A.N.
Hey guys. I know you're probably mad at me. Or you don't really care. Or you're like. Oh this story. I don't even remember it…
But whatever. I'm back. I was super busy with midterms and then had a total mental block and finally made myself sit down and write. SO yeah, here I am again.
BTW NO ONE GUESSED THE SONG ;-( It was Sorrow by Flyleaf LOOVE THEM. I will give you all a chance to redeem yourselves at the bottom, as well as the shoutouts etc.
Special thanks to Sasha (guest) for her idea that the cop should be COC. I was already planning on it, but I wasn't sure and you confirmed my plan!
Here's chapter 2!
CAM POV
PROS AND CONS OF THE LAST 3 HOURS (and 37 minutes):
PRO: Tina helped us out of a situation that could have gone really bad really quickly
CON: It could become a really bad situation once again.
PRO: Sitting in a police station for 3 hours and counting is really good for a girl to do some reflecting.
CON: She probably won't like the things she's reflecting on, as they're probably all ways this could have been avoided
PRO: We were safe in said police station
CON: We were spies in a police station. So maybe we weren't too safe after all.
PRO: The police man interrogating Preston was most likely an unsuspecting cop that would just let Preston get away with it.
CON: From what we'd all seen I had a strong suspicion that maybe he wasn't.
Needless to say, we had a lot of time on our hands. And most of that time was spent worrying about what was going to go wrong. Tina left us after the first half-hour to check the security – a routine check she assured us- but she came back after 15 minutes and was quickly as bored as the rest of us.
The first hour at the station was one spent quietly talking and sitting there. The second hour I tried to take a nap on Zach's shoulder, and when I was unsuccessful, I pretended I was asleep so he wouldn't move (don't judge me. I was bored and tired. And he was really comfortable).
By the third hour we were all a bit restless (more like REALLY stir-crazy) and Zach was getting bored of the thumb wrestling tournament he was taking part in (he had 44 consecutive wins against Liz before she quit and made him go against Grant. He and Grant were currently tied.)
Just when I was about to go crazy with boredom and lack of knowledge we heard a commotion from the interrogation room. We all jumped up and ran to see what was happening. Preston was cuffed to a chair and the cop was in his face yelling at him. It was going badly from the look on Preston's face.
Tina inched the door open and we heard the cop yell "There's more to this story. I know you're hiding something. You tell me or I swear I'll-"
"AHEM!" Tina interrupted. "What is going on here? It's been three hours Officer. Have you learned anything about the situation?"
"Yes I have. He told me the whole story, about how he was only acting in self defense. But he's hiding something! The machine picked it up when I asked him a routine question about his parent's occupations. Why he would lie about that I don't know! He said his father was a politician, which is true. But then why did the machine say you lied." He said whirling around to face Preston, and glaring menacingly, "There must be more to your story isn't there scum!" he spit at Preston.
"No-no. You know as well as I do that my father was the ambassador to Rome! The machine must've glitched or something-"
"Oh no the machine doesn't glitch." The Officer insisted lividly. "I told him that if he didn't tell the truth now, I'd put him under truth serum."
"But this is a small case Keidat. Why are you so invested in it? And we're a small facility. We don't have access to serum. In fact, that's technically classified info. Level 1 CIA personnel only, unless it's a special case. Unless- are you CIA?"
"Rest assured Wilson I know all about the CIA level system. And I can't answer that question, to ordinary citizens like you. But oh, wait-" he said facetiously an insane grin appearing on his crazed face, "You're not an ordinary citizen TINA. So I suggest from one agent to the other, that you mind your own business. Now if you'll excuse me-"
He was cut short by a kick to his side and a Napotine patch slapped to his forehead.
"I was hoping I wouldn't have to do that." Tina sighed. "I suspected he was CIA from the beginning. And I guess I was right. I didn't think he'd be dangerous though."
"But he never confirmed your question. What if he's not CIA?' asked Liz timidly suggesting what we were all thinking.
