Chapter 22: Jasmine
Waiting inside the dark fantasy of the Celestial Plane was a large dark blue dragon. The large dragon's white eyes held worry and fear as she stared at a specific spot. The specific spot the leader of the Celestial Spirit's promised to return with friends. The large dragon laid in her spot, her large head raise looking down at the spot. Her heart beat in fear as she worried for the different possibilities that could have happened that it would delay their return. Not only that, but she also worried about a certain red head she left alone unsupervised with the water bearer no less. The blue dragon groaned. Those two together was the worst combination to ever cross the land. They are unstoppable. Just a few hours ago, they convinced Gemini to take Cindy's form and wreak havoc with them.
Loki needs to hurry up before Cindy does something stupid and the spirit king will be involved. Jasmine groaned at the thought. She cannot hear another speech from him ever again. The last one was horrible enough.
The Water and Ice Dragon is losing patience. She closed her eyes softly as she breathed in and out. She attempted to calm her temper. Most people would figure that a water and ice dragon would be calm and soothing like the ocean. No. That is completely incorrect. You see this dragon along with her feisty dragonslayer are completely like the ocean. Like the ocean they were a force to be reckoned with. They were unpredictable and the smallest storm can turn them into a ship drowning tsunami. But unlike her dragonslayer, the large blue dragon knows how to control the different mood swings that came with being connected to water. Being connected to ice tended to make them feel cold heart. The shut off emotions as the large dragon would say. Jasmine sometimes worries for her dragonslayer. She is afraid that she will never master control over the effects of being a water and ice dragonslayer.
"Jasmine?" A man's voice breathed out in confusion. "Are you sleeping at a time like this?" The large blue dragon opened her white eyes to look down at the source of the voice.
"Loki." The large blue dragon breathed out in her soft, soothe voice.
Loki stood in his place with his arms crossed over his chest. He looked up at Jasmine with a knowing look. Natsu, Gajeel, Sting, Rogue, and Happy stood behind him looking up at the large blue dragon with amazement as Taiyo did his best to hide from her glare. Her scales and features seems to fascinate them. Unlike the Dragon's at the Dragon realm, Jasmine's scales were dark blue and soft looking, but she had what seems to be water moving along the top of her. Ice formed large spikes on her back and some formed small ones. Her horns as well as the spikes on her tail were pure ice. Her eyes were white searching them. She took in every detail of them.
"I will take my leave now. If that is alright?" Aries spoke softly breaking the silence between everyone. Loki looked at the pink haired girl with a soft smile nodding at her. Within a blink of an eye she disappeared from their sight. With a "good luck." Softly spoken into the air.
Loki watched in amusement as the dragonslayers and exceed went from focusing on Jasmine to focusing at the Celestial plane. The dark blue glittering world seemed to hold their fascination as the large blue planet like orbs floated in the sky. They all stood on a glowing rainbow tile.
"How is she?" Jasmine asked Loki looking at him with concern. Jasmine knew everything that happened at earth. Not only did her dragonslayer tell her, but she has also been watching over them all this time. "Is she?"
"The dragonslayer is trying to take over. Since Acnologia was so powerful and he turned into a dragon, the power is trying to do the same thing to Lucy." Jasmine let out a gasp upon hearing Loki's words. "Aries was able to calm the process down, but it won't last long. It would only last a month and a half in earth time."
"So twelve hours in our time." Jasmine let out in worry. She looked down at them with a serious expression. "Then we have no time. All of you get on my back it is a long Journey to Cindy. I will have to fly you there."
"How can we get on your back? In case you haven't noticed you are covered in ice spikes. If we sit on you we will get a spike up our asses." Sting spoke up crossing his arms over his chest.
Jasmine looked at the blonde with annoyance. She knows perfectly who he is and what Cindy means to him. Jasmine knew everything about them. She knew about Rogue and Sting having feelings for her dragonslayer. Jasmine knew that Natsu and Lucy were in love, but they were too stubborn to be together. And Taiyo. Jasmine's white eyes focused on the small boy hiding behind Natsu. She finally noticed his presence trying to hide from her. She narrowed her eyes at him ready to yell at him. Steam rose from her body melting the spikes along her back. Everyone watched in shock as the water from her spikes flowed into her scales making intricate lines between the groves. Jasmine stood up on all fours.
