When Clara's alarm started to beep and her phone rang she sat up quickly. She looked around the room with tired eyes and for a moment she didn't know where she was. She felt movement from beside her and when she looked down to find Dean she sighed.
"You know that isn't gonna stop by its self." Dean groaned out with a small smirk.
"Sorry." Clara whispered as she rubbed her eyes as she shut her alarm off and leaned over to answer her phone. She yawned just before answering. "Walsh." Her voice crocked.
"Good morning." Penelope's rather quiet tone made Clara sit up.
"Garcia?" She questioned. "It's 5:30 in the morning what are you doing up?" Clara asked as she stood and headed for the door.
"Well we got a case..." Penelope answered.
"Yeah I know... I got the emails last night. Adrian was reading them before I even got to my computer. I really need to put a password on that thing." She sighed with a small laugh. "It's to early for you to be at the office... so what's going on?" Clara asked as she walked down the stairs quietly and turned on the coffee maker.
"Well I stayed at motel last night." Penelope said and Clara's eyes opened.
"What? Why?" She asked right away.
"Derek." She huffed and Clara sighed.
"You walked out?" Clara sighed as she sat down at the table and watched the coffee drip slowly into the pot. When Penelope was quiet Clara began to worry. "Alright tell me what happened." Clara ran a hand through her hair.
"Well Dean showed up... He told me what happened. I am so sorry by the way." Penelope sighed sadly.
"You and me both." She paused. "I take it Derek was not to happy seeing Dean with his bride to be." Clara rolled her eyes.
"Oh no he was not. He made a huge scene and you know acted like Derek has been acting for the last few weeks." Penelope huffed. "So I stormed out. Told him not to call me until he found my knight in shinning armour... the one I fell for." Clara could tell Penelope was stressed and sad.
"And let me guess. He didn't call or even try to look for you?" Clara assumed. "Well maybe you two just need your space for a bit."
"Clara we are supposed to be getting married in a month! This isn't supposed to happen!" Penelope started to freak out.
"Okay!" Clara stopped her. "You need to calm down before you hurt yourself." She laughed. "Look everyone goes through that rough patch in a relationship... you just happen to hit yours a few weeks before your wedding... I'm sure it's happened to other people." Clara tried to calm her down. "Derek just needs to get his own mind straightened out first. He is obviously going through something and when he gets over it he will call you." Clara sighed as the coffee machine finally buzzed letting her know there was coffee to drink.
"But what if-"
"There are no what if's." Clara cut Penelope off. "Like I said before. You and Derek are going to get married and when he sees you in that dress you are gonna make him wish he ever spent time away from you." Clara couldn't help but smile at herself. She took a drink of coffee and felt herself waking up.
"You think so?" Penelope asked her voice full of worry and doubt.
"I know so." Clara answered.
"Alright... I'll see you in a few hours. Thanks." Penelope said before she hung up.
"It is 5:30 in the morning." Dean's grumpy voice came from the bed as Clara walked back into their room.
"So?" She laughed as he rolled onto his back to look over at her near her closet.
"Is there a reason you get up at such an ungodly hour?" He asked pushing himself up a bit.
"Oh you know I try to catch a killer or two by the time the week is over." She shrugged as she walked over and threw some clothes into her duffel.
"Week?" Dean asked.
"Well yeah... profiling people is a lot more time-consuming then tracking a shifter or vamp." She shrugged as she looked around for her towel.
"Where?" Dean asked as Clara sat on the edge of the bed.
"Um... Montello Nevada." Clara sighed as she tried to remember the case file she read before fall asleep last night. "Four 20 year old women... decapitated." Clara looked over at Dean who shook his head. "Not the best visual but... Are you going to be okay for a few days?" She quickly changed the subject.
"I think I can make it." He laughed as he sat up and put his arms around his leg and watched as she sighed.
