Well I have to warn everyone this chapter gets pretty intense …so you have been warned..
I hope you all like this chapter and know I will be ending this story on chapter 30 so just one more chapter :'(
Chapter 29: It's over
"Listen here, you freak of nature…Ahhhh!" Sting growled out in a pained voice. The smell of burning flesh filled the air as well as the sound of tortured roars. The sound of electricity pierced the air matching Sting's screams. Sweat beaded down the blonde's forehead as he attempted again to use his magic, but he ended up getting electrocuted again. "When I get out- ahhhhh- Damn it! I'm going to kill you!"
Sting's tortured screams as well as a dark sinister laugh echoed through the forest. The dark voice sadistically roared for Sting to do something. The light dragonslayer cursed as he struggled against his rope. He hovered over the ground with his hands tied above his head by a dark shadowy rope.
The reptile bastard that captured him and Natsu stood on the ground looking up at Sting with a sadistic smile. Sting sneered at the ugly bastard. He was pissed that he couldn't use his magic. Every time he tried the dark shadows from the ropes would only slam into his skin electrifying him from the inside out. And trust him, it hurts like a bitch. The blonde breathed heavily as he groaned in pain while moving his head to see Natsu still hanging unconscious next to him.
"Don't worry! Your friend will wake up soon. We wouldn't want him to miss the show." The reptile bastard laughed. Sting snapped his head back to him with a glare. His blue eyes promising a painful death. "Oh don't show that face, boy. It ruins your pretty face." The red eyed shadows behind the Strigoi roared in laughter with him.
"Ugly ass Strigoi bastards." Sting hissed. The blonde cursed feeling frustrated as he struggled in the air against the rope tied around his hands.
"Now don't be like that blondie. Name's Rue. I am in charge of these 'Strigoi bastards'." The reptile like man let out. "Now I would behave if I were you especially since I have your precious friend." Rue turned his head to the side looking into the shadowy forest with his bright red eyes. "Adam, bring the girl."
Sting immediately stopped struggling on his rope when he heard her voice. The blonde's eyes widen in shock as another Strigoi came out of the forest dragging a sobbing girl behind him. Sting openly panicked as he recognized the sobbing beat up girl on the ground. Adam, the Strigoi that dragged her body, laughed as he picked the girl up and threw her on the ground forcefully under Sting's feet. Sting yelled for them to stop as her cries echoed through the forest. Her porcelain skin was covered in deep gashes and burnt flesh. Her clothes were ripped and charred. Tears came down Sting's eyes as he recognized his short haired guild mate. The girl was the sweet yet strong celestial mage of Sabertooth.
"Yukino?" Sting let out softly in shock. The light blue haired girl looked up at the blonde man. Her agonized brown eyes widen in recognition. "What the hell are you doing here?"
"We found her wandering around the town here looking for you." Rue breathed out. "So we figured what a perfect opportunity for us." He along with his men laughed at the thought.
Sting growled angrily as he flailed in the air.
"Yukino, you need to run. Get the fuck out of here!" Sting yelled. Yukino sobbed out his name as she attempted to get up, but she was instantly shot down by black lightening. The Celestial mage shrieked in agony as her body shook violently on the ground. Smoke rose from her body. "Stop! Bastards! Stop! Stop hurting her! Let her go! She has nothing to do with this!" Sting roared angrily as he struggled to get free. Both of the Strigoi ignored him as they continued to send black lighting to torture the girl. "Yukino! Stopp!" Sting roared out.
His body covered in scales as he attempted to let his magic out. A dragon's roar escaped the blonde's mouth as he pushed himself to the limit in order to get free to save the girl. The shadows from the rope plunged into his body. Blood trailed down to the ground in drops, but he didn't care. Sting didn't care that the shadows were plunging deeper into his skin hitting bone. He didn't care that the shadows used his own magic against him torturing him from the inside out. All he cared about was the sobbing and screaming short haired girl on the ground. Laughter echoed throughout the forest as all the Strigoi and shadow demons watched the entertainment given to them by their leader.
Natsu stirred awake moving his head with a groan. His head throbbed in pain as his body felt light. The screaming and laughter awoke him and was making his migraine worse. Natsu moved from side to side to only feel his whole body sway in the air. He attempted to move his hands down to his face with no avail. Natsu finally snapped his eyes open, looking up he noticed his hands were tied tightly above him by a dark shadowy rope. The other end of the rope was tied to a high tree branch to keep him hovering a few feet in the air. The shadows of the ropes seemed to wrap around his arms digging into his skin. Natsu could feel them swirling in his body hooking onto all his vital organs and bones.
