Chapter 23: I Will Save You

So, Mizore didn't actually injure those two boys? Seems like Kotsubo-sensei is a bit of a liar… should've suspected it; everything he said sounded like he was going for Mizore too strongly. I'm guessing he was the one responsible for the injuries- I'll give him some payback for lying, Tsukune thought with his fists clenched as Moka ran towards him.

"Wasn't Shirayuki-san here just a minute ago?" Moka asked confused.

"Yeah… I couldn't help her, damn… watch out for Kotsubo-sensei. It seems what Ririko-sensei told us a few days ago was correct. I'm going to the direction Shirayuki-san went; just in case, try and find some help, because I don't want you to get harmed if things do go wrong," Tsukune explained as he headed off towards the misty cliffside.

Curving at the end, the cliffside was somewhat stranger than what had been seen before; the unnatural way in which it curved downwards into a tip truly made the environment seem unfit for a human. The crimson red waters and dark clouds, as well as the sheer drop from the edge gave it that extra sense of danger; not that it mattered anyways, as Tsukune saw the struggling figure of Mizore, holding onto thorns, visibly struggling against something. He could also hear parts of a conversation she was having with a familiar-sounding male voice, and the content of it surprised Tsukune.

"That time, you were trying to harass me- I only protected myself because I was desperate!" Mizore shouted through the tears in her eyes.

"Hmpf, you shouldn't complain about what I do to you- after all, you did say that you liked- no loved me, right? That gives me the right, wouldn't you say?" the male voice replied snidely.

"I can't handle people like you who are too serious, and stick around even when they're not wanted. Besides, it'll be troublesome if you start to spread rumours… now, you won't be troubling others, forever!" the voice declared as Tsukune saw Mizore's grip slip.

Quick time! Let's do this! Tsukune said to himself in his head as he started to sprint, making the grass and leaves fly up in the wind. Sliding across the ground, he just about grabbed a surprised Mizore's outstretched hand.

"Hold on, Shirayuki-san. This time, you won't be alone… I'll help you, I'll save you now!" Tsukune said determinedly as he pulled up Mizore against the resistance.

However, large nimble tentacles shot up straight towards him, as he had to swiftly cut the tentacle holding onto Mizore before hoisting her up.

"Don't get in my way!" an angry voice sounded as it grabbed onto Tsukune's free arm.

"You saw me, and also heard what has been said. Now don't feel bad about this, but you're all going to come to the bottom of the sea with me on a one-way trip!"

This guy's kinda annoying, so it's time for payback for all he did to Mizore and the lying as well- energy to arms, he thought as the red demonic blood glowed in his arms, giving him strength. This time, Tsukune was the one who pulled as he brought the mysterious tentacled-figure up from the depths. Wow, is that a kraken? Uglier in real life I guess heh.

"Was it you? Are you the one who pulled me up? You arrogant brat, I'll teach you a lesson you won't forget!" the kraken said with its tentacles hovering menacingly over Tsukune.

"Sorry, Kotsubo-sensei, but I heard everything- the lies, the harassment, everything you've done to Mizore. I'm afraid, it's the end of the line for you. No teaching lessons for you, because school's already up for you," Tsukune replied coolly as he folded his arms, waiting for Kotsubo-sensei to attack.

"It's not over until I say it is- do you think I'll let you get away after all of this. Die, you damn punk!" the kraken-sensei lifted his tentacles and brought it down. But, there was only thin air as he was kicked from behind.

"It's lights out, man!" Tsukune shouted in triumph as he threw a finishing punch into the already-disoriented teacher, rendering him unconscious.

"And that kids, is called retribution," Tsukune said, patting his hands and walking over to check Mizore was all right.

Thanks to me, Kotsubo-sensei won't be standing up on two feet for a few weeks, and he has been suspended. Even better, Shirayuki-san's expulsion was cancelled, and this particular incident came to a correct ending, Tsukune thought as he heard students around him discussing what happened to Kotsubo-sensei. I keep on feeling this weird shiver, and I'm not sure whom it is…

"Good morning… Tsukune…" said a quite voice from behind as both Moka and Tsukune turned around.

"Oh, hey Shirayuki-san!" both of them in reply as they both glanced towards her shorter purple hair.

"I tried cutting it… what do you think?" Mizore asked with a slight blush as her hands clasped together.

"It looks great!" Tsukune complimented as the three of them started to walk.

"Thanks Tsukune, now I feel less burdened…" Mizore said with a smile as she put her arms apart.

Seems like I made a new friend- great I could help her. Wait a minute, how come all the good friends I make are generally female? Tsukune thought, but soon forgot as he was talking to the others.

Hi guys, another chapter. I know the chapter's a bit short, but it seemed like a good place to stop because this is where the Mizore-introduction chapter(s) ends. As always, thanks for all the support, and look out for more to come. Enjoy the chapter!