"I meant with Adrian..." She paused. "I know kids aren't your strong suit but-"
"Hey the kid loves me." Dean laughed. "I think we can survive a few days." He laughed. "Gives me a chance to get to know him..."
"Alright..." She paused as she leaned forward and kissed Dean softly and quickly. "Just go easy on the stories." Clara said as she headed for the bathroom.
"Will do!" Dean answered as he laid back and fell back to sleep.
When Dean finally woke up and got out of bed the house was quiet. He looked over to the clock and sighed at how early it was still. 8 am. He huffed as he pulled his shirt over his head and walked down stairs. He could hear a voice coming from the kitchen and he was confused when it sounded as if someone was singing.
"He said I wanna see you again
But I'm stuck in colder weather
Maybe tomorrow will be better
Can I call you then?
She said you're ramblin' man
You ain't ever gonna change
You got a gypsy soul to blame
And you were born for leavin'."
Dean took a step into the kitchen to find Adrian looking down at a book and singing. He stopped as soon as he sensed someone watching. He looked up and Dean and Adrian held their stares. "Hey." Dean nodded and sat across from him. Adrian's face turned red as he closed the book in front of him. "That... that was pretty good." Dean said and Adrian smirked.
"Yeah?" he asked and Dean nodded.
"You write that?" Dean asked.
Adrian laughed. "No.. I wish I could write like that but no." He shook his head. "You've never heard of Zac Brown Band?" Adrian asked with a shake of his head. Dean shrugged and shook his head. "Oh right... your more of a Led Zepplin, ACDC guy." Adrian smirked. It was quiet for a second. "Clara already left... said they would be gone for a few days." He sighed.
"Well I'm guessing a killer that decapitate their victims isn't exactly easy to catch."
"Wooh... decapitation?" Adrian smiled as he watched Dean stand and get coffee.
"I'm also guessing I wasn't supposed to tell you that." He sighed.
"Well apparently I can read about ghosts killing people but knowing about the cases the BAU works on is too much." Adrian rolled his eyes.
"Well don't tell her I said anything." Dean sighed as he sat back down. They both were quiet for a while before Dean got uncomfortable. "So what now?" he asked as Adrian just stared at him.
"Well in about twenty minutes, I'm gonna leave for school and you are going to find a job." Adrian nodded as he looked at his watch. "If you are going to stay here it's best you don't get bored." He smirked. "You fixed up your Impala pretty well. Built it from the ground up once so I suggest you go see Joe Tanner." Adrian stood up quickly as he ripped a page from his notebook. "He has a shop in town." Adrian said as Dean looked at the address on the paper. "He is looking for a mechanic and if you show him what you did... well the job is yours." Adrian smiled.
Dean looked up at the kid with a curios look. "You come up with this yourself?" Dean asked raising an eyebrow.
"Well Clara sure as hell didn't tell me to tell you to get a job." He smiled back. "You want normal well... this is as normal as it's gonna get, for any of us."
"How did you know I built my car from the ground up?" Dean asked.
Adrian couldn't help but laugh. "I've read the Supernatural books at least three times... each." He sighed. "And I know everything there is to know about the Winchester's and the fight against evil." He paused.
"You know everything?" Dean raised an eyebrow with a smile.
Adrian could tell Dean didn't believe him so he smirked. "A demon possessed a truck driver just outside Jefferson city about three years. Truck ran Sam, John and you off the road." Adrian paused for effect. "Sam was in the driver's seat with your father next to him. You were in the back pretty beat up from the face off you had with Azazel." Adrian said as he stood for even more effect. He watched as Dean kept his eyes on him with a slight surprised expression. "You were the only one seriously injured in the accident. Bleeding in the head and failing liver. The odds were not in your favour and Sam tried just about everything to contact your spirit that was roaming the halls of the hospital. A reaper was after you." Adrian said leaning on the chair and Dean sat back.
"Well you sure have a good memory." Dean nodded. "What was the reaper's name?" Dean asked just trying to see if the kid really did know everything.
