(Karins pov)
Finally its time for Sasuke and Gaara's fight! I was looking forward to seeing my twin in action. How strong was he now?
I looked over at Gaara, the boy my brother was to fight. He looks more than ready to fight.
The whole stadium was impatiently waiting for the amazing match between Gaara and Sasuke.
I looked up at the Kages, and used Gobis sense of hearing to find out what they were saying. Lord Hokage wanted to disqualify my brother, but Lord Kazekage persuaded him to wait another 10 minutes.
If he did not arrive in that 10 minutes, Sasuke would forfiet the match.
*Come on Sasuke! Where are you?* I thought to myself, worried that he might not arrive.
After ten minutes, the leaves fell down the sky and out from nowhere, Sasuke and Kakashi appeared in the stadium. I was relieved. He made it!
Gaara has problems from the start, grasping his head and cringing in pain, like he has a really bad headache.
Sasuke, meanwhile, attacks with shurikans, but Gaara uses his sand to create a clone of himself. Sasuke takes it up a notch, imitating Lees highspeed taijutsu and gets a hit in.
Sasuke keeps dodging Gaaras sand to get in another jab, and soon, he starts circling Gaara at Lees speed without his weights. He is able to use his stamina to maintain speed, while Gaara uses up his fair share maintaining his sand armor.
Gaara takes this opportunity to form a shell cocoon around himself. The shell itself is defensive, attacking Sasuke with porcupine like spikes whenever he gets too close. Gaara then uses his sand to form an eye above the cocoon to keep watch.
I watched as Sasuke makes yet another futile full force attack, dodging the sand spikes with his Sharingan.
Since Gaaras not doing much, Sasuke uses this time to set up his new move - one I have not seen before. I bet that this is what he was working on with his sensei.
(Lees POV)
He poises on the arena wall, building up chakra in his arm. Once he has built up a lightning chakra charge, he rushes at Gaaras barrier and punches through with a straight thrust.
The crowd stares in awe that Sasuke was able to break Gaaras absolute defense. Even the Kazikage is impressed. Naruto and I watch with envy at what Sasuke was able to accomplish. I could never learn something like that. Only someone with the Sharingan can see fast enough to dodge the sand spikes while attacking at top speed.
Sasuke uses his chidori to pull his arm back outside the cocoon. Suddenly, a monster-like arm extends out of the hole and flaps around a bit before pulling itself back inside. A terrified Sasuke peers inside the hole to see a previous of Gaaras transformed self. But not yet. Gaara breaks his shell and stands amidst the pile of stand holding his bleeding shoulder.
Suddenly, feathers start gently falling from the sky. I begin to feel drowsy, and soon darkness is all I see.
(Karins POV)
I knew the feathers were a genjutsu. I made my hands into the handsign.
"Release!" I said quietly, and the genjutsu did not bother me in the least. I saw Sasuke go after Gaara, as he and the other Sand Genin ran off. I decided to follow, wanting to fight Kankuro.
