Heyy! I'm REALLY sorry that it took me so long to get this chapter up. But I was away on vaca for a week, then had a LOT of make-up work (even though I took most of it on the trip with me) and had to deal with some other…issues. So I've been pretty busy the last 2 weeks.
Btw, I decided to do shoutouts at the bottom so…look there. I HAVE NOT FORGOTTEN YOU!
Now, I got a review from mahiGirl (guest) asking me how the police could have gotten Zach's information because they don't have that kind of clearance. I actually wanted to thank you for pointing that out to me. Technically you are right. But maybe it COULD happen. SO, for the purposes of this story, just "suspend all disbelief" so to speak and just kinda let it slide okay? But thank you so much for that. It shows me that people actually take the time to read through and think about my story ;-)
SPECIAL THANKS TO:mahiGirl (guest) and Crazy for Goode. I used both the ideas in your reviews, combining them together.
Without further ado…..
The first cop to approach us was old and fat and reaalllyyyy out of shape. We totally could have totally taken him on if we had had to. But we weren't planning on doing that at all, and even if we were, we wouldn't have had to. Because right when the cop was about to open his mouth, he was interrupted.
"Curt. I believe you have other, more important matters at hand? I'll take it from here," The feminine voice said loud and clear, her body behind him in the shadows. She stepped out into the light, her tall slim body, shapely features, blue eyes and blonde hair coming into focus.
"Why don't you three…" the woman trailed off, directing her attention to Josh, Deedee, and Dillon's girlfriend (who's real name I found out to be Stephanie, so I really have to stop referring to her like that…). The rest of Josh's group had been dismissed when the initial wave of police had asked the owner to single out the people involved. They didn't really know too much, and what they knew wasn't exactly crucial information.
"Go over to your friend there and accompany him to the hospital. You weren't really that influential in this occurrence, so I'd guess that you probably don't need to be questioned. However, the police will probably send someone over there anyway, to check on the patient and possible just ask you three some basic questions, okay?"
She smiled reassuringly and gestured for Josh, Deedee, and Stephanie to be on their way. As they walked away the lady took a step closer to us and I examined her even more. There was something off with her, something that, to me, seemed slightly familiar. She looked like any normal 40 year old woman, except like one who actually worked out. But as I looked closer, I suddenly realized that I knew for a fact that she was only 23 (24 in two months and seven days) And then it clicked. It was kinda sad, actually, that I hadn't seen it right away. Because I know that voice, even when it's slightly disguised. Plus, the fact that she was using her Southern accent from our freshman op to Texas (where we as partners scaled a 20 story building, broke into office number 20, copied and then smuggled out on a flash drive all the information on his computer, bugged the office and computer and then hijacked the man's car. All in 4 hours) was a dead giveaway. And from the look on Bex, Liz, Macey, and Zach's faces, they knew as well (even though Zach wasn't there).
The cop coughed into his hand, alerting me to his still lingering presence.
"I'm sorry Elena- I mean, Officer Wilson. I'll just go help Officer Robeson asses the damage…" the cop stuttered and then awkwardly backed away.
Then the woman stepped up to us and cracked a mischievous grin.
"Ahhhhh, good ole' Curt. He gets a bit flustered around me some times. I think he might find me attractive. And really, who could blame him?"
"No one, I'm sure." I replied good-humoredly
"Well, well. Of all the times, places and scenarios I thought I'd see you again in, I never imagined this would be one of them! You guys can never stay out of trouble can you?"
"I guess not Tina." I said smirking (I give up, that boy is such a bad influence.) "Oh, I'm sorry, Officer Wilson is it?"
"Yeah, well, it's not the biggest or best op, but it's still a good one," she said half smiling while answering my unspoken question.
"FBI is tracking down a local drug dealer. I tailed him through NYC and then he hopped on a plane to Roseville. But the police don't have to know that." she chuckled. "All they know is that I'm the new transfer from Texas who is a higher rank then they are. The boss just "retired" so I'm here to fill in his position. But in about a week, I'll be "transferred" again and the boss will suddenly decide he wants to come back."
