Chapter 25: Extreme Danger

It would be wise to consider that these fights are not over- after all, except for Saizou, those guys were all outcast ayashi, and it'd be rational to consider them being part of a large group… Tsukune's inner voice said to him as he lay on his dorm bed. Therefore, they'll send more guys after us- no peace here it seems. And I doubt they'll listen to what we have to say as well, Tsukune thought with a sigh. But, you should make sure you improve your supernatural powers so that you're ready for future fights- it'll be an important asset in any scuffle in the future, the inner voice said as Tsukune looked up to his fists. Yeah, true… I can't use it for that long so I'll be completely screwed if I'm against lots of opponents, Tsukune thought to himself as he opened the window and jumped out. The night is a perfect time to practice some stuff…

"Tsukune, what's with all the bandages you wear? Do you get a lot of injuries or something?" Kurumu asked, her eyes intent on the bandages around Tsukune's arms and some parts visible near his neck.

"I've had a lot of 'experiences' with Youkai in the past, and that's all there is to it; by the way, we were attacked by a group of outcast ayashi yesterday, so we should probably be prepared if things come our way- beating them up might have been a very bad idea, especially since there's so many of them," Tsukune stated with a sigh and scratch of the head.

"Tsukune-san, you're right! A lot of them like to scheme things, so you need to be careful of their retaliation," Yukari explained with her hands up.

"It's okay for now… anyways, I'll be ready for them when they come for me. But yes Yukari-san, we do need to be careful," Tsukune agreed his head nodding.

"Damn, sorry guys, this is all my fault."

"Moka, do you know something about Tsukune being attacked by these guys?" Kurumu suddenly asked, making Moka look down.

"Then why didn't you tell us about this sooner- if you hide anything related to Tsukune, then I'll get angry," she said with her face all serious.

"Before you think about hugging me, please think about any injuries I might have," Tsukune said with a smile, but it wasn't said loudly enough as Kurumu wrapped her arms around Tsukune.

"Because if anything happened to Tsukune in a situation I don't know, then I won't be able to bear it!" Kurumu cried, as her face lay right up to Tsukune's face.

My face, my shoulders… oh well, this hurts slightly though, Tsukune thought with a blank face as Kurumu still had her arms around him.

"Moka-san isn't coming in? Taking a break like that seems a bit unusual for her…" Kurumu asked surprised.

"Hmm… yeah, I'm also wondering why…" Tsukune said with a deep look on his face. Maybe something's happened to her?! No, can't be right? We would've found out, Tsukune thought with his hands on his head. Don't take out that possibility, the outcast ayashi are a large and powerful group, so it's very plausible for something like that to happen, his inner voice warned.

"You know, Gin-sempai told us about the outcast ayashi- he seemed worried about it. Basically, we shouldn't get involved with them- they have a big sense of pride and have some very strong opponents amongst them. They're making a team recently, and even the Public Safety Commission is after them," Kurumu explained.

"Even Gin-sempai was worried by them, so they must be dangerous."

"Oh I don't deny that fact, but they're definitely not invincible. When they come for us, we will have no choice but fight. Anyways, I'll go check her dorm out, if the worst does happen, then please do not come to my rescue- I don't want to endanger you guys as well," Tsukune said to Yukari and Kurumu as he jumped up from his trees and went off towards the girls' dormitory.

Okay, she wasn't in her room either, so now it's 100% confirmed. It's gotta be those outcast ayashi- I won't forgive them if they've harmed Moka-san, Tsukune thought with anger as his eyes caught sight of figures ahead of him.

"I'm guessing you're the culprits, right?" Tsukune asked to the figures ahead of him. Except for the centre one, they all had a disdainful expression on their face, showing some sort of hate for Tsukune. The figure in the middle had short hair, as well as long scars across his face; his smirk also seemed to exemplify danger as well. His long open trench coat, and general presence showed that he was some sort of big shot.

"Perhaps you're looking for someone?" he asked with the smirk on his face.

"Yes, you wouldn't happen to know where this person was?" Tsukune asked with his hands rubbing his knuckles.

"I am Midou of the outcast ayashi- you seem to already have guessed that Akahshiya Moka is in our care. If you want her, then come with us, Aono Tsukune," the centre man spoke, throwing down a schoolbag. It was Moka's.

"I guess I don't have much choice but to follow you," Tsukune answered with a frustrated sigh as he followed the outcast ayashi group, and the sinister Midou.

The old school building stood high, although it was in a very dilapidated state and not fit for its original purpose. Inside wasn't much better, with a lot of the stuff being junk that the outcast ayashi were using, aiming some sort of base here. This isn't good… I'm in their territory and I don't really have anybody else to help me… guess I gotta do it on my own, Tsukune thought. Hopefully, they won't notice the C4s I dropped near the entrance- that's what you get for having no guards. After I detonate the charges, run and get Moka, then get out of here- although I doubt it'll go that well, Tsukune planned in his head as he waited and waited for the outcast ayashi to lead him further in. He could see that there were a lot of them here, probably around twenty, possibly even thirty.

"Tsukune! No, you mustn't come here! Don't come here!" a female voice shouted, and it was Moka's voice.

"Moka-san!" Tsukune replied, shocked by seeing her, he didn't even notice Midou's attack from beside him as he went flying into a pile of old books.

"Hey, hey, we had a lot of trouble getting that girl so we can't return her that easily. If you want to take her back, then do it by force, Pure-breed Aono Tsukune!" Midou shouted as his form began to change. His arms became more scaly and his figure began to grow in size- it was a typical outcast ayashi transformation.

"You pure-breed bastards look down on us, so we will make you pay. We will prove that us hybrids are the ones who have a higher worth of existence!" he declared as he brought down his huge scaly arms, releasing a massive shockwave.

Alright, I'll have to definitely avoid his attacks- he's definitely strong as suspected, Tsukune considered as he looked at the deformed figure of Midou, then to the large newly-formed hole beside him on the wall.

"It seems like I have no choice but to use force on you, plus, I am not a pure-breed either. But I'm not going to start judging people on that and viewing them as an enemy- learn to co-exist! And by the way, don't think that I came unprepared," Tsukune stated with a slight smirk as he brought out a detonator from his pockets and pressed down on it. Explosions tore through the walls and windows, showering glass, as well surprising the inhabitants. Now, let's go! Tsukune told himself as he ran towards where Moka was.

Another chapter guys! A bit late I apologise, but it was because I only got onto my computer late so there wasn't really enough time to write up a chapter. Again, this is significantly altered from the original manga, as well as Tsukune himself, so I apologise if any readers do not like this. Until next time, thanks and hope you enjoy reading!
