A/N: I have returned to update 'Spider-Boy: Shattered Dimensions'! I know a lot of people have been asking for an update for this, and now their wish shall be granted. I plan on finishing a lot of stories this summer. This one, and 'Cataclysm' being two of them. Now, in the last chapter, Scarlet Spider and Spider-Girl took out some alien forces that were assaulting some citizens on the streets. Now this is where we left off. Enjoy!
Spider-Boy and 2099 Spider-Boy were standing on top of a water tower that gave a perfect view of the pillar where Mysterio's battle cruiser hovered above it in the very center of Central Park.
"So that's what's causing the dimensions to merge as one?" Spider-Boy asked.
"Looks like it. It's disrupting the magnetic field that divides our dimensions by merging multiple particles that are hidden deep in the Earth's ozone lair that have the power to create windows to other worlds" 2099 Spider-Boy explained. Sherman was impressed how he knew all this.
"You've got a real thing for science don't ya?" asked Spider-Boy.
"I sure do. Before I was Spider-Boy I was an intern at Alchemax to help me get a letter of recommendation to a good college. And I've loved science ever since I was little" the 2099 Spider-Boy explained.
"And I thought I was a nerd, I'm sitting right next to the REAL nerd" Spider-Boy joked, making the other one laugh a little bit.
"So, anyways. That thing can really do all that?" asked Spider-Boy.
"Pretty much. But to power something that large would take about fifteen atomic batteries which would have enough power to desolate five states in only 56.8 minutes" 2099 Spider-Boy explained pointing to the Pillar.
"But why isn't it doing that?" Spider-Boy asked taking his mask off and 2099 Spider-Boy did the same.
"See that big green glow in the center right there?" 2099 Sherman pointed to the middle of the Pillar that made a flashing green light every so often like a lighthouse.
"Um, yeah?" Sherman replied.
"That's what's powering it. It's an Infinity Stone" 2099 Sherman explained. The original Sherman however was confused.
"What's that?" Sherman asked.
"They're objects of great power, power great enough to destroy entire planets, maybe galaxies. In the hands of beings who possess power equal to that of the stones, they are a never-ending power source, even weapons. In the hands of a mortal, it would kill them. There are only five Infinity Stones in existence. As of now in my dimension, four of them are heavily guarded in the museum of natural history" 2099 Sherman explained.
"Only four? What about the fifth one?" the original Sherman asked.
"Let's just say I have a friend who is living off it's power as a battery that gives him his powers" 2099 Sherman replied.
"Is he an almighty being?" the original asked.
"No, he's a robot. The stone is his power source" 2099 Sherman said. Before he got to explain more, battle ships shaped like stars with a sphere in the center began coming out of the main battle cruiser.
"We've got company. And it ain't the good kind" Sherman said putting his mask back on.
"I've handled aliens before in my dimension. Let's just say Pluto was kinda upset they weren't 'Planet' enough for them to be a part of our solar system" 2099 Sherman said before putting his own mask back on as well.
"So, how should we do this? Toy with them a little and find a weakness before we attack?" 2099 Spider-Boy asked.
"Perfect plan" Spider-Boy replied before using his signature web slingshot to launch himself onto one of the ships and clung perfectly to one of the sides of the fighter.
"Let's teach these mother Shockers not to mess with Earth!" 2099 Spider-Boy said before doing his own web slingshot to cling to a fighter.
"It's two of the Spider powered beings!" one Agragorian shouted.
"Get them off!" the other replied screaming. Spider-Boy saw that there were two pipe shaped laser cannons on the front of the ship and then had an idea. He crawled down to the front of the ship and used his webbing to clog up the laser guns. Spider-Boy then jumped onto a billboard and clung to it before seeing the fighter explode when it tried firing at him.
"That's it! Clog up the cannons!" Spider-Boy said to his future dimension counterpart. 2099 Spider-Boy nodded and started doing what the original Spider-Boy did and clogged the cannons with his webbing.
"I gotta admit, it was a pretty good plan" 2099 Spider-Boy said landing on the ground as he took out most of the fighters, the others retreated back to the battle cruiser.
"You think they're will be more of them?" 2099 Spider-Boy asked.
"No doubt. There must be thousands of them, hundreds of thousands probably" Spider-Boy theorized.
"Good thing we've got teamwork and the element of su..." 2099 Spider-Boy was about to continue but a voice cut them off.
