Also, don't own any of the games and anime I make reference to in this story, but still got to give homage to video games since this is technically a video game fanfiction as well.
Kiba looked at everyone around him. "Alright, everyone got what they need?" Kiba asked, getting nods from everyone.
"Time to finally get out of this joint," Sakura said, smirking at Kiba and Hinata.
Can we really do this? Hinata thought, trembling in fear.
Yes, you guys can." Hinata jumped, finding his vision becoming blue in tone. "Alright, touch the other noobs. I can't make the link with avatars not a part of my account or don't trust me that much.
"N-Naruto-kun?" Hinata asked, watching as the Kiba and Sakura touched the other beginners, finding everyone's eyes slowly beginning to glow blue.
Yep. Oie, Shiroe, Akatsuki, Naotsugu, you all connected? Hinata blushed with hearing Naruto's voice.
Shiroe here. Though, we are in the same room, you don't have to confirm if I am connected. Hinata blinked at a meek voice.
Naotsugu here at the Cathedral with the Shino and Shika. Ready in case some of ya have a Cathedral festival. A joyful man's tone chimed.
Shut it, Bakatsugu. Don't fill the link with your mindless chatter. A emotionless female voice said in Hinata's head. Akatsuki ready with Sasuke, Touya, Isuzu, Shouryu, and Hien. We are hidden within the guild hall, waiting for the escape to start.
Alright. Everyone, you just heard the main operatives of this operation. Shiroe and I will not be talking much since we will be fighting a different battle at the same time. I also shut off the mental links between you all to each other so you don't have the lovely headache I'm going to be having with this. Naruto chimed while everyone looked at each other with a meek frown.
I apologize for Boss. He's horrible at explaining things. At this moment, Boss is using the multi-boxing system to allow us all to be connected. Minori is the only one with full mental link to all the beginners, though she will be using it for the Voice Chat's text box option to give directions. Shiroe said, everyone nodding. As he said, Boss and I will not be able to talk to you all in a little bit. We have our own battle we will be fighting while the escape is happening. However, all you have to do is run for the exit once it is time for hunting. Once you're out of the hall, you'll be safe. At this moment, I have complete control over the Guild Hall Building.
Guild Hall Building? Hinata thought, confused. What does he mean by complete control?
Alrightie. Let the war begin. If you all run into a glitch, let your body go loose and give me control. I can take control of your bodies, but rather not to since I am not used to your avatars. Naruto let out a chuckle. Time for Shiroe and I to clean up Akiba. Remember, if they suspect anything, run for it. Hinata and Kiba, if you have to, use your skills as an Assassin and Monk to paralyze any nearby Hamelin to keep the escape route open. Remember, we have the Cathedral covered, so if any of you died, you will be saved from there. However, rather do a clean run with no deaths.
Boss, keep it down on the gaming terms. However, we are starting our battle on this end. Time for you all to begin your battle as well.
A-Alright. I will do it. Hinata thought, nodded even though she was still trembling.
"Let's head to the dining area." Sakura said as all the male beginners walked out of the room they slept in, all their few belongings within their bags. Hinata saw Minori, Ino, and Chouji nodding at them with the female players also coming out. Everyone had at least one eye glowing blue.
They will know something is up with our eyes like this. Hinata looked down, trying to control his trembling. I know I am weak. I have always been weak even before ending up in this world. But... If I can help the others escape, then I will be strong. Hinata thought, activating his Byakugan.
"Alright! Everyone, eat your breakfast and get ready for the day!" Hinata noticed the Summoner who lead Sasuke and the others glaring at everyone. "We got a busy day ahead of us!"
Should we even eat? Hinata thought before noticing everyone else in the room just standing there. Hinata blinked with seeing a strange green box appearing.
[15 SECONDS. SMOKESCREEN. USE SUPPORT. HEALING AND SUPPORT READY.]
