So sorry for the wait! I would really like to know what ya'll think about this chapter... I think it's one of my favs so far! :) Cheers xo
People always say when you die you see your life flash before your eyes. How you relieve all your good and bad moments. Or even get to see the people who mean the most to you. Well my death was a bit quicker than that. I could hear a high-pitched ringing and all I could feel was pain radiate through my body. However when I finally did close my eyes I did get to see my life. Sam and Dean. The last two people I saw and the only two I would have ever wanted to see. They were at my side as the light slowly went out and the ringing got louder. I only wish they didn't look so sad.
Sam's eyes were bigger then ever, he had never looked more like a lost puppy. He didn't speak. I could see how much he was regretting everything and I knew that would be something he would carry with him forever. Then there was Dean. Brave and quiet Dean. His eyes were just staring into mine like if he looked away I would let go and he would never find me again. He was begging me not to give up but I couldn't hold on any longer. I wish I had died in a more profound or important way but I guess you don't get to choose how you go out.
It felt like forever since I felt the soft kiss Dean placed on my cheek or the light tug of Sam trying to get me up. I remember how cold everything had gotten and then suddenly it was all over. I just closed my eyes and just waited for what ever force to take me. It was quiet for a very long time but then I heard a bird singing.
Light had started to hit my face and it felt warm. The light was getting brighter so I opened my eyes. I didn't know I could still do that! When I finally did I was no longer in the convent dying on the floor. I was laying in some very green grass. I sat up quickly and looked around feeling very confused.
The sky was blue, the sun was warm and all I could hear were birds. I looked down at myself quickly and jumped up at the sight of me. My clothes weren't ripped or soaked in blood, and I was no longer wearing jeans that hugged my legs. I was wearing a knee length light blue dress with a light grey bow around my waist. I turned around quickly and the dress swung with me. The grass was blowing in the wind under my bear feet and it smelled like flowers.
"Where am I?" I asked myself as I felt the fabric of my dress. It was soft and so clean. "Hello?" I finally called out expecting an answer but I didn't get one. "Anyone?" I sighed as I looked up at the sky and the silence took over. It was all very real and for some reason I smiled. Like I was happy or...at peace.
"You look so beautiful." A soft voice came from behind me and I turned quickly.
My heart started to beat when I saw my father standing just a few feet from me. He had a big smile on his face and he looked so content, for lack of a better word. "Dad?" I asked and his smile got bigger.
"Hi baby." He sighed and opened his arms. I couldn't control my feet after that. I ran to him and when I finally got close he pulled me in and held me tight.
"I must be dreaming?" I asked as he stroked my back lightly and I lay my head on his shoulder and hold on.
"Not dreaming." he laughed a bit as he slowly pulled away and looked at me. "My dear why are you crying?" he asked as he wiped a tear from my face that I didn't even bother to stop. "You should be happy." He sighed. "It's all going to be okay." He nodded.
"Where am I?" I asked as he placed his hands on my shoulders.
"I know you are smart enough to know the answer." He sighed with a nod as he looked me up and down.
"Heaven?" I asked not really believing it.
"I know, strange to think even people like us get paradise." He laughed. "Now hush let me look at you." He said taking a hand as he spun me slowly around. "My word... just beautiful." he sighed. "You grew up good." he smiled hugging me again.
"Except for the whole dying thing.." I sighed when he pulled away and took a step back.
"Like I said everything is going to be okay." He nodded wiping the last tear from my face. It was quiet for a minute as a bird chirped in the distance. "I am so proud of you Clara." He smiled I couldn't help but smile back. "Not only are you an amazing hunter but you even got all the way to the FBI." he said with a bright smile.
"How do you know that?" I asked.
"Oh sweets, you got a lot of people looking out for you up here." He chuckled a bit. "In fact some of them want to say hi." He smiled.
I tilted my head a bit and he grabbed my hand. He turned me around quickly and we were no longer in a green field. We were inside of what looked lie a bar. Then suddenly the smell and surroundings jogged my memory. "No way." I smiled looking around. "Are we at the Roadhouse?" I asked and my father smiled with a nod.
"Hey we might be dead but that doesn't stop our kind from jumping from place to place." He winked over as he walked off down the stars to wear the bar was.
