The next morning Leon woke to find Chris already up and on the floor doing push ups. He rubbed his eyes of sleep and sat up.

"Dude, what the fuck are you doing?" he asked looking at the clock, it was 9am.

"Couldn't sleep so I got up and I have to get fit if I'm gonna be in the army," Chris panted. Leon shook his head.

"Whatever, like you could leave me," he smirked as he swung out of bed "Will your mom have done breakfast yet?" he asked rubbing his stomach. Chris stopped his push ups.

"Yeah probably, let's go," the boys pushed each other as they raced down the stairs.

"Morning boys!" Mrs. Redfield greeted them warmly.

"Morning mom," Chris obediently placed a kiss on his mother's cheek and took a place at the table.

"You spoil me with all this Mrs R," Leon gestured to the pancakes, bacon and eggs that were plated up for them. Mrs Redfield giggled as she ushered him into a chair.

"Well someone has to take care of you, so skinny," she chided as she piled up his plate. Chris snorted.

"Don't know how he eats like a horse," he laughed. Leon glared at him before shrugging.

"It's true but I know that you'll still love me even when I get fat right Mrs R?" he winked at her. Mrs Redfield giggled again as she turned back to her cooking.

"So what's the plan for today?" Leon asked blowing his fringe from his eyes so he could eat. Chris shrugged. Leon shook his head "Man oh man, come on we're young, one of us is handsome we should be doing something on a day such as this," he gestured to the sunny day outside the window. Mrs Redfield looked up from her cooking with a grin.

"Whatever, hey there she is morning Claire," Chris grinned at his bleary eyed sister. Claire resisted the urge to flip him off in front of their mother; she was not a morning person usually. She plonked herself down at the table and poured herself some juice. "Sorry I asked," Chris busied himself with eating, not noticing the look Claire was giving Leon.

"Perhaps the beautiful Claire would like to join us in our mischief?" he grinned. Claire glared at him. Leon blew her a kiss as he flipped his bangs from his face.

"I have a paper due on Monday I need to go to the library," she tried her best not to blush as Leon's face broke out into a huge grin.

"That is adorable!" he exclaimed nudging Chris "You could learn a lot from this one," he joked. Chris retaliated by pushing him off his chair. "Hey!"

"Sorry my limited mind only knows violence," Chris laughed.

"Have you given any thought to what you're going to say when you see Jessica?" Claire asked with a sweet smile. Chris's face flushed and his gaze hit his plate. Mrs Redfield turned to hear better.

"No, not really, I mean what can I say? Wait you're a girl what do I say?" Chris looked at Claire with a pleading desperation. She shook her head while waving her hands in front of her face.

"Oh no, I'm not going there, not getting involved in any of your stuff, count me out brother," she sighed as she watched how hurt Chris looked at her words "Fine, well how did you leave it?" Chris took a sharp breath.

"Not good," he admitted.

"Ooooh, k, well it seems to me that if you really like this slut, oh I mean girl that you should, make her feel special," Claire felt the twinge in her stomach as she betrayed her friend. 'I should be helping him to like Jill, stupid boy!' she thought angrily to herself. Chris nodded.

"So like what?" he asked with a wrinkled nose, he had no idea what girls liked.

"I say you just go into school Monday morning slap her on the butt and say 'hey babe you and me' and leave it at that," Leon added. Both Redfield's gave him an identical look. "Hey it's creepy when you guys do that," he told them "Besides, what's wrong with that? Works for me all the time," he stretched his hands behind his head.

"Really, how interesting," Claire spat before turning to her brother "You wanna get her, do the exact opposite of this asshole!" she ran from the table. Chris rose to follow her but Mrs Redfield ushered him back down.

"It's ok baby, I'll see to her," Chris turned to Leon.

"Dude, girls are weird,"

"You said it," they both shook their heads as they continued their breakfast.
