Alright I hope this chapter doesn't get to confusing to read... It took me a while but please ask questions or point out what don't make sense!
The air got very cold quickly and I woke with a shiver. I laid on my side and as my eyes opened slowly I noticed something seemed off. I looked down at the bed and it was just springs. I sat up quickly and noticed how dirty and un down the motel looked. I got up quickly and notice the shattered windows and how quiet it was.
"Dean?" I said nudging him before I walked over to the window. When I looked out and saw the run down buildings, the smoke, and how abandoned everything was I was both concerned and confused. I ran over to Dean side and started shaking him up. "Dean! Time to get up." I said and he groaned and opened his eyes.
"What?" He asked as he looked down and saw the springs. "Wasn't there..." he sat up quickly and saw exactly what I did. "What the hell?" he asked.
"I don't know." I said as he rushed to the window.
"Come on." Dean said once he saw out the window. He rushed to the door throwing on his jacket and throwing me mine. As we walked down the halls I couldn't help but notice how decayed everything was. It defiantly had been a long time since some one picked up a broom.
As Dean and I walked through the street getting more and more confused we didn't say anything. I was trying to make sense of this and I think Dean was just trying to figure out what happened to the city. It was quiet for a bit before the sound of shattering glass came from a near by ally. Dean quickly walked over and I couldn't help but think that was a bad idea.
"Oh yeah let's just walk down this creepy dark ally toward the mysterious sounds." I rolled my eyes as Dean walked a head.
"What are you scared?" he looked back with a cocky smile and rounded the corner and stopped before I said anything.
This little girl with dark hair and place skin sat in the middle of the ally. Her hair was over her face and I could hear her heavy breathing from where we stood. "Are you hurt?" I called out first and took a step closer.
"Clara." Dean warned as I started to get closer.
"She is just a little girl." I shook my head. "Sweetheart are you hurt?" I asked in a calming voice.
"You know the whole not talking thing is kinda creepy right." Dean sighed as he walked behind me.
"Whose scared now." I mocked him and he rolled his eyes.
"Little girl?" Dean questioned and that's when blood started dripping from her mouth.
She screamed and jumped up throwing glass toward me. I jumped back avoiding her stab and Dean stepped forward and knocked her out. The girl screamed as she fell back on the pile of garbage and I looked at Dean. "Did you just punch a little girl in the face?" I scolded and Dean rolled his eyes.
"You alright?" he asked as I looked down to make sure the insane little girl didn't cut me.
"Fine." I shrugged and looked up. "Hey, what's Croatoan?" I asked reading he large red letters painted across the building at the end of the ally.
"Oh crap." Dean said when he saw the word. It looked like he knew what it meant.
"What? What is it?" I asked and was cut off by the sound of heavy breathing and people walking. They looked just like normal people only they have pale kind grey skin and looked very dirty.
"We should run." Dean whispered and he quickly took off down the ally.
They seemed to grow in numbers as I ran down the street with Dean just a few feet from me. "Why are we running?" I called out as I jumped over a pile of garbage and avoided one of the people chasing us.
"Well unless you wanna be eat or turned I suggest you just keep running!" Dean called back.
"What!" I called out not understanding why these perfectly normal humans were chasing us. Dean rounded a corner and we were cut off by a fence. "Dead end..." I said out of breath and Dean turned and faced the people who had now caught up with us.
I pulled my gun quickly but didn't want to shoot anyone. They looked normal so why should I. Dean looked over at me surprised I had my gun and before he said anything or I could shoot. multiple rounds went off and the people started dropping as blood flew. Dean and I ducked quickly and started crawling away from the gun fire. It didn't seem to matter the bullets were hitting the ground and things around us as we crawled quickly.
Dean stood quickly and turned to help me up and then pushed me into another ally as bullets hit the wall just above our heads. The sound of people groaning, metal, and music filled the air as Dean and I ran down the ally and once we got far enough away he stopped and leaned on the wall out of breath. I stood on the other side breathing heavily as I looked around.
"Jeez you're out of shape." I teased Dean as he tried to catch his breath.
"Shut up." He said finally gaining his breath.
"What the hell was that?" I asked quietly as we made our way through the street.
"uh... demonic virus..." Dean shrugged.
"What?" I asked as we walked through old buildings and over fences. Dean didn't really explain what was wrong with those people or what Croatoan meant. He just said it was a virus that Azazel started a long time ago and it turned people some what crazy. From what I understood was it was a plague of some kind. The night was quiet after Dean explained what had people chasing us and we quickly found a car. he suggested we find Bobby and ask him what was going on. I turned on the radio only to hear static and when Dean checked his repetition on his phone he sighed.