"Ahhhh!" Sting yelled as Jasmine grabbed him by his foot with her tail. Sting hanged upside down in the air as Jasmine moved him around. A soft laugh echoed out of the large dragon. Jasmine then slammed him down with a groan on her back. "What the hell!"
"Comfortable?" Jasmine hissed turning her large head to look at him.
Sting growled in anger as he moved forward pointing an accusing finger at her. Jasmine immediately glared at him. Sting froze in fear under her icy glare.
"Aye!" The blonde man quickly let out in fear as he sat obediently down on the dragon's back.
"Everyone else I suggest you get on immediately." Jasmine hissed glaring at the dragonslayers.
Natsu and Happy let out an 'Aye' as they immediately jumped on the large dragon's back not wanting to be under her glare. Rogue let out a soft laugh under his breath as he climbed on behind them along with a mumbling Gajeel. Jasmine's large icy white eyes followed a guilty Taiyo as he climbed on her back to sit next to Natsu. Loki laughed shaking his head.
"That temper, Jasmine." Loki tsked.
Jasmine rolled her eyes at his words. When she felt Loki securely land on her back, she extended her large wings. Everyone gasped as ice shards appeared around them as a makeshift carriage on her back. All of them sat securely on the ice in the space between her wings. The large flapping soon started deafening their hearing. Jasmine warned them to hold on tight to the ice. All the guys yelled out as the force of the air slammed them down as Jasmine soared into the sky. Jasmine rolled her eyes in annoyance finding their screaming annoying to her. Especially Sting's. In quick haste, she moved the ice on her back to form a mouth guard around Sting's mouth. Sting let out a panicked yell as he tried to move the ice off with no avail.
Soon enough, the pressure of the air stopped and Jasmine was left flying gracefully in the sky. Her large wings flapped up and down against the wind as she soared through the Celestial sky. She didn't really care how fast she was going. Everyone got up with a groan. Jasmine turned her head to the side to look at them in worry. Thinking maybe she took it too far. Loki gave her a disapproving look. Natsu and Gajeel ran to the side of the ice carriage letting out the contents of their stomach into the air. Taiyo held his small head small tears going down his face. Happy let out snide comments at Stings condition making the blonde try to lash out. Sting attempted to pull the ice with no avail making him more pissed. Rogue watched the scene with amusement as he fixed his disheveled clothing and hair.
Loki continued to stare at the water and ice dragon with his arms crossed over his chest.
"What!" Jasmine hissed. Cold air puffed out of her nose as she huffed. She turned her large head to face forehead with a huff. "I did not do anything to receive that kind of expression from you leo the lion."
"Jasmine." Loki warned. The large dragon refused to look at him. Loki rolled his eyes with a heavy sigh. "That temper…Natsu, Gajeel are you guys ok?" Natsu and Gajeel were crouched on the floor looking down at the ice breathing heavily. Both snapped their heads up looking at Loki with a look of pure torture. "Jasmine can't you do anything about this?"
"Why me?"
"You made them have it when you launched into the air." Loki scolded. "Can't you slow down more?"
"If I slow down it will take us three hours to get to Cindy! Is that what you want?" Jasmine turned her large head to look at everyone on her back.
Natsu let out another groan as he leaned his head out of the carriage throwing his stomach out with a groan. Gajeel scowled in disgust as he looked away holding in his own sickness. Taiyo got up from his seat. Jasmine watched as the small boy helped Sting with his ice problem. Happy raced to Natsu's aid patting his back. Rogue looked at Jasmine. His dark eyes narrowed at her as if telling her to fix what she's done. Jasmine scowled snapping her head forward. No one glares at her like that. Jasmine doesn't like the twin dragonslayers. They are getting on her nerves. Not only do they think they are worthy for her dragonslayer, but also they are arrogant.
Jasmine let out a throaty laugh as she smiled evilly at the sky in front of her. She will show them.
"Jasmine!" Loki warned as he witnessed Jasmine's wings extended straight up. Loki's eyes widen in realization. He knows what she is going to do. "That damn temper!" Loki hissed under his breathe. The lion spirit quickly snapped his head towards his friends. "Everyone hold on!" He yelled.