The fire dragonslayer was confused.
He couldn't remember how he got there. All he remembered was running through the forest with Sting in order to help a screaming girl. When they reached the girl, she turned into one of those nasty Strigoi creatures that he remembers fighting when they went to save Lucy. Natsu remembers fighting back against the reptile like creature then everything went black. The last thing he heard was Happy yelling his name. With a groan the pink haired man looked to the side to where all the screaming was coming from.
"Sting!" Natsu let out in panic upon seeing his friend being tortured next to him. Natsu's Onyx eyes were wide and filled with mixed emotions. He witnessed in horror as light exploded out of Sting's body then turn into shadows and slam back into him. The blonde was heavily bleeding and his roars were nonstop as he made each attack stronger, but it only attacked back at him with the same amount of power. Natsu then looked down at the two laughing Strigoi torturing a badly beaten girl with black lightning. "What the hell do you think you're doing!" Natsu boomed furiously.
"Ah! Look who finally joined the party!" Rue let out turning his attention to the enraged fire dragonslayer. He along with Adam stopped the torture on the now smoking unconscious girl. The Strigoi smirked at Natsu as he bowed mockingly at him. Natsu growled as he attempted to pull his arms free from the ropes. "I wouldn't do that if I were you. You see those are special rope…" Natsu completely ignored him as he attempted to let out his fire to burn the rope off. The shadows of the rope made a hissing sound as it came off his skin then slammed back in. Natsu roared in pain upon feeling the shadows electrify his skin from the inside out. Rue let out a booming laugh upon the sight. Yes, this pleased him. Revenge was so sweet. "I tried to warn you, Natsu."
"Who the fuck are you!"
"Me? Well my name is Rue as you can tell I am a Strigoi." Rue breathed out pointing to himself. A sadistic smirk permanently plastered on his face. "All the shadows you see are my men."
"What do you want?"
"What I want? Adam? What do I want?"
"Revenge!" Adam hissed glaring at Natsu with his glowing red eyes.
"Yes, Revenge!" Rue breathed out. The tall reptile like man walked closer to Natsu still staring up at him. His red eyes never left the scowling dragonslayer hanging in the air. "You see Natsu, your precious girlfriend and her sister took someone important to me and our men. Our master! Imagine our surprise on the night of the heart ceremony we come back from getting supplies at the town to only find the cave in rubble. Our home destroyed! Our Master dead! Then we find out the Dragon Spirit still lives in a guild named Fairy Tail."
Natsu's eyes widen in panic. Did they do something to Fairy Tail? Natsu let out a ferocious growl as he struggled against his ropes.
"You fucking bastards if you did-"
"Oh relax! We didn't do anything to your precious guild. We should have." The men behind Rue in the forest murmured in agreement. Natsu let out another growl at them. Rue rolled his red eyes. "But like I said we didn't. We simply followed the Dragon Spirit back here in the shadows hoping he will lead us back to his mother. Which he did. We waited patiently here for a little over a month to execute our revenge and like the saying goes ' all good things come to those who wait'. Now we have set up a bait in the entrance of the Dragon Realm saying we mean business. That poor blue cat. Hopefully he lived." Rue laughed.
Natsu scowled at Rue with pure hatred. Smoke rose from his body as blood escaped out of the wounds the shadows inflicted. He let out a roar in anger making the Strigoi laugh. How could they! Natsu will burn them to a crisp! They hurt Happy! With another roar Natsu let out his magic in hopes of letting it explode out to hit these ugly bastards. Red scales covered his body. But his plan failed when his flames turned in to shadows slamming back into him making him cry out in pain. He tried again to only have the shadows slam back into him again. Natsu breathed heavily in exhaustion. He was practically gasping for air. Rue tsked under his breath shaking his head in disappointment at the fire dragonslayer.
Sting stared at Natsu from under his heavy eye lids. The blonde croaked out his fellow dragonslayer's name ignoring the stabbing pain in his throat. His body felt completely numb. Sting couldn't even feel the air blowing against him. His magic has depleted. Natsu turned towards Sting taking in his bloodied and beaten body. He watched in rage as Sting slowly looked down at the girl below him. Then his head went limp as he fell unconscious.
"Damn! Wake the blonde up, Lory. I want them both awake." Rue sighed motioning to the unconscious Sting.
