Prt. 10
Not to long after the unexpected affection from 13 to her first companion 10, Lizzie finished off her song performance and was greeted by the many tiny claps of the stitchpunks creations. The female smiled and put up a hand to silence them and than once that was done she was ready for comments or concerns the creations had.
"So what did you all think?" she asked eagerly, ready for any negativity or advice the little ones had for her. Lizzie was a very open person and well in the beginning on her career it had been hard to hear times when she was less than perfect she was more than content with it now. Though that didn't mean she was always passive to those who were being just plain rude. Good thing the children of these home knew better as well.
"You were great," 12 quickly answered, getting a smile from the female. Than 11 spoke up and told her that she was stunning as always which gained him a light chuckle to his always complimentary and flirtatious ways even when it was just his motherly figure.
"I thought you sounded absolutely amazing," 10 serenely commented and let the small female out of his grasp when she clearly wanted up now. He quickly followed her lead and got himself up to his feet before continuing, "One hundred percent perfection like every other time. You were born for this."
Lizzie smiled and gave a small aww to her husband's creation and reached out to gently run her thumb over his face with her other fingers resting against his back lightly. Her smile only grew as the seemingly intimidating 'punk relaxed into her hold and nuzzled her skin lightly with a sigh that almost sounded like a purr. For some reason even though 10 loved her husband Marcus like a father, the young male had taken to her greatly and often seemed to really open up around her. Perhaps it was her easy or gentle nature, maybe it was her firm hand when needed or maybe it was just the fact that Lizzie had been the first person to hold 10 and make him understand that the new world around him wasn't as scary as it truly seemed.
For whatever reason, 10 loved Lizzie and she was more than glad to be the face of a mother to him or just the one special friend you went to with secrets that you otherwise couldn't tell to anyone else. It was one of the many reasons she hadn't hesitated to becoming his teacher when the 'punk had asked to be taught in the world of abdicate and proper manners. Funny it was how the female herself had hated them with a passion in her younger days as a child but now was teaching them to something as close to a son as she could ever get. At least the stitchpunk didn't know about her rebellious days were she had actually dressed as a boy and gotten into fights just to prove that a lady wasn't all she could be…
"I think you sounded wonderful too," 13 replied and looked a bit torn as 10 received affection from her own maker. She could see he liked the human and the human to him but suddenly 13 felt a bit defensive that she wasn't being noticed or the center of the pale ones focus so suddenly after how closely he had been watching her for the other hours. It was nonsense yes but the female wanted to stay close to what was familiar and secure to her and that happened to be 10. "Do you always sound so pretty when singing?"
Lizzie gave a laugh and slowly pulled her hand off 10, which 13 wasted no time in replacing like she was trying to reclaim him. Not to ridiculous of a thought when her face seemed to read 'mine!' all over it. The male was none the wiser as he simple returned the tender touches and smiled as the human female watched them with a small pulse of happiness in her heart.
"I try to sweetie," she said to 13 and lightly rubbed 13 on her head with a single finger, which gained a small soft purr from her daughter, "Everyone seems to like my voice so I just do my best and try to express myself through everything I do. Singing is just one half of that." She removed her finger after that and sighed out as she knew in a bit she was going to have to head out for her own work for that day. Rehearsals, costume fittings and song after song; it was going to be a long day.
"I'm going to go upstairs and get ready for my day alright little ones?" she asked and thankfully got smiles and nods from the three males and the one female new to the home. "Alright. Let me get you down and than you're all free to explore around as desired. But no misbehaving from anyone; that means you 10 and 11."
The small glance Lizzie had given the two males was enough to show that she wasn't joking but did smile when both 'punks gave her an expression of disbelief followed by gestured of 'where did that come form?'. She ignored this and picked up the stitchpunks again before placing them on the floor under the table and than heading off the go up the stairs and to the bedroom her and Marcus shared on the upper half of the house.
