Hi, guys! XD I tried to update this yesterday (Actually, I typed this up yesterday... Which is today for me right now, but you won't read this until tomorrow... Okay, it sounds derpish, so I'm just going to shut up -.-), but then I realized I'm not due to update until... April 5th. Yeah, let's just go with the date, less confusing.

All I've given you guys is Puzzleshipping for ages, so here's the return of a pairing that hasn't appeared for a while! Mobiumshipping! Although remember Smile? Yeah, well again, it'll be more centered around Monarchshipping... Ehehe... X"D

Oh, and the prompt is only vaguey related to the drabble... VERY VAGUELY. This idea just sorta popped into my head, and I couldn't resist!

Anyway, please enjoy! x3

Yami cracked one violet eye open as he scanned the room for his lover, after hearing what sounded like the front door opening. He groaned slightly with a yawn as he sat up, only to feel a pair of arms snake around him lovingly.

'Just your imagination...' He told himself, gazing at the one he loved. Confused red eyes met his.

"Yami? What's wrong?" He shook his head with a soft smile.

"It's nothing, Até. I just thought I heard the door..."

Atem snorted. "Pfft, who'd be visiting here? As far as the locals know, this is just some abandoned house. Wasn't there a rumor that this place is haunted? I'd have thought that would be enough to keep them away..."

He took a moment to consider this, before nodding. Yes, the place was the perfect haven for them, allowing them to live their lives in peace.

Yami and Atem were both immortal; three thousand years before, Atem had been the pharaoh of Egypt, and had been one of the seven bearers of the Millennium Items, he himself being the bearer of the Millennium Puzzle. Egypt had been attacked by an evil being named Zorc, and the Pharaoh himself had stepped in to save his land. As a thanks, the gods themselves had granted him a gift - the gift of immortality. It was still possible for him to be killed, even if it would be more difficult, but he would no longer age.

However, that came with a price; it was the puzzle itself that granted him eternal youth. If the puzzle was to fall into the wrong hands, it could return him to mortality and accept someone new to bear its gift.

Atem had guarded the Puzzle well for two and a half thousand years, constantly on the move lest someone notice that he hadn't aged a day over the years, meaning he was unable to enjoy the gift. Really, it was beginning to feel more of a curse; every time he got close to anyone (Simply as friends; he was too afraid of finding love only to lose it), he would either have to leave and never see them again, or watch them die of old age. He felt painfully lonely, but couldn't bring himself to end his own life.

That was when he met him.

Yami had just been a regular human who he'd met when he moved to Japan, and he'd definitely felt attracted to the teen. But as usual, he decided friendship would work best. Until a few months later. He knew his feelings for Yami had developed past attraction, and it was time to leave before they grew even more. Yami wasn't supposed to find him. The other had simply been on a late night stroll when he'd seen his friend about to board the ship heading for China, and had immediately tried to talk him out of it. Before Atem could do anything about it, Yami confessed that he loved Atem, and he couldn't bring himself to do anything other than admit that he felt the same.

Eventually, Atem had told him the truth about his past, but Yami, after taking a small amount of time to let the truth sink in, hadn't cared, still loving Atem as much as ever. They even figured out that if he willed it, the former pharaoh could increase the extent of the puzzle's powers to another. Their promises of being together forever could be true - literally.

They has hidden themselves away in Yami's old home in the city of Domino after he had faked his own death, silently encouraged rumors about the house, shooed away potential tenants and let the houses' appearance deteriorate slightly in order to be left alone. It may have not been the ideal lifestyle, but as long as they had each other, nothing else mattered to them. And of course, they wanted the Puzzle to be safe. The most secure place for it was right under their noses, and the rumors only made it less likely that anyone would come in and steal it.

They looked up in alarm as they heard a shout from the living room.

"Wowzers! This couch is sooooo faded! We'll need a new one!" A girl's voice yelled out, and they exchanged glances.

"Crap..." Yami muttered. "What the hell's going on?!"

"I don't know..." Atem muttered. "But we should go and check it out." He got up from the bed and headed to the door, only for an arm to grab him and pull him back.

"Atem! Clothes!"

A couple of minutes later, both of them were staring into the living room in shock as they, luckily still undetected, spied on their home's intruders. A brunette girl with skin as tanned as Atem's was bouncing around the room, green eyes shining with joy as she commented on various pieces of furniture to be updated. From what they could gather, she and her boyfriend (Who was in another room) had bought the house, ignoring the rumors and choosing to visit during the day to ease their paranoia.

"Yuugi!" The girl yelled, making the other two jump slightly.

"Hm?" The boy was still not in sight.

"I was wondering what color couch we should get..." She muttered. "Brown or black? Then again, I saw this really nice blue one advertised the other day on TV... Ooh, or purple!"

"Hmm... one second..." He was beginning to sound rather irritated with the girl.

Footsteps could be heard behind them, and Yami let out a silent gasp; 'Yuugi' was in the kitchen, meaning it wouldn't be long before he found-

"Aaaah!"

A boy (Who both guilty admitted to themselves was rather cute), who in appearance looked only a year or two younger than them, stared in shock. They stared back equally surprised, and for a few moments, everyone was silent.

"You... They said it was empty... Why are you..." The poor teen could barely get a word out. It was Atem who chose to speak next.

"Umm... If you want our opinion... Go with the black couch..."

Yami groaned. This wasn't exactly how he'd hoped today would go.

Ehehe... Yup, I wanted an excuse to write Monarchshipping again despite it not being a listed pairing in this drabble collection... *Sweatdrop* Rest assured, Yuugi won't be staying with Mana if this ever gets continued. I DO sorta like them as a couple when he's not with Yami and/or Atem, but... My actual reasoning for her was to seem original. If I'd used Anzu I'd be reminded too much of a brilliant currently ongoing fic by DarkFlowerOfHaven called 'House Of Yami', in which Yuugi and Anzu are together but then he meets Yami (Also immortal in that, but for totally different reasons, I think it subconsciously lead me to this drabble idea..). My next idea was to use Miho, but I'd probably accidentally start relating it to 'Boy Next Door', one of my favorite stories and my all-time favorite oneshot, which is by Serah Villiers and is basically about Yuugi and Miho (His girlfriend) living next door to Yami, (Miho is obsessed with redecorating the house which wouldn't have helped at all for this one), and him falling for Yami instead. Naturally, if I'd have used Peach or Poem as one of the beginning pairings I'd feel like I was copying one of those two, so I settled for Mana.

Kudos to you if you actually bothered to read that painfully long paragraph. If you didn't, I'm glad you still bothered to read on! XD