"With pleasure." A dark voice let out.
Natsu's eyes popped out of his head as he growled furiously. He flailed in the air as he tried to escape the hold of the ropes. The shadows dug deeper into his skin. Rue and Adam stood to the side watching in complete amusement as Natsu roared in frustration. Fire came out of Natsu's mouth, but just as soon as it came out it turned into shadows reverting back slamming into him. Natsu cried out in agony as blood dripped down to the ground, but he didn't stop.
The fire dragonslayer was livid.
Natsu witnessed the beat up girl that was on the ground get up. The girl with the short light blue hair smirked as her eyes turned red as blood and her skin became covered in scales. Horns grew out of the top of her head. She lifted her hand up towards Sting. Natsu yelled 'no' jerking his body towards Sting trying to stop the attack, trying to get in the way. But he failed. He watched in horror as Sting was forcefully awoken by reptile girl's black lightening.
"You fucking bastard! I am going to kill you!" Natsu snarled above Sting's screams. The fire dragonslayer now had his veins sticking out as his Onyx eyes burned with a loathing fire.
"Ah! That was quite rude! Don't you think so Lory?" Rue let out tilting his head towards the reptile girl. "This boy doesn't seem to learn anything. Can you teach him a lesson?"
"I will have it engrained in him." Lory answered. Lory was about to lift his other hand up towards Natsu to send him a world of pain, but he was quickly interrupted. The Strigoi still with Yukino's appearance stared at the now laughing blonde in confusion. Sting looking insane as he laughed to himself. "Why do you laugh, blondie?"
"It was a good trick." Sting breathed out darkly. He lifted his head slightly looking down at Lory, still in Yukino's form, with a sadistic smile. Natsu turned his head to stare at Sting in shock. It didn't even sound like the blonde. Sting's voice seemed to be filled with so much darkness and hatred. He has lost his mind. "I believed you. I actually fell for it. For your impressive performance, let me give you some advice."
Lory, Rue, and Adam all looked at each other in confusion then back at Sting. The blonde's chapped split lips tilted up in a sadistic smirk. Despite his state he still held an arrogant look as he stared down at his capturers.
"What is it?" Rue asked crossing his arms over his chest. His voice held amusement towards the blonde's behavior.
"Run." Sting breathed out huskily. His blue eyes burned alive with a promising fire. "Run while you can. Because I swear to you, you will die a horrible and painful death."
Lory scowled in annoyance as he sent his black lightening towards Sting. Natsu watched the scene in shock as Sting howled insanely in the air as he was electrocuted again and again. Rue and Adam laughed at the fact that they made the blonde insane.
But then the laughter was cut short. Booming angry roars shook the forest echoing all over Fiore. If no one knew about the existence of the Dragons then they do now. Natsu lifted his head up while loud explosions vibrated through the forest. He can smell them. He can feel their anger resonating around him.
Especially hers.
"Finally!" Rue let out with a smirk. With a wave of his hand the Strigoi controlled the shadows of the rope to cover Natsu and Sting. Both dragonslayers struggled against the shadows. The dark smoke pierced into their skins again this time it went towards their throats. The shadows wrapped itself tightly around their voice box making them unable to utter a word or noise. Rue looked up satisfied with his work. The fire and light dragonslayer were covered by the shadows so much that they were invisible to the naked eye. They were blended into the tree's shadows. The leader of the Strigoi could hear the explosions of the Dragons and his men fighting. "Adam, Lory you know what to do."
Natsu watched in shock as two of the Stirgoi transformed into a badly beaten version of him and Sting. They smiled at their leader as they nodded their heads. Both of his and Sting's lookalike fell to the ground pretending to be unconscious. Rue flicked his clawed hand again towards his men. Shadows appeared out from in the forest surrounded the two unconscious Strigoi on the ground. Natsu watched as the shadows acted as a strong binding against the two. Natsu attempted to yell out and even get out of the shadows hold, but it failed. The Shadows only tightened piercing more into his skin. Tears of frustration escaped Natsu's eyes especially when he saw them.
"Natsu!"
"Sting!"
Lucy and Cindy yelled at the same time in shock as they ran to the unconscious lookalikes. Natsu struggled against the shadows again as he attempted to yell. He wanted to tell them to run. He needed to tell them that those were lookalikes that they were holding tightly to them. Tears streamed down Cindy's and Lucy's face as they held the lookalikes to them. Believing them to be the real Natsu and Sting both girls were overcome with grief stricken rage upon not feeling them breathing.
