Ooh! After being weird and not working properly for at least a month, fanfiction appears to be fixed for the copy and paste thing on document manager! XD And it looks all cool and new too! o3o

Anyway, here's the next update. This one was giving me a lot of trouble; I had no freaking clue what to write, but in the end, I got this.

It also lives up to the prompt name in my reaction to what I just wrote. It was NOT supposed to go off in this direction, I swear O.o

This takes place in the same AU as my oneshot, Make A Wish (Which will one day be made into a multichapter, but it's set to complete right now until I can.) Yuugi is female in that (I don't like fem!Yuugi much though .|||) , but pretends to be a boy because of a bet with Anzu, so because not everyone who's in this drabble knows the truth, Yuugi will be referred to gender-neutrally. I also have no freaking clue what the main pairing is actually supposed to BE in this, but I don't think anything's established yet... Not quite, anyway. Oh, and no knowledge of Make A Wish is needed, but it helps so you understand why certain characters are acting the way they do.

Shipping/s - Former/Almost established Monarchshipping, hinted Onesided!Blindshipping, mentions of Puzzleshipping. Ooh, and there's Egyptianshipping... Sort of. Fanfic-ception! O.o

Warning/s - Plenty of swearing (Scattered though, not all in one place) and brief mentions of sexual activity (Noone actually DOES any in this though. It's just brought up rather harshly by Anzu.). Also, Anzu and Atem are both equally idiotic.

"AU where Atemu's a spirit who sealed himself in a necklace for three thousand years before Heba's reincarnation finds him and helps him get to the afterlife," Anzu suddenly blurted, making Yuugi and Atem jump in surprise.

"Huh?"

Yuugi blinked, while Atem gave her a funny look. "Where did that come from, Anzu?"

She glared slightly, hands-on her hips. "Well, I thought it was a good idea!"

Yuugi yelped and glared cutely. "I didn't mean it like that!"

"It could work..." Atem muttered to himself quietly, before turning to the shortest of the three. "What do you think, Yuugi?"

Yuugi nodded with an eager smile. "Yeah! But that'd be tragic at the end, then... If they got separated after going through so much together again... Heba would just be completely crushed..."

"And jewelry?" Atem folded his arms. "Anzu-Chan, what the hell? Why would Atemu be trapped in a necklace?"

"Talk about a change of heart..." Anzu quietly. Atem huffed.

"I'm just saying..."

"Well, I'm just saying, what's wrong with a necklace?!" Anzu's tone was dangerous, and both shuddered; Anzu could be scary when she wanted to be. Yuugi gulped, but Atem stood his ground.

"It just seems a bit-"

She held up a dismissive hand. "Save it. I've seen how much jewelry you have up in your room."

He froze, comprehension slowly dawning on his face, jaw clenching. Oblivious, Anzu continued.

"Besides, I was thinking of something more specifically like Yuugi's Millennium Puzzle-"

"Bitch..." He muttered, before raising his tone to an annoyed yell. "What gave you the right to start rummaging through my stuff?!"

"I didn't." She folded her arms with a smirk. "Mana showed me the last time she invited me and the girls over for a sleepover."

Silence. Then-

"When was this?"

"You weren't home." Anzu raised an eyebrow. "All night. Care to share?"

Atem paled, turning away. The blued-eyed girl smirked victoriously, but Yuugi's eyes widened in understanding.

'That day... After the sleepover...' Eyes softened sympathetically. 'I thought Yami-Kun was acting oddly... Oh, Other me... Atem needs to stop toying with his emotions...' It was true that Yuugi had feelings for Yami, but Yami was going through a lot right now and apparently, Atem wasn't helping things at all. Besides, the bet with Anzu meant that the teen would have no chance with Yami anyway, even if he did like Yuugi back...

The three teens jumped as they heard the living room door creak open, and a head of messy brown hair poke around the corner.

"Hey, guys!" Mana grinned mischievously, but her smile soon morphed into a frown as she noticed their expressions; Yuugi seemed distant, Anzu was smirking in Atem's direction, and Atem was trying to avoid her eyes, seeming irritated. "Seriously, what the hell's up with you guys?"

"You..." Her brother spun around to face her, glaring daggers. "You let that thing into my room the other night?!"

"Hey!" Anzu snapped, having to be held back by Yuugi as she looked ready to punch him. "Like you have room to talk! You've done some pretty fucked up things, you know!"

"Quit it!" Mana glared at everyone, before pushing them all down onto the furniture; Anzu onto the sofa and Atem and Yuugi onto bean-bags, before sitting on the sofa herself. "Anzu, Atem, can you two at least try to get along? Please?" She smirked. "The sexual tension is unbearable."