"David! About time man." A voice came from behind to bar once my father sat down. "I been waiting forever."
I took a deep breath when I recognized the voices. I walked slowly around the corner and I nearly dropped to my knees when I saw who was behind the bar. "Ash.." My voice was shaky and barely audible. I couldn't believe it. It was Ash! Just chugging back a beer like always. Looked the same as the last time I saw him and my heart started to beat faster when he looked at me with a smirk.
"Kitten!" He laughed as he jumped over the bar making my father laughed. I couldn't move as I watched him land on his feet and shake his hair out of his face. He smiled with a chuckle and opened his arms. "Well what you waiting for! Get over here!" He shook his head at me.
I ran into Ash and held on for a long time. He wrapped his arms around me quickly and laughed as I tried to breathe. He even smelled the same!
"Been awhile." he said once he finally pulled away. "And damn.." he said taking a step back. "Were you this hot when I was still kicking?" he laughed.
"Watch it Ash, that's my daughter." My father barked from the bar.
"Well I'm sorry David but I can't help it. I see a beautiful woman I gotta say it." Ash said and smirked at me.
"Wow..." I said just staring at Ash. " I can't believe it."
"I know what you are thinking, how does some one like me get into a sweet place like this?" He laughed as he grabbed my hand and walked me over to the bar and pulled out a stool for me next to my father. "It's a long story and I'll bore you with the details some other time doll." he winked as he walked back over and poured me a class of scotch.
"Something that surprised me." My father looked over and pointed to the class Ash handed me. "I thought you didn't drink?" he laughed.
"Well..."
"I blame those Winchester brothers... Never did have the best influence on you." My father laughed and I sighed.
"You better watch that mouth of yours." A gruff voice came from around the corner. "You forget those Winchester brothers are my boys." I nearly dropped the class when John finally stepped around the corner.
"John." My father laughed as he got up and walked over to him.
"David." John smiled as they hugged each other and patted each other on the back. "Took you long enough to get here." John shook his head.
"Well It was hard finding our new comer." David smiled as both men looked over at me.
"Hiding again are we Clara?" John said with a smile. That's when I knew something was odd. John never smiled. "Oh come on... After all we've been through that's all I get. A shocked look?" He winked and I got up quickly. I smiled when he smiled at me and when I hugged him he squeezed tightly. "You certainy look better then the last time I saw you." He said.
"A lots happened since then." I added.
"Where is she!" A women's voice came from around the corner quickly. "It's been long enough I need to meet her." A blonde came around the corner quickly and smiled once she saw me. "Clara Walsh.. oh wow." She smiled.
I looked at the women as she walked over slowly. I didn't know who she was at first until I got a good look at her eyes. Bright green, no one on the whole world had eyes like that, other then Dean. I looked at John quickly and he smiled as he looked at the women.
"Clara you never did get to meet the whole Winchester clan. This is my wife, Mary." I couldn't help but smile at her as she walked over.
"It is so nice to finally meet you." She smiled as she pulled me in for a hug quickly. "I needed to thank you for such a long time." She sighed as David and John rejoined Ash.
"For what exactly?" I asked as he pulled away.
"For keeping my boys safe." She smiled as she linked arms with me and walked over next to John and sat us both down.
"I didn't really-"
"Oh don't you start that." Mary stopped me with a smile. "Now I need to know what happened." She said looking over at me with narrow eyes.
"Mary come on give the girl a chance to get used to this." John said.
"Used to what?" I asked looking past Mary.
"Well being dead sweets." David said.
"I've been used to it since the first time I technically died." I laughed a bit and they all looked at me with shock. "Technically the Reaper did kill me..." I shrugged.
"But we thought you just repaired yourself?" Ash asked. "Which is a wicked super power if you ask me." he winked with a smile.
"No... wait I thought you said you were watching?" I asked looking over to my father.
"Well we only get bits and pieces." He sighed.
"Well it was Castiel who brought me back with what power he had left." I said. "Ever since then I've just been okay with it I guess." I shrugged. "I mean we're hunters... old age doesn't really happen." I smiled.
"Alright... then how on earth did you get to that convent?" Mary asked.
"Last I checked you were perfectly safe back at Bobby's." John spoke up.