Lucy snapped her head up to stare at Rue with a menacing glare. Her honey brown eyes burned with rage promising the smirking Strigoi a painful death.
"You killed them?" Lucy yelled. "You hurt Happy and then you kill them!" Her tears falling continuously down.
Natsu watched from his position in complete shock as Cindy's body slowly became covered in ice scales. Both sister's magic was increasing at an alarming rate. Lucy's blonde hair seemed to float in the air while black scales slowly faded into her skin. The caring and loving honey brown eyes that both girls held were now pure white with rage.
"You killed my master and stole his magic!" Rue shrugged. "By the way, they are not dead, but they are extremely close. I am quite surprised they lasted this long though. The torture they endured was almost excruciating to watch." Rue laughed. Lucy and Cindy got up to their feet growling at the Strigoi angrily. "Their screams was music to my ears. Shall we wake them up so you can hear them to?" Rue let out. He lifted his black lightening covered hand up aiming towards the unconscious men on the ground.
Lucy and Cindy let out another growl in warning standing in front of the bodies protectively. Their white eyes stared at the now laughing Rue studying him like a predator. Cindy lifted her arm up making a large ice wall surround them. No one in, no one out. Just them all alone within the wall. Rue let out hysterical laughter at the sight. They believed they could beat him.
Him!
Natsu and Sting watched the scene in horror as they couldn't do anything. Everything was in slow motion in front of their eyes. Magic exploded out from both sisters making anyone within the forest shiver in fear. Then Lucy disappeared from their sight. Cindy, on the other hand looked down at Natsu and Sting's lookalikes with a blank stare. The red head let her lips rise up in a sadistic smirk. She bent down over Adam and Lory, the two Strigoi's that disguised themselves as Natsu and Sting. Natsu and Sting heard her whisper to them softly that they will die a painful death. And with that Cindy placed her hand over them. Their eyes were wide in shock beyond the red depths revealed slight panic. The red head wasted no time in covering them in her blue flames. Natsu and Sting watched as Adam and Lory were forced back into their Strigoi forms by the flames as their screams echoed out painfully. Their bodies thrashed around the ground.
"You really thought we would think those bastards on the ground were the real Natsu and Sting?" Lucy let out darkly appearing behind Rue. The blonde aimed a scale covered fist towards the Strigoi, but he only jumped out of the way. Lucy matched the creature's sadistic smirk. "You underestimate us."
"It got you two to come here alone." Rue replied. His hands covered in black lightening as shadows surrounded him. "This is for Acnologia."
Cindy appeared behind Rue swinging a sword of ice towards his head. Rue ducked down to avoid the attack. Natsu and Sting tried to let out a yell as Rue lifted his shadow covered foot hitting Cindy in the stomach. Upon the impact Cindy spat out blood and flew back slamming into the ice wall.
Lucy let out a growl as she launched at Rue again. Only this time her hands were covered by orbs. The orbs were pulling in the life force surrounding them. Explosions left craters in the ground and ice wall as Lucy kept throwing the orbs at Rue. The reptile like man just kept dodging each attack as he sent his own attack at Lucy. The blonde stumbled to the side slightly as she attempted to dodge Rue's attack. The black lightening zoomed dangerously close to her touching her cheek along the way. Lucy let out a hiss as she bent down. She lifted her hand to touch her now charred cheek. Rue let out a laugh.
"I will enjoy killing you." Rue breathed out dangerously bending slightly down towards Lucy as if getting ready to launch.
Lucy chuckled looking down at the ground. She placed her hands down on the ground bending her body forwards. The markings of the bond on her wrist glowed brightly. Lucy lifted the heels of her feet. Her position was as if she was a runner ready for someone to shoot the gun in hopes to start the race. She looked at Rue with her white eyes. Her face darkened as a vicious smirk covered her face. The grass under her was dying off as she sucked its life force into her. Her body glowed.
Then she unleashed her wrath.
"I will also enjoy killing you." Lucy breathed out. Blue flames burst out from the back of her feet boasting her speed as she launched at Rue conducting her torture.
A few feet away, Adam and Lory managed to distinguish the flames with their shadows. Sting's eyes widen as he watched the two bastards head towards Cindy, who looked unconscious. Sting and Natsu attempted to let out their magic to escape, but the shadows immediately electrified them before they could let it out. Tears flowed down their eyes as they openly panicked in worry for their girls. They felt completely useless as they had to watch this nightmare. They kept trying again and again to escape the ropes to get out. To go to them. They didn't care about the agonizing torture they were experiencing at the moment. They needed to get out. They need to protect the girls.
