The Honeymoon

We left our duo asleep in their guestroom bed in Vieques Puerto Rico. They had just begun their honeymoon. Let's continue!

(It has been almost three entire days since Harry and Ginny Potter were married. They have been to Red Beach (it is called Red because that is what the US naval force called it) three times, snorkeling once and are going to Mosquito Bay tonight to see the bioluminescent bay. They are getting ready to go.)

"Harry are you almost ready to go? It is fifteen minutes until seven and we're supposed to be there at eight."

"I am right here babe. You might want to put on long pants or long sleeves. It is not called Mosquito bay for no reason."

"I'm a witch I will just cast a bug repelling spell on us. (She does a spell) there now know bug, bee, or unwanted being can touch us."

(They reach for each others' hands but get repelled by a gold aura. Harry looks at her as if to say unwanted only huh? Jokingly he asks her) "Am I unwanted?!"

"No No! I I must have done the spell wrong! Let me just undo it and then go change."

(Does that. Meanwhile back in the UK Ron and Hermione are in his room at the Burrow in a full on snog. Ron pulls away slowly and ask Hermione to close her her eyes.)

"'Mione Baby could you close your eyes for a moment I have a surprise for you and I don't want you to see it while I get it ready." (Reluctantly she does as she is told. With her eyes closed she begins to talk about Harry and Ginny.)

"So...They will be home the day after tomorrow. Do you think that you're gonna be an uncle again?-"

"Mione sweetheart please be quiet. Just give me another minute."

"Fine. (Sites quietly.)"

(Ron is now wearing a pair of dressier pants and button down shirt, and is in front of her on one knee with the same small box that he had been fiddling with in his pocket at his sister's wedding.)

"Ok you can open your eyes now." (Hermione opens her eyes blinks against the light and then does a double take at the boy-no-more man before her. When she sees the box in his hands her jaw drops and she thinks back to the conversation that she and Ginny had three days before. She thinks that Harry and Ron must have had a similar conversation.) "'Mione I have had a huge crush on you since, well, since the day that we first met. I am sorry for not being able to make a move earlier I just didn't want to sacrifice our friendship with each other and Harry. I mean would we have still been able to be friends if you had said no? Or what if you said yes would Harry have felt betrayed? But I learned that the answer to the latter question would have been yes when he asked me if he could ask Ginny out. I learned that the 'code of brotherhood' goes beyond just staying true to one another. It also means that you support each other in whatever decision they make as best as you can. I see that she makes him happier than I have ever seen him, and vice versa. So I am now making a move. Hermione Jean Granger, will you be my bride? Will you be my wife. You have always been there to help me with all the problems I have ever had. Whether it be studying for exams, or Fred's death you have been there for me. I want you to be there for me for the rest of my life. I want to wake up with you right next to me, I want to always see your gorgeous face. I say let us put what happened when we were fourteen in the past forever and be there together forever. So what do you say? Will you be mine forever?"

"...I-I-Yes! Yes! I will be yours forever! On Ginny's wedding day I was talking to her while we were getting ready about how much I wanted you to ask me to marry you, she said that I should ask YOU because she didn't' think you were going to be able to get the courage up to ask me yourself. I was going to ask you tomorrow right before they got home if you didn't ask me before then. And you did! YES!"

(Ron picks her up spins around with her laughing hysterically in his arms. Back with the newly weds on their honeymoon. They are now in kayaks that they are usings to go on the bay and see the light when the water is disturbed.)

"Harry this is so beautiful! I can't believe this our last night of our honeymoon! I wish this moment would last forever!"

"I know how you feel."

"Can you believe that all this light is coming from millions of microscopic organisms? This is the most romantic location I have ever seen. Well, second to the way you fixed up the Room of Requirement to match all the places to where you and I shared some romantic moments even if we didn't know it. That was super sweet!"

"Thanks Gin. I know it is amazing. (Turns around and kisses her and she kisses back. Ginny looks around as she pulls away slowly and notices that the rest of the people on the tour with them are watching and turns back to Harry and they both blush in embarrassment. Ginny giggles quietly) Harry looks like our romantic moment was kind of ruined just now, the whole tour was watching us kiss!"

(chuckles) "Oh well do we care? I mean we're are on our honeymoon, we have married the person whom we have crushed on since we were young. If they knew they would understand. We also have gone against Ron's wishes and married each other even though you're his little sister and I am his best mate."

"You are right. As always. How did you become so logical and smart? Was it by hanging out with Hermione?... That can't be it or else Ron would be a little more sensible unless he was too busy staring at her to hear a word that she said."

"I think the latter. I think I am just naturally logical but who knows. I have known Hermione almost as long as I have known that I was a wizard. So who knows."

"Oh! We're supposed to be heading back in now."

(Together they turn the kayak around and head back to where they are to meet up with the rest of the tour group. Thankfully no one mentions the kiss on the bus ride back to the parking lot. When Harry and Ginny get back to their room in their guest house they turn to each other and start to laugh and cry about everything that had happened that night and over the past couple of years. Then they get into bed dreading the end, but also excited to get back to their houses. And sharing stories with Ron and Hermione and hearing what is new with them.)