"Can we talk about something else?" I asked trying so hard to change the subject. "I really don't want to talk about it... all you need to know is that your sons are safe." I smiled. "I mean at least I think... oh God I have no idea." I stood up quickly. "Please tell me they got out in time." I said backing up and looking at everyone.
"Clara relax." John said in a stern voice. "They're fine." He nodded.
"Good..." I sighed taking a deep breath.
"You amaze me." John said with a soft smile. "After everything those two have put you through you are still more worried about them..." He smiled.
"Which is a problem if you ask me." David spoke up shaking his head.
"Oh come on." John sighed. "We aren't going to have this argument again are we?" he shook his head.
"Wait what argument?" I asked looking between them.
"These two fight day in and day out about those boys and their influence and presence." Ash sighed. "Personally I think neither of them understand." He winked.
"Understand what Ash? They are reckless." David said.
"Reckless? If I'm not mistaken they have saved Clara a few times." John added.
"From the mess they created." David fired back. "If they would have just stayed away then none of this would have happened." He huffed.
"None of what?" I asked crossing my arms.
"You wouldn't be here if they hadn't screwed everything up." David said.
"I would have been here a lot earlier if I didn't know Sam and Dean." I sighed looking at them. "You told me to look after them, make sure they stayed together and kept saving people." I said looking over to John.
"Why was that your job?" David huffed.
Mary laughed a bit and I just smiled. "Like Ash said, they don't understand." Mary shook her head and smiled at me.
"You died when I was only 16." I looked over to my father. "Although I am incredibly touched and indebted to what you did you still left me to fend for myself." I sighed. "Then you take off on a crazy mission that you knew you couldn't do alone. You make a deal with a demon and leave your sons alone to finish your work." I shook my head at John. "We didn't have anyone else to turn to. No one else that could understand the kind of pain and anger we faced every day." I sighed.
"But-"
"Sam and Dean are.. were the only family I had." I sighed as John and my father exchanged looks.
"Clara was good for our boys John." Mary shook her head at the men. "Showed them there was good in the world, and everything didn't have to be so bad." She smiled at me. "I watched her teach Sam he can be his own man. That he didn't have to lead the life he hated." She looked back to John. "She showed Dean how easy it could be to get to know someone if he just talked." She smiled. "She showed them they could have their own lives... normal lives." Mary smiled as she stood. "And for that I will always be grateful for you." She hugged me tightly.
"Trust me I am very grateful for them." I smiled at her.
"I've noticed." She winked at me and I smiled.
"What does that mean?" John and David jumped to their feet.
I looked over at Mary. "Do they really not know?" I asked and she sighed.
"I've told them but they don't want to believe me." I shrugged.
"Hell I've tried to prove it but they have a way of looking away just at the right times." Ash said with a wink.
"Because it's ridiculous. Clara would never be interested in Dean. They just aren't each other's type." David said and I laughed.
"Plus I think I know my son." John shook his head. "I realize what you said in that hospital a few years ago but... I mean Dean isn't one for all that." John laughed. "One night stands, and strippers maybe but-"
"John!" Mary barked.
"What just speaking the truth." He laughed.
"Another reason Dean would not be good for Clara... she had way to much respect for herself for that."
"Wow this is heaven." I couldn't help but say under my breath.
"Don't worry Hon, they'll argue for a few minutes then move on." Mary smiled.
"Well if you ask me it was about time." Ash said and everyone was quiet. "You were pining for that boy for years!" He laughed. "Then he goes and gets himself thrown into the pit." He shook his head and sighed. "For a second there I thought you two would never just give in." Ash huffed with a shake of his head. "It was exhausting."
"Well I'm sorry?" I couldn't help but smile at Ash.
"Some men are just blind..." Mary said with a laugh. "Unfortunately my son happens to be one of them." She giggled a bit and John and David crossed their arms. "Oh come on! They've both been after each other since they were teenagers! You can't be that surprised." Mary shook her head.
"Is it really that big of a deal?" I asked looking over to my father who was quiet for a minute.
"I would have preferred you settle for someone outside the hunting world... like a doctor or something." My father shrugged and I sighed. "It just seemed very dangerous."
"But wouldn't you rather see me end up with someone who made me happy?" I asked.
"Dean makes you happy?" Mary asked as she still stood next to me. It was like she didn't even believe it.