"That's never good." He sighed as he drove quicker.
"So we go to sleep, wake up in 2014 and get chased down the abandoned street by crazy people and you think not having cell reception is bad?" I asked looking over at Dean. "We freaking time travelled in our sleep and you wanna make a phone call?" I was slowly panicking.
"Okay calm down." Dean laughed. "It's not that bad..." he sighed.
"Not that bad? Are you kidding?" I laughed nervously.
"Croatoan pandemic reaches Australia." A voice made Dean and I jump. When I looked over I wanted to stab the smug angel siting next to Dean and I.
"Seriously." I complained to myself as I pushed away from him. Last time I saw Zachariah he brought me to that stupid convent where Sam was.
"I thought I smelled your stink on this back to the future crap." Dean sighed.
"President Palin defends bombing of Huston." Zachariah continued to read the headlines. He looked over at me almost surprised. "Let's see what's happening in sports... or right there isn't any. Congress revoked the right to group assembly."
"How did you find me." Dean said getting to the point. I knew he didn't want to be around this douche any longer then I did.
"Well I'm afraid we had to use some of our little pawns down on earth..." Zachariah said looking over at me. "You sure did make an impression on Asher."
"You got an angel spy in the FBI?" I asked narrowing my eyes.
"Well I knew it was only a matter of time before you resurfaced and I was just lucky you happened to bring Dean along too." He flashed a creepy smile.
"Okay great you had your fun... now send us back, you son of a bitch." Dean warned and Zachariah laughed.
"Oh you'll get back." he nodded. "All in good time, we want you to marinate a bit."
"Marinate?" Dean questioned.
"Three days Dean." Zachariah sighed looking over at Dean. "Three days to see what this course of action takes you... and those around you." he looked over at me with a wink.
"What is that supposed to mean?" I asked.
"My word you really are stupid." Zachariah shook his head at me.
"I swear-" I started.
Zachariah rolled his eyes at me then cut me off. "It means that your choices have consequences." He looked to Dean showed him the paper he was holding. "This is what happens to the world if you continue to say no to Micheal. Have a little look see, I'm sure you'll have fun." Zachariah winked then he was gone.
"Hey when we get back to our own timeline can I stab him?" I looked over at Dean with and angry smile.
"By all means." Dean nodded as he drove faster. "Bobby?" Dean called out once we finally got to Bobby's. Even his place looked abandoned. "Bobby we're comin' in." Dean said. As we walked in we found nothing but Bobby's wheelchair with bullet holes in it. I sighed as Dean shook his head. "Where the hell is everyone Bobby?" He asked.
"Dean..." I said as I walked over to he fireplace and found Bobby's journal. An old picture fell out and Dean looked at it funny. "Is that Cas?" I asked looking at the scruffy looking angel with a shotgun.
"Camp Chitaqua..." Dean questioned as I handed him the picture and journal.
I watched as Dean looked around and then stared back at the journal. "It say where that camp is?" I asked and Dean nodded. "Great, if Cas is there he will know what is going on." I said heading for the door. When I turned and noticed Dean still in the living room looking at Bobby's wheelchair I sighed. "Dean?" I asked and he looked at me. "He's not really dead." I smiled. "So let's go." I smiled and Dean put the journal down and followed me back outside.
It was dark by the time we reached the camp. There were guards posted on every end and they were all packing heavy artillery. "Alright you head for the main end and I'll go around back." I said and Dean nodded. I half expected an argument but I could tell Dean just wanted answers and this was the fastest way.
I made my way around back and sighed when I saw the three guards pacing back and forth making small talk. I took a deep breath and picked up a rock and threw it far away to distracted them. Once they headed off toward the noise I quickly ran and headed for the gate where there was a big enough opening. Once I got past the gate I made my way to the front. The sun was slowly coming up as I waited near the entrance for Dean to show up.
"Clara?" A confused voice came out of the blue and when I turned there was a short scruffy man standing behind me with a clip board and a very odd look on his face. "What are you doing out here?" he asked.
"Um... I...I.." I had no idea what to say.
"Shouldn't you be out on a mission right now? I thought Dean sent you out last night?" The man asked.
"I came back?" I said it coming out more of a question.