Yuugi and Mana burst out laughing at the reactions of the other two. Anzu's face had turned crimson red, whether from anger or embarrassment it was difficult to tell; they both knew that Anzu had a thing for Atem before they spoke for the first time and Atem automatically decided he disliked her. Atem's face showed disgust for a moment, before he also smirked.

"Pfft, Anzu? You're barking up the wrong tree here, sis. One, I'm gay, you know that. Two, she's a complete whore and a bitch, what Yuugi sees in her I'll never know-"

"Hey!" Anzu and Yuugi both spluttered at the same time, while Yuugi yelled out, "For the last time, me and Anzu aren't together! I don't see her like that! We've been through this, Atem-Kun!"

"-And three..." Atem's smirk widened and he side-glanced at Yuugi. "I already have my eye on someone."

"Still not interested!"

"So, who do you like?" Atem demanded, tugging on his hair in frustration. "If you're not with Anzu and you're still not interested in me, who the hell do you like?!"

"Seriously guys, calm down-" Mana began, only to be cut off by her brother again.

"No! Seriously, tell me!" His glare became even more dangerous, voice lowering to barely a whisper. "It's Yami, isn't it..?"

Yuugi paled, and Atem's face fell.

"You..." He didn't get a chance to finish as Anzu suddenly interrupted.

"Stop! Seriously, just stop! It's not your business if he likes Yami or not! And besides, Yami needs someone who actually cares!" She took several ragged breaths, red in the face with anger. "He still loves you, you know! Not that you care! You can bring yourself to go to his house for the night and fuck him, but you can't even bring yourself to forgive him for some petty argument?! You're tearing him apart, Atem! At least Yuugi's there! At least Yuugi's not planning on abandoning him or using him! How can anyone trust you after what you did to Yami?!"

"You think you know anything?!" Atem roared, completely snapping. "You have no fucking clue what happened! I'm through trying to act civil with you! Mana, seriously, back me up here!"

Mana shook her head sadly. "I agree with Anzu, here..." She said quietly. "You're my brother, but he's my best friend. He's really sorry, Atem-"

"Oh, yeah?! Try telling that to Mahaad. Oh, that's right. You can't. Not that Yami cares-"

"SHUT UP!" Everyone turned around to see Yuugi panting from loss of breath, slightly teary-eyed. "Atem-Kun, Anzu, you're both my friends, but I can't take this anymore! I'm sick of all of this! I'm sick of you bringing Yami-Kun into this!"

And with that, Yuugi ran out of the house, not looking back. The other three blinked as the door slammed.

"Holy shit..." Mana muttered under her breath.

...Well, that escalated quickly. This was only supposed to be a lighthearted one with them breaking the fourth wall by discussing an AU that's ironically the plot of Yu-Gi-Oh, while Atem occasionally flirts with Yuugi. ._.

I hope Yuugi didn't seem like a wimp in this; that wasn't what I was going for, she's just stressed out because her friends are both arguing, she doesn't want to take sides, and she knows that Yami's still emotionally hurt from his breakup with Atem while Atem doesn't actually seem to two don't get along because of something that happened in the original story for this; think Anzu-bashing, and that's how Atem perceives Anzu. Anzu loves to make him feel like shit, and is still really pissed off from the fact that he blew her off the moment she tried to flirt for the first time. The idea of this is that before this drabble they called a truce, for Yuugi's sake.

Anyway... Yeah. I hope you guys liked it, and if you haven't already read it, I'd love for you to check out Make A Wish. It's just over 10,000 words, and based on Season 0, and if you're a fem!Yuugi hater, take comfort in the fact that I'm not too keen on it either. XD The story will be a multi-chapter one day, but for now, it's a oneshot. And I'm still not sure if it should end as Puzzleshipping or Mobiumshipping... Ah, well.

Anyway, please, review! I'd love to know what you thought; I love hearing your opinions! Oh, and please tell me if I accidentally specified gender for Yuugi outside of dialog during the drabble. The idea is that it's outside POV, and only Yuugi and Anzu know that Yuugi is really a girl, Atem and Mana still see 'him' as a boy.

As for the challenge I set you all last drabble... Only one person (You know who you are!) guessed correctly what it was based on. Hmm, what amused me is that most of you all assumed it was based on a fic or show or something, but it could be based on anything with a plot, remember that! If another person guesses correctly they'll get a bonus drabble, but remember this; the previous drabble was set post-canon of the plot it's from, and only the plot was used. The AU's universe itself wasn't. Look for things you're reminded of! The biggest clues will be in the story Atem told the kids, and when he's reflecting on his memories of meeting Yuugi.
