"So what are you talking about? How Mikado acted after my disappearance?" Kida asked both curious and cautious. "Yes. What happened after you left to go follow your lover. Without a second thought about how others felt, how Mikado felt." Izaya's voice went cold and Kida went defective. "I- I told you I didn't really love her! I was just confused!" Kida shouts in Izaya's face.

"No. You were running away. You were scared. Scared at the thought that you love your best friend. So you ran away with the closest whore you could get your hands on. I bet you left her saying you didn't love her. I bet you left her cold heartedly just like you did with Mikado. I bet you broke her heart and left. Thinking that it was the best for the both of you guys." Izaya smirked.

Kida looked guilty and horrified. "But what you didn't think was that maybe Mikado would have moved on or at least try. That he would find someone else. Someone better. Like me. Did you think that you would come here and confess to him and everything would be alright? That he would come running into your hands?" Izaya scoffed.

Kida listens to shocked for words. "I'm so sorry but you were dead wrong. You hurt him. You scarred him. And you don't even realize it." Izaya looks at Kida in disgust but this is where Kida finds his voice. "I-! I do! I now realize what I did to him hurt! I mean. Yes before I sort of thought everything would be fine! That maybe even if he didn't want to be in a real relationship with me he would want to be my friend!"

"That maybe he hadn't found someone else…" Kida's voice losing its strength going quiet. This is when Izaya starts to laugh. "Haha!" He claps his hands together. "Well he did. And that person is me. And he doesn't want anything to do with you. Not now and not ever."

Izaya's voice goes quieter. More stern and serious. "It took him months to finally open up. To finally be able to start to move on from you. Took me months to make him open up. And I won't let you ruin all my hard work." Izaya glares at Kida before he turns and starts to walk away from.

"Wait!" Kida calls out and Izaya stops. "What do you want now?" Izaya asks tired of hearing his voice already. "Do you really love Mikado?" Silence takes over the both of them for a few seconds. "Yes. Yes I do. I really love Mikado." Izaya's voice softens a bit.

Izaya starts to walk away and this time Kida doesn't try to stop him. He watches Izaya's back and then he starts walk away in defeat. Walking in the other direction planning on just walking around for a couple of hours.

Izaya gets home with the door unlocked waiting for him. But when he enters everything's a dark black all the lights are off. He sighs and enters turning on the lights and searches around with his eyes. He doesn't see Mikado which gets him a little on edge.

But he walks to the bedroom knowing that's where he probably is. He opens the door softly and gently making sure not to make a ruckus. He hears gentle sobs and whimpers from under the covers on the bed. He closes the door and makes his way to the bed.

He puts his knee on the bed and it dips under his weight. He crawls to the curled up ball of blanket and puts his arm around it. Comforting the person inside. Izaya puts his chest against Mikado's back and his arm over Mikado's. Rubbing it soothingly. "Shh. It's okay. He's not here anymore." Izaya's voice is smooth and calm. A voice only Mikado had ever heard come from Izaya Orihara.