"Chuck!" Another voice yelled and 'Chuck' jumped. I looked at him and wondered if he was the prophet that wrote the Supernatural book. Soon the person who called for Chuck came into sighed.
"Derek?" I questioned as he walked over. He too looked a bit different. He was unshaven and seemed to be bigger in the muscle department.
"Clara." He smiled. "Back already?" he asked.
"Um.. yes." I shrugged.
"Then what are you doing out here?" He laughed. "Shouldn't you be with Cas?" Derek laughed.
"Yes!" I said loudly and the cleared my throat. " I was actually looking for him... you seen him around?" I asked with a smile.
"Yea he just walked into your cabin." Derek said.
"Great... I'm just gonna..." I started to back up as I tried to think of something else to say. "Yea..." and I took off quickly.
Trading lines with his clone was not something Dean ever thought he would ever do. But there he was handcuffed to a pole as he argued with his future self. Future!Dean filled him in on just about everything that has happened in the last five years. Dean couldn't believe that he was the leader of a group of survivors. Once his future self had gone on a run Dean quickly started to plan his escape. He needed to find Clara, call Zachariah and get the hell out of this nightmare.
Once he was free Dean took off to find Cas. he had run into Chuck on the way and he told Dean where to find Cas. He had to dodge a punch from one really angry chick who accused him of staying with someone else the night before. When he got to the cabin just a few down from his there was no door to knock on, just strings of beads. He walked in a saw Cas in the corner popping some pills into his mouth and letting out a small laugh.
"Cas?" Dean asked and Cas didn't turn around. Just from Cas' posture and his clothing Dean was confused. "What are you a hippy?" he asked once he heard the bohemian music in the background.
Cas sighed with a laughed. " I thought you were over trying to label me..." He stretched and slowly trned.
"Cas we gotta talk..."
"Wooh strange!" Cas' eyes opened a bit and looked Dean up and down.
"What?" Dean asked.
"You... are not you, not now you anyways." Cas said.
"No. Yes... yes exactly." Dean nodded.
"What year are you from?" Cas asked taking a small step back.
"2009." Dean answered.
"Wow.. simpler times." Cas laughed. "Who did this to you? Zachariah?" Cas asked after a pause.
"Yes." Dean answered with a quick nod.
"Wow... interesting." Cas said tapping his chin.
"Oh yea it's freaking fascinating." Dean rolled his eyes. "Now... why don't you strap on your angel wings and you can zap us back." Dean said with a class and Cas laughed.
"You know I wish I could just strap on my wings...but um... sorry no nice." Cas smiled and kept laughing.
"What are you stoned?" Dean asked.
"Generally yeah." he sighed.
"What happened to you?" Dean asked looking over his friend and barley recognizing him.
"Life." Cas asked with a sighed. "You said zap us back... who's us?" Cas asked after taking a few more pills.
"Clara and me... who else." Dean sighed.
"Clara is with you?" Cas asked turning around and facing him with big eyes.
"Well not at the moment... but she has to be somewhere." Dean shrugged.
"Well this is going to be interesting." Cas sighed.
"Why?" Dean asked and was quickly given the answer.
"You know you can have at least helped me unpack the truck... the drugs could have waited like a second." A small laugh came from a women as she came up the stairs.
"Uh oh..." Cas looked down and Dean looked to him.
Dean looked over at Cas and when Dean looked back a the door he was confused. Standing just at the door was Clara only it wasn't his Clara. He looked her up and down. Dark blue ripped skinny jeans, tank top and a jacket over top, and a gun in one hand and a bottle of pills in the other. Her hair was light blonde and pulled into a neat ponytail. She looked tired and just very different.
"Dean?" She questioned. "What are you doing here?" She asked as she walked over and handed the bottle of pills to Cas. "We almost got ambushed for those and you leave them in the truck? What's wrong with you?" She laughed. Cas looked up at her and Dean was confused at the pure amazement in his eyes as he looked at Clara.
Then before Dean said anything Clara smiled at Cas, grabbed his shirt and pulled him into her. She quickly kissed Cas and he had no trouble kissing back. Dean was frozen in his stop watching Clara make out with Cas right in front of his. "Hey." Dean barked and Clara and Cas separated and Dean just stared at Cas.
"What?" Cas sighed.
"Shouldn't out you be out?" Clara glared at Dean with anger in her eyes.
"What the hell was that?" Dean snapped looking to Clara.
"Um I doubt I have to explain what a kiss is to you Dean..." Clara was confused. "Come on... everyone knows you spent the night in Jane's cabin." She rolled her eyes at him as she walked over to bed and threw her jacket on it.