"Surprise? doubtful" a familiar voice said. Both Spider-Boys turned around to see Mysterio with his hands surrounded by glowing purple smoke.
"Just when we thought we had the upper hand" Spider-Boy said taking a fighting stance, with his counterpart doing the exact same.
"My master isn't happy that you're still alive" Mysterio said in his distraught evil voice.
"Told ya he'd be disappointed" Spider-Boy said mockingly.
"He won't be once I kill you" Mysterio said raising his hand and releasing purple energy spikes towards them. Both their spider senses kicked in and the original Spider-Boy jumped onto the top of a mailbox on the sidewalk, 2099 Spider-Boy clung to the front door of a bank.
"I don't think that moment's gonna come anytime soon. Because we've got something you don't" Spider-Boy said getting off the mailbox and continued mocking Mysterio.
"You know what they say; Six heads are better than one" 2099 Spider-Boy joked as he did a front-flip over to Mysterio and punched him in the check, sending him flying over to a brick wall and denting it.
"One works fine for me" Mysterio replied before stomping his foot on the ground and sending an electric pulse through the ground. The spider senses kicked in again and both Spider-Boys jumped into trees by the central park walls.
"I've dealt with a guy with electricity powers at my dad and step-mom's wedding. Been there, done that" the original Spider-Boy said.
"My master wasn't kidding, you really are a force to be reckoned with" Mysterio said.
"Who is your master!?" 2099 Spider-Boy demanded after using the web slingshot to knock Mysterio to the ground and get a small crack in his glass dome head which he didn't recognize.
"I'll never tell" Mysterio said chuckling like a little girl who won something from the claw machine at an arcade.
"You'd better" 2099 Spider-Boy said about to punch Mysterio again, but Mysterio used one free hand to zap 2099 Spider-Boy with an electric pulse to force him off.
"My master failed to conquer Earth two years ago. I don't plan on failing him" Mysterio said about to raise his hand that now had been surrounded with fire to shoot a stream of flames at both Spider-Boys but out of nowhere, a garbage truck rammed into Mysterio and launched him into the pond in Central park by the Pillar.
"Garbage day just came, gentlemen" said Iron-Spider before getting out of the driver's seat of the garbage truck.
"Thanks, I owe ya one" Spider-Boy said fist bumping Iron-Spider.
"No need, it's what I live for. Besides, someone needed to teach that interplanetary freak not to play with fire" Iron-Spider joked, making Spider-Boy and 2099 Spider-Boy laugh out loud.
"We have good news. An Infinity Stone is what's powering the Pillar that's causing our worlds to collide" 2099 Spider-Boy said.
"My dad knows what those are, he's worked with them in the past. And he says there is a way to contain them" Iron-Spider said.
"How?" the original Spider-Boy asked. Iron-Spider pulled out a metallic sphere.
"This orb is made from Adamantium, a metal stronger than titanium and other alloys known to man" Iron-Spider explained.
"He's right, Adamantium is known for building nuclear bomb shelters of the modern era" 2099 Spider-Boy said to the original Spider-Boy.
"But if a mortal touches it, they could die" Spider-Boy pointed out.
"Not if we destroy the Pillar" Iron-Spider said.
"Good idea, what's the plan, Spidey?" 2099 Spider-Boy asked.
"We take out Mysterio first. Destroy him, his battle cruiser, and his armies. Then, we leave for our own dimensions, but once you guys go through the portals, use your webbing to swing something at it. Something with enough force to destroy the Pillar and make the stone fall out. Once that happens, I'll catch it with the orb, lock it tight and the portals will be closed" Spider-Boy explained.
"Best plan ever" Iron-Spider said with his hips on his hands.
"Glad to be a part of it" 2099 Spider-Boy replied.
"Good. We need to gather the others though" Spider-Boy said before all three of them flung themselves through the air.
Mysterio swam back to shore, and the crack on his helmet got slightly longer by three inches.
"I shouldn't have underestimated them. If I don't contain them immediately, my master will have me thrown into a black hole and deem this invasion a failure" Mysterio snarled slamming his fists into the grass.
A/N: How was that for an update? Pretty good? I thought so. So, now the Infinity Stones have been introduced into the Spider-Boy universe, and Mysterio is using one of the many five to power the Pillar that is making the portals to the other Spider-Boys dimensions stable.
