Elliot walked into the kitchen sheepishly. Olivia was sitting on the counter with her legs dangling over the edge. "Hey."
"Hey." Olivia breathed before he walked over and sat on the counter next to her.
Elliot saw that she was still mad at him for yelling at her on the cruise. He knew he messed up; it was just hard to let her in when he had been betrayed by the person he once loved more than anything else. "I'm sorry for getting mad at you for buying Katie that lamp. It's been so long since anyone has cared for the children like you do, besides me of course. When Kathy left, she took the kids shopping, got them one thing they wanted, and disappeared that night. She took everything that was hers besides her phone. That's what I wanted to talk to you about before you told me you might be pregnant."
Olivia paused and thought over his words. She knew he had problems with trust. Who wouldn't? But, she wished he wouldn't focus so much on the past. "I know that Kathy left you with three kids without a single word. I can't even imagine what that must've been like. But, can't you see that I'm not her. I love your kids more than anything in the world, and the last thing I would want is for them to get hurt. I threatened Ms. Cabot for them."
"You've spent more time with them than Kathy ever did. She spent most of her time at the country club and left everything up to the nanny." Elliot stated before looking at her. He leaned closer to her, letting his shoulder bump into hers. "And, I do know you aren't Kathy. You are so much better than her." Olivia smiled lightly and looked up at him. "I am really sorry for biting your head off. Katie loves that lamp. I guess I just have to get used to you buying things for my kids."
"If it makes you feel better, I could use your money." Olivia smirked and chuckled when Elliot rolled his eyes.
Elliot smiled as she tucked a stray strand of hair behind her ear. "Do you think we could go back to the way things were before this? Back to... dating?"
Olivia grinned and bit her lip looking up at him. "I'd like that."
Elliot wrapped his arm around her before kissing her softly. "Good." Olivia smiled up at him. "Let's just agree on something."
"What's that?" Olivia asked wiping off the corner of his mouth.
"If we do decide to have sex again, let's use better protection." Elliot said dropping his forehead to hers. Olivia chuckled and nodded. He pecked her lips again before she dropped her head to his shoulder. "So, does this mean I can call you Olivia again?"
Olivia smiled and took his hand between her own. "Yes, you can, Elliot." She closed her eyes feeling his lips on the crown of her head.
Elliot grinned. "That's good, Olivia, because I want to take you out with me to the Golden Globes and the SAG awards. They are both next month and we can get you designer clothes and jewelry so you can show off how much I want to spoil you."
Olivia chuckled. "I would love to."
"Plus, you might get to meet Julie Andrews." Elliot smirked.
"Let's go now!" Olivia gasped standing up and pulling on his hand.
"Liv, we have time." Elliot chuckled.
Olivia shook her head. "It's Julie Andrews. We never have time!"
Elliot grinned and got down from the counter before wrapping his arms around her waist. "Can't you wait until tomorrow?" He started kissing her neck, slowly making his way to her earlobe.
"I... want... shop- oh God!" Olivia moaned letting her head drop back. She gripped his shoulders as he sucked on the skin behind her ear. The doorbell rang and she let her eyes wander towards the kitchen door. "El... door."
"John will get it." Elliot said dismissing her statement.
Olivia felt his hips push against hers, the throbbing between her legs unbearable. "Who's John?"
"Mr. Stabler, we have a problem!" John called through the house.
Elliot groaned. "Can't it wait? I'm busy." He asked. Olivia whimpered and pouted not getting what she wanted. He smirked down at her and kissed her hard again.
John called back. "No, it really can't. I'd prep yourself."
"I wish that I wasn't needed all the time." Elliot grumbled before taking Olivia's hand into his.
"I need you now and I can't have you." Olivia whined following Elliot.
Elliot stopped before caging Olivia against the wall and claiming her lips again. "God, you are amazing!" He took her hand again and walked with her into the living room. "John, what's going... on?" His eyes widened when he saw who was there.
John nodded his head. "Yeah, that's why I called." He looked at his and Olivia's conjoined hands and rolled his eyes. "This isn't awkward."
"Kathy?" Elliot breathed finding it hard to breathe. She was standing in front of him, dressed to the nines, with sunglasses placed on top of her head. She was grinning at him.
"Elliot, sweetie, how have you been?" Kathy asked with a smile. "Where are the kids? I want to see them. I can't even imagine how much they've grown since I've last seen them."
Elliot's jaw was still hanging open and he held Olivia's hand a little tighter. "What are you doing here?"
Kathy smiled and put her hands on her hips. "I came to see my favorite husband and my kids. I missed you guys so much."
"Liv! You said you would play Barbies with me!" Katie said running to Olivia's legs with a Barbie and Ken doll.
"Katie! Oh my God! Look how big you've gotten!" Kathy smiled at her daughter.
Katie stared at her a moment. "Hi." She said quietly before looking up at Olivia. "Liv!" She whined.