"Yes very much." I smiled over at her and a big smile spread across her face before she hugged me tightly.
"Alright enough of this!" Ash laughed as he walked over to me. "You saw everyone, had a nice chat but it's time to go." he sighed as he stopped in front of me.
"Go?" I asked. "Go where?"
"Well back to earth Kitten." Ash shook his head.
"But I died, I'm dead... there's is no way I can get back." I said. "Plus what if I don't want to go?" I asked.
"Hey you have to go. It wasn't your time to die in that convent. You have a long life still to lead." My father said standing as he walked over.
"But my body?"
"Is being repaired." Ash said. "You've been here long enough."
"I've only just got here." I sighed.
"My dear time goes by quickly while your in paradise..." Mary said.
"You've already been gone for almost a month and a half." John said. "About time you got back." He said with a small smirk.
"But I-"
"No buts young lady." My father crossed his arms. "Ash will take you from here. But don't worry, we'll all be together when it finally is your time." He smiled as he placed his arms around me and held tightly. "But don't make it anytime soon." He said.
"We don't want to see you or our boys for a long time. You hear us?" John said as I hugged him and Mary.
"Come on Kitten." Ash took my hand and I sighed. I looked back at my father, John and Mary. They were all smiling and they looked happy. I gave them a sad wave as Ash tugged on my arm lightly to turn me around. "We are gonna take a stroll." he said and once I turned around the Roadhouse was gone and we were in that grassy field again. We talked for a while and listened to the birds and the breeze.
"Ash I..." I started and sighed.
"No need for the apology." He smiled holding my hand tighter. "I would do it again in a heartbeat." he smiled at me.
"But your dead because of me." I sighed.
"And I couldn't be more happy. I got he Roadhouse, cold beer whenever I want, and I meet the more interesting people." He said. "Last week I played poker with Johnny Cash and Elvis Priestly." Ash laughed as he nudged me. "Those dude know how to party." He laughed. "Albert Einstein... That man is amazing."
"So you're actually happy to be dead?" I asked.
"Well I do miss Ellen and Jo, but I'm sure I'll see them someday. I'm just glad I got to see you." he smiled. "And now you can go and fight Lucifer and stop the world from ending."
"Lucifer?" I asked quickly.
"Ah I guess you were sort of in and out by that part." Ash sighed as the scenery started to change. The sky was still blue but the field was now a forest. "You see Lilith was the final seal... and when he killed her..i.e you... he opened the door to Lucifer's cage." Ash sighed. "Set him free and now he's one earth, He found his vessel which makes stopping him harder but not impossible." Ash added.
"And Sam? Is he okay?" I asked.
"You do realized he was the one who killed you... I mean if I ever get my hand on him I'll beat his ass." Ash laughed.
"He was just misguided..." I tried to defend Sam but I didn't know why. I was really angry with him and I couldn't understand why he didn't believe me when I said I was no long possessed.
"Well he is going solo at the moment. Him and Dean aren't riding together anymore." Ash shrugged. "Dean tried but after what Sam did to you... he just could trust his brother." Ash said. "So Dean went off and continued hunting, and Sam well he is trying to get on with his normal life." Ash said and then stopped.
"Why are you sending me back?" I asked. "I can't do anything."
"You can live Clara." Ash smiled. "Don't question it." Ash said putting his hands on my shoulders. "Alright Kitten you listen to me... You go down there, be with your man and try to get those two brothers to see they need to stay together on this." Ash winked.
"I'll do my best, but you know how well those two listen." I laughed a bit.
"Oh about you and Dean..." Ash started. "When you find him... well he..." Ash sighed. "He isn't exactly going to be the same nor will he welcome you with open arms. He really thinks your dead Clara... and he is taking it hard. Drinking, and putting everything he has into his job. I don't think I've seen him like this since John died and he snapped and attacked you." Ash said. "So just be patient with him... You gotta prove right away you are you." He smiled. "Then everything should be smooth sailing." Ash winked.
"Thanks for looking after us Ash." I smiled up at him and he nodded.
"Gotta keep an eye on my best girl." He smiled and kissed my forehead. "Good luck." He hugged me.
I closed my eyes slightly when he hugged me and once I opened them Ash was gone and so were the trees. I looked around quickly and I was alone again. "Hello?" I called out as my surroundings started to get darker ad darker.