"Why are you kissing him in the first place?" Dean asked before Cas could say anything.
Clara laughed. "Oh you know what Dean climb off your high horse. You and me haven't been together in a long time and I don't think I need to explain my self again... especially to you." Clara barked at him shaking her head. Dean stood in shock looking between Clara and Cas. His eyes wide and his mouth open. He wanted to say something but he wasn't sure of what it was. "Why are you looking at us like that?" Clara raised her voice and Cas finally chimed in.
"Uh Love..." He stepped next to Clara. "That's not Dean.."
"Love?" Dean questioned a little creeped out by the nickname.
"What are you talking about I'm not blind Cas..." She rolled her eyes.
"Granted he may look a lot like Dean but um... he's from 2009." Cas sighed and looked at Clara who just sighed and rubbed her head.
"2009? Wow... okay..." She sighed. "Sorry for snapping at you..." She laughed a bit. "It's just things are very different from 2009." Clara shrugged.
"Yeah I can see that." Dean's voice was loud.
"Hey in my defence that isn't all my fault." Clara snapped back.
"How is this my fault?" Dean asked as he gestured to her and Cas.
"You're the one who decided I wasn't good enough for you anymore." Clara shook her head at Dean. He didn't know what to say to that.
As I made my way over to the Cabin where Cas was supposed to be the sound of a truck coming in made me stop. I watched as Dean and another man came out toasted with a beer. I quickly walked over to him and he looked over at me with confusion.
"I need to talk to you." I said quickly and Dean looked at me funny, what the hell happened in the small time we were apart? He looked very different.
"Yeah." he took a drink of his beer. "One thing first." he said taking his gun out and turning to the man across from him. Without warning he shot the man in the back of the head and I jumped.
"What the hell!" I yelled at him and punched him. Everyone looked at me like I was the crazy one.
"Come on." Dean grabbed my arm and pulled me toward a cabin. He opened the door and pushed me inside.
"Jesus.. what has gotten into you?" I asked as I stumbled back but kept my footing.
"What was that?" He barked at me. "Look you may not agree with how I put down Croats but you better learn to deal with it cause it ain't gonna change." Dean barked and I just stared at him.
I took a deep breath just to calm down. "Okay two things... one what's a Croat? And two who the hell do you think you are!?" I asked with a laughed.
Dean opened his mouth to say something but he stopped and looked at me. "Show me your arms." He demanded.
"huh?" I questioned but he grabbed my arm and forced up the sleeve and saw the scars left by Sam.
"2009?" He whispered and looked up at me. I didn't even get to answer before he smiled. "Great, I can do this then." He said pulling my arms in and quickly putting his arms around my waist and closing the space between us with a very passionate and eager kiss.
I wanted to pull away and ask him what the hell was going on but a kiss like that was hard to break. He back be into the wall and pushed up against me. Dean hadn't kissed me like that in a while and I really didn't want him to stop.
"Seriously..." Dean's voice broke our connection only not the Dean I was kissing. I looked over and standing at the door were Dean, Cas and a replica of me.
I pushed away from the Dean holding me and looked over at myself. "What the hell is going on?" I asked in a panic as both Deans stared at me.
"I should ask the same thing." The other version of me asked with a laugh and looked at the Dean behind me.
"Hey she doesn't hate me." He laughed.
"Hate you... why would I hate you?" I asked looking over to the Dean behind me that was just staring daggers at Cas and the other me. "You know what no! It has been a very confusing few days so why don't you just tell me what's going on." I sighed and looked to Dean.
"Well that's me in the year 2014, that's you in 2014, and that's Cas in 2014." Dean sighed as he walked over to me quickly separating Future!Dean and I. "Turns out I'm an asshole." Dean sighed looking over to the other me.
"An Asshole?" Future!Dean scoffed. "What the hell did you tell him Clara?" He said looking over at her with anger.
"The truth." She flashed a cocky smile. "I wouldn't get used to that version of him..." She said looking at me and pointing to Dean. "Cause he doesn't last long." She rolled her eyes. "He however..." She said looking to Future!Dean. "Is a spineless, loud mouth, unfaithful liar." Future!Clara smiled over at me.
Then Future!Dean laughed. "This coming from the queen of lies...oh you know and murder." He laughed. I watched as Cas stood straighter looking like he was ready to defend Future me.
"Ha Screw you." Future!Clara shook her head.
