Chapter 10:
"John," Steve called out after breakfast.
The Heir of Breath turned to face the hero with a large grin on his face, looking up at the blonde expectantly.
"Can you tell us where you four went to?"
John blinked and frowned a little, not really knowing if he should tell the hero what they were up to. But before he could make a decision, Rose stepped in.
"I asked them to go look something up," she stated calmly.
"It'd be best if you told us what," Wolverine grumbled, "we're here to keep an eye on you guys, so you're not supposed to just leave without our permission first."
After saying this, the atmosphere in the room became tense. The Avengers noticed all trolls becoming suddenly a lot more serious. Terezi frowned at them, while gripping her cane tighter, Karkat and Kanaya moved to grab their weapons as well. Sollux' eyes suddenly gave off blue and red sparks and the dark, menacing look in the suddenly red eyes of the usually dopy indigoblood was downright terrifying. Only Aradia didn't seem any different and just smiled at the whole thing.
"I'm sorry for making you all worried," Rose spoke quickly in an attempt to lessen the tenseness between the two groups. "I'm just expecting more of our friends to arrive soon and I wanted them to find any proof that they are indeed on their way."
"More trolls?" Peter asked curiously. At this point, the alien teens had all calmed down again, even though they still looked at the heroes suspiciously.
"At least six more, yes. Thanks to Aradia and Jade, that much has at least been confirmed," Rose answered smiling.
"Fuck yeah!" Sollux cheered happily. "That meanth FF ith coming back!"
"The same goes for Vriska," Terezi mumbled softly, 'looking' down with a guilty expression.
"I bet all be up an' motherfuckin' alright! I mean if the motherfucking universe gives them the fucking miracle of being all alive again, things are gonna be aaall-motherfuckin'-right!" Gamzee said happily, giving the others a lazy smile.
"Language," Steve muttered irritated. All the cursing these trolls did, especially Gamzee and Karkat, was really getting on his nerves.
"Um, that be up an' motherfuckin' Alternian brother!" Gamzee answered clueless. "But I guess it all up an' sounds like motherfuckin' English for you motherfuckers because Solbro's fucking translation miracle."
"He fucking means you should watch your language you thinkpan rotten waste of slime!" Karkat growled annoyed.
"Shit bro, did I up an' motherfucking say something all inconsiderate? That aint be my motherfuckin' meaning," the indigo blood said worriedly. "I just aint got my motherfuckin' knowledge on about the fucking human culture and shit."
While they were all talking, the 'ding' of the elevator had stayed unheard, making it all that more surprising when a certain someone walked in.
"BROTHER ANTHONY," the voice of the blond demi god boomed through the tower. "I BELIEVE MIDGARD IS UNDER ATTACK!"
Everyone looked up in time to see Thor walk into the room, followed by two young trolls in Asgardian chains. Out of the large group of teens, many eyes widened when the blueblood and the short oliveblood were recognized.
"Karkitty!" Nepeta yelled happily, attempting to rush over to her flush-crush. She was stopped however by the chains around her wrists.
"WHAT THE FUCK IS THIS!" Karkat yelled angrily while running towards his cat-loving friend and trying to get her free. "CAN SOMEONE TELL THIS NOOKSUCKING ASSHAT TO RELEASE OUR FRIENDS?!" he screamed furiously towards the Avengers when it was clear he couldn't get Nepeta out of her bonds.
While karkat had started a rant about how wrong it was to just imprison innocent people (especially when they just came back from the dead), Thor was staring at the group of trolls already living in the Tower with shock written all over his face.
The blonde carefully tightened his hold on his hammer and a look of determination crossed his features. The grey skinned aliens saw the change first and all grabbed for their weapons as well.
"Everybody, calm down!" Steve said with and authoritative tone.
The whole room immediately went silent. Steve huffed in annoyance when he saw that even though everyone seemed to listen to him, all the trolls, as well as Thor and the two assassins were all still ready to pick a fight.
"Thor, can you please explain why you have cuffed two kids?" he asked the other blonde.
"They are not children, brother Steve," Thor started. "They are wriglers, and almost coming of age as well! Do you not know how dangerous it is to have adult trolls walking around!?"
Everyone stared at the demi god in surprise when he said this.
"You… know about the trolls?" John asked curiously.
"Yes, but I believed them to be extinct for several thousands of years already. My father had told me about them when I was younger and about the brutal war they fought amongst themselves that ended their kind's existence."
"What a fucking shock," Karkat grumbled, glaring furiously towards the blond god that still refused to release the two newly alive aliens. "Another universe where our kind royally fucked up and ruined our fucking future as a race!"
"At least we up an' got my motherfuckin' palebro to keep us all up an' in motherfuckin' line!" Gamzee shot in, slinging a lazy arm over Karkat's shoulder and giving Thor a dopey grin with a little too much fang for the Asgardian to be comfortable with.
"I refuse to follow the orders of a mere lowblood," Equius spoke up for the first time since he and Nepeta were brought in.
"FUCK YOU!" Karkat yelled angrily. "YOU THINK YOU'RE SO HIGH AND FUCKING MIGHTY BEING A BLUEBLOOD, BUT GUESS WHAT FUCKASS? COLOR DOESN'T MEAN A FUCKING THING AROUND HERE ANYMORE!"
Said blue blood crossed his arms in defiance, an angry sneer visible on his face. It wasn't difficult to guess that he was most likely was glaring at the much shorter troll from behind his cracked sunglasses.
Nepeta squeaked and jumped when she noticed the darkening aura hanging around her meowrail and tried to maneuver her way over to him while still tied to the demi god. In the end she succeeded at papping the long haired male in a pretty awkward angle. The muscled highblood relaxed in her gentle hands (paws) none the less.
"Hold on!" Tony piped up suddenly. "Did the angry fur ball just say something about blood color? What the hell was that about?"
"Right! I almost forgot humans only have one color!" Aradia said cheerily.
"Fucking weirdoth," the yellowblood standing next to her grumbled.
"They all have candy red!" Terezi cheered, sniffing the closest human, which luckily was Dave, who was already used to the blind girl's strange behavior. "It just smells so good, and I bet it tastes even better!"
"Yeah, 'cause that's not weird at all," Peter mumbled, inching away from the grinning tealblood.
As you can see, I was actually able to get another chapter on!
Sorry it took so long. And a sorry in advance for the wait on the next chapter 'cause I haven't even started thinking about what to do next X(