Wasting no time, 12 immediately went into the living room with 11 right at his heel asking all types of useless questions about how someone supposedly meant to be a teacher could be so simple minded well one with himself was expected to be scouting out everything but when he used it to snoop it only got him into trouble. It was met with a smack on the head and a soft whine from the shorter's part well 10 just rolled his eyes to the display and started to head back into the study where he liked to relax and get away from his brothers. Half way into the walk though the tall male noticed he seemed to have a shadow.
"Are you planning on following me around all day?" he chuckled and than laughed when 13 came up to his side and nodded eagerly. "Aren't you more interested in what 12 or 11 are doing?" He was met with a negative head shake and than he lowered his brows in suspicion. "Well what do you want than? I'm just going back into the study; the place you kicked me off the window and ran around like a skittish cat on caffeine. Not really all that exciting…"
"If you're in there than it's where I want to be as well," 13 decided and placed a hand to 10's forearm lightly, "I feel the safest around you. Promised to keep me safe remember? I want to be with you." 10 was in shock over this and immediately used his own hand to lightly take her hand off him without being rude. He liked her and everything but touches were still a bit off for him.
"So your not…I mean your not, you know," 10 started and exhaled roughly when 13 gave him an odd look for his half finished sentences. He than swallowed down his pride and asked what he just felt he had to ask of this tiny female with the delicate claws and green toned eyes. "You're not at all scared of me are you?"
13 blinked in surprise than quirked her head to the side with a soft smile, "Should I be?"
This was more than the older male expected as his own brothers had been startled when first meeting him but her, this small being had moved right on after the single scare this morning and now acted like there was nothing different in 10 from herself. Appearance was all not nothing in her eyes and it amazed the male that such innocent was truly captured into a being made of fabric and mechanical parts; souls were just that powerful in making a seeming inhuman thing so alive and one of a kind. Whatever part of Lizzie made up 13's new spark was very precious indeed and 10 wanted nothing from her but to make her happy right now. So he smiled and led her along to the study again.
"No…I don't think you should be. I was just curious."
Shortly after this the two were back into the study of one large window, the large bookcase to the back and a assortment of one large couch with a chair nearby with a table between them polished to a fine point. The party aroma was heavy around this single focus room and 10 had always liked staying in here when no one besides his own family was going to be in the house. He let 13 be as she looked around idly as he wasted no time in going over to a cushion which should be up on the chair but the male used as a sit when reading and got himself comfortable as he opened a book he had started the day before and wished to see how it ended.
It had started innocently at first but once again 10 soon sensed that the small female was watching him and a chuckle couldn't be hidden as he lightly patted the cushion in a spot next to him.
"Come here," he coaxed her lightly and wasn't disappointed when 13 came right over and climbed herself up next to him with a small bit of help from his half, "I get the feeling you may be a reader and like this one. It's pretty good and has a bit of everything for everyone."
"What is it?" 13 asked and lightly ran her claws over the page but gave a blank look as she couldn't read it. 10 than gently moved himself to be close to her but still wouldn't have to touch her as he flipped the book back to it's cover to show her.
"It's call 'Journey to the Center of the Earth'" he said well pointing out each word as he said them for the female, "It's all about a man that other's like is crazy but he knows better and goes against everything that is believed and journeys to a place which others thought was impossible. I like it because it's both scientific and has a big exploration in it; I'm parcel to traveling myself."
13 seemed interested right away and 10 had no objects as he simply started over and read from the very beginning so that she could understand this tale of scientists gone obsessed with beliefs no one else cared for, explores gone out to save a friend and the many dangerous and wondrous that could befall a exploration like this one. Before to long the teal-eyed female was resting herself against the flame-tattooed male and even giving off a few spaced out yawns well listening and hanging on each word like they were fact which they almost were to her plain and simple mind right now.
All 13 really knew is that for some reason despite the initial scare 10 had given her this morning, she honestly enjoyed his presence wholly. His voice, his warmth, the odd feel of his fabric to her own…it was like a small need to be close to him and just let him know that she was there. Like he was going to end up needing her more than she believed he needed him.
