Chapter 28: Together

"Oh, I see that you can manipulate bodies as well," Tsukune observed with a sigh as he saw the many bloodied bodies rising up with life once more. As one of them reached out for his leg, Tsukune swiftly moved back a step.

"I can control anyone I've injected them with this finger. There's no place for you to escape- you will die here, Tsukune-kun," the somewhat demented Mako screeched.

It'd be inhumane to slice these guys up, gotta just knock them unconscious or something like that, Tsukune thought as he kicked another of the 'zombies' away knocking it into the wall. However, more and more bodies begin to grab a hold of him, he found movement to be increasingly difficult. This isn't good… these guys just keep getting back up, Tsukune thought with annoyance as Mako smiled.

"Go die, Aono Tsukune!" the fake nurse shouted evilly as her deformed finger sped towards him, imminent on hitting. Before impact however, someone got in the way.

"Moka-san!" Tsukune saw the pink-haired vampire beauty in front of him; she'd gotten between them on purpose.

"Thank goodness, Tsukune… I remembered one thing… that we'd protect each other no matter what…" her body slumped forward, Tsukune's hand tried to reach out to her, but he could only grab onto one thing. Between his fingers was Moka's Rosario.

"How foolish! That stupid girl came here to let me control her- hehe, do you really like my 'injection' that much!" Mako shouted with a twisted smile. Tsukune was left bewildered as he saw the bright light, but saw Moka remain in her outer form, as if she couldn't transform at all.

"It seems like your rescue plan failed- prepare to die!" the nurse shouted with a giggle.

Even worse, Moka was now staring at Tsukune with cold eyes, as her hands got into a stance of attack. Tsukune's eyes widened slowly.

"Now this time, give Tsukune-kun the cruellest death with your own hands!" the excited nurse said from the background, but Moka was shaking, as if she was holding herself back.

"Ru… Run away… I can't… please leave me and run away, Tsukune!" Moka cried out with her tearful eyes as her hands increased in speed towards Tsukune.

"Hehe... it's alright, I won't run. Even if I am killed, I will forever remain, as your friend- death will not tear us apart…"Tsukune said with a gentle smile as Moka's eyes shifted. Closing his eyes, he waited for death… but it didn't come. Instead, in front of him was Moka with her hand stabbing into her side. No way, Moka-san… Tsukune as well as Mako was left speechless.

"What?! Impossible, why did she stab herself!" the nurse screeched in anger like a witch.

"Sorry about that Tsukune… it seems that I fell asleep for a bit. Your voice had reached me even in my dreams. Thanks to you I've awakened… thank you Tsukune-kun," the inner Moka spoke with gratitude and a beautiful smile. Her aura radiated across, blinding the onlookers, and angering the enraged Mako even further.

"Will you stop this already?! How many times do you have to humiliate me until you're satisfied?!" she shouted as her features turned more crooked. In the midst, Tsukune weaved between all the bodies, as he got ready to aid Moka.

"You guys just die already!"

Her face contorted into shock when she saw that she couldn't move her tentacle-appendages or elongated fingers; all that were left of them were bloodied stumps as Tsukune gave her a stern look. This is justice… Without her weapons, she was left completely exposed as Moka gave her a signature kick to her face, knocking her into the walls and leaving a sprawl of rubbish.

"How foolish… you're this weak when fighting directly. The likes of you cannot beat us. Know you place!" Moka stated sternly as the bodies around them fell once more.

After the fight, there was a lot of damage to repair, as there were many casualties as well as disruption to the hospital as a whole. Damn, that nurse killed a lot of innocent people as well… the outcast ayashi are a ruthless bunch by the looks of it, and they'll be back- the scores haven't been settled yet, Tsukune thought with a shake of the head.

"I don't want to get involved with something like this again. I'll be going now, see you, Tsu-" Inner Moka was saying but she was cut off by Tsukune.

"Wait, why are you saying 'see you' with such a cold face, Moka-san… please don't go anywhere. From now on… let's always be together, Moka-san," Tsukune stated seriously with his hand out. After all, I need you in my life, Moka-san…

Hi everyone! If any of you read my profile then you'll know I got a wrist injury on my right hand around ten days ago so I didn't want to be straining it too much by typing on the computer. It's still not fully healed (still hurts when I lift things or put pressure on it; no lifting weights for me lol), but I feel like I can go back to this again. My family are going on holiday for a few days, so I won't be back until late Tuesday, so the next chapter will probably be Wednesday or something like that.