"You already did sweetheart." Future!Dean winked.
"Son of a bitch." Future!Clara stepped forward ready to throw a punch.
That's when Cas stepped in."Maybe we should go..." He said taking Future!Clara's hand. "Our fearless leader has other things to tend to." Cas shook his head at all of us and walked out along with my future self.
I looked between the two Deans and suddenly knew which one was which. Not just by their clothes or that one hadn't shaven in a few days, but how they stood and their eyes. Future!Dean's eyes were cold, shifty and very uneasy. He stood straight with both hands balled at his side, like he was ready to fight all the time. All around he just looked sad and angry at the same time.
"What was that all about?" I asked looking to my side where Dean just looked down.
"That's not important." Future!Dean barked at me.
"Okay then how about we talk about the guy you just blew away." I said crossing my arms getting tired of this Dean's attitude.
"Common courtesy around here sweetheart." He rolled his eyes and I clenched my jaw. For some reason I hated how he spoke.
"Shooting a guy in the back of the head is common courtesy!" I could help but raise my voice.
"You shot him in cold blood?" Dean sounded like he didn't believe what he had done.
Future!Dean shook his head at us. "We were in the middle of a quarantine zone... We got ambushed, and he got infected. It wouldn't be long before he flipped." He spoke more to Dean.
"How do you know?" Dean asked.
"Cause after a few years of this...I know. I started seeing symptoms about a half an hour ago... I didn't see the point in troubling a good man with bad news." Future!Dean spoke and I really hated how he talked down to Dean and I.
I stood back and shook my head. I let off a laugh and both Dean's looked at me. "Troubling a good man?" I asked shaking my head. "Man, 2014 has not been good to you." I shook my head at Future!Dean.
"Get out." Future!Dean ordered.
"Why?" I questioned.
"Incase you haven't noticed this isn't your time and I just so happen to be in charge so... get out." He said louder pointing to the door.
"Or what? You gonna shoot me too?" I asked staring him down.
"You wish." He said under his breath.
"Okay that's enough." Dean huffed. "You two sound like a bitter married couple." Dean sighed.
"Trust me far from it." Future!Dean eyed me and I rolled me eyes.
"Alright then what did I do?" I laughed. " I must have done something... or did you screw up."
"I don't have time for this. Why don't you go ask yourself." Future!Dean pointed to the door.
"Fine." I huffed rolling my eyes.
I didn't want to be there anymore anyways. As I walked out I didn't even bother to look back. I walked out and I could see myself standing outside of a cabin. It looked like she was waiting. "He kick you out?" She called out once she saw me. I stopped and nodded.
"You wanna tell me why?" I asked her and she sighed.
"Come on." She said waving me into her cabin. I walked up the stairs and followed her inside. I nearly started laughing when I saw Cas sitting on the floor stretching. When he looked up at me he smiled.
"Been wondering when you would make your way this way." He winked at me as he stood.
"Cas get your mind our of the gutter for like five seconds." Future!Clara laughed.
"What? A guy can dream right." He winked over at her and she rolled her eyes with a smile.
"Wait..." I laughed. "Are you two..." I started noticing the way they looked at each other.
"Fraid so..." Clara smiled.
"Oh my God is this why Dean hates you... I mean me?" I asked quickly with confusion.
"Oh no we only got together... when did I break my foot?" Cas laughed looking over at Future!Clara.
"Um about a year ago I think." She smiled.
"Then a year ago." Cas shrugged. "Dean's hatted you for like five years now."
"Cas." Future!Clara barked at him.
"What? Not like you don't hate him any less." He laughed.
"Yeah but she doesn't." She sighed.
"Would you please just tell me what happened?" I asked with a sigh as I rubbed my head. This whole time travelling and talking to my future self was seriously exhausting.
I listened as they both sighed deeply and looked down. "I killed Sam." Her voice was like a kick in the chest. I looked up quickly with shock and couldn't speak.
"You..you did what!" I yelled.
"Just calm down...it wasn't her fault." Cas jumped to defend her.
"Yes it was." Future!Clara sighed.
"Well technically he isn't exactly dead..." Cas said.
"What does that mean?" I asked quickly anger quickly boiling in my chest.
"Sam is walking around... only it isn't him." Future!Clara spoke up. "Lucifer is using him."
"He said yes!" I nearly yelled.
"No, he would never." Future!Clara answered quickly. "I shot him first... then Lucifer took over."
"Why did you shoot him!?"
