Holy shit, last chapter got nine reviews! Thanks everyone, I'm glad to know you're all standing by me still! ;D I really hope you guys all continue to review, it really means a lot to me! ^.~

I'll try to avoid the-shipping-which-must-apparently-not-be-named, even thoguh I never make it the eventual ship anyway. And also, I'll avoid the unspeakable ship that brings horror upon all puzzleshippers *Cough*revolutionshipping*cough*, but I despise that and would never dare think of writing that ever anyway. Reviews help me to know what you guys like and dislike, so I can write what you want and avoid what you hate. I hope you like this one!

Anyway, this one was sorta inspired by Stuffed Animal. It's time to bring their parents back! Both pairs of parents. And Puzzleshipping instead of Blindshipping. I hope you guys like this one ;)

#25 - I Can't

Words - 600

Yu-Gi-Oh doesn't belong to me, but to Kazuki Takahashi.

"Yami?"

"G-go away!"

"Yami!" Yuugi banged his fist on the door lightly. "Please, let me in..."

The door cracked open, and a puffy-eyed Yami opened the bedroom door with a strangled sob, before turning back and plopping down on the edge of his bed. Yuugi sat beside the eleven-year old, gently pulling him into a hug. Yami responded instantly, hugging the ten-year old back tightly, as if he'd never let go. Perhaps he had no intention of doing.

"I'll miss you Aibou... Don't go..." He broke down into sobs again, and Yuugi stroked his hair soothingly.

"I don't wanna go away... But Mama and Papa say we have to." Yuugi wrapped his arms around the other's waist and buried his head in Yami's neck. "You'll be okay. You have more friends, right?" He couldn't stop a few tears leaking from his own eyes.

"But I can't!" Yami's sobs became hysterical as he began to hyperventilate. "I can't live without you! I don't wanna! I-I love you! I don't wanna say bye forever!"

Yuugi kissed his forehead gently, wiping the tears away using the corner of his jacket. "I love you too! And it won't be forever! I'll talk to you all the time! I promise!"

Yami sniffled a few times, finally regaining breath enough to speak. He looked at the other with large, watery eyes. "Do... Do you wanna go to Egypt?"

Yuugi shook his head sadly. "No. I wanna stay here with you..."

Yami's eyes narrowed determinedly, and he moved away slightly so he could grab the younger boy's hand and pull him up from the bed excitedly. "Let's run away! We can live in your treehouse and have pizza whenever we want! It'll be like a sleepover, but forever! And-"

"No..."

"H-huh?" The crimson-eyed boy looked rather hurt, and Yuugi finished his statement quickly.

"I can't leave Mama and Papa. They'll miss me, and we won't have enough money, and-"

"But I'll miss you!"

They held each other's gazes for a few seconds, before tears sprang to Yuugi's eyes again and he hugged his boyfriend. "And I'd miss you... You're right. I'm not going with them. Let's run!"

Within moments, the two were scurrying around the room, Yuugi frantically helping the other to pack. Clothes, pocket money, his duel monsters deck, clean underwear and a small pile of candy he had stashed under his bed.

"Now we can go!" Yami pried open the window, and froze as he looked down, before beginning to shake. "Uhh... A-Aibou, we can't go down, it's too high... We'd splat!"

"Uh..."

"We'll have to sneak downstairs."

"Okay!"

Both boys began to creep downstairs, their parents chatting in the living room. Yuugi put a finger to his lips, and Yami nodded.

He slipped.

Getting his footing wrong, he slid ungracefully down the stairs, knocking into Yuugi and leaving both of them sprawled in a heap. In mere moments, both pairs of parents came rushing over to see what the fuss was, and they began to cry; both because of the fall, and because they were caught.

"What happened, you two?" Yuugi's mother asked concernedly. Yuugi sniffled, answering honestly.

"We were gonna go and live in the treehouse... I don't wanna leave Yami, Mama! Let me stay!"

"Ah..." Yami's parents exchanged glances, and his mother nodded.

"We weren't going to tell either of you yet, we wanted it to be a surprise..." Yami's father started, making both look up sharply. "...We're moving to Egypt, too."

Silence rang through the house, and the two children exchanged hopeful glances.

"We've managed to find houses in the same neighborhood," Yami's mother began, "And our flight leaves tomorrow at ten-"

Before anything else was said, the two tackle-glomped their parents with vigorous thank-yous.

They'd never be separated ever again.

Expected that to end with angst, right? XD Those two kiddies needed a break, so I decided to make their parents awesome this time. And Yami's just being cute, deciding they'll escape and live in Yuugi's tree house.

I'd really appreciate reviews. Getting nine last chapter... That was the best yet. So I'd like to see if I can beat that.

Oh, and I'm officially a quarter of the way through this challenge now! Go me! XD

A huge thanks to all those who reviewed last time! That's Doragon-Chan, Scaehime, samaurai, yugi and yami lover, YamiNoIcexIcuo, TheCrystalEevee, ChangeOfHe4rt, xfallenangel13x and onigiri chibi!

Also, it shouldn't be long before the third oneshot in 'I'm Happy If You Are' is up. It's sorta based around the AU from drabbles Light and Run Away.
