(5 Years later-Karins POV)

It's been 5 years since that massacre, since I ended up here, in England. Since I met L.

We graduated from our ninja classes, and have done a bunch of small odd jobs for the community. We've worked as babysitters for young couples, picking up trash, escorting a Duke from another country, and yard/housework.

We are a great team, in my opinion. We each have our own specialties which we play on in our missions.

Today we were told to clean the house of a very important person in the British government. Then Izumo-sensei we had a few days off on missions as he had somewhere else he needed to be.

I took my headband, which had a fancy W on it; off my arm and kept it in my drawer. I met up with L and the others in the back by the lake. We decided to swim for a little while. I jumped right in and splashed L, who was just watching us, crouching on the ground in the way that was soo L.

(L's POV)

I watched as Karin splashed me, then turned her attentions to her teammates, whom she was teaching to walk on water. Karin laughed when Kiro fell in.

*Karin has such a lovely laugh.* I thought to myself. I had a crush on my friend. She doesn't treat me diffrently then she does anyone else, and doesn't make fun of the way I sit. She is perfect. Everything she does if perfect. The way she pratically glides on the water, like a goddess, to her smile. She is even perfect when she sometimes loses her concentration and falls in the lake.

^SPLASH^

Like she did just now. I smiled, watching her laugh and get right back up, showing Akimi and Kiro how to focus thier chakra just right. They finally got it, and spent the rest of the time chasing eachother on the surface of the water. She laughed again, getting pushed under by Kiro.

Suddenly Izumo appeared and gave the three Genin something. It looked to me like a sheet of paper. I was curious, so I listened in on the conversation.

"These are papers for the Chunin Selection Exams, taking place in the Leaf village. Sign them and we will leave in 3 days. The exams begin 2 days after our arrival." Izumo-sensei was telling them.

*I wonder what these Chunin Selection Exams are*

Izumo left, and the three of them dried off. Akimi used a water jutsu tyo pull the water off of her and Kiro. Karin caught herself on fire, but came out of it, unharmed. Which surprised me, she should have some burns, but she looked nearly flawless. I walked up to them.

"What are Chunin Selection Exams?" I asked Karin as she walked up to me.

"The Chunin Exams are tests that every Genin has to take to make it to Chunin. It is suppose to test people, not only as individuals, but as a team as well. I remember Itachi talk about it once. There are 3 tests, each one testing on traits needed to be a Chunin." She told me, I cocked my head, confused.

"How many different ranks are there?" I asked.

"Well, Genin is just the beginning of being a ninja. Depending on your rank, you can get more important missions. We Genin get easy missions, typically chore like missions, like weeding or housework. We can get other slightly bigger missions, like when we excorted that Duke to the palace. Chunins get to lead Genin on missions, and do things like take scrolls to other Lands, or to retrieve them. Then there are Jonin Ninjas get harder missions, like gaurding VIPs or killing other ninja. Then the ANBU, which are like a special police force in ninja villages, take on killing rogue ninja."

"Don't forget the Sanin." Kiro said.

"They are stronger than the ANBU, and can take on rogue Ninja as well, although one of them is a rogue ninja." She replied.

"Orochimaru." Akimi stated, shivering. I understood why, too. They told me quite a bit about him.

They went into thier rooms to sign and prepare for the trip. I sighed, feeling a little left out. Karin was leaving, and I don't get to go with her.