"Clara." Another familiar voice came from my side and I turned.
"Cas." I smiled but stepped back quickly. "What are you doing here."
"You need to come now. Hurry." he looked panicked as he looked around and reached out for my hand.
"Why should I trust you?" I asked stepping away.
"I am trying to help." Cas sighed extending his hand. "Clara please." He begged and I reached out quickly. There was a flash of white light and then darkness. I kept my eyes shut and I still felt Cas' hand in mine. "Clara?" He placed a hand on my shoulder and I opened them quickly.
It was dark and cold. The only light was coming from the motel sign. "Where are we?" I asked as I spun around and let go of Cas.
"Just outside of East Mountain, Texas." Cas said. "I believe it was a Windego." Cas nodded.
"What?" I asked looking at him.
"Why Dean came here... I believe it was a Windego." Cas said.
"Why did you bring me here?" I asked.
Cas sighed as he turned and looked up at the motel sign. "Dean and Sam have gone their separate ways. Sam has chosen to lead a normal life, Working in a bar. Dean is focusing on the job, only he isn't doing it for the right reason." Cas sighed. "He won't work anything to do with angels, demons, or the apocalypse." Cas sighed.
"Wait why?" I asked quickly. "Isn't that the big issue now?" I asked.
"Dean doesn't seem to care. He said it has cost him to much already." Cas said looking back at him. "It's been a hard month on him Clara... he isn't handling your death like others he has had to face." Cas sighed as he looked at me and his eyes were sad.
"What do you mean?" I asked.
"I mean he is withdrawn, angry, acts on impulse, and whenever I check in he has a very tall drink in his hand. Now I am not one for human emotion reading, but I know something isn't right." Cas said sounding very irritated. "I need him to focus on stopping Lucifer but again he doesn't seem to be interested." He huffed.
"What do you want me to do... I'm dead." I sighed.
"No you're not." Cas said with a nod. "I used what little contacts with heaven I had to bring you back. All your injuries from before are gone, all that remains are the scars on your forearms." I looked down and noticed the jagged scaring running up and down my arm. "Sam exercised the angel right out of you so you are 100% human... but for some reason you may still be able to see our true forms and voices... just a side effect." Cas said. "Now when Dean gets back you have to convince him to call Sam, and get back on stopping apocalypse." Cas said in a stern voice. "So do whatever it is you do that makes those two listen and do it quick." Cas nodded then he was gone.
I stood just a few feet from the motel's parking lot. I looked around and it was quiet. I looked down and noticed my dress was replaced with Jeans and a t-shirt. I looked down my top quickly and noticed how smooth my skin seemed to be. Cas really did wipe all my scars away. I smiled but it vanished the minute I saw my arms. The scars were long and jagged, little veins sprouted from the side and were red and blue. I sighed and looked back up at the motel.
I started to walk across the street and through the parking lot. I sighed when I didn't see the Impala. I walked in the front door and noticed a tired looking man sitting at the desk. "Excuse me?" I asked and he looked up slowly. "There anyone here under the name Winchester?" I asked. "Blonde hair, green eyes?" I questioned and he just stared at me. He sighed and nodded.
"Room 10." He croaked out angrily as he went back to looking down at his paper.
"Thank you." I nodded.
"Whatever." He shook his head as he turned the page. I shook my head and walked back out the door.
As soon as I stepped out I heard the familiar roar of the Impala come screeching into park a few doors down. That brought a smile to my face and I started to walk quickly. I watched as Dean jumped from his car and slammed the door behind him. He stumbled back a bit and huffed. "Stupid redneck cops." he shook his head. He started walking away as I followed him. His hand was in his pocket looking for his keys. "Told them not to and what do they do..." he laughed to himself. "Idiots." He shook his head as he quickly opened the door.
I was about to say something to him but I froze. I suddenly had no idea what to say. I could just tell by how Dean walked he was different. He also seemed pretty angry. I sighed as I stopped and he slammed the door behind him and I stood in the cold for a second. I took a deep breath and walked up to the door.
I knocked loudly. "Go away!" Dean yelled from inside so I knocked again. "A bit late for maid service don't you think?!" He huffed.