Olivia picked her up and kissed her nose. She gave Elliot a sympathetic look before he pecked her lips. "I'll be up in a while." He whispered. She smiled lightly at him and wiped off the corner of his mouth before heading up the stairs.
"Elliot, I wanted to talk to Katie some more. I hardly get to see her." Kathy complained. "And, why are you kissing the nanny?"
"Kathy, you don't get to see Katie because you left when she was two years old! And, I am kissing my nanny because we are dating! You and I are divorced and you gave up the kids! If you think you can come in and take them back now, you are crazy." Elliot argued, his voice sounding dangerous.
Kathy rolled her eyes. "El, you know me. I make a decision and if it doesn't work out, I go back and see my mistakes. I saw my mistake. I loved our life together."
Elliot shook his head. "Well, I love my life now."
"What? With that slut that's your nanny?" Kathy asked with a scoff.
"Wow!" John breathed shaking his head.
Elliot stepped towards her, pointing his finger at her. "Don't call her that! And, you don't know anything about her! You have no right being here."
"My kids are here!" Kathy fought back crossing her arms over her chest.
The front door opened then to reveal Daniel and Nick laughing. "I can't believe that guy almost hit the median. He's an idiot." Nick chuckled.
Daniel nodded and ruffled his hair. "Liv is going to find this hilarious." He looked up and froze when he saw his mother standing in front of him, smiling at him. He glanced at his father. "What is she doing here?"
"She just showed up." Elliot stated running a hand down his face.
"Well, how can we play with the Barbies without the dream house?" Olivia asked with a smile before walking down the stairs, ignoring Kathy and the awkward silence around them. She hurried out of the room, not liking the way Elliot was looking.
Kathy looked at the boys. "Look at the two of you! You are so grown up!"
Nick furrowed his eyebrows. "Mom?" He whispered.
"Don't be shy! Come give me a hug! I know your nanny doesn't give you the hugs that I used to give you." Kathy smiled.
"You mean the nonexistent hugs and kisses you gave us. Yeah, Liv's hugs are nothing like yours." Daniel said in a bitter tone.
Kathy's jaw dropped. "You boys will show me some respect!"
Olivia walked in then biting her tongue. "Elliot, please let me." She whispered. Elliot shook his head. Katie wrapped her arms around Olivia's neck.
"I will not show you respect! You left us four years ago. You're not a mother! I've learned that a real mother stays by her kids no matter what happens." Daniel said standing up for himself.
"Yeah, we know that what happened was your choice and we did nothing wrong. You did it because you were being selfish." Nick added crossing his arms over his chest.
Kathy's jaw dropped. "You two are behaving like spoiled brats! Go up to your room!" She said pointing upstairs.
Olivia handed Katie to Elliot. "Liv!" He tried to bring back, but she was already gone.
"Listen here you little blonde haired wannabe, you can talk trash about me all you want, but you have no say over my kids." Olivia said pointing her finger at Kathy and stalking towards her.
"Your kids? They are my flesh and blood! I gave birth to them." Kathy stated pointing at them.
Olivia shook her head. "That doesn't make you their mother. That just makes you the surrogate. A mother takes care of their kids when they are sick and helps them with their homework. These kids may not be my blood, but I taught Daniel how to pick up girls. I taught Nick how to pick out the weakest link in a store and pray on them until they break and you get the price you want. And, I taught Katie that you never buy retail. Well, except for one thing, but that's a discussion for when she's thirty." She smirked when Elliot rolled his eyes. "A mother loves her children and sticks by them no matter what. So, you can see why I call them my kids, because they are my kids. I would never give them up for anything."
Kathy chuckled softly. "That was a nice speech, but you are not their mother."
"Yeah, she is." Nick said speaking up. "I would be proud to call her mom. I made a salesman cry today because of her."
"You did?" Olivia asked tearing up. "I'm so proud of you!" She hugged him and chuckled when he rolled his eyes.
Daniel smiled. "I'd be proud to call her my mother too. My friends may think she's super hot and everything, but that just makes me cooler."
"Wait, what guys?" Elliot asked furrowing his eyebrows.
Olivia laughed and shook her head. "Relax, El. I'm not going anywhere."
John opened the door and gestured outside. "Goodbye Kathy."
"These kids are mine and they will always be mine." Kathy stated before storming out of the house.
John slammed the door shut and clapped his hands together. "She may believe that, but we certainly do not."
Daniel grinned at Olivia. "Liv, you were awesome! Why did you do that?"
Olivia smiled. "What I said was true. You guys are like my kids and I love you guys! I wasn't about to let her come barging in here thinking she could make you do anything she wanted."
"Who was she?" Katie asked looking at all of them.
"Well, that was the lady that gave birth to you." Elliot explained brushing back some of her hair. "I won't make you call her mommy, but that's who she is."
Katie frowned. "But, I don't want her as mommy. I like Liv as mommy."
Olivia held her breath until Elliot spoke. "I like her as Mommy also." He smiled. Olivia grinned and kissed him hard on the lips.
"She may be another kind of Mommy before we know it." John mumbled to himself.