But little did they know, Lucy and Cindy don't need protection at all.
"About time you two." Cindy let out. The red head looked up at the Strigoi in front of her with the same sadistic smirk that Lucy held. Adam and Lory's eyes widen in fear as they stared at Cindy's face. The red head's face was contorted evilly. It was like they were staring at death. "Now where are our friends?"
Not far off, Erza finished slicing one of the disgusting creatures in half. She was covered in their blood while her cloths were completely shattered. Exquiping back to her casual armor Erza let out a tired sigh. The Scarlet mage let her back fall back against the tree bark behind her using it for support. The dead bodies of the reptile creatures and shadow demons were scattered around her.
"Erza!" Rogue's voice echoed running towards her.
Erza gritted her teeth in anger as she held a serious expression. Once she felt he was close enough she lifted her hand up. Rogue jumped slightly back as Erza came out from behind a tree holding a sword to his throat with a dark expression on her face. He let out a sigh knowing why she was doing this. Lifting his hand up, Rogue turned his hand into a shadow proving to Erza he wasn't those creatures they have been fighting. Although the Strigoi can imitate the appearance and voice of a person, they cannot imitate their magic. Erza let out a sigh nodding her head. She lowered her sword back to her side.
"I apologize, Rogue. These creatures were taking forms of different comrades of mine as we were fighting." Erza let out apologetically. She felt slightly haunted as she remembered stabbing through the heart one of the creatures that took Jellal's appearance.
"It's ok. I had to do the same thing. These bastards are annoying." Erza nodded in agreement. "I found Natsu and Sting. Though the only reason I found them was because they were covered from the inside out by shadows."
"How?"
"I don't know." Rogue breathed out. "I can sense Cindy and Lucy in battle with the leader of these creatures. The Dragons and Gajeel are on their way there now. I told them before I came to you."
"Let's not waste time."
Erza and Rogue quickly moved towards their comrades stepping over the dead bodies of the Strigoi along the way. Erza bit her bottom lip in worry as she continued to run. She was worried for Lucy and Cindy. It was no doubt they are incredibly powerful and could have handled the leader of the creatures. Everyone felt their power. But Erza felt a darkness within that power. A sadistic evil lurking.
After just a few minutes both Erza and Rogue reached the clearing. They slowed their run to a walk as they watching in confusion as the three enormous Dragons and Gajeel looked ahead in shock. A large ice wall stood tall in front of them. Erza's eyes widen in shock as she walked slowly up to the ice wall looking in. Blood was splatter in different places along the inside of the wall. Cindy and Lucy stood tall in the middle breathing heavily a dark aura surrounded both of them. A badly beaten Natsu and Sting was unconscious on the ground. The blonde and pink haired men were still breathing in out softly. A wall of spikes was extended out around them almost protectively. All four of them were covered in blood. But Cindy and Lucy was covered in blood that wasn't theirs. Erza looked at the ground under them to see it was completely dead. The grass seemed to have been sucked dry of life. Different body parts scattered around. It was like a scene of a starving beast that was released into a cage of people. Some of the body parts were still on fire by the blue flames. The stench of death and burning flesh seems to cover the area.
Lucy and Cindy were looking down at their blood covered hands in shock. They couldn't believe how violent they got. They tortured the Strigoi until they released Natsu and Sting.
When Natsu and Sting were in the girl's arms, they let out a weak smile in relief and muttered that they were worried about them. Then right after that Natsu and Sting passed out in exhaustion. When Lucy and Cindy saw the state Natsu and Sting were in they just lost it. At one point they remembered not even using magic as they tore Rue and his two followers apart with just their hands.
"Cindy?" Rogue let out in worry.
The red head snapped her head up in shock to stare at Rogue. She was a complete mess. Her face covering in blood. Her red hair came undone from its ponytail and was tangled in a mess. Rogue gasped upon seeing how white her eyes were. They were practically glowing. Everyone watched in worry as her eyes slowly faded to the precious honey brown color. Her legs gave out under her making her fall to the ground. Tears flowed down her face as the ice wall and the ice spikes around Sting and Natsu turned to water and slammed down to the ground. The water fell over the flames extinguishing them immediately.
