Jenny's pov-

My days were spent waiting for my baby to come, the time grew near. I waited with great impatience and just wanted to have my baby in my arms. I was too swollen and stretched to move and I laid in bed most days. I was nodding off for a nap when I left a sharp pain. I knew that was just a contraction.

I had been having contractions and slight pain all morning. It was three in the afternoon noon. The contractions really didn't bother me that much and I didn't worry too much. I didn't worry and knew I was in labor.

The pain was dull, but it sure got my attention. It felt like intensified cramping and I didn't seem to mind. I walked and felt like maybe a warm bath would help me. I climbed into the bath tub and the pain was a little strong. The pain intensified and I grabbed onto the sides. I cried out in pain from the contraction.

I had been in labor a few hours. I stood up dry myself of and I felt water dripping. I knew my water had broken and my baby would come in a short amount of time. After, three times of false labor I was having the real deal. I sent Pony to school this morning and Soda was at work, my idea. I told them to go on, the baby wasn't due for a few more weeks. I thought I would be fine , it's a little early.

I wrapped a towel around me and mopped up the puddle. I dressed in a night shirt and light shorts, I felt the pain and timed it. Contractions were five minuets apart and intensifying, it was time to get ready.

I found the phone and called my brother. My brother, Peter and best friend, Jamie would be the ones to deliver my baby. Both were doctors, I deeply trusted. I didn't like childbirth in the hospital, I had seen enough to know that wasn't how I wanted to bring my child into the world. Many women didn't know they had a choice. Woman had been having babies since the beginning of time, no reason I couldn't have a baby at home.

I called Peter and Jamie who rushing to where I was. I called Soda and Pony, both would be home soon. I was on my knees rocking back and forth just as birthing class I taught me. I heard the truck pull up and in came Soda. Soda had been with my for birthing classes, he was my partner. Darry couldn't be here, we didn't know where he was.

Soda was the next best thing, he was my birthing coach. He knew just what to do or say to make me comfortable. Soda took off his shoes and went right to helping me. Soda talked me through one of the worst contractions I had all all. I heard as a second truck pulled up, I heard as Peter and Jamie came into the door.

Curtains were closed, we prepared for the birth of a baby in the living room of that east side home. Plastic was placed on the floor, I would give birth where ever I was comfortable. My shorts were off and Jamie was taking a look. I felt a strong urge to push and Jamie told me it was alright.

I was on my hands and knees as I pushed. I breathed like I had been taught and pushed with my might. Soda was rubbing the small of my back and offering support. Jamie was ready to deliver a baby and Peter was ready to assist.

I felt as the baby's head was moving down, "Hold on, stop pushing so I can unwrap the cord from the baby's head", Jamie says

I felt a slight tug as the baby's head moved out and the body started to emerge. Within minuets, I heard my baby's first cry. "It's a boy!", Peter cried as he wrapped the baby in a towel. Jamie cut the cord and I took a glimpse at my baby.

I was so focused on the baby when Jamie remarked "Something isn't right.". I was looking at my little boy when Peter was examining me. "Jen, I think there's a another baby in here.", Peter says

"Are you sure?", I ask

"Yes.", Peter says

I felt the need to push five minuets later. I don't remember pushing the second baby out. I heard a cry and I knew my baby was brought into the world. "A little girl.", Peter says as he caught the baby

Jamie cut the cord and wrapped the little girl in a towel. I was given both of my babies after I cleaned up and put some clean pjs on. I laid in Darry's bed when the babies were cleaned up. I heard as Pony paced the floor and I laughed at the thought of that.

I heard a knock at the door, "Come in.", I called. "Can we come in?", Soda asks. "Of course.", I say

Soda looks a lot worse than I do, he looks like a new dad, it's funny to see. Pony will looks nervous and also like a new dad. "Come on , don't be shy.", I comes near me and Soda sits on the bed. I pat a spot for Pony to sit and he joins us. "What are you going to name them?", Soda asks

"Terri Elizabeth and Todd Douglas.", I answer

"Hello, Terri Beth, I'm your Uncle Soda.", Soda says in a soft voice

"Terri Beth, I like it.", I say

I took a long look at my new babies, my unplanned and surprise miracles. Todd looks a lot like his Daddy, especially in his little face. His eyes are a blue like his Daddy's, and his head has tuffs of brown hair like mine. He's handsome, so perfect, I love that little nose of his. Terri Beth looks so perfect. She has her daddy's eyes, hair, and little nose. She has her mama's face shape, but her lips and ears are her father's.

I loved them alright, and I had knew that Darry just had to come home. I looked into the sweet faces of our children and knew that their daddy had to be alright. He just had too to alright. I look at my sweet babies without the man I loved and dreamed of the day when he could come home.
