"Okay, how do I look?" Elliot asked walking down the stairs. He furrowed his eyebrows when he only saw John.
"You look dashing, sir. Just remember that you have to be back by midnight and get to bed otherwise I'll be dealing with it in the morning." John said before brushing off his shoulders.
Elliot furrowed his eyebrows. "I can do whatever I wish." John rose his eyebrows. "Alright, I'll be home by midnight." John smiled and walked off as Olivia walked in.
"Mr. Stabler, don't you look handsome!" Olivia grinned putting her hands on her hips. "Where are you headed?"
Elliot smiled. "I'm going to a party where a bunch of writers schmooze producers so their work can be produced. It's also a chance for me to schmooze sponsors." He straightened his tie. "I am supposed to meet Michelle there. She is my date for the party."
Olivia smiled and patted his chest. "Nice going." She looked at her watch. "You better get going if you want to get there on time."
"I guess you are right." Elliot nodded looking at his watch. "I'll see you later or tomorrow."
"Okay." Olivia smiled lightly before he left the house. She smiled when she saw Katie coming down the stairs with Nick behind her. "Hey sweetie! What's going on?"
Katie held up a book. "Nick wants you to read this to us." She handed the book to Olivia before cuddling her stuffed bear to her chest.
Olivia looked at the book. "Pleasure Unbound?" She crooked her eyebrow at Nick. "Where did you get this?"
"John's room." Nick smirked before hurrying upstairs.
Olivia put the book down and picked up Katie. "I don't think you'll like that book." She glanced at the book again and slipped it into her purse before carrying Katie over to the couch. "Should we watch some TV before you go to sleep?" She nodded before cuddling to Olivia's chest.
Twenty minutes later, Katie was fast asleep and Olivia was so interested in the TV show that she didn't hear the doorbell. John walked into the room and glowered at Olivia before going to the door. He furrowed his eyebrows when he saw a tall man with a large white box. "Hello?"
"Hi, I'm Michelle Pfeiffer's agent. She was supposed to go out with Mr. Stabler tonight. She can't make it. There was an emergency and she had to fly to Malibu this morning, but she wanted to return the dress that Mr. Stabler sent her." The guy explained walking in and putting the box down.
Olivia stood up and walked over. "She can't just leave him hanging like that." She opened the box and noticed the dress was her size. "Yes, she could."
"You know, you could wear the dress and go be Mr. Stabler's date. He wasn't expecting Michelle for another half hour." The agent explained. "I'll even drive you there. I've got a friend of mine in the car that will do your hair for you if you just want to change."
John took Katie and nodded at Olivia. "Go get him, Cinderella. My prince charming doesn't need to make tomorrow hell for me." Olivia chuckled and hurried into the bathroom with the box. She changed quickly and put on the matching shoes before hurrying out to the town car outside.
Elliot looked at his watch again. Michelle was supposed to be there five minutes ago and she was no where in site. A man hurried up to him. "Hey, I'm Michelle's agent. She couldn't make it, but we got someone else for you." He turned and motioned for whoever his new date was to come forward.
Elliot's eyes widened when he saw Olivia coming down the stairs. She was in the dress he had gotten Michelle. It was a red bodice with black lace that went into a feathered skirt that had mostly black and dark red feathers with some dark green ones. Her hair was up in some sort of twist that almost looked like a bun. "Ms. Benson?" He breathed.
Olivia walked over to them and kissed his cheek. "Believe me. This was not my idea."
"Michelle said she would make it up to her some other way." The agent interrupted.
"Tell her not to worry about it. I may owe her." Elliot smiled warmly before watching him hurry off. He turned to Olivia. "Well, well, well, look at you. I think you look better in this than Michelle would've."
Olivia grinned. "Thanks! I love this dress actually." She looped her arm with his before they walked over to one of the windows overlooking the city. "It's beautiful up here."
Elliot smiled and nodded. "Yeah, it is." He looked at her a moment. "I'm going to be lucky if no one tries to steal you away tonight."
Olivia smirked. "So, I'm yours tonight."
"Aren't you always mine? You're my nanny, aren't you?" Elliot asked with furrowed eyebrows.
"I'm your kids' nanny. If I was your nanny, I'd be handing out more punishments." Olivia smirked with a playful glint in her eyes.
Elliot smirked back. "Maybe I'd try to get into more trouble." Olivia chuckled and laid her head on his shoulder briefly. "You know, everybody has been staring at us since you walked in. You might've turned Mr. Marcus over there."
Olivia smiled. "As long as I don't turn him gay, good. I don't need that reputation on my shoulders."
"Any man would be crazy not to want you." Elliot grinned at her before realizing what he said. He cleared his throat. "How about I get you a drink? Anything you'd prefer?"
"White wine spritzer please." Olivia nodded before he kissed her cheek. She watched as he walked off towards the bar. She gasped when Alex grabbed her arm roughly and pulled her backwards, almost losing her balance. "What the hell?"
Alex nearly growled. "What are you doing here? Aren't you supposed to be wiping little Kasey's boogers or something?"
Olivia yanked her arm out of Alex's grip. "It's Katie, and no. I was invited."
"I don't remember Elliot asking Ms. Barbie to the party." Alex said putting her hand on her hip.
"That's because I'm not Barbie. If anything, I'd be an American girl or a playboy figure." Olivia smirked before a man walked up to them.
He was a little shorter than Olivia and had black rimmed glasses. He had gray hair and a lot of facial hair for her liking. "May I say that you are taking everybody's breath away tonight?" He asked Olivia before kissing her hand.
Olivia smiled. "Ah, that's sweet! I'm Olivia."
"Beautiful name! I see that you are here with Elliot Stabler. He is one lucky man to have a woman like you." He grinned at her before taking a sip of his drink.
Actually-" Alex and Olivia started before Elliot walked up.
"Spielberg, I see that you met my lovely date." Elliot smiled almost cynically before kissing Olivia's temple. "Don't tell me you were trying to take her away now, were you?"
Steven smiled. "I wouldn't dream of it. Actually, I would, but I'm here with my wife." He said before pointing at her. "She loves talking to Julia... Roberts." He smirked before looking back at Olivia. "But, I'm curious as to where you found her."
Elliot smiled and looked down at her. "She just popped up at my door step. We've been living together for what... five months now."
Olivia grinned. "I'd say about that. Almost six now." She pecked his lips and felt a little winded.
"Well, it was nice to see you." Steven smiled before walking off.
"I'm sorry, Ms. Benson. I just don't like him and I didn't want to look like a-" Elliot started, but was cut off.
"A schmuck? Don't worry. It's kind of fun. Since we already got your competition, we might as well keep going with it." Olivia shrugged before wiping off the corner of his mouth. "We don't need lip gloss on your lips though."
Alex folded her arms over her chest. "Elliot, don't you think it's a little inappropriate to bring your nanny to an event like this?"
Elliot straightened his jacket. "I think Ms. Benson is doing just fine. She hasn't caused any trouble. Tonight, she is my date, not my nanny." He handed Olivia her spritzer. "Here is your drink by the way."
"Aren't you having one?" Olivia asked taking a sip of hers.
"I had three shots of tequila at the bar." Elliot stated before looking around the room. "I hate getting schmoozed at these things, but they give me free drinks."
Olivia chuckled and patted his chest. "My family hates getting schmoozed, but they'll take it if it means free food." She downed her drink before licking her lips. "I don't know what they put in these things, but they are delicious."
Elliot laughed and took her glass. "Do you want another one?"
"Sure." Olivia nodded before Elliot put a hand on the small of her back and led her to the bar.
