Rebecca collapsed on her bed after a long day of hacking, but just as she closed her eyes she heard someone frantically knocking on her door.

*knock knock knock*

"Rebecca!"

"Uggghhhh who even is that it's like eleven o'clock I mean for real…"

*knock knock knock*

"Rebecca!"

"Finnneeeee I'm coming, one second!"

Rebecca lazily got up from her bed and walked to the door. Right before she got to it, though-

*knock knock knock*

"Rebecca!"

She pulled the door open angrily.

"Dude, what the hell! I said I was coming! You didn't need to keep knocking!" she shouted at Desmond, who was standing there with his fist raised, about to knock again, but he walked right in, now that the door was open.

"They're after me, DedSec."

"Wait, what?"

"Like I said, DedSec is after me."

"Well, we kind of already knew that." she said while Desmond laid down on her couch.

"Yeah, but they're not screwing around anymore, they sent a drone after me."

"A drone? As in, like, the kind of things the military has and uses against bad guys? That kind of drone?"

"Yeah, that kind of drone. Except now, the bad guys have them."

"Well, shit."

"That's what I said!" Desmond said, closing his eyes from pure exhaustion. "Oh, and also!" he opened his eyes and sat up. "They've got Aiden."

"What." Rebecca's jaw dropped open.

"Yeah, you heard me correctly. So basically, we're screwed. Horribly screwed. Game over, basically." Rebecca was just standing there with her mouth open. "So, how's Erudite doing, heard from them lately?" Rebecca was still standing there with her mouth open. "Rebecca?" Desmond turned to look at her. "Hey, snap out of it." he said, waving his hand in front of her face.

"Whoa, hey, sorry, was having a moment. They have drones, and Aiden… You're right, we are so boned right now…"

"Yeah… On the bright side, though, I did manage to get one of their drones thanks to those hacks you gave me."

"..."

"I'm sorry, did you just say you stole one of their drones?"

"Are you having trouble hearing today or something, Rebecca? Yes, I did just say that."

"Well… Uh. That's, good, I suppose. But surely they'll want it back, right?"

"Oh, I have no doubt they'll want it back. Which is why we really should act soon, before they send their fleet over here to blow us up."

"Their fleet? Dude, if there's anything else you need to tell me about them, you should really do that soon before my head explodes or something."

"Alright, well, they've taken control of the CtOS satellite, for a start."

"Oh, this is bad. Very bad…"

"You're telling me. So anyway, I'm not sure what they need the satellite for, but whatever they do need it for, now Blume, or anyone else, for that matter, can't use it at all. Obviously, Blume's not told anyone for fear of their backers abandoning them due to a massive security flaw like that going public. So, before DedSec got Aiden, apparently they were using the satellite to hide something. Some sort of energy conduit of sorts, that's what Aiden's notes said, although what that's for, I have no idea. Probably world domination or something of the like. Anyway, all we need to do is re-take control of the satellite, and then we can see where this 'conduit' is. We can also probably find out where they're keeping Aiden with that thing, too. So, you should be up-to-date, now. Any questions?"

Rebecca just put her face into her hands.

"Dude, this is going to be impossible. I don't have nearly enough resources to take control of a satellite!"

"Aren't we, like, members of that Assassin thing? Could they possibly help in any way?" Desmond asked sarcastically.

"No, we still don't have the computing power I would need to do this. Hey! Wait a minute! I just had an idea!" she said, opening up her laptop.

"Oh, what is it?" Desmond asked, walking over to her and looking at her screen.

"Erudito! They helped me get into the system, maybe they can help us kick DedSec out!"

"Oh, that's not a bad idea!"

"No shit, Sherlock."

"Hey now, there's no need to be mean."

"Shush, I'm connecting to them now."

As Rebecca said that, a window popped up with the reversed and red Abstergo symbol on it, Erudito's symbol.

"Rebecca, good talking to you again, what seems to be the trouble? Abstergo after you again? Blume?" a voice that could be identified as neither a man's or a woman's asked.

"No, it's DedSec, this time, I'm afraid."

"DedSec? Rebecca, what did you do to get on their bad side? Or was it something Desmond over there did?" Erudito said, acknowledging Desmond for the first time.

"Yeah, it was kind of Desmond who started all this, actually."

"Hey! Not cool!" Desmond said, annoyed at Rebecca for blaming him.

"Well, dude, it's the truth. You wanted their magical apple, and they didn't want you to have it, so now here we are."

"I didn't know they would-"

"Er, I don't mean to interrupt, but could you guys cut to the chase?" Erudito said, cutting Desmond off.

"Oh, yeah, right. So anyway, Desmond pissed DedSec off and long story short we need you to kick them out of the CtOS satellite so we can find where their power source thingy or whatever so we can go there and kick all their asses and get the Apple." Rebecca said before taking a huge breath. "So, how's that sound, huh?" But, just then, Erudito disconnected.

"Rebecca, I think you scared them off."

"Shit, I think I might have."

But then, Rebecca's laptop screen went dark, and then it came on again, but with the different view. A view of the city, from a satellite.

"Damn, that was fast." As she said that, a call window appeared on her screen.

"You don't have a lot of time, DedSec is very powerful, and our servers can only keep them out for so long. Good luck, with whatever you're planning." the voice said before the window closed.

"Alright, looks like they've given us what we need, now all we need to do is find where there power is coming from, and we should be able to locate them, Aiden, and the Apple." Rebecca said, clicking through various menus, seemingly looking for something.

"Right, so how do we find it? And we don't have a lot of time, remember?"

"Don't worry, I just need to activate the thermal camera, and we should be able to spot the hottest areas, which will, in turn, lead us to DedSec. Aha! Got it!" As she said that, the view switched to a view made up of pure colors, showing the hottest and coolest areas in the city and surrounding counties. Rebecca and Desmond both began scanning the map, looking for the hottest areas.

Obviously, the city was mostly red, due to the large amount of power it was using. A few areas in the south district, Brandon Docks, were hot as well, but when they zoomed in they turned out to be power plants. The same thing happened in the Wards, Parker Square, and Pawnee.

So, they zoomed out further to look at surrounding towns. And that's when they saw it. Desmond even stood up straight in surprise when he saw it. It was a scorching-white area just outside Pawnee. That had to be it!

"Well, I think we've found where DedSec is doing… Well, whatever they're doing." Rebecca said.

"No kidding." There was a moment of silence as they both just looked in awe at the huge white spot on the map.

"Well, we should probably go, before DedSec finds us or something equally bad." Desmond said, pulling his phone out of his pocket. "I'll put it on my map, what's the address?"

"It looks like it's right on top of a small house in the woods…"

"Alright then, let's get going, it'll be a long drive." Desmond said, looking at the map and putting the coordinates into his phone's GPS. Rebecca closed her laptop and put it in her bag.

"Man, I was about to go to sleep when you got here, why do you always have to ruin everything?"

Desmond just chuckled at that.

"Whatever, jerk, let's just get going." Rebecca said playfully, before they left the building.

"Hey, do you have a car I could borrow?" Desmond asked.

"Oh, you've got to be kidding me…" Rebecca said, rolling her eyes.