"I am many things, but a maid ain't one of them." I called out and knocked again.
"Oh for the love of... Go-" Dean stopped to the door and when he opened it he froze and stopped speaking. I looked up at him and smiled.
"Hi." Was all I could think of to say. He said nothing and slammed the door in my face. What the hell? I sighed and knocked again. "Dean come on it's kinda cold out here!" I knocked again and I heard him sigh as he walked away then came back ad opened the door. "I-" I was cut off by water being splashed in my face. "Not a demon." I wiped my face and pushed my hair back. Dean quickly pulled his gun from his back and a knife from his side. "Not a shifter or a werewolf." I smiled as I shook the water from my arms and neck. "Why do we always have to go through this every time." I sighed.
Dean stared at me for a long time and I just looked back at him. He slowly put down his gun but kept the knife in his hands. He stepped forward quickly and grabbed my arm yanking me into his room. He slammed me against the wall and slammed the door. He put a hand to my mouth and held the knife to my neck. I tried to talk but it was muffled.
"If this is your idea of some kind of a joke, it's not funny and I will kill you." he said and stared at me. I reached up slowly and place one hand over his hand that covered my mouth and the other I placed on his cheek. It was as if Dean melted at my touch. His hand fell from my face and he tilted his head closing his eyes lightly.
"100% real me." I smiled and spoke softly as he eyes opened and I noticed how sad he looked. His green eyes still staring at me as they slowly glazed over. He slowly put his hand over mine that lay softly on his cheek. Dean sighed and placed the other hand on my hip. "Hi." I said once he opened his eyes.
"Hi." his voice broke a bit and quickly pulled me into him. He wrapped his arms around me and held on tightly. He pulled away slightly and placed his forehead on mine and looked down at me. "How?" he asked softly.
"Cas..." I sighed.
"Remind me to thank him after." Dean said as he slowly walked back taking me with him.
"After?" I questioned with a smile.
Dean wasted no time and closed the space between us. He pressed his lips on my lightly and after a minute I pulled at him for more. I could feel the smile on his lips as he slowly turned me around and laid be down and quickly followed as his kiss deepened. Dean was very anxious, I could tell by how badly he just wanted to be closer to me. He only pulled away from me once and he looked down at me and I lightly stroked his cheek and smiled at him. From then on he was incredibly gentle and it was like we had spent years apart.
"Dean?" I spoke quietly after a few hours had past. We were laying in each other's arms and when I looked up Dean had fallen asleep. He raised an eyebrow and let off a soft hum which meant he could still hear me. "Where's Sam?" I asked and Dean's eyes opened quickly and slightly pulled away from me. He sat up quickly removing his arm from around me.
"Can't just let things be can you?" He said under his breath as he rubbed his face.
"What?" I asked sitting up keeping the sheet tucked around my body.
"Cas... he can't just let things be." Dean shook his head.
"Okay what?" I asked again as Dean looked back.
"Only reason you are here is it?" he asked narrowing his eyes. "To get me back on the Micheal and Lucifer train." he huffed. "Then once I agree he sends you back..."
"Back where?" I asked crossing my arms around my knees I had pulled up. Dean huffed as he got up and pulled his boxers and jeans on quickly.
"Heaven, hell where ever he pulled you from." Dean said as he ran a hand through his hair and started pacing back and forth.
"I'm sorry do you think you're dreaming or imagining this?" I asked looking up at him very unimpressed with his attitude.
"What else could this be?" he laughed. " I mean I saw how Sam left you... broken, bloody and there is no way Cas could have actually brought you back. He said he was cut off from Heaven that's why he couldn't help Bobby." Dean laughed shaking his head.
"Wooh! What happened to Bobby!" I panicked dropped my arms and pulling my legs under me and sitting on them still keeping the sheet tucked around me.
"Oh like you don't know." Dean laughed.
"Dean what happened? Is Bobby okay?" I asked rolling my eyes at him.
"Oh he's fine! He just got himself possessed and stabbed himself. He can't walk anymore but he's fine." Dean huffed. "Okay! I'm done playing this game!" He called out as he turned. "Stop it now Cas!" He yelled.
"Dean stop yelling." I sighed reaching over the bed and grabbing my underwear and bra. Dean still had his back turned as he continued to call out for Cas.