"Tessa." Adrian answered quickly.
"Just because you memorize a few pages from a book doesn't mean you know me." Dean smirked.
"I got twenty minutes... ask me any question and I bet you ten bucks I'll get them all right." Adrian smirked proudly.
"Ou cocky.. I like that." Dean chuckled.
"I'm serious." Adrian raised his voice with a smile.
"Alright... birthday?" Dean started off with an easy question and Adrian laughed.
"January 24th, and Sam's is May 2nd." He smirked.
Dean asked Adrian questions for fifteen minutes and he was impressed on how much the kid knew. From cases to other hunters, Adrian knew everything. Dean smiled at Adrian and shook his head. "Alright I owe you ten bucks." Dean shook his head.
"Damn right." Adrian laughed as he looked at his watch. "Crap I gotta go but don't think I'm gonna forget about the money... I know where you live." Adrian shouted as he ran up the stairs to grab his backpack and then ran out the door.
When Clara walked into the BAU it was a typical busy morning. Other teams coming in and going out. Phones ringing and agents running around. Clara took a deep breath as she walked onto the floor and quickly over to her desk. She looked around for the rest of her team but saw no one. She placed her duffel under her desk as she looked around. Her phone buzzed in her pocket and she jumped to reach it.
"My office now! ASAP!" The text read and Clara shook her head when she noticed it was from Garcia.
She wasted no time and headed for Penelope's office. She knocked lightly and walked in quickly when there was no answer from inside. "You summoned me?" Clara smiled as she stepped in to see Penelope. She was pacing and squeezing something in her hands.
"Are men always so thick?" She blurted out after a minute of quiet mumbling to her self.
"Um well in my experience yes." Clara smiled as she closed to the door.
"Not just hunters but profilers too?" Penelope turned quickly on her heels to look at Clara.
"I think it comes with the gender." Clara shrugged as she crossed her arms. "Why what's going on now?" Clara asked knowing the situation between Penelope and Derek had gotten worse.
"He didn't even come to see me this morning! He just walked off the elevator and sat at his desk. No morning Baby girl, not even a nod." She huffed as she continued to pace. "I mean I spent the night in a freaking hotel last night! You would think he would say something! But nooooooo!" She rolled her eyes.
"Okay Garcia calm down..." Clara snapped her fingers in Penelope's face and she jumped with wide eyes. "The team is headed out in like twenty minutes... and I bet the first time you call with info he will grab the phone and apologize until he looses his voice." Clara sighed. "But you walked out on him so you have to give it some time."
"Wait... are you on his side!" Penelope pushed away quickly as she narrowed her eyes.
"Absolutely not." Clara defended herself immediately. "Trust me right now I think he is an ass. But I am not on anyones side Penelope" She sighed. "Picking sides has never been my thing and I won't start now."
Penelope looked down and then back up at Clara with a gloomy expression. "I don't know what to do."
"Like I said before... you both have to work through this rough patch. Sure it may seem difficult now but once you pass it... well you won't have to worry about it again." Clara smiled. "You just need to relax..." Clara was going to go on but her phone buzzed again. She sighed when she saw the text.
"Round table!"
"It's JJ... look I gotta go." Clara sighed sliding her phone back in her pocket. "Just ge through this case and once we come back just talk to him." Clara nodded and left before Penelope could argue or say anything.
"Sarah Jenning, Alex Turns, and Beth Kinney." JJ started as Clara walked into the room. The rest of the team was already seated and looking through the files. Clara sat down quickly and huffed when the only seat left was next to Derek. He looked over his shoulder at her and she ignored his glance.
"All found in remote locations." Rossi pointed out.
"Nevada is a remote location." Clara spoke up with a sigh. "Who ever did this was trying really hard to hide the bodies... I mean look at where they were placed." She said pointing to one of the photos on the screen. "Alex was placed behind a pile of dirt, Sarah was found in the garbage, and Beth she was covered in leaves." Clara sighed.