But it was too late. As soon as the words left Loki's mouth, Jasmine slammed her wings down. Loud boom echoed around them. Jasmine was immediately thrusted forward in supersonic speed through the air. Her large body sliced the air as her wings came tightly around her as if forming a cannonball through the air. Everyone let out yelled out as they held as tight as they can to the ice carriage. This only made Jasmine increase her speed. She zoomed through the air without a care.
"Jasmine! Stop your tantrum!" Loki yelled above all the noise. "You are no better than Cindy when you act like this!"
That made the large dragon stop. Her flying speed slowed significantly letting everyone breathe easily. Loki let out a sigh in relief then turned to help the sick dragonslayer's up along with Taiyo. Happy whined leaning his back on the carriage. His eyes were spinning. He could even see fish spinning above him. Jasmine breathed out finally calming down her temper. She turned her head with a guilty expression. She thought maybe she went a little too far. Like it was said earlier her temper is like the ocean.
"I am nothing like that child!" Jasmine retorted to Loki. She referred to when Loki compared to her dragonslayer. Loki looked at her raising an eyebrow. He then pointed at Sting's mouth which was still covered with ice. "What!"
"Remove the ice, Jasmine!" Loki scolded.
Jasmine let out a groan as she rolled her eyes. Sting glared at the dragon a vein popping in his head. His hands fisted at his sides. Jasmine blew a strong gust of air towards the blonde man knocking him down on his bottom with a groan. The instant the air touched him the ice quickly melted. In an instant Sting got up charging towards the dragon's large head. Sting yelled at the water and ice dragon in full volume letting out his frustrations. Loki did his best to hold Sting back while telling the temperamental dragon to not do anything. Too late.
Loki continued at Jasmine as she grabbed Sting's leg by her tail again. Taiyo watched with worry as Sting yelled profanities towards the dragon as she just twirled him in the air. Gajeel groaned at their stupidity while he stayed hanging half his body out of the ice carriage. His face was completely bloated and green. Happy shook his head out of his confusion looking at the scene in front of him. It was chaos.
Happy got up looking around the carriage with confusion. Someone is missing. But who. Happy looking at everyone in the carriage. Jasmine and Loki were arguing. Sting was threatening the dragon as he hanged upside down in the air by her tail. Gajeel was hanging out the ice carriage groaning. Taiyo just looked at everyone with worry as sweat beaded down his forehead. Happy's eyes met Rogue's dark eyes.
"Where's Natsu?" Rogue let out realizing the pink haired man was missing.
Everyone immediately froze. Silence filled the air. All eyes landed on Rogue with confusion then they heard it.
"Happy!" Natsu's voice echoed through the air. It sounded far off. "Happy!"
Everyone ran to the back of the ice carriage to look through the dark sky. Where is he? No one could see him. Taiyo leaned over the ice rail in panic. Natsu's screams just echoed through the air.
"Where is he?" Happy let out frantically.
"I can't see him!" Taiyo exclaimed.
Jasmine turned softly using her wings to hold her in place in the air as she searched for the fire dragonslayer. Everyone except Gajeel and Sting ran to the front of the carriage in order to search for Natsu. Jasmine's eyes narrowed as she focused on extending her vision. Her large white eyes turned light blue as ice formed in them as if a magnifying glass was put over her eyes. Igneel will kill Jasmine if something happened to his dragonslayer. With her magnified vision, Jasmine found him. Natsu was free falling through the air a couple hundred yards away. He was far down. Natsu's face was puffy and green as tears went down his eyes. He was yelling as his limps moved frantically.
"Found him. Everyone hold on tight!" Jasmine warned. Jasmine extended her large body down tucking her wings under. She dived down at incredible speed. Everyone yelled at her back as they held tightly to the ice.
"Damn! Giant Blueberry!" Sting howled as he was flung carelessly through the air behind everyone. Jasmine tightened her tail around his leg making sure he doesn't fly away.
"Taiyo! I'm gonna need your help!" Jasmine yelled. The large dark blue dragon focused on matching her speed with Natsu's. She now flew down parallel to the screaming fire dragonslayer. They were just a hundred feet away. Taiyo immediately nodded understanding what he had to do. The small dragon spirit let go one of his hands from the ice railing he was holding on. He extended his small hand out towards Natsu. Taiyo's eyes glowed white making his pupils disappear. The small boy let out a yell as he focused on the air around Natsu. He attempted fire dragonslayer's speed so he doesn't slam painfully into Jasmine's back. It would break the ice carriage if he does. "Taiyo, you need to put more power!" Jasmine roared.
