(Karins POV)
(1 month later)
It is finally the day of the 3rd exam. I was walking next to my team, Watari and L. I felt a little nervous, but I was confident in my abilities.
"How are you feeling?" L asked.
"A little nervous. Something bad is going to happen today."
"What do you mean?"
"You remember how I told you that I can tell if a person is good or bad?" I asked. L, Kiro and Akimi nodded, but I had to explain it to Watari and Izumo-sensei.
"I can read a persons heart, by their hearts color. Most people are a neutral color which means they are not overly good, or overly evil. A really good heart is a bright color and an evil heart is dark."
"Ok go on." Watari explained.
"I can also sense when bad things are going to happen by the color of air around me. The air here is pretty dark, which tells me something bad is going to happen and soon too." I told them.
"What ever happens, protect L and Watari, and get to the safe houses quickly. Akimi can lead you if I am unable to." I told them. They all nodded.
"Be careful Karin." L told me. I smiled and nodded to him. We made it to the arena and my friends told me that they would be cheering me on. Akimi told me that she'll cheer Sasuke on too.
I walked off, as the others moved to where the audience would be. L turned around.
"Good luck Karin." He spoke softly. I turned to look at him.
"Thank you L. I will do my best! I promise!" I told him with a grin as I turned back and walked to where the other contestents would be.
I walked over to where Neji and the Sand Genin stood. Neji greeted me. THe Sand Genin with the gourd glared at me, causing me to mentally shiver. Something was off about him.
Then I realized what it was. He is a jinchuriki like me, a person with a demon sealed inside of him.
He was like me...and Naruto. I could tell my brothers teammate has the Kyubi, the nine tailed fox demon.
I turned when I saw Shikamaru walk over to us. He was mumbling the whole way. All I caught was 'Such a drag' and 'troublesome'.
"Wait a minute. Where is Naruto and Sasuke ni-san?" I asked quietly as I looked around with only my eyes.
Not a moment later, Naruto bolted in like the devil was after him. He slid to a halt right in front of Shikamaru. he was saying something about a stempede.
The proctor told us to shut up and look presentable, for the audience. We all looked up to see 3 large bleachers surrounding us. A closer look told us that there were hundreds of people up there.
After a few minutes the Hokage stood up and welcomed everyone to the Leaf Village and said a few words. Then the proctor turned to us and told everyone except for Naruto and Neji to go up to the waiting platform.
Thus began the 3rd phase of the Chunin Exams.