"Shows he has remorse..." Derek added.
"Or maybe he is ashamed." Reid suggested.
"That would explain the effort in their appearance." Hotch said.
"What do you mean?" Clara let off a bit of a laugh. "Sure they were hidden but he cut of their heads." She said and Hotch looked up at her.
"All three girls had fresh makeup on." Hotch said with a shrug. "Why go through all that trouble?" He asked and Clara nodded.
"The thing that worries me is, this guy doesn't have much of a cooling off period." Derek said and Clara looked over at him. "The newest body was only found three days after the last..." He sighed.
"Morgan's right." Hotch started as he stood. "We should get moving. Wheels up in ten." He said quickly leaving the room.
As the plane started to take off Clara sat next to Reid, while JJ and Rossi sat across from them. Clara took a deep breath as the plane took off and closed her eyes. "They say taking off is the worst part." Rossi laughed. "You have been on dozens of planes how can you still be so jumpy." He laughed.
"I don't know." Clara shook her head with a huff and smile.
"When we land, JJ and I will go to the police station and get set up. Reid I want you to start on a geographical profile, Rossi will go to the corner, Morgan and Walsh I want you two to check out the crime scenes. See if the locals missed anything."
Morgan was about to protest when Clara cut him off. "Sure." She nodded and looked over at him. He rolled his eyes as he went to sit away from the rest of the team.
"You know if you wanted to hide a body there are like twenty easier ways to do so." Clara said as her and Morgan searched the first crime scene.
"You an expert on hiding bodies now Walsh?" Derek jabbed quietly.
"Well I may not be an expert but still..." Clara shrugged ignoring the rudeness in his voice.
"Bet your shady boyfriend is an expert." Derek mumbled to himself as he headed back to the SUV.
"What was that?" Clara spoke up and Derek turned.
"Oh nothing." He nodded with a fake smile.
"Something about my shady boyfriend?" She asked crossing her arms and raising her eyebrows.
"I don't know what you are talking about?" Derek huffed as he got into the SUV.
Clara decided to push down her anger and go along with him. She didn't think they needed to leave the first scene but apperntly he did. She walked over to the SUV quickly and got in. Derek didn't say another word until they reach the other scene.
"Why decapitate them?" He basically asked himself.
"Maybe this guy really hates women." Clara sighed as the inspected the surroundings. "That kind of hatred must be deep." She sighed.
"You have no idea." Derek mumbled to himself. Again, Clara ignored his comment and pushed down everything that came to mind.
Clara and Derek were headed back to the police station once they were finished visiting the crime scenes. They figured Reid would have a geological profile by now, or at least a place to start a canvas of people in a certain neighbourhood. Neither of them said a word to each other. Clara could hear Derek mumbling to himself but she kept her focus on the dusty road ahead as he drove over the speed limit.
"Um..." Clara spoke up as she tilted her head to the side to see how fast he was going. "Morgan you are going thirty over." She pointed out but he said nothing. He gently stepped on the gas and started to go faster. "Morgan slow down." Clara demanded but he didn't. "I mean it... Derek slow down!" She said as he sped through an intersection. "Derek!" She yelled and he finally slammed his foot on the brakes. Once the truck was stopped she quickly jumped out and stepped away. "What the hell is wrong with you!" She yelled while he sat in the driver's seat just staring ahead at the two lane road. "Morgan!" She yelled stepping in front of the SUV. Derek still had a firm grip on the steering wheel and Clara stepped back slowly. She knew he was mad but would he run her over? "Fine." She sighed as she turned her back and started to walk up the road.
Derek didn't call for her until she had gotten far enough for him to snap. He put his foot hard on the gas pedal and sped after Clara. She kept walking but only stopped when he swerved in front of her almost hitting her with the side mirror.
"What are you trying to kill me!" She jumped back.