"Ahhhhhh, I see." said Bex knowingly.
"I guess you're all lucky I'm here to get you out of this little scrape. Come with me to the car."
"Bill!" she called out to the officer interrogating the restaurant owner. "I'm taking these kids to the station."
"Alright Lena. This shouldn't be such a big deal anyway. These stupid skirmishes aren't ever important." replied Bill
"You got that right. Well, see you later tonight."
"Yep." She said walking out of the station with us in tow.
As we piled into her car she turned around and said to me, seriously this time, "It's good to see you Cam. It's good to see all of you."
"It's good to see you to Tina." I replied with a small smile. And I meant it. Once sisters, always sisters. The connection never goes away.
"And its good to see you too Ethan" she said to Zach who just shrewdly smirked in response.
"Likewise"
When we got to the station Tina took us through to the interrogation room. She took Preston's arm and before leading him into the room she whispered to us "I'll take care of this m'kay? No problems."
"I'm sure you will." Bex replied confidently. We all then sat down in those really uncomfortable blue plastic chairs.
Tina was about to turn the corner when she was stopped by a huge burly cop who looked like he could do a lot more damage then the last two.
"Hello Officer Wilson" her greeter Tina in a brusque manner. "Are you escorting this young man to the interrogation room?"
"Why yes Officer Keidat" Tina replied, not skipping a beat. "Why do you ask?'
"Ah, I was merely curious about his interrogator, because, as I'm sure you are aware, Healy is off duty right now, and Kirk is unavailable as well. So who were you planning on having to interrogate him?"
"Well, I was going to take it upon myself."
"Oh, but I thought you did not have specialized interrogation training?"
"Well I don't, but that doesn't mean-"
"I see. Well, it's a good thing that I decided to stay a bit late, because I do in fact have specialized training. So I can take this delinquent off your hands."
"Thank you for offering, but I don't think that's necessary…"
"Nonsense! I'll take him right away. After all, it is an enforced rule that all interrogations should be completed by specialists (A.N. I don't know how much of that is true, but just go with it k?), correct Officer?" he said in an almost threatening manner.
I really didn't like or trust this guy…
"Correct. Here you are then." She said, never wavering for a minute. AS she handed Preston over, she whispered something in his ear, and he nodded to her.
"Be assured that I can certainly handle this. I am sure that there will not be any complications here." The man said as he walked away.
As he turned the corner with Preston he opened the door and walked in promptly locking it behind him.
Kk, so I kinda lied… This chapter didn't have all of the stuff you voted on in depth. It did mention that Josh, Deedee and Dillon's GF left with Dillon to go to the hospital, and that the gang is going get away with it because of Tina… or are they (dun dun DUN!) But I just didn't go into depth yet. I will probably go more in depth next chapter. But since I don't really have the plot outlined AT ALL (I'm more of a just-go-with-the-flow-of-the-story-and-what-I-write kind of person. I tend to write better when I just let myself go wherever the story takes me. You understand, right?) we'll have to see where the story takes me next. Which is kinda hard for you all, so I apologize. :-/ But it'll work out…

So YEAH, there you go!
So as I said above, I was away on my ski vaca this week in the Poconos, and I'm super excited, because in 3 weeks I'm going to Vermont! EEEEEEEK!
Speaking of skiing, I randomly decided to ask you this question…
How many of you ski/snowboard? And if you do, tell me what your favorite mountain is in Vermont, and what your favorite mountain is in PA. I WANNA KNOW! ;-)
THERE IS A RANDOM SONG IN MY HEAD NOW! Guess what it is, and I'll name a character after you! (Like an officer, COC goon, person in Josh's group etc. Just put your guess, and your name (If your not comfortable with giving out your first and last name, or just first, you can put your middle, or make a name up... its totally cool) and we'll see ;-)
**I'll give you a hint. Here is a line of lyrics... "Like the moonless dark... meant to make me strong"
GOOD LUCK!
Love you all!
