Hi... Ah... I'm really upset today. I'll keep it short; you're not here to hear my whining after all, you're here to read a fanfic. It's just that I've had the worst day ever... And my best friend completely betrayed me. Sorry if I seem a little depressed in the ANs... :'/
Umm... Anyway. Sorry about this one, it probably sounds stupid. I hope it doesn't... Even if it might be a little confusing to most people at first.
Enjoy.

Nagrand was a truly magical-looking place. Then again, it was technically a magical place, anyway.
If only it was more than a simple zone in a computer game.
'Aibou?' A voice spoke curiously from within his mind, and Yuugi smiled slightly. For once, everything was peaceful. The word was in no immediate danger, and he wanted to simply relax, no dueling, just playing one of his former favorite MMORPGs, World Of Warcraft. Of course, since they didn't normally play anything on the computer, the spirit was rather confused. 'What are you playing?'
The Other Yuugi appeared beside him in his spirit form, looking rather unsure, and his smile widened. "Look into my memories, Mou Hitori No Boku, and you'll know everything you need to know about this game." The Other Yuugi nodded before closing his eyes for a few seconds as he did as instructed, and upon reopening them, he smiled.
"Ah. World Of Warcraft? I didn't know you played that one, I've never seen you play it before."
Eyes still glued to the screen as he sold several useless items, he nodded. "I know. I used to be obsessed with this game... But it's lost its fun over the years. There's too many players who ruin everyone else's gaming experience, and there's really no space for casual gaming anymore. You're either a hardcore raider or a n00b, and it's a shame. I just decided to reactivate my account for a month... I was a bit nostalgic... And I love this place."
'Nagrand...' The other noted, receiving a nod.
"The game designers outdid themselves with this region, it's so pretty..." He smiled rather sadly as he exited the small town he was in on the game and clicking a button that summoned his Wyvern, a winged lionlike creature that he could fly around on to take him anywhere he wished, as long as it was on the continent. He drifted past green landscapes, filled with cliffs in a soft brown color, beautiful crystal waterfalls, and the most stunning of all... The floating islands.
Though most were reasonably small, the size of the average in-game store, they were still rather breathtaking, especially the ones that had a single tree in the center. Trees in Nagrand were designed to be rather curved in shape and a light brown color, practically perfect and without rough-looking bark, in contrast to other places in-game. Not only that, but the view was spectacular.
Yuugi's character dismounted and made his character sit down as he re-angled the camera and maximized all visual settings in order to enjoy the view.
"I actually activated my account earlier this month," He explained. "Although I think I wasted the money... I've not really had much time to play it."
Understanding shone in the other's eyes as he realized something. 'So that's what you were doing that day...' He muttered. Yuugi gave a nod and a sad smile.
"It's funny... My account time runs out tomorrow. I don't think I'll bother with it again; I finally have closure, and the game just keeps getting worse..." He sighed. "This is one of the few places that I still have good memories with... The perfect place to be for my final moments on this game. I've gone here before a few times when my game time's ran out, and it's been completely worth it..."
'Hmm... It seems fitting that your time on the game would end today.' Yuugi looked at his other self curiously.
"What do you mean?"
'It's just... Tomorrow we go in search of my memories... I might finally find out who I am... What my name is... And I guess this is going to be our last adventure-'
"Don't."
The Other Yuugi blinked in surprise as his partner glared at him. "Don't bring that up, Mou Hitori No Boku. I don't want to think about it... I just want to forget... At least for the rest of today. I want to pretend you'll be here forever..." He looked down at the floor sadly. The other's eyes widened for a moment, before he finally smiled warmly.
'...Okay. But Aibou? One last thing...'
Yuugi looked up curiously. "Huh?"
The Other Yuugi held out a transparent hand. 'Do you trust me?'
"Of course!"
He smiled warmly. 'I'm glad...'
Yuugi took his hand, and before he knew it, they were enveloped by shadows. Yuugi yelped for a moment, causing the spirit to grip his hand tighter.
Eventually, the shadows seemed to disintegrate around them, and Yuugi gasped as he took in their surroundings. They definitely weren't in his room anymore.
They were greeted by the sight of a vast lilac sky, clouds in a pinkish hue dotted throughout and the soft yellow glow of the sunset. Stars twinkled enticingly on the horizon, and a pinkish purple streak that could only be described as magic seemed to flow through the air.
But what really took their breaths away was the rather large crescent moon that was easily visible despite the clear sight of the sun still being up, even if only a little. It covered most of the sky, the sunset giving it a golden glow rather than the silver glow of the real world's moon.
And to top it all off, as Yuugi inspected the ground, he realized they were stood on... One of the floating islands. The exact same one he was stood on in-game.
"It's so beautiful... But... How?" Yuugi breathed.
"The shadows don't have to be used to harm others, Aibou," The now solid form of the nameless pharaoh smiled, folding his arms with a proud expression. Yuugi noticed this with a huge smile. "We're in your game, but there's no other players... Just us."
"It's... Beautiful..." Violet eyes sparkled in wonder.
"I hoped you'd like it..." The spirit smiled softly at his partner.
No more words were needed. There was no grand love confession. It wasn't needed. Each could feel the other's love through their mental link, and it was enough to tell them everything. Their bond was far beyond words.
And they were content to simply spend the night watching the sunset, on their last day before their peace would be over.
If I had enough words left, I would've had them confess their feeling to each other verbally, but I've already cropped it quite a bit.
Oh! And on a bit of a happier note, I watched the first episode of Arc V yesterday, and I loved it. Yuuya is so adorable! He reminds me of a cuter and clumsier Yami, for some reason. He even freaking has Yami's eyes! Although I'm not too sure what to think of Yuzu yet... She seems to share some of Anzu's more annoying qualities, such as Anzu's habit of yelling 'Yuugi!" every two seconds he's dueling. I heard quite a few pointless yells of 'Yuuya!'. Anyone else notice the names, though? They're fairly amusing. I'm really looking forward to next week's episode, anyway.
Oh! And in a few days, I'll be posting a poll up about which story I should focus on. I don't really feel like doing it right now... I just don't feel motivated. But it should be up by the next update, and I'll link to all the story summaries, which can be found on my deviantART.