"Sometimes I would like to!" He huffed as he slammed the door shut after climbing from his seat. He walked around quickly and Clara could see the anger in his face and knew she was either going to get yelled at or punched. She took a deep breath as he walked forward. "You always think you know what's best don't you!" He yelled. "Always stepping in to take the bullet... seriously what is that about?" He asked with a huff.
"Wait... what?" Clara asked in confusion. She thought he was going to lecture her on Dean.
"The first case we worked you took a bullet to the vest, and got up like it was no big deal. Hell you all but jumped in front of that one. And then the second case you worked you took a bullet to the arm." He started. "Every time there is danger you jump in. It's like you can't resist but put your life on the line!" He yelled.
"Okay I'm confused... why are you so angry?"
"I'm angry because you don't even seem to care!" He yelled. "And now that Dean is mysteriously back in town I can all but see you jumping right back into the fire." He shook his head.
"So this is about Dean." Clara rolled her eyes.
"You're damn right it is." Derek said. "He leaves you a year ago and then I find him in my home next to Penelope."
"So?" Clara finally had enough. "Why does it matter to you who I let back into my life!? Why is it so important to you that Dean stays away!? Since when has my personal life ever concerned you!" She yelled.
"Since you started keeping secrets and almost got yourself killed!" He yelled back. "Since you started acting like a different person every time Sam or Dean show up." Derek said. "Clara those guys aren't good for you! They drag you down every chance they get!" He huffed.
"You don't know what you are talking about." Clara said through her teeth as she clenched her fists and jaw.
"Really?" Derek laughed and shook his head as he turned in a circle. "So when you were new and you disappeared for almost a week, that had nothing to do with them? When you got arrested for hiding wanted fugitives, that had nothing to do with them? When you took off for four months making us think you were dead, that had nothing to do with them?" Derek continued with a smirk and Clara just bit her tongue. "Oh and let's not forget The Reaper." He added. "You're telling me they had nothing to do with that either?" He asked.
"Stop." Clara closed her eyes as she whispered.
"That's what I thought." Derek shook his head. "I've known guys like Sam and Dean, hell we have put people behind bars like them... they aren't good people and have no business being you or the rest of our team." Derek shrugged. "So please do us all a favour and get rid of them now... before they ruin your life." Derek huffed as he headed back to the truck. Before he took a step his phone started to ring. "Morgan." He sighed as he looked back at Clara whose eyes were still closed.
Clara tried to drown all the voices in her head out. They were all so angry at Derek for saying such awful things but none of them had a loud enough voice to make it past her lips. She took deep breaths as he listened to him answering the phone.
"Got it. We are headed back now." He said as he hung up and turned his back on Clara. "Hotch wants us all back at the station." He paused once he noticed Clara hadn't moved. "Another girl was kidnapped." He said. Clara's eyes opened but they just stared at he ground. "Walsh?" Derek spoke trying to get her to at least move. "Let's go." He said.
Clara looked up at him and narrowed her eyes. She walked over to him near the front of the SUV and shook her head. "Asking me to cut Sam or Dean loose is like me asking you to break up with Penelope or never speak to your sisters again." Clara said quietly so he would have to listen. "Sam might be gone but Dean sure as hell isn't going anywhere and he is a part of my life. And if you don't like it...well frankly I just don't give a damn." Clara shrugged as she turned her back and walked over to the passages side of the truck. She opened the door and got in. She looked out the window and noticed the wide stare Derek was giving her. "Let's go we got a girl to find." She rolled her eyes.
As the next hours went by everyone was left with questions. Why did the killer put so much effort into hiding the bodies but then put fresh makeup on? Why cut off their heads after stabbing them repeatedly? And most of all why did this killer have such a hate for young women? Many theories were brought forth but Clara was quiet. She kept her head down as she tried her best to ignore all that Derek had said and just focus. She had stared at the same piece of paper for a while now and the others started to noticed.