"No. She said pulling out his badge. "He's Drew Chiari, a revered CIA spy. Actually I believe he was my mission partner I was assigned last week."
"He could still be an old COC member." I said
"Yeah, well, even if he was he's not doing any damage." I monitor all calls and signals that leave or come through to this building. There was nothing. So he couldn't have gotten any info out."
"Yeah, but still…"
"It's fine Cam, all taken care of. So you're free to go. Have fun, go on your date. I'll just program in the facts and I'll leave out the…unnecessary information okay? Relax."
"Alright Tina. Thank you so much. For everything."
"Hey, it's no problem. I'm always up for helping old friends. It was great seeing you again." She replied hugging each of us and then ushering us out the door.
"You too. Bye!"
And we left to try and salvage what was left of our date.
Tina POV
I chuckled to myself as I watched them leave. "I'm always up for helping out old friends." Gah. So sappy. Bnd that's what Tina had said before, so I figured it would help them to trust me. Ha they were so gullible. And now I could report their location back to the boss. It's a shame I was alerted to their location here so late, and that I had no time to disable the cameras, or I would've captured them all here. But when Tina left to check the security, they suspected something was up. I could see the girl on edge, and she would've investigated if I left for a prolonged period of time. So I had no time and had to revert to plan B.
I shut the door and walked back to the interrogation room. Poor Allen. I was serious when I'd said I didn't want to knock him out. But he was jeopardizing the mission. I must've slipped a little too much mental stimulant in his drink. I wanted to give him enough so he would pass out in a few hours, but not too much that he was crazed. (AGAIN idk if that's what it does but go with it) That was an unfortunate side effect. I walked in and took of the fake Napotine patch. Then I slapped him awake.
"Huh? What?" he said groggily as he adjusted to his surroundings. "What'd you do that for? You didn't have to knock me out?"
"Yes I did. I was supposed to knock you out later so I could find a way to contact the Catherine while simultaneously detaining the kids. But NOOO. You just had to go ballistic on Preston. Jeez. So I had to let them go. But the others know where they are so now all we need is bait…"
"How'd you pull this off? And why didn't you at least let me know before hand that I was gonna be knocked out?"
"Because you goon!" I snapped at him "It needed to be authentic. And you still messed it up, so I wouldn't be talking just now if I were you. Now if you'll excuse me, I have to go make sure Tina is still knocked out. Her training was good, but not good enough. By the time she knew I was there it was too late. I had already seen the code and was about to knock her out. Afterwards I put on my disguise, sent out the un-monitered message and went "back" to the kids as Tina. They never even suspected!" I laughed cruelly. "Now, we have some work to do. Next stop- the hospital."
A.N.
Dun Dun DUNNNN! I couldn't resist. No, Tina was not evil. Because it wasn't Tina. And yes, the Officer was COC. So did you like it? Well, there's more to come! Hopefully I'll try and make myself update soon.

P.S.
Now. For MahiGirl: Divergent is actually the name of the book, and also the series. I would highly recommend it. Here is some background if you want to read more: In this book a dystopian Chicago is split into 5 "factions" or groups. They are Abnegation (selflessness) Candor (truth) Erudite (knowledge) Dauntless ( bravery) and Amity (peacefulness)
Each faction practices a certain virtue that they feel will make the world better. For example, Candor felt that the world's past problems were from a lack of truthfulness, so they practice always telling the truth. Factions are taken very seriously as the motto "factions before blood" is often referenced. If you fail faction initiation, you become factionless, which is not a good thing.
Each person born in a faction can choose either to stay or leave to join another one at 16, and take a test to determine which faction they would best fit in. If you are divergent, your results were "inconclusive", meaning that you have an aptitude for more than one faction. Being divergent I rare, and considered dangerous because you are not "loyal" to one faction and do not fit in there.
Divergents are persecuted and so if you are divergent you must try and keep it a secret. The first book starts of with the life of 16-year-old Abnegation member Beatrice Prior as she struggles with choosing her faction, and with her divergence. I hope this helped you. You should definitely read it!