"Cas! Come on! End this dream, or nightmare or whatever! I get it!" He yelled again as I shook my head at Dean.
"Dean stop." I said as I pulled his button up plaid shirt over my arms. I huffed as he turned quickly. "Cas used what power he had left to bring me back." I smiled at him. "I thought you would be happy.. I mean you were a few hours ago.
"Well I would be if you were real." He laughed and looked at me. "Cas! Get your ass down here now!" He yelled.
"Dean." Cas' angry voice came from next to me and I jumped. I looked over at him and he looked back at me with narrow eyes. I looked down at myself and quickly closed Dean's shirt closed.
"You wanna explain this?" Dean said pointing to me and walking over.
"Explain what exactly?" He said looking between Dean and I.
"That!" He yelled pointing to me.
Cas looked over at me and looked me up and down. I couldn't help but feel very uncomfortable. Cas' face quickly turned red when his eyes finally met mine. He cleared his throat and looked back to Dean. "Don't think I need to explain Clara wearing your shirt... I am aware of what humans do." Dean just stared at Cas as he rolled his eyes.
"You know what I mean. Is this some kind of trick to get me on your side? Look I've already done what you asked. You asked me to help you find Raphael... that was fun." Dean huffed as he walked over and grabbed my arm and pulled me away from Cas. Dean's grip was tight and I didn't know what to do. All I was trying to do was keep the shirt around me closed.
"Dean this is not a trick." Cas tilted his head. "Why would I waste my time..."
"Really? Then am I just supposed to believe she is real?" Dean asked shaking my arm roughly.
"Oh hey ow." I said trying to pull away. "Dean why can't you just believe it's me?" I asked with a small laugh. Cas sighed and looked down.
"Because I spend days... weeks screaming until I couldn't breath for you and your angel friends to bring her back. You knew I wasn't going to help unless you got Clara back... nice try you didn't exactly get everything right." Dean huffed as he let go of my arm with a push.
"What?" Cas and I both asked with a huff.
"She looks nothing like Clara." Dean shook his head as he walked by the bed and pulled a t-shirt over his head. I looked at Dean and shook my head.
I ran into the bathroom and looked in the mirror. "Are you on something?!" I called out. "I mean sure I've had a good rest but come on..." I said walking out and standing next to Cas. "I didn't exactly have work done." I said crossing my arms.
"Please... I know ever single scar on Clara's body and not a single one seems to anywhere." Dean shook his head.
"You said you wanted Clara back... unharmed and alive." Cas looked over at me. "So that's what I did. I pulled you from hell, you think I can't heal a few scars." Cas laughed a bit and I smiled as I caught his eyes on me again. He looked away quickly. "Now I realize I couldn't heal Bobby but I thought he could live without walking..." Cas shrugged. "You obviously wouldn't help me unless I got her back so again.. that's what I did. I do not understand your anger. Dean, Clara is very real. Sure wearing less clothing than when I saw her before but..." he looked over at him. "Very real."
"Yeah... skin and bones... all here." I said throwing my arms up and then rushing over to the bed and pulling my jeans on quickly. I buttoned most of the buttons on Dean's shirt and looked over at me. Dean was just staring at me.
"Look.." Cas said grabbed my hand lightly and pushing up one sleeve and revealing the long scars on my forearms. "I managed to fix the other scars but the damage Sam had done was harder to fix." Cas sighed and looked at me with a sympathetic look. Dean walked over slowly and took my hand from Cas' hold. He looked down and ran a finger down my arm.
"Did it hurt... I mean..." Dean said quickly as he just stared at my arms. Cas quickly flew away once he noticed Dean knew I was real. "When Sam... did it hurt?" he asked looking up with big fearful eyes.
"We don't have to talk about that." I smiled holding his hand with one hand and placing the other on his cheek with a slight sigh. "Happened a long time ago." I could just see all the guilt Dean was adding on as I smiled sweetly at him. "That was not your fault. I hate to say it but this is on Sam... and trust me when I see him I am going to have a few words about..."
"Sam's not coming back." Dean cut me off. "He left, chose a normal life." Dean said sitting on the edge of the bed.
"And you let him go off alone?" I asked not sitting with him.
"Not like I was to thrilled to be around him." Dean huffed.