"Care to let us in on whatever is so perplexing over there Walsh?" Rossi smirked as he leaned forward in his chair. Clara looked up quickly and noticed how the whole team was on one end of the table and she was alone on her end. She cleared her throat and sat up striaght.
"Um no not really..." She shrugged with a fake smile.
"Really? You have been staring at that page for about ten minutes now. You've barely even blinked." Rossi shook his head. "You haven't said anything since you got back from the crime scenes."
"If you've got something... please share." Hotch said looking over at her and Clara sighed.
"This toxicology report. It's Alex Turns." She said lifting the paper for everyone to see. "The corner found nothing." Clara said. "Same with the other girls. All three of them were in perfect shape, worked out and athletic right?" She asked and Hotch nodded. "And yet, no defensive wounds or even a trace of drugs."
"What's your point?" Derek rudely huffed.
"My point is that how could someone kidnap a girl like this without anyone hearing or seeing a thing? All these girls would have fought back." Clara said standing up quickly and walking over to the board. "And yet with each kill the amount of wounds increases." She said looking at the crime scene photos on the board. "And look at the makeup." She said pointing to each picture. "Perfect coverage and the eyeliner is straight." She smirked.
"So?" Derek asked again.
"Our killers a women." JJ smiled as her and Clara stared at the photos.
"What?" Morgan rolled his eyes. "Just because her makeup is applied right doesn't make out killer a women. Plus women are never this violent with their crimes."
"True but no man would ever put that much work into someone else's make up." Clara said. "I mean I dare you boys to try and make a perfect line on your eye lids with a brush or pencil." She shrugged.
"But the amount of over kill suggests a male, and the stabbings as well." Reid said.
"The overkill tells us our killer really hates these women, what if they rejected her." Clara suggested.
"Are you implying our killer is a lesbian?" Morgan asked.
"Wouldn't be the first from the gay community." Rossi said.
"If our killer was rejected this many times it could explain the lack of a cooling off period." Clara said. "She's looking for someone to be with. She isn't a threatening person and she can easily get these girls to let their guard down and once they do it is easy for her to strike."
"That could also explain why the heads are cut off." Reid said. "I mean being rejected sucks but by someone you thought you knew is worse." Reid shrugged.
"So not only is our killer a gay women, but she is also friends with these girls?" Derek asked like he didn't by the theory.
"How else would you get a girl that fit to trust you and not put up a fight?" JJ asked.
The room fell quiet as everyone looked between Clara and the board. She looked back at them and really hoped she wasn't wrong. Everyone but Derek seemed to agree with her. She took a deep breath and was about to say something when Hotch spoke up.
"I'll get Garcia to compile a list of Sarah Jenning, Alex Turns, and Beth Kinney's friends and see if anyone stand out." He nodded as he pulled out his phone. "Everyone else head back to the hotel, we deliver the profile in the morning." He said as he was about to step out of the room.
"Hotch what about the girl that is missing now?" JJ asked.
"Put together a press release asking for information on anyone last seen with her. Just information don't mention a suspect." Hotch nodded and left.
Everyone did as they were told. By the time the team got back to the hotel JJ's press release was already on the 11 o'clock news. All the agents had their own room and once they got back they each did what they thought was necessary. Reid continued to work on the geological profile, he was trying to narrow down the search grid. JJ called Will and made sure to read Henry a bed time story, Rossi worked on his latest book, and Morgan took a shower and tried to get some sleep.
When Clara got back to her room she could hear Reid mumbling to himself from the hall. She smirked as she showered quickly and changed into more comfortable clothes. She had turned the TV on to catch the last few minutes of the late night news when her phone rang.
"Walsh." She answered thinking it was the local police or Penelope.
"Well good evening to you to agent." Dean's snarky tone came from the other end and Clara smiled.
"Hi." She said. "What's going on?" She asked thinking he had something on his mind.
"Nothing I just called to check up on you." He said and Clara could tell by his tone he had a smirk on his face.
