Chapter 26: Won't Be Beaten
"Fool! You think you'll get past me so easily- obviously you want to die!" Midou shouted; he unlike the others had been unfazed by the explosions. His large deformed arm came at him like a speeding train but Tsukune vanished right before impact with inhuman speed and was right in front of Moka. Midou was left both in annoyance and confusion.
"I'm really sorry about all of this- it's all my fault. If it weren't for my actions then we wouldn't be in this mess. I'm gonna have to ask you for help, just to ensure we both get out, so please believe in me, Moka-san," Tsukune said as he pulled off the Rosario on Moka's chest. I could've just left her in her outer form but that would mean that she'd be more vulnerable- especially here where everybody wants our heads on a platter, Tsukune thought as light poured from where Moka was. Midou himself had just begun to charge once again at Tsukune; his earlier confusion was replaced with a stronger thirst for murder.
"Don't be ignoring me, Aono Tsukune!" he shouted as he prepared his huge arms to attack. However, his attack once again failed as a quick Inner Moka planted a mid-air kick in the right side of his face, sending him flying.
"Trash, know your place… laying your hands on me, hmpf," Moka said with her usual scorn.
"Uhm, nice kick, but just to inform you, we are in a bit of a rut here. There are a lot of hostile people here, and just waltzing out of here may no longer be possible… so yeah, that's the situation," Tsukune explained rather calmly, just as the outcast ayashi started to whisper amongst themselves.
"That woman?! She knocked out Midou-san in just one blow!"
"What the hell is she?!"
"She's hot, and she can kick… yes please…"
"This is a rather unfortunate situation… this is due to your deeds?" Inner Moka asked, staring at Tsukune.
"Yup, but we should probably be focused on getting out of here- in fact, that guy is already back up," Tsukune pointed behind them.
"Are you stupid?! Standing still and talking in the middle of our territory…" the figure of Midou rose alarmingly quick out of the rubble.
"This is payback for the kick earlier!" his fist connected with Moka's stomach as she was sent flying into the opposite wall. All right, Moka just got hit pretty badly, which means that I got to rely on some superhuman powers as well, Tsukune thought as he jumped backwards to where Moka was.
"Moka-san, are you okay? Can you stand?" Tsukune called in concern; the smoke however was obscuring his view. Wait… that aura! It seems like… yeah, she's serious… Tsukune thought with a jolt.
"What's wrong vampire? I thought you'd have put up more of a fight- you as well Aono Tsukune, I haven't seen much either. Unless you're dragging her feet, then you're not needed!" Midou said with a dark laugh.
"But what's this, this aura… that's why they call you a 'true' vampire, Akashiya Moka," he commented, seeing Moka's figure walking slowly out of the smoke.
"A bit slow aren't w-"
"Shut up."
Moka vanished into thin air, then appeared with a kick to Miodu's face before once again disappearing; Tsukune saw Midou's look of surprise as Moka reappeared behind him, and punched him into the ground. Very hard. Cracks in the ground appeared like shattered glass, and once again, Midou's 'followers' were left in awe and fear.
"Taking a hostage, doing surprise attacks… I shouldn't be surprised that it's you inferior hybrid monsters doing it!" Moka stated, distaste for the opponents clear in her voice.
Tsukune heard the henchmen talk about using 'that', and was left to wonder what else the outcast ayashi had up their sleeves. Scanning the area, the most suspicious thing he saw (amongst others), was the overhead pipes. Pipes? Dripping with water, they have to be…
"Hehe, so this is a vampire- aura into power. Simple, but extremely powerful… but, that will not be enough to kill me," Midou remarked from behind, his figure once again slowly rising.
"You vampire bastards may hold the 'strongest power', but you're also known for your many weaknesses… I've researched them all. So, let's see if 'this' is your most fatal weakness, Akashiya Moka!" Midou declared with a defiant voice as the sound of water came from overhead in large quantities.
No, this isn't good, Tsukune thought as soon as he saw the water; as he'd seen before, vampires do not like water, and there was a good reason for it. As soon as the water impacted Moka, sparks flew out like electricity making her fall to the ground- it was sapping her off her energy!
"All this is for you, Akashiya Moka, do you like it?" Midou mocked with his arms in the air, as he swiftly punched Moka in the face.
"Tsukune, don't come any closer, I can take care of this on my own. Your help is not necessary!" Moka stated as she got up from the ground.
"You pure-breed brats really piss me off with all your pride crap. Who cares about all of that when you're in in to win and survive!" Midou shouted in annoyance as he got into his fighting stance.
"Die!"
Tsukune crossed the distance in fractions of a second as he strengthened his body with the demonic strength within him. Careful not to strain your body too much with these abilities, you might just pass out during the fight, his inner voice warned. Have to make this quick, can't take longer than a few minutes, Tsukune put out his left shoulder between himself and the attack; it seemed like no one had realised that he would interfere.
It was clearer now as the smoke dissipated, and Moka could see in between herself and Midou, was Tsukune, and his arm was holding Midou's attack. On his bandages arm, you could see blood. Damn, that does hurt- at least Moka-san is safe, Tsukune thought with a smile.
"Sorry about this, Moka-san, but I can't stand idly by when all this is happening- in your time of need, I will help you," Tsukune gazed at Moka.
Tsukune pushed Midou's arm with a lot of force sending his heavy build backwards.
"Midou-san, I think I shall be your enemy from herein. I won't forgive you for harming Moka-san," Tsukune declared as he pointed towards the outcast ayashi.
"Hehe, I don't know what you are, but it's been a while since I've had this much fun- I will make it hell for you, Aono Tsukune as I mince and smash you up for good," Midou replied, his hands closing.
"Please, be my guest," Tsukune remarked with his hands waving.
"If I can smash the hell out of you, then it'll be another demonstration to those trashy pure-breeds of the outcast ayashi's true strength!" Midou shouted maniacally. His huge fist went into Tsukune, but 'Tsukune' just turned into red mist. From under him, Tsukune punched Midou right in the stomach, creating another hole in the already-damaged building. There was no time for recovery as Tsukune jumped into where Midou was, feet first, right into the smoke, creating even more turmoil. Out of the smoke, Midou flew into a pile of rubbish; his face was covered in blood, just like his body.
"Quick, we have to help Midou-san- get this guy!" the other outcast ayashi shouted in panic, as they all tried to gang up on Tsukune, but they were even weaker. Their bodies were like ragdolls as Tsukune sent each of them flying in every possible direction.
"This all counts as self-defence by the way," Tsukune commented as he glanced at the unconscious bodies of Midou and all his henchmen.
"Are you okay, Moka-san? Wow, I suddenly feel really tired…" Tsukune said with a yawn. Crap, I used the 'extra' powers for too long, Tsukune thought with annoyance as his vision faded into black.
Hi everyone, here's another chapter. I should just warn you that the chapters from here on will have some significant differences to the canon manga (cause Tsukune's not a ghoul). I'll try to make them good. Thanks for reading and hope you enjoy (leave me a review if you can, thanks)!