We are... Ah, that's right. All of the high level members are still upstairs. Hinata thought, silently counting down the seconds. She gripped his fist, looking at the box.
"What are you all waiting for?" Another Hamelin member asked, "Or you just want to skip breakfast and go straight to work?" The man chuckled at the group.
"Now!" Minori shouted, several of the beginners unleashing smokescreen balls that caused a huge plume of smoke within the area. "Hinata! Kiba! Cover the exit!"
"Right!" Hinata shouted along with Kiba, "P-Phantom Step!" Hinata launched towards the hallway to the exit to the guild hall building.
"Don't even think so brat!" Hinata watched as an Assassin jumped from the second floor to block them.
I will not let you stop us! "Eight Trigrams Sixty-Four Palms!" Hinata shouted, shocking the Assassin with appearing in front of him. "Two points!" Hinata jabbed into the Assassin's gut. "Four points!"Hinata shouted, finding himself glowing and his movements going faster. Speed spell? Focus! "Eight! Sixteen! Thirty-two! Sixty-four! Wyvern Kick!" Hinata shouted, adding to his clan's technique with the monk's kicking skill.
"Agh!" The Assassin coughed up blood, being knocked back. The man hit the ground, showing a status effect on his HP bar.
"Hurry! The paralysis here will only stick for a few minutes!" Hinata shouted, looking around the area.
"Thanks!" Several of the beginners shouted while passing Hinata into the hallway.
"Stop them! Don't let them escape!"
"Purification Barrier!" Minori shouted, her body glowing while holding her staff out. "Hinata, Kiba, I am covering you! As soon as everyone leaves, we will retreat!"
"No way am I am going my classmates behind!" Sakura shouted while holding a short staff. "Reflex Boost!" Sakura casted a spell, making Hinata glow.
That's right! Sakura is an Enchanter! Hinata thought before seeing Ino right next to here.
"I'm fighting, too! We girls gotta stick together even if you're no longer one, Hinata!" Ino shouted while holding a hammer. "I think it's called tanking, right Minori?"
"Right! But don't worry about drawing the enemy! Just focus on allowing everyone to get to the exit!" Minori shouted, keeping track of those passing here. "Everyone's almost ou-Watch out!" Minori shouted as a swarm of flies hit the area, clearing the smoke screen. The barrier Minori put up appeared, but was quickly cracking.
No! This is not good! Hinata thought, his eyes widen with seeing where the cracks were beginning to give.
"Purification Barrier!" Minori shouted, managing to put up another barrier. "Everyone's in the hall, we need to retreat!"
"Overrunner!" Sakura shouted, glowing while getting Hinata glowing. "Run now!"
"Right!" Hinata quickly turned around and was shocked at the boost of speed he had. "Phantom Step!" Hinata launched forward into the hallway, We are really doing it! We are really escaping!" Hinata thought, reaching the door first and opening it.
"Are you alright?" Hinata blinked, seeing Tohya, Isuzu, and Sasuke helping other beginners who were collapsed on the floor from exhaustion. "Where's my sister?"
"She's right behind me." Hinata said, turning around to see the others run out, Kiba turning around after Minori came out and slammed the door closed.
"We need to get out of here!" Kiba panted, ready to bolt.
"No need. They can't come out." Hinata looked at the grinning Tohya. "Shiroe-nii made it that way. We're safe Minori!" Tohya chimed, looking at his sister.
"W-We're safe... We're safe." Minori chuckled, smiling with tears going down her face. "We did it."
"T-Thank goodness." Hinata sobbed, his knees giving way. "W-we are f-free. W-W-We-Hic." Hinata covered his face as he cried. Thank you, Naruto-kun! Thank you! We are safe! Thank you for saving us! Hinata thought, feeling the hands of his fellow beginners put his shoulders.
You're welcome, but you're not out of the woods till you get out of the guild. Hinata heard Naruto's voice in his head and making him blush. That was faster than expected, but I expect nothing more than perfection for a flawless checkmate.