"He did try to kill you... and a few years ago he succeeded." Cas said looking over at me.
"Cas... would you give us a minute." Cas nodded and quickly left me and Future!Clara alone. "Sam and Dean hadn't talked in almost three months. The out break started in DC and quickly spread. Sam sent messages to Dean but he never answered them. The last message I happened to come across. Sam was in Detroit and he had found Lucifer and was going to try killing him. He had the Colt and wanted Dean to be there." She sighed as she took a seat on the edge of the bed. "I must have begged Dean for 12 hours straight but he just wouldn't. He said Sam made his choice and that didn't change anything."
"So you killed him?" I couldn't help but jab.
"I'm not finished." She barked and I quickly shut my mouth. "I told Dean that if he didn't go that I would. He said if I left I would be betraying him and everyone in the camp. But I was angry and it didn't matter to me... I just didn't think Sam should have to fight Lucifer alone. So I went to Detroit." She shrugged. "When I got there Sam was completely alone. He had told Dean in the messages that he had people, other hunters with him but he was alone. I told Sam we would have to be careful about this and once we finished I would bring him back here so he could talk to Dean." Future!Clara's eyes started to get glossy and I could tell she was still hurting from what happened and wouldn't let it go. "We waited till dark. Sam had Lucifer's location from a demon he kidnapped. He was going to draw Lucifer out and I was to take the shot. He made it very clear that I couldn't hesitate. So I stayed back as he called him out. Lucifer had his fun with Sam and when I jumped to take the shot I hesitated and Sam just stared at me. 'Clara shoot me!' he yelled as Lucifer's hands wrapped around my neck. 'kill me and he won't have his vessel!' he screamed again." Her head dropped into her hands with a sigh.
"So you took the shot?" I asked and she nodded quietly.
"I thought it was the right thing to do." She said quietly. "He looked so content with everything. Like he was ready to die and I know he didn't want to hurt anyone else." She sighed looking up at me. "But it didn't matter." She stood and walked over to the other end of the cabin and came back with a bottle of scotch. It was already half empty as she took a drink. She offered me some but I shook my head.
"What do you mean?" I asked as she walked back and sat down.
She let out a laugh and shook her head and took another big swing of scotch. "Lucifer took over anyway. Went into Sam like he was a God damn rag doll." She sighed with a sad laugh. "He didn't have to say yes if he was dead... I gave Lucifer his true vessel and he was very thankful." She took another drink. "Smiled at me and flashed me Sam's best puppy eyes. Said he could use me, told me I could live if I jumped over to his side."
"You didn't..." I started.
"Told him to go screw himself..." She laughed at me and looked up. "He walked up to me and grabbed my arms. Repaired all the damage and told me to go back to Dean and tell him what I had helped do." Future!Clara stood up and rolled up her sleeves. Where I had long scars where Sam had left his mark her's were different. Carved into her arms on each side were large letters MURDER.
"He wouldn't hate you... That's not Dean." I could help but defend him.
"Maybe 2009 Dean would have felt different but 2010 Dean... he saw me for what I was... the bitch that killed his brother." Future!Clara shook her head with another laugh. "Once I told Dean what happened I was all but dead to him too."
"I'm sure if you just apologized..." I had no idea what else to say.
"I begged and begged for his forgiveness and you know what that got me?" She asked and I sighed with a shrug. "Nothing... Said I was nothing to him and that he would never ever forgive me for what I did. Pulled a gun and told me to get out of his face." She sighed.
"Maybe he just needed some time?" I said, I don't know why I was bothering.
"I gave him some space. Left him alone for a few days thinking the same thing. We were scheduled to go out on a run, we still needed to kill the devil... so I went to talk to him." She paused and took another drink and walked over and sat the bottle near the sink.
"Well what did he say?" I asked impatiently.
"He said nothing. Jane and Ressa were just leaving with their shoes and belts in hand." She sighed as she turned and leaned on the counter and crossed her arms. "Didn't even take him a whole day to realize he really didn't need me." She shrugged. I didn't know what to say to that. "Ever since we can barely stand in the same room for longer then five minutes." She sighed.
"So you start shaking up with Cas?" I asked not really understanding how they ended up.
"You know damn well we have always gotten along with Cas... When he turned mortal he changed." Future!Clara shrugged. "He got that stick out of his ass and he was... well normal. Then when he broke his foot he was laid up for like two months. We spent a lot of time together then one night..."
"Okay." I stopped her. "I get it." I smirked with a sigh.