"I'm trying!" Taiyo cried.
The young dragon spirit furrowed his eyebrows in concentration. Sweat flew off his forehead. His other hand held tightly to the ice. Jasmine continued to dive down, she was a little past Natsu a little more and she will be able to swoop under him. With one last yell, Taiyo was able to send a strong gust of wind under Natsu slamming him up giving Jasmine the room she needed. Jasmine let out a roar as she quickly swoop under Natsu catching him successfully. Natsu landed softly on a cloud on Jasmine's back. Once the dragon felt that Natsu was safely on her back , she slowed her speed enough to let everyone recover.
"Is everyone ok?" Jasmine asked as she turned her large head to stare at everyone behind her. She let out a nervous chuckle upon seeing everyone groaning painfully as they laid down on her back breathing out. They were completely worn out. "My bad?"
"Ugh!" Rogue groaned rolling his eyes. He looked up towards the sky. He never felt so sick like he does now.
"I'm never riding a dragon again!" Natsu and Gajeel groaned at the same time.
"Aye!" Happy and Loki exclaimed agreeing.
"Taiyo, are you ok?" Jasmine asked focusing her attention on the exhausted boy. Taiyo looked up at Jasmine's head with a soft smile as he nodded his head. His eyes returned to the sparkling hazel color they once were. Jasmine then moved her head to look under body to where Sting hanged loosely upside down by her tail. "How about you, Blondie?" Sting's eyes were circling crazily around as he dizzily groaned.
"Fuck you, blu-blueberry!" Sting moaned. He felt like complete shit. That damn dragon. The blonde dragonslayer swore revenge.
Four agonizing hours later.
"Ground! Solid beautiful magical ground!" Happy and Sting exclaimed once Jasmine landed softly on the rainbow tiled ground.
"Dramatic humans." Jasmine breathed out as she dropped Sting on the ground. Sting groaned upon contact, but quickly got up marching towards the front of the dragon.
"Listen here you giant blueberry!" Sting yelled at Jasmine. Jasmine growled bending her large head down towards Sting. Her white eyes narrowed at him sending him an icy glare. Sting ignored her glare being too pissed about the way she treated him.
"What you say, Blondie!" Jasmine growled.
"Please don't start you two." Loki breathed out as helped a groaning Gajeel off the Dragon's back. Taiyo attempted to help Natsu, but the pink haired man proved to be heavy. "Happy help Taiyo with Natsu."
"Aye sir." Happy exclaimed flying up on Jasmine's back. Happy squeezed his paws on the back of the groaning Natsu's shirt. The small blue exceed flapped his wings really fast as he pulled up. Taiyo helped Natsu up with all his strength getting under the man and pushing up. "Natsu, you getting as heavy as Lucy!" Happy grunted making Natsu whine in disagreement under his breath.
"Stop calling me blueberry, golden retriever!" Jasmine hissed. Jasmine looked up at Rogue, who just stood behind staring at them argue. "Hey emo kid, do you mind controlling your dog?"
"What the hell did you just say!" Sting yelled a vein popping on his forehead. "Did you just compare me to a fucking dog!"
"Enough you two!" Loki yelled. The orange haired man let out a heavy sigh, he dropped Gajeel to the ground with a groan.
"Asshole." Gajeel muttered under his breath. The iron dragonslayer breathed heavily as he slowly got to his feet. He still felt the lump in his throat of bile wanting to release.
"I am tired of hearing you two fighting. You're giving me a migraine and we haven't seen Cindy yet." Loki complained shutting the bickering duo up. They both stared at him their eyes narrowed at him in annoyance.
"Natsu!" Taiyo and Happy yelled at the same time. Loki turned his head. He as well as everyone watched as Natsu rolled off of Jasmine's back landing on the ground face first. Happy and Taiyo stood on top with their hands covering their mouths looking down with shocked eyes. "Sorry." They both said at the same time. Natsu let out a grunt in response as he pressed his palms on the ground. He sat up leaning his back against Jasmine's large leg. Blood trailed down his nose as he smiled weakly.
"I hate this trip already." Natsu let out.