Igneel and Grandeeney immediately made their way to Natsu and Sting in worry. Erza, Metalicana, and Gajeel only stood still staring in shock at the scene in front of them. Erza was right about the evil and darkness that existed in their magic. Without proper training, Lucy and Cindy could be controlled by this darkness every time they lose control. All the Dragons were thinking the same thing. They couldn't go back now. Cindy and Lucy have to stay in the Dragon Realm until they could control their magic.
But will they be fine? All of Fiore will soon know the existence of Dragons.
Rogue took cautious steps towards Cindy. The dead ground crunched under his feet with each steep. His face stared at Cindy with a soft expression. The shadow dragonslayer bent down right in front of her. Cindy was shaking in fear of herself. She hugged herself looking down at the ground with wide eyes. Tears kept flowing down her face nonstop. The images of what happened kept replying over and over again in her head. Rogue muttered her name when she didn't acknowledge his presence.
Cindy snapped her head up upon hearing Rogue's deep soft voice. The minute her honey brown eyes met his soft red one she broke down. The red head immediately slammed herself into Rogue's warm chest hugging him tightly to her. She sobbed her fears into his chest as she told him that she felt as if someone took over her. It was worse than the time when she fought Lucy. That time she was a least aware what she was doing and had control. This time. She didn't have control. And it scared the red head to death. Rogue hugged Cindy tightly to him whispering comforting words to her.
"Gajeel. Erza. It is best to get Wendy and bring her here. I will do what I can until she comes." Grandeeney spoke up while she started to heal Sting. Gajeel and Erza nodded seriously as they turned around heading towards the Dragon Realm. "Erza?" Erza stopped turning her head towards the large sky dragon in confusion. "Stay with the boy in the realm. Make sure he does not leave there. He should not see his family like this." Grandeeney spoke softly.
Erza nodded again understanding the Dragon. She took one last look at the wailing Cindy, the frozen bloodied Lucy, and badly beaten unconsciously Natsu. With that as her last image, Erza followed Gajeel back to the Dragon realm. Grandeeney is right. Taiyo shouldn't see them like this. They wouldn't want him to see them like this. So broken.
"Igneel?" Natsu croaked as he stirred awake. The large red dragon looked down at his son with worry as he hmmed in response. The pink haired man's body was covered in deep gashes as the blood on him has started to dry. His face was slightly bruised. Natsu was only able to peek out of one of his eyes to look up at the dragon. He felt completely paralyzed from head to toe. "Lucy.."
Igneel smiled softly at his son understanding what he wants. As careful as he could Igneel spread out his large wing and slide it under Natsu's body. The large dragon then slowly scooped up his son. Igneel walked slowly near Lucy. At a wings distance Igneel stopped and moved his wing that carried Natsu closer to Lucy. The dragon kept Natsu hovering in the air a few inches away from Lucy. The large dragon watched with caring eyes as Natsu softly called his lover's name.
"Luce?" The fire dragonslayer whispered out in a pained breath.
Lucy's eyes widen in shock as she looked up slightly to see Natsu bruised face looking at her with worry. The white in her eyes faded back to honey brown as tears flowed down her face. Much like her younger sister, Lucy was terrified of herself. Her body shook in fear as she sobbed openly. She kept apologizing over and over again to Natsu saying it was all her fault. Natsu let out a painful groan as he managed to move his arm up to Lucy's face. He softly placed his rough warm hand on her cheek and wiped a tear from her cheek. Lucy started at him shock thinking that he couldn't move at all. He was able to move that hand, but it made everything inside him scream in agony. But he didn't care. Natsu ignored every single bone and muscle in his body as he smiled a tooth grin at the blonde in front of him.
"Wierdo." He simply let out before falling back unconscious. Exhaustion taking over him again as his arm fell limp hanging out the side of Igneel's wing.
Lucy immediately broke into a smile. She sniffed loudly moving towards Natsu body still on Igneel's wing. Igneel and Metalicana watched trying to stubbornly stop the tears from escaping their eyes as Lucy hugged Natsu to her.
"Idiot!" Lucy chuckled to herself. She let out a loud sniff as she pulled softly away from Natsu. She stared down at him with sorrowful eyes. She focused on his soft bruised face not wanting to see the rest of him yet. His eyes closed shut while he breathed in and out softly. After all these years he still looks childish when he sleep. "I love you so much." Lucy whispered softly kissing his lips. "It's over. It's all over."
