Me: Hey guys, so I have finally found the inspiration to bring this story to an end. I've had this idea for forever but I just couldn't put it into words. Thanks for supporting me through all this! :D Hope you like my little plot twist.
Epilouge
3 Years Later
The day that me and Kalyn joined the Black Swan was a day to remember. It was a small ceremony, just my parents, Marta, and the war council. I could feel purpose in every stride as me and my brother entered the room of the war council, a place that I had been not too long ago. There were oaths to take and speeches to say, but I knew that the sooner that I was a member, the sooner I'd feel like I could make a difference.
I laughed to myself as I stood along side Kalyn. Over the past couple of years, he had managed not only to convince me of his save-the-world mantra, but also to start believing it myself. It had almost been 3 years since that day that I found the boy in the tree, and that my family had started to piece itself back together. Slowly, my parents started revealing more secrets, and although I know there is still much they haven't told us, I know that there will always be more time to tell.
When the ceremony ended, someone from the Council took our hands and slipped on a small black ring with the black swan subtly carved on the inside.
All the members came forward to shake our hands. And for the first time in a lifetime, standing proud beside my brother and knowing that my parents were beaming up at us, I felt invincible.

Sunsets at Siren Rock had become a sibling tradition. No matter what happened was happened with our jobs or our "secret" jobs, 8:15 pm every Friday, we would be there.
"This is something I'll never get tired of," I smile, as the orange hues spread into pinks and purples in the darkening sky. "It's little things like sunsets that remind you that you're really living."
Kalyn says nothing but even without telepathy I know that he agrees. My brother has become more withdrawn lately. He's studying a theory on abilities, and if there is a way to deduct what ability your child will have so that they can manifest it earlier. I have gone in genetic sciences, because I find it fascinating how cells work. I hope that one day I can contribute this to the Black Swan.
At the moment, Im training with Head of Battle Strategies. Im the VP, and in time I hope that when he's ready to step down I can take his place. Strategizing is something that I've always enjoyed and Im happy to be his best student and his finest successor. Kalyn is in the weapons department, designing new tools that will give us an advantage against those who want to harm us.
At school, rumours of the Black Swan have broke terror throughout the classes. They think that we want to hurt people. If only I could set those rumours straight.
Kalyn nudges me and brings me out of my train of thought. "Are you okay?"
I take one look at the sunset and at my sleepy eyed stupid brother and smile. "Never better.

As head of Battle Strategies, I have come up with a breakthrough. With the help of my research at school, and collaboration with my brother Kalyn, head of weaponry, we have created a weapon far powerful that we could have ever imagined. A weapon that can be hidden in plain sight and that we hope can bring peace and stop the fighting. We have no idea what it is even capable of. But we know that there is no turning back, and that only time will tell if we have created a god or a monster.
Through the window of the Black Swan mansion, I see a dark bird land on the tree.
"Matthews?"
I turn my head, snapping back into reality. There are papers on the desk in front of me and a woman is sitting across from me. I try and remember what I was doing.
"The final step to our project?" A bit of annoyance rung in her voice.
Finally, I pick up the pen and write carefully, slow loops, making every letter count.
" Is that your final decision? The name will be finalized as soon as you place the papers in my hands."
"Im sure." I said as I folded the papers and handed them to her, shaking her hand. "It has begun."
On the top of the page written in my neat writing were the words: Project Moonlark
THE END~ (This time it's actually the end)
