you weren't such an ass, you would have heard from Rachel tomorrow saying I'd asked her tonight, I've have this planned for months now, and now she's going to think i just asked her because of you making a stupid comment, so thanks bro."

Finn turned and also headed off to class. Kurt rubbed his temples with his fingers.

"Shit."