Taiyo jumped down with the help of Happy. Once the small boy's feet touched the ground he immediately ran to Natsu asking if he is ok. Natsu ruffled the small boy's orange and yellow hair smiling at him to ease his worry. The fire dragonslayer got up with a groan stretching his muscles, he felt revived after all that happened. He used the sleeve of his shirt to wipe the blood on. His face felt squeezed together. He couldn't believe Taiyo and Happy actually rolled him off of Jasmine because they didn't want to lift him up.
"Is Auntie here?" Taiyo spoke up after much silence. The small boy looked up at Jasmine with excited hazel eyes. Jasmine nodded then motioned with her head for everyone to look in front of her.
Everyone's eyes followed her gaze. They all stared in shock as they saw the rainbow tile fade ahead turning into a soft green pasture. In the middle of the pasture stood a tall two story brick home. A fence wrapped around the home as a homely mail box stood tall in the front. A couple of Japanese cherry blossoms stood tall and delicate all around as a small pound held ducks on the side. The dragonslayers and exceeds looked at the scene in shock.
"It looks normal?" Sting let out in shock.
"Is this Cindy's?" Rogue asked looking at Loki in confusion. Loki simply shook his head no.
"Actually it's-" Loki was immediately cut off by someone slamming the door.
Everyone snapped their heads forward in shock to see a certain red head stomp outside with an annoyed face. Her honey brown eyes looked up at the sky. She pulled her hands back and yelled into the sky. Sting, Rogue, and Natsu stared in shock as tears went down their eyes. They did it. They found her. They can save her. Sting took a step forward muttering her name softly.
"I am not done talking to you, Cindy!" A voice yelled from inside the home. The red head turned around staring at the home. She put her hands on her hips in annoyance.
"Well I am!" Cindy yelled back towards the home. She turned to walk away, but she was immediately tackled to the ground by two men. "What the fuck!" Cindy yelled. She let out a groan as her back slammed against the soft green grass. She let out a heavily groan as her body felt like it was being squashed down. She gasped for air. "Get off me!" Cindy struggled as to get the weight off her. Hard hands wrapped around her waist tightly cutting off her air supply. "I said get the fuck off!"
The red head let out a loud yell as she used all her strength to list the weight off her. Lifting her head she looked down at what was on her. Her eyebrows furrowed in confusion. Two men? Blonde and Black hair? What the hell?
"We missed you!" Their deep voices breathed out huskily. Their bodies shook. Cindy's eyes widen in shock upon recognizing the voices.
"You didn't?" Cindy breathed out in shock. Tears came down her eyes. She shook her heads back and forth. "You can't be here! Do you know what you did!"
"We missed you!" Sting let out lifting his head off of Cindy's chest. Him and Rogue sat up giving Cindy room. Cindy sat up tears trailing down her eyes.
"You can't be here." She cried. Her honey brown eyes then looked behind them to see her dragon along with Natsu, Gajeel, Taiyo, Happy, and Loki. "You all can't be here! This is dangerous!"
"Auntie!" Taiyo cried as he ran to her. Tears came down his eyes. Taiyo jumped once he was close enough. Cindy slammed back down to the ground with a grunt. Taiyo's small arms wrapped around his Aunt's neck as he sobbed loudly. "Auntie, I missed you."
"I missed you to, Booger." Cindy cried as she wrapped her arms around her nephew. She hugged him tightly to her. "A-All of you are idiots!" Cindy cried. "Why are you here?"
"It's Lucy." Natsu let out as he walked in front of Cindy. Cindy snapped her head up at Natsu in shock. Fear overwhelmed her as she shook her head no. She saved her sister. They shouldn't be here. She saved them. "The magic…"
"The magic she carries might kill her or worse." Jasmine spoke sadly.
Cindy's eyes widen in horror. She shook her head no as she sobbed loudly. No. She saved them. She saved her sister. Lucy shouldn't be…the magic? Cindy refused to believe it.
"Cindy? Sweetie. Are you ok?" A voice spoke from inside the home. Everyone's head snapped towards the door to see a tall beautiful blonde woman open the door. She looked down at her daughter sobbing opening as she held a small boy to her. The woman's eyes widen in shock and confusion as she turned to look at the unexpected guest she had. Her eyes widen in realization when she recognized most of them. Her Honey brown eyes landed on a certain pink haired. "Natsu?"
"Layla." Loki spoke catching the woman's attention.