"Why?" I asked.
"He broke the last seal setting Lucifer free, he lied to me, he chose Ruby over me, and worse of all he had no trouble killing you." Dean shook his head.
I sighed deeply and closed my eyes. "Um Dean..." I started keeping my eyes closed. "Didn't you break the first seal while you were doing your tour down under?" I asked and was very hesitant about it. It was quiet for a while before I opened my eyes and found Dean staring up at me with anger in his eyes. "What?" I asked as he stood and pushed away from me. "I'm just saying that this wasn't all Sam's fault." I sighed. "I mean sure if we would have just listened then we wouldn't to deal with this but..."
"Deal with what exactly?" Dean asked finally turning to look at me.
"Well first we gotta get Sam back, then you know... get to work on the whole Lucifer being free part." I said with a shrugged. "Wasn't that the plan?" I asked.
Dean laughed. "No my plan was to hunt... you know do my job."
"Well then who was gonna stop the apocalypse." I laughed and Dean didn't answer. "Did you think it would just go away?" I couldn't help but laugh. Dean still said nothing and I was confused. "Dean?" I asked and he just walked back over and sat on the other side of the bed. I shook my head at him and laughed. "Oh you have got to be kidding! You were just gonna call it quits and wait for the world to burn?" I laughed getting very angry as he kept quiet. "Oh well that's a great plan." I rolled my eyes and threw my arms. "So glad I died for nothing." I laughed and crossed my arms.
"What?" Dean asked quickly as he narrowed his eyes at me.
"I thought once I was dead you would rise to the occasion. Stop at nothing to stop the apocalypse, you know something that is gonna kill half the planet!" I couldn't believe Dean. I really thought he would have been unstoppable. "When did you get so soft?" I asked.
"How am I soft?" Dean asked. "I saw what Sam did to you! I just didn't think it was worth it anymore. I see no point in stopping something that destiny says is gonna happen no matter what."
"Soft." I shook my head at him. "What is wrong with you? I mean yea Sam's an ass but come on Dean! You can't seriously tell me you just gave up." Dean said nothing. I shook my head at him. "Well then it is a good thing Cas brought me back. apparently I got some searching to do." I huffed as I walked over to the night stand and grabbed Dean's phone.
"Searching?" He asked in confusion.
"Yeah, I don't know who you are but I need to find Dean... like the real Dean Winchester. Hunter extraordinaire and you know all around hero who would stop at nothing to keep millions of innocent people from burning." I glared at him as I started to dial Hotch's phone number.
Dean rolled his eyes at me. "I'm not callin' him."
I looked up at Dean and just shrugged. "Alright." I said placing the phone to my ear as it rang. Dean just watched as I waited.
"Hotchner." He answered quickly.
"Hotch it's Clara you got a minute?" I asked and the phone went silent. "Hello?" I asked. "Hotch?" Then the line went dead. I looked at the phone. "he hung up on me.. jerk." I swore.
"I told him what happened." Dean said rolling his eyes.
"Why?" I asked.
"I don't know maybe he and your friends kept calling to talk to you..." Dean huffed. "So I told Aaron and the calls stopped."
"Why did they want to talk to me? Was something wrong?" I asked quickly. "Dean?" I asked again.
"I don't know... They had a case and thought you could help... but that was a month ago." Dean said with a shrug.
I just glared at Dean for a minute. "Okay..." I said placing his phone down and rushing over to grab my jacket.
"Where are you going?" He asked.
"Quantico." I answered with a smile. "Hotch may know something about the end of days. So I'm gonna go talk to him. I'll head back to Bobby's after and that's where I'll be when you decided to jump back on the save the world train." I nodded as I walked over to the door and opened it.
"Wait you just got back and your leaving?" Dean laughed.
"Yupp." I smiled back at him. "Now you do what you want but me... I don't exactly want to see what Lucifer has planned for our planet." I said quickly as I shut the door behind me and started to walk down the sidewalk. I didn't make it far before I hear the door open and a loud sigh come after.
"Get in the car." Dean called an order and I quickly turned around and did as he said.
"For a second there I though you were gonna make me walk." I laughed as I jumped into the passenger's side of the Impala.
Dean started the car with an eye roll. " I should." He laughed a bit and took of quickly.
