Sora groaned as he hit his head on the table in front of him. He glared at the assignment instruction sheet in front of him and bit back another groan. Xion sat across from him holding back her laughter, as Riku watched them with a smirk. Vanitas also had his head on the table, though he didn't grown like Sora.

"It's not that bad you two," Xion tried to reassure them.

Vanitas looked up at her, "Not that bad?"

"You haven't seen our family have you?" Sora asked sarcastically.

Riku chuckled, "We have and we are glad we don't have as complicated of a family tree."

"At least they let us both work together," Vanitas mentioned.

Sora sighed, "That's only because the teacher didn't want to look at our massive family tree twice."

"So how do you want to do this?" Vanitas asked as he sat up finally.

"I take mom's side and you take dad's?" Sora suggested.

"Fine..." Vanitas agreed.

Sora looked around the study, "Do we have a family registry?"

"Registry?" Vanitas asked.

"Yeah...where you put the names of all those in your family, grandma had one and gave it too mom. I think it's in my room," Sora explained.

"Shouldn't that have all we need then?" Vanitas asked.

Sora shook his head, "It only has mom's side, we'll need to get dad's side also."

Vanitas felt like banging his head on the table again, of course Sora would get the easy part. He barely noticed his twin getting up and leaving the room. He glanced at both Xion and Riku who were already busy writing out their family trees, at least they weren't as difficult as theirs.

Sora quickly returned along with a small book, though to Vanitas it just looked like a very full folder that was ready to explode. Sora dropped it on the table and Vanitas winced as he heard it hit the table hard, Riku and Xion both jumped at the sudden sound.

"So who first?" Sora asked.

"Ladies first."

Riku looked at Vanitas, "Who knew you had manners, or were so courteous."

Vanitas glared at Riku, "Shut up, like you're one to talk."

"I have perfect manners, I'm an absolute gentleman to Sora."

Sora rolled his eyes at his boyfriend but ignored him, "So mom first then? Start with grandparents?"

Vanitas nodded as Sora opened the book, and flipped quickly through the pages till he got to a set. Vanitas grabbed his notebook and a pen, and nodded at Sora to begin.

"To start with there is Grandmother Elfe and Grandfather Veld. They had four kids: Kina, Mira, Mayu, and Cissnei," Sora began.

Vanitas nodded, "Do we know anything about Kina and Mira?"

"Um...I sent Lightning an email earlier and she gave me some details about Kina and Mira, who we didn't have info for earlier," Sora answered.

"Continue then," Vanitas urged.

"Kina married a man named Balto, and they had four kids: Izana, Queen, Machina, and Deuce. Mira married a man named Maur, and they had two kids: Eight and Cinque," Sora listed off.

"What kind of name is Eight?" Riku asked.

"Or Queen for that matter..." Xion added.

Sora ignored them after Vanitas nodded for him to continue, "Mayu married a man named Rod and had two kids: Lightning and Serah. Finally Cissnei married a man named Rygdea and had ten kids: Saix, Marluxia, Zack, Cloud, Terra, Demyx, Roxas, Ventus, Vanitas, and Sora."

"Did you have to list off the names? It's not like we don't know that part already," Vanitas stated in annoyance.

"Sorry..." Sora replied sheepishly.

Vanitas handed the notebook to Sora who looked over it carefully. Sora nodded that everything was correct then took the pen and got ready to write down their father's side.

"Start with Grandmother Reina and Grandfather Bartz, they had five kids: Xehanort, Kefka, Rygdea, Jihl, and Yeul. As for who they married it is unknown or they haven't married yet. Rygdea married Cissnei and so on," Vanitas stated.

"That wasn't so bad," Riku commented.

Xion giggled, "All the confusing stuff is on Sora's side!"

Sora scowled at his best friend, "Let's hear your side then."

Xion looked down at the table uncomfortably as she fidgeted. Sora blinked and Xion fidgeted some more before sighing.

"Promise you won't be mad?" Xion asked.

Sora blinked, "Mad?"

"You'll understand once I tell you," Xion explained.

"First off I didn't really know my grandparents, they had three kids though: Edea, Balthier, and Refia," Xion spoke up.

"Wait...isn't Edea," Vanitas began.

"The name of the lawyer for Xehanort?" Riku added.

Xion nodded, "She's my mom...right now my parents are sort of apart, so I didn't know my mom was doing the trial till then."

Sora looked at his friend, "We're not angry."

Xion looked at him startled, "Really?"

"Of course not, it wasn't your fault besides she was only doing her job," Sora assured her.

Xion smiled at her friends as Riku pulled her into a hug, since he was closest. Xion looked back down at her notebook as the others quieted down again.

"Edea married Cid and had two kids: Noctis and myself. Balthier married Elza and had a daughter named Fang. Refia married Luneath and had a daughter named Vanille," Xion finished.

Riku looked at her, "You have an older brother?"

"Yes, why do you think I'm used to the antics of boys?" Xion asked in a slightly annoyed tone.

"Right...never mind," Riku muttered.

"Riku's turn," Sora spoke excitedly.

"My turn?"

Vanitas smirked, "It's only fair."

Riku sighed, he could tell by the looks he was given that there was no way he was getting out of this. He pulled his notebook back out and flipped to his page. He waited for the others to settles before beginning.

"Don't know my grandparents, but they had: Lucretia and Setzer. Lucretia married Vincent and had Sephiroth. Setzer married Nora and had: Kadaj, Loz, Yazoo, Myself, and Hope," Riku read quickly.

Sora pouted, "No chance to tease him..."

"Tease me? Was that what you wanted? All you had to do was ask and shown me to a private room," Riku teased the brunette.

Sora blushed bright red and Vanitas scowled at Riku who only shrugged. Xion was also blushing and looking away from the table. They all sighed tiredly, glad to at least have the basis done. Upon looking at the clock the two guests noticed the time and rose to leave.

Sora frowned as Riku stood and pack his stuff, he walked his boyfriend to the door sadly. Xion went through and stood at the gate to wait for Riku, giving the two some privacy. Riku smiled at Sora and leaned down to capture his lips in a kiss.

"See you tomorrow," He said after they broke apart.

Sora nodded before watching his boyfriend head down the path to Xion and into the forest. Sora quickly returned to the study to help Vanitas finish the project.