"Since when do I ever need to be checked on." Clara laughed as she leaned back on the pillows.
"Um since you became FBI." Dean laughed. "Oh and seeing as you don't have me to protect you." He laughed.
"Oh right, whatever shall I do." She laughed back rolling her eyes. "How are things over there?" She asked timidly.
"You didn't tell me the kid sings." Dean started.
"Oh yeah... listen if it bugs you just tell him to knock to off." Clara said.
"No it doesn't bother me one bit... hell I used to do that all the time, until Sam told me to shut up." Dean laughed but Clara didn't.
"So you two are getting along and everything is good?" Clara asked, nervous as to what the answer would be.
"Of course we are fine." Dean sighed. "He has a whole note-book of questions, and he isn't even half done." He laughed. "Smart kid though." Dean added.
"Yeah... smarter than I was when I was his age." Clara smiled.
"How's your case going?" Dean asked and in the background Clara could hear music.
"Well it's confusing... but we got a profile and we are going to deliver tomorrow. Hopefully we get this women before she hurts someone else." Clara sighed.
"Wait women can be serial killers?" Dean actually sounded shocked.
"Um yeah." Clara had to laugh.
"Well that's scary." He sighed.
"Well best you keep me happy so the police don't find you decapitated." Clara laughed and so did Dean. Before he could say anything else there was a soft knock on her door. "Hey I gotta go but I'll talk to you soon?" She asked.
"Yeah... just don't get shot please." Dean huffed. "Be careful."
"Aren't I always?" Clara laughed as she rolled off the bed.
"No!"
"Bye..." Clara smiled as she hung up and went to answer the door. The smile on her face fell as soon as she saw who was there. "Morgan?" She questioned as she leaned on the door.
"I wanna talk about earlier." He said in a soft tone.
"Well I don't." Clara said and she was about to close the door on him when he stopped it with his hand.
"What you said about Sam." He said quickly. "You said he was gone... what does that mean?" He asked looking down almost like he was ashamed of how angry he had gotten.
"Why does it matter?" She asked with a sigh closing her eyes.
"It does." Derek said looking up at her quickly.
Clara sighed as she looked down. "Sam is dead." She said quietly and her words were shaky. Derek looked up at her with big eyes.
"Oh I... I'm..." He stuttered. "How? When?" He managed to get out.
"A few days ago... look I don't want to talk about this." Clara said quickly. "Good night." She slammed the door in his face.
Derek was left standing in the fall with guilt weighing on his shoulders and regret in his head mind. He had said awful things to Dean and Clara and didn't even consider what might have happened to make him show up. Then he thought about Penelope and how terrible he had treated her for the past few weeks. He sighed as she leaned on the door frame. Even though Clara had shut the door on him he still managed to speak. "I'm sorry." He said loud enough for her to hear.
Clara was leaning on the door when she heard Derek's words. She had tried so hard to forget about Sam and everything that had happened but just like that it was all back. She sighed as she shut the light off and crawled into her bed alone. She lay on one side of the bed looking over in the dark to the empty side.
Tears started to well in her eyes. She thought about all the times she had fallen asleep alone all those years ago and then one day she woke up with both Sam and Dean next to her. She remembered all the times the three of them would talk all night until they passed out. Then her memories of Sam and Jessica hit her next. That night she saw him at that restaurant, it was like she was given a second chance to have a family. But as the years went by that chance and that family started to shrink. Clara cried herself to sleep that night. She kept her sobs quiet, and her eyes shut tight. She fell asleep alone and prayed to go back in time just for one day to those nights when everything was simpler and she wasn't alone.
PLEASE LET ME KNOW WHAT YOU THINK SO FAR! ANYONE? EVERYONE! I WOULD LOVE TO HEAR FROM YOU!
I do however have a question for anyone who cares enough... Do you think the whole team should know about the supernatural and what Sam and Dean really do? Or should it be kept a secret?!
