Eh... The last one only got four reviews. I'm not one to nag about it, trust me. But... That was one of my favorites, so I'm suddenly feeling like it was bad. Was it the word 'Peachshipping' in the author's note? OH GODS I SAID IT AGAIN DON'T KILL ME o.O

Uhh yeah... Anyway, I'd appreciate it if I could have a little more feedback from that one, but meh, on with this, I guess?

The obligatory 'Yuugi being depressed after Yami leaves' fanfic that all Puzzleshippers have to write at some point in their writing, I guess. XD Very Puzzle-shippy, and some non-romantic Peachshipping, aka Rebound!Peachshipping. No Peachfluff, don't worry, I don't ship it. It's all Puzzleshipping, and it's set post canon.

#24 - Missing You

Words - 600

Yu-Gi-Oh doesn't belong to me, but to Kazuki Takahashi.

"I can't take this right now. Just.. Please. Leave."

"But what about-"

"Look. Just please... Just for a few hours. Leave for a while. I can't live like this."

Yuugi sighed and nodded at his wife, pulling on his coat and stepping towards the door. A tiny hand tugged at his pant leg, and he looked down to see a small boy looking up at him with curious blue eyes and tricolor hair.

"Daddy? Where are you going?"

He smiled warmly at his son, bending down and ruffling his hair. "I'm just going on a walk, Atem. Stay here with Mama, okay?"

Little Atem nodded, and Yuugi smiled. "That's my boy. Be good." With that, he descended to the ground floor and stepped out of the hotel.

Taking in a deep breath of the cool night air, Yuugi sighed. He and his family were on a trip to Egypt for a few months. It was needed as Yuugi was pursuing a career in Egyptology, and Anzu insisted that she come along with their son.

After Yami had departed to the afterlife, both had missed him dearly. Anzu, at the time, was completely clueless to the fact that Yuugi was in love with his other self, too busy grieving over his departure. Somehow, the pair had gotten together. They weren't foolish, knowing it wasn't real love. Even on their wedding day a few years later, the only one on the mind of the soon-to-be-married couple was the long-departed pharaoh.

A year later, Anzu gave birth to a boy, who other than having Anzu's eye colour, looked just like Yuugi. Since Yuugi and Yami looked so similar anyway, Anzu decided it would be nice to name their child after her long lost love, and Yuugi's best friend. Not bothering to correct her, Yuugi agreed.

Everything changed a week before the trip to Egypt.

Anzu was packing when she came across a box in Yuugi's closet. Curiosity peaked, she looked inside, finding a diary and a photo album.

The diary he'd kept as a teen, revealed his true feelings for his 'Mou Hitori No Boku'. Looking through the album, at first only finding pictures of the group of four, she began to notice the spirit photobombing; one picture showed her with her arms around his shoulders and him blushing (Jounouchi had laughed), but the photo showed Yami in spirit form kissing his cheek with a victorious smirk.

She confronted him, and he told her everything. How the two had secretly been together since after the fire, and how no matter what, he would always love his Yami. Which is why she had a new reason for being on the trip; to help Yuugi get closure, for him to get to give Yami a proper goodbye and move on.

It didn't work.

They'd visited the ruined tomb a week before, and it had only made things worse. After a while, Anzu couldn't stand his pining, while knowing their relationship was based on lies. It was no surprise that he'd been kicked out, but she wouldn't make it permanent; Little Atem would be crushed.

So now, he headed back to the tomb, back to where his other self had appeared before him.

"Mou Hitori No Boku?"

A pause, before the spirit appeared with a warm smile.

"Hello, Aibou." A chuckle. "Miss me already?"

"Always." Yuugi smiled at his other half warmly, and hugged the spirit. I love you."

"As I love you." He returned the hug. "But someday, we'll be together. Someday soon, I hope."

"...Are you saying you want me to die?"

"N-no!" Yami looked horrified, but upon seeing the teasing grin directed at him, pouted. "That was mean. And no... You'll see." He winked, before vanishing.

Yes, there WILL be a sequel. It could be a drabble, but it might be a full oneshot, I'm not sure yet. Anyway... Review, please? I wanna know what you guys think... How can I know how I'm doing if you don't tell me? ^.~ I just wanna check I'm not boring you all to death and losing readers.

P.S. We're past the 100 mark! Wooooooo! XD Thanks to YamiNoIcexIcuo, samaurai, xfallenangel13x and Scaehime for reviewing last chapter, and thanks to samaurai for being the 100th reviewer! XD
